Princess Canopy Beds Terrible Bed, Worst Customer Service Ever

Princess canopy beds is a terrible company. It is owned by Joanna and Samuel Lemus. They sell online and on ebay. They are wonderful and kind until you spend your $1000 to buy from them. Their website looks great, but that is not what you get. You get a bed made of cheap mdf wood. Thye canopy poles are a cheap plastic that broke just shutting the curtains. The bedding I was promised would be custom and it was awful. The comforter is thin and has no batting (filling) in it. We were promised many peices of bedding and did not get all of the curtains, tie backs or pillows. When trying to talk to the owner to get what we paid for, she was rude and disrepectful. She said all her comforters are made thin, and she will not provide us with other items promised. We ordered other pieces of furniture and paid for them many, many months ago and still have not received them. Do not buy from them. They do not produce a good product. Buy from a local company or from a place you can touch the products.

I am really sad about the way you run business. I am not /name removed/, but you know this full well. We have talked on the phone many times. I have aired my complaint to you and heard all of your promises to fix it, yet no action. Obviously, who ever /name removed/ is, you owe her product and a refund too! It seems you are having a hard time keeping track of your upset costumers. That just proves my complaint and the many others on this forum about your company. I will not share my name, as this is a public forum. It seems you are all to eager to offer peoples names in your rebuttals and compromise their saftey. Therefore, I do not want my name in this forum for you to try and attack my family. Lastly, you do not think people notice that you are both Joanna and Janet per in the complaint forum. Nice try, people see through this. Same post, same days, all of your complaints. Different stories from Janet each time.

I had a very positive experience with princess canopy beds I cannot comprehend how rude people are here. Joanna is a very nice person and went overboard (seriously) to please me. She helped me through all the designing and worked with me through the hardship of creating a moment for my daughter. I was a nervous wreak because I don't know anything about decorating, but Joanna did, she gave me so many great ideas. She gave me multiple discounts on a whole bedroom set. She oversaw the shipping. She was there for me the whole way through. Thanks Joanna I will buy again when my next daughter is born!

I also had a bad experience with this company! I did not receive all the parts until I filed a complaint with my credit card company which was 6 MONTHS after I received the first part. The owner ignored my emails and phone calls regarding missing parts and the poor quality. This was poor quality overpriced furniture. I hope other people thinking of buying from this woman see this page and RUN AWAY. Everything about the bed was cheap. Pressed wood, artwork that rubbed off within a week, crappy quality bedding. What a crock. AVOID!

I have had an almost identical experience as the two Complaints above. My order was late and incomplete and when I finally did receive it, pieces of it looked like they were sewn by a beginner. And I have never heard so many excuses in my life about why the order was late and/or not right. I wish I'd ordered from Pottery Barn Kids or Macy's or some other company that wouldn't argue with and give me excuses. I've learned a valuable lesson.

This is appalling Joanna,
I can not believe how rude people are these days. Complaint board should remove at least your private address and phone number from the above erroneous complaint.
Keep your head up and God will see you through it.

The person "reallysad" is a sad case for sure, she is fabricating malicious lies.

Princess canopy beds is reliable and the products are beautiful.

reallysad, get a life...Princess Canopy Beds has been there the whole time for me. There service is top notch. They are kind and work hard to satisfy all our demands, taking extra time by answering so many of our questions.

when I wanted to give my daughter a bedroom set I fell in love with there product. I booked marked there site and tried to find something comparable. I could not find anything like it. I called and truth be told unlike other companies out there, A real person answered the phone.

That person was Joanna who walked me through the whole ordeal. From start to finish she was there for me. Not being a savy internet person, I relied greatly on her command and patience in getting the product that I really desired. Needless to say, The bed and furniture arrived. We where so happy, the bed was fantastic and more beautiful than what I had imagined it would be. The bed was easy to assemble, however, when it was all put together, My daughter Crystal was so ecstatic and so happy. All she wanted to do is sleep in her big girl bed.

