C. T. is a liar and a fake. Construction on our ceiling vault started January 15. It was clear early on that the "two weeks, three at most" that C. promised us was not even close to possible. He started without a permit and didn't tell us. When the demo was done, he bailed "until the permit was approved". After that it was nearly impossible to get a response, the hold up was always someone else's fault. The permit took over two months to get approved and then the pandemic hit. Even then, we were pushing to move forward but something was always out of his hands. It wasn't until we called him out on it that he told us he was intentionally delaying the project until we gave him $10, 000.The problem with that is, he hadn't finished the work that would have triggered the next payment. The whole time he left us in a house with no insulation through the winter, gauged us on the price of everything ($2200 per skylight when the ceiling was already open), ($800 for 2 4x4" posts on our front porch that took 30 minutes to install, $3, 400 for insulation and drywall (batting, not spray foam) on a 10' long wall). Before you hire C., you should look up the many other DBA's he has had over the years, and notice that he had his license suspended in the state of Hawaii for 5 years [protected]). There are dozens of bad reviews of him lying, starting projects and bailing, and price gauging after coming in with a low bid under all of these other DBA's. Sometimes his wife gets involved to slander his customers and defend him. He sucks and you deserve better. Not to mention - our new contractor had to fix a bunch of his mistakes because they weren't up to code.
