Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Priceline.com handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Priceline.com and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Priceline.com Airline booking issue carelessness

MSGLD [protected] subject matter.

AA Flight 4521 Bradley International 10/17 Departure to Tampa
Jetblue Flight 1534 Tampa 11/13/2020 to Bradley International Hartford, CT

Priceline did not notified Janelle Hago of changes.
Flight was rescheduled for the 11th of November/2020

Price need to reschedule Jannelle to travel today without any cost.

Priceline needs to be liable to reschedule my daughter to travel today.
This was an error on Priceline for not notifying her at all for those changes. This is irresponsible to do such a thing like. We are hoping that they assume responsibility for such carelessness. Thank you

Priceline.com 8 hours on the phone with customer service to apply a credit to my flight. Not even talked to the correct person. getting the run around

I cancelled a flight, was issued a priceline credit. i cannot use the credit on my own but have to talk with a priceline person to get the credit.
i have been getting the run around for over 8 hours. this is an unethical method to avoid giving me the credit. I am not allowed to talk to a manager or apparently anyone that can actually do anything.

Priceline.com Hotels

As a first time user I feel absolutely scammed after booking a hotel today.

I didn't realize that priceline makes booking by switching the my hotel choice to another hotel, which was at the lower grade, not matching its description, dirty and in unsafe area, while I was making a booking for the hotel at the similar price, and much better quality.

I requested to charge me extra and to book a different hotel, due to obvious misunderstanding of the offered rip off terms of the site however, I was merely sent away and got zero help!

Please review my booking and my call records, and refund me for the services / product, which I have never used.

Regards

Priceline.com Customer service

I booked a trip through Priceline in February 2020 for my fiance's birthday to travel to Egypt for May 2020. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we were unable to travel. We were at the height of the pandemic and the city that I live in was a hotspot. I called Priceline numerous time to inform them and the representatives were asking for proof of the pandemic, which is ridiculous and they refused to refund me for the trip while every other company in this industry refunded their customers due to the pandemic because the pandemic is not within the customers control. I had to call numerous times and eventually got my credit card company involved. I was unable to get a refund for the hotel and they sent me on a chase to call between the hotel and priceline numerous times. They were not helpful in assisting me with the refund. Till this day, I am extremely upset because I have been a long time customer of priceline. They would not even offer a credit to me for use at a later point in time. Instead, I am at a lost of my hard earned money. Terrible customer service. I will no longer be a customer of priceline.

Priceline.com Unethical behavior

My husband and I booked a flight a few months ago online for this past week Sept 13th - 18th. The flight was changed for the 13th to 2:48 instead of 3:36 no notification at all email, text, call. My husband just so happened to check and seen the flight was changed. My husband checked all day on Thursday the 17th to see if the flight has changed and saw nothing so he said he would check after midnight to see if they would update them. Midnight came and again saw that there was not a flight updated. He then called price line and he was told that the flight was cancelled and basically was told we can give you a partial payment and you have to book another flight. So I called again and was very upset and was told I would get a call back I waited two hours. I got called at 2:55 am Friday morning then I was told that the flight was cancelled Thursday morning at 8:48 am so that making 19 hours no one from price line called, text, emailed us to let us know and we did not sleep at all because we had to leave at 530 am to make it to the airport in time to get on the 7:30 flight to providence and we had to spend another $573.00 which we did not have to spend for two plane tickets one way this is absolutely unacceptable, and I feel as though I've been cheated and scammed the fact that we had to pay another 573.00 on top of the original 499.00 we paid prior plus the insurance. I was told we would get a partial refund and I've called multiple times after that to dispute this because its not being understood that we had to spend another $573.00 now this is a complete total of $ 1, 072 spent. I'm sorry but we don't deserve to be treated like this seeing price line has failed to contact us about this. I am requesting that we be refunded the money ($573.00) that was taken from us to no fault of our own. I don't want to have to look into legal action against price line because we were wrongfully charged and the stress this has caused us financially couldn't just have been put on another flight with no charge seeing this was not our fault we have exhausted all options to get some help and no one willing help us. I've also called Jet Blue and they keep sending me to price line and getting the run around this has been 3 days straight now of me trying to get some answers and no one is helping I keep getting redirected to another department. But if this cannot get resolved I will be looking into legal action and I don't want to because we really cannot afford this. Because of this I will never use price line and my husband and I will not fly again because of this horrible experience and I will also be leaving a review about this. I understand that the customer isn't always right but in this case we were cheated, and ignored for the actions of price line. I am hoping that someone can help my husband and I so we don't have to seek a lawyer about this we don't have the money but were left with no other choice here. Please if you can help us we would be so grateful for this. Thank You for your time.