The quality of the manufacturing was flawless, the bedding was perfect, I know I have three kids, and I worked for a major retailer.

That is why I can not believe the complainer "reallysad", it is impossible. I worked at Macy's I know what quality looks like, trust me I went through the bedding with a fine tooth comb. The person who wrote the above complaint is lying and obviously a disgruntled and unhappy person. Who would leave such a damaging complaint and not have the nerve to leave their name.

this person is bent on defrauding Princess canopy Beds good name, please do not listen to them.

Princess Canopy Beds Failure to deliver product

Horrible people. They do not deliver on time. It took 4 months before they made a partial delivery. When they finally deliver, most of the parts were damaged and some were missing. They said paint chipping from the parts 'do not affect performance'. Edges of several pieces were damaged. We are still trying to get the missing parts. We ordered the bed 08/05/2009. Do not order anything from them. The stuff is very low quality!

Thank you so very much for the well crafted Purple Zebra Print canopy. My princess loves it and she seems to spend a lot more time in her room and in her own bed at night. YAY - Score one for "Princess". It fit her bed perfectly and she is so excited for her friends to come over to see her bed. Thanks for making my beautiful baby happy.

This company is terrible! I got so caught up in their website that I forgot to check other sites for REAL reviews, concerns or complaints made throughout the years by hard working consumers such as myself before making a purchase. Just as the previous complaint I receive a partial delivery of broken merchandise after a 4 month wait! I have had to reach, borrow and beg for any information from this company owned and operated by Joanna Lemus. As of today I still have no reimbursement, no replacement, or completed bill of goods and it has been approximately 5 months now since my initial PURCHASE! My wait now is supposedly on the reimbursement money from the claim placed regarding my broken goods. My husband and I wholeheartedly feel that we have simply been riped off and will probably never see our money or any property. Joanna Lemus is an extremely argumentative person and it actually surprises me after dealing with her now for several months that she is still in business (my personal opinion of course). She will never find fault in her actions or the actions of the company and in fact became so unprofessional with me on our last telephone conversation that I have decided to fight her by sending this warning to other people like myself and the many others on different review sites have attempted to give the American working family! Cheap quality, poor business ethics, poor telephone ethics, no accountability...this is how I would describe the company, the product and the owner. BUYER BEWARE!

So excited bedding came - it is perfect! I have two very excited little girls in their right now :-). Looks like we will have to order another set for our younger princess. We all love it! Couldn't be any happier- beautiful!

It was my error not the princess canopy bed company! I somehow overlooked an email- I was right about delay, holidays are busy for everyone, & everyone deserves a break. I have a scheduled shipping date- and have found the owner kind and responsive- not at all like those other people had said. Looking forward to our beautiful princes bedding :-)

Ordered our bedding only- no bed 11/18. It is now 1/18 & no bedding :-(. I am hopeful it was the holidays that delayed the items-but I was also told she would get back to me by email & still I haven't heard. Waiting--waiting----hoping it gets here soon. She was very nice- Holding our breath for our little girls' canopy - was going to order whole thing for our younger daughter- but not sure it will arrive by her birthday in April :-(

Approx 9 weeks ago I placed an order for just a canopy (no bed) and called once for an update. She was very pleasant on the phone. When I originally placed the order she said it takes 4 to 6 weeks to complete. However, in our most recent conversation she said it takes 8 weeks and the address has to be verified before shipping out the order. She also said she will check on the status via email but "they" do not get back to her quickly. I am starting to become worried and think something is not right but I am still giving her the benefit of the doubt. Going to try calling her again for the update on the status.

These women are impostors Joanna they don't have the guts to even confront you. They are liers. Don't listen to them.
Joanna treated me with utmost respect every time I called and wrote. How appalling to see these reviews I agree with janet per these are horrible attacks!

I too just purchased a Princess Canopy Bed and I have to say I could have made one better myself. First of all, I assumed it was made out of real wood because of the cost of these beds. It is not. I think it might be mdf material? The head and foot of the bed do not match in height the sides of the bed and I feel like there is not much supporting the mattress but a few screws. I hope it will hold the weight of myself or my husband if we lay in bed with our 2 year old to read books. The instructions to put the bed together are very poor and once it is together is still is very flimsy. The canopy poles are very small pvc poles that sag when you add the weight of the canopy top material. When you move the curtains the poles actually sway back and forth. I am going to have to make really wood poles and bolt them to the sides of the bed to have a true canopy top. I highly doubt this bed will last very long. cheaply made and very poor quality. DO NOT BUY!

This company sells girl canopy beds on Ebay, they sweet talk you to purchase off Ebay so there is no feedback that you can leave... beware.

Bed falling apart! Get your glue gun ready as the "molding" around the bottom of the bed is stick on and doesn't last. Also knobs on the trundle flap fell off, I contacted seller and even offered to PAY for replacement and no response to date. What started off as a positive experience with the bed and the Lemus' has now become a negative one as I had hoped they would've stood behind their product. My suggestion: take our complaints to BBB...an option I'm seriously contemplating doing myself.

Oh, also wanted to add that some of my pieces arrived damaged though there was no damage to outside of the box. Heavy pieces need to be packaged better because they will get banged around in shipping. They should know this by now.

I understand how you feel. I hope you win with citibank. I am sorry Joanna Lemus has such bad costumer service that she has to guess which client she has upset. She puts her clients names and information out to hurt them. Lucky for me, she has not been correct on my identity. The bed she sold me was awful quality as well. Update us on what happens with citibank. Good luck.

I can't believe how childish il Texas is, Joanna is trying to correct things and you are refusing? What is this world coming to, my gosh. Obviously you did not sign for the physical damage of the box, why is Joanna to blame for a third party shipper? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Unbelievable, what does a slat support have to do with the overall quality of the bed? Nothing, just replace it il Texas, The beds are incredibly sturdy. My daughter and 5 of her friends play in her bed.

This is an insult Joanna, where are these people coming from?

I completely disagree with ilTexas she is obviously in the wrong. Its people like iltexas that make America more difficult to live in all the time.

You have me mixed up with someone in CA again I live in Texas. That is not my address and there is no one named Sonia who would or could sign for it.

As far as the tracking info UPS it says they received a pickup notice (biling information sent) nothing was delivered to us. It appears they are investigating it this is the first I have heard of it.

Maybe other have had good experiences but my experience with your company was not good

Your account of our situation is not accurate.

The item damaged in shipping was the back piece (cosmetic damage, deep gauges showing bare wood, paint chips etc) and the driver noted on the ticket the box was damaged. The box for the headboard did not appear to be damaged. I do not believe the headboard was damaged in shipping, it is poor quality, the shape is irregular not round and as for the corner as I stated in my original email it appears a corner was broken off, glued back on and repainted as amazing the paint is not chipped on that corner at all. It also arrived with numerous paint drips etc. again whether you choose to acknowledge it or not the headboard we received was poor quality. We have not received a replacement via UPS I have no idea what you are talking about.

I did not take a full refund but a conditional credit while Citibank investigates because quite frankly you left me with no choice. You would not let me ship the bed back after the mattress support broke, would not replace the back piece that was damaged in shipping, and would not replace the headboard. After taking the bed apart we noticed most of the pine 1x4's also had cracks I am concerned it was a matter of time before the entire mattress hit the floor. This is my opinion based of what we experienced first hand.

The bed was only slept on one week. I googled other images of slat mattress supports and all had more boards, more substantial side supports and many with a center support. I am not convinced these items were damaged in shipping in have geniune concerns the construction to support the mattress is 1x2’s the length of the bed (on the left and right) with (6) 1x4’s screwed into them on either end is not safe. Especially after seeing the cracks on the 1x4's and the screw holes after we took the bed apart.

I am waiting for Citibank’s decision and will abide by it.

I ended up disputing the charges with Citibank still waiting to hear what they decide - the "Mattress support" snapped on ours as our 3 year old was climbing into bed for a nap