Priceline.com Reservation stay

I have used priceline for months and months spending thousands of dollars booking through priceline. I have now had multiple experiences that their reservations are not true to the hotel policy. This last booking I was actually subjected to dangerous situations assaults of the staff and drugs in and out of the hotel. My cousin actually had her car stolen while in the parking lot. Was re-roomed due to broken air conditioning unit. Witnessed assault. Cops were there more than 5x in the matter of 2 days. A woman running around the hallways all night in her panties with an ankle monitor on yelling profanities. Priceline specifically said it was pet friendly and had to re-home and foster our dogs for a week because it was not pet friendly. So then I called priceline since I booked through them to complain about these horrific experiences and issues and priceline told me that nobody had complained to the hotel. I was told to call priceline since I booked through them. I stated that I was complaining. I either had 15 minutes to leave the hotel to get a refund for the unused stay or not get a refund at all. This is not the second time that their website states false advertisements and refuses to refund the money. I will never use priceline again. I was subjected to a stay in a hotel that was dangerous and was very scary.

Priceline.com Rental a car

I rented a car at a promotional rate, but when I went to collect the car they wanted to charge me twice in fees, something that was not in the ad, and they did not want to return my money.

They left me in this Florida heat for more than 2 hours waiting to speak with Priceline support, the attendant Daniel was extremely rude and rude, saying he could not help at all, told me that unfortunately I would have to lose my money if I didn't accept to pay Fox Rent a Car's absurd fees. But if I rented a car at a promotional rate, why would I pay twice the rate when I pick up the vehicle!

Priceline.com Hotel

I contacted Priceline to see if I could get a credit for a non refundable hotel reservation which I had to change due to the Covid 19 situation. They told me that the hotel would not give me a credit for a future date. So I cancelled the reservation. I spoke to the hotel The Quality Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport South and they told me that they would allow me to change the date to a date in 2021. However, since I booked and paid for this reservation through Priceline, Priceline would have to re-instate the reservation. I contacted Priceline and they refused to re-instate the reservation. I did not expect a refund but if the hotel is willing to change the date why is Priceline not allowing it. This terrible customer service. My reservation #[protected] is with Priceline for 12/12/20 for 1 night for a pre cruise stay because I had to change the cruise to 2021

Priceline.com Hotel rate charges

Made reservations through priceline for 3 night stay at comfort inn in kentucky. Priceline charged $73.00 plus tax for each night. Total came to $ 236.31 which they immediately took out of my bank account. We got our bill summery from comfort inn when we checked out and their total came to $191.37, that's with the tax. Priceline charged me an extra $44.94 then what the hotel would have. I called priceline to get reimbursed the $ 44.94 and they told me that the price they advertise is not always the same price as the hotels. Isn't priceline supposed to get the rates from the hotels at a discounted rate? They told me it was my choice as to who I wanted to book through, them or the hotel directly. They would not reimburse my $ 44.94. They said if I had called 24 hours before check in that they would have reimbursed it. Wtf... How would I have even known what the hotel rates were going to be 24 hours before I even checked in, since I booked through priceline? I obviously would not have known what the hotel charges per night, until I checked out and got the summery of charges. Buyer beware do not book through priceline they are theives

Priceline.com This hotel is literally miles outside any acceptable

Interpretation of the area it claims. I've had a few prior experiences where it's been slightly outside, or the star level was a joke, but 3 miles outside the zone, and thus completely removed from Mass transit. Nope, they may think they duped me, but if my CC doesn't back me up on this fraud, I'm gonna give these employees an old fashioned until they change their ways.

Priceline.com Flights

Priceline Trip Number [protected]. I booked flights to Europe through Priceline, cancelled because all my lodging cancelled my reservations. I am supposed to be able to rebook but the trip has to be completed prior to 9/30/2020. KLM was the carrier, they nor their travel partner, Delta is flying the route I booked any longer so KLM said I could get a refund but have to go through Priceline. Priceline says KLM denied the refund. So frustrated. I would love to go on my trip and September works for me, but I want to go to my original destination, not elsewhere. Seems it will turn out to be an expensive lesson.

Priceline.com Fake refund

I had a rental car from priceline purchased with an express car deal. The city I was going to was shut down due to the virus. Every other company just moved my current reservations to my new dates. Priceline said I had to take the coupon and then I could just simply rebook a car. The catch is, it has to be another express car deal on the website. The next great catch... There are no express car deals on their site! I have emailed and called multiple times to try and get assistance or pointed in the direction of these deals, and all they will say is "oh there are plenty on the site". Then when I asked them to point to one example, or show me a screen shot or any proof, they then say "oh sorry, we can't help you make a reservation". I finally got one rep that said most car rental companies are struggling and a lot of them are considering bankruptcy. Because of that none are doing these deals.

So I am stuck with a coupon for over $400, for an express car rental deal, that expires in a year, on a site that no longer offers express car rental deals! They will not help at all. Will only say "they are on the site, you go find them, we can't help".

Scam scam scam scam scam! Never use this company. Hotwire was awesome to work with, had 3 different no refund deals with them, and they refunded or moved everyone of them, and they actually helped. Unlike priceline which once they have your money, are completely useless

Priceline.com Hotel reservation at the marriott in fort worth

My name is Jill Button, I am a customer of Priceline.com, they usually look me up by my phone number which is [protected] or my email address: jill. [protected]@gmail.com. I am about to relocate for a job position and just moved out of my current place. I booked SpringHill Suites by the Marriott Fort Worth Historical Stockyards on May 16th, Saturday 2020 through May 19th Tuesday, booked a room through Priceline last minute before I walked into the hotel. The moment I got into the hotel, the Marriott told me I couldn't use a debit card for incidentals, that I needed to use a credit card. I don't have a credit card so they refused to let me stay there. Even though I had not checked in I was still charged $213.69 for a three-night stay. I called Priceline immediately and spoke with one woman that said she couldn't release the funds so she passed me to her supervisor. When the supervisor came on the line he said it takes one business day. I couldn't wait one business day, those funds were all the money I had until the following Thursday when I get paid. I asked him to release the hold. He wanted to speak with my bank which I allowed him to. My bank said it didn't appear to be a hold but they had actually taken the money out. After going back and forth with the Priceline supervisor he assured me the money would be back in my account on Sunday, May 17th. It is now May 19th, Tuesday and the funds aren't in my account. Because of this major inconvenience, I am now living out of my car because Priceline.com is holding up all of the funds that I need until I get paid on Thursday. I have not been able to eat and am in my car until I get this money back in my account. When I spoke with a Marsha via their chat who was super rude, she said it could take 7 to 10 business days. WTF? I am outraged. They are quick to take my money but now I am being told it could take 2 weeks to get the funds returned? I wasn't even the one to cancel this trip. I cannot believe a company would act so nonchalant and not give two hoots that they took the only money I had and now am forced to sleep in my car. Outraged doesn't begin to describe how I feel. It's just not right and I can tell you one thing, I will never use Priceline again. This is horrible.

Priceline.com Won't comply with airline policy

I purchased tickets for internal flights within Russia for May 28, 2020 for Aeroflot airlines via Priceline.com. On April 30 Aeroflot announced they give 3-year vouchers for any flight cancelled because of coronavirus.

Priceline.com, in spite of their own policy printed on their own website ("We always follow the policies of our travel partners. Please check your airline's cancellation policies for your flight") offered me to give a voucher for 1 year only. Practically what they said is that their own policy overwrites policy of their travel partners! What a shame!

It's not possible to speak reasonable to them, so I have to dispute my charges with my credit card. Insted of goving me a voucher, they'll have to pay cash back. How stupid it is from their side! In addition, i am planning to file complants with BBB as well as DOT of United states.

Priceline.com I bought a vacation package from Priceline before the Corona Virus hit.

My self and my wife bought a vacation package from Priceline before the Corona Virus epidemic hit the United States. I'm 68 and my wife is 66, the CDC advised people over 60 should not fly. The package included a flight to the Dominican Republic and a resort for 1 week. I've contacted Priceline numerous times to ask for some of my payment refunded. The vacation was a flight from Kennedy Airport to Punta Cana Dominican Republic. Since we were advised not to fly we tried to cancel, but Priceline would not help us. the dates of the package were 3/17-3/24. I'm not expecting a full refund, just a good faith payment acknowledging we were unable to go due factors outside our control.

Priceline.com hotel reservations

I booked a hotel reservation using Priceline and they double charged me. I stayed in a hotel last year for 14 days and paid half of what they are charging me for 8 days. I tried to cancel, they said, "Sure, but your charge on your credit card cannot be refunded." Are you kidding me, I never even got a chance to us AAA, AARP, Military Discounts. What kind of scam are they running here. I want my money back for sure, $1317.52.

Priceline.com uncomfortable stay

I booked a "4 star hotel" using Priceline's express deals for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend. I was assigned The Manhattan Times Square Hotel which I thought would live up to the 4 star expectations but ended up being a complete disaster. Upon checking in we were assigned to a room that we immediately had to leave because we were greeted by an engineer who was fixing the AC/Heat unit in the room. We complained to reception and were then assigned to another room. This new heating unit was also broken and the room couldn't get warm at all. They sent up an engineer but he realized he was unable to fix it and seemed to not even want to help us. After complaining yet again, front desk assigned another room which was warm but the bed was very rickety and the bathroom amenities kind of dingy. We called to let them know but front desk was uninterested in helping us. They were very rude and didn't address our discomfort with anything though they told them to let them know about any future concerns. I tried not to make a big fuss but as soon as the temperature started to drop--it was 28º outside--I had to. The room became so cold but we couldn't raise the heat because they had fixed the thermostat to a certain temperature. When I made them aware of this they told us they couldn't do anything about it, which they definitely could've because the engineer informed us that the heating in the building is computerized. My romantic weekend ended up being horrible! My boyfriend and I both woke up with sore throats and sniffles due to sleeping in a cold room and not even being provided with any additional covers and bedding. This unprofessional, unaccommodating hotel is listed at 4 stars but it might as well be a 2 star motel in the heart of Times Square. The location is probably the only thing welcoming and inviting about it. It was cold, nasty, loud, and the staff was very rude! Horrible weekend!

Priceline.com rental car

Beware of Express Deals for Priceline rental cars. We rented a car in advance for a Kona Hawaii vacation. We had a family emergency and we had to return to the mainland. I contacted Customer Service and then talked to a second level rep as well. There are absolutely no refunds under any circumstances. And there was no offer of a discount on future rentals. We lost about $250.00.
