Petco Disappointing Experience with Petco's Online Ordering and Delivery Services

I recently made a purchase on Petco's website for three items, one of which was prescription food for my furry friend. After waiting for three working days, I received my package, but to my dismay, the prescription food was missing. However, there was a note inside the package stating that the second part of my order would be delivered at a later time.

The next day, I contacted Petco's customer service to inquire about the missing item. I was informed that the prescription food was delayed because they were unable to contact the clinic. I was surprised because I had left my phone number and email address, but no one had contacted me. I decided to send the prescription to Petco's email, and the customer service representative assured me that my order would be shipped within 24 hours.

When the delivery date arrived, I stayed at home all day, eagerly awaiting my package. However, I was disappointed to find out that the delivery status in my account read "Attempt - Lock Out / No Access," and the delivery date had been changed to the following day. I want to emphasize that I had other deliveries that day, and I did not encounter any problems with them. The next day, I stayed at home all day again, but I still did not receive my order. To my surprise, the status of my order had been changed to "Delivered to Sender."

I waited for two more days, but I still did not receive my order. After six working days, I decided to cancel my repeated delivery and place my order with another shop. I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Petco and would not recommend this shop to anyone.

In conclusion, Petco's customer service was not helpful in resolving my issue, and the delivery process was unreliable. I hope that Petco can improve their services to avoid similar situations in the future.

Petco Poor Customer Service and Limited Fish Selection at Petco in Teterboro, NJ

I recently visited the Petco store located at 18 Teterboro Landing Dr. in Teterboro, NJ. I was excited to check out their selection of fish and other pet supplies. However, I was disappointed to find that their tanks only had small pleckos and a few other types of fish. I wanted to purchase two larger pleckos for my 10-gallon tank, so I asked a salesperson for assistance.

The sales guy asked me about the size of my tank and informed me that I could only have one plecko and it would have to be a small one. I was confused because I had asked for two larger pleckos. He refused to sell them to me and said he didn't work in that department as he was wiping the fish tanks down. I went to the front desk and asked for someone who worked in the fish area. The girl pointed at a man in a picture and said he would help me. I asked for someone else because the man in the picture had already stated that he didn't work in that department. She asked another salesperson to assist me, and we proceeded to the fish tanks.

The salesman in the picture told him something, and he left and came back 10 minutes later. He informed me that the manager said I couldn't buy the pleckos because they were too big for my tank. I was disappointed because all the pleckos in the store were small. I decided to put all the items my wife and I were purchasing back on the shelf and leave the store. As we were leaving, the salespeople laughed and said, "Have a nice day."

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at Petco. I had hoped to find a better selection of fish and pet supplies. The salespeople were not helpful, and I felt like they didn't care about my needs as a customer. I will not be shopping at Petco again.

Petco Unreliable Shipping and Customer Service for Pet Medication from Fosters & Smith/Petco

I recently bought some medication for my dog from Fosters and Smith, which is now owned by Petco. My dog has a pancreatic enzyme deficiency, so it's important that I get the medication on time. I selected standard shipping, which was supposed to take 4-5 business days. However, after waiting for that time, I still hadn't received the medication. When I checked the Petco website, I found out that I wouldn't receive it for another week! This was really frustrating, because my dog was getting sick without the medication.

Luckily, my vet is located at Banfield Veterinary Hospital, which is also part of Petco. So, I thought it would be easy to get the medication quickly. However, the customer representative on the Petco website wasn't very helpful. They just suggested that I place a second order and pay for expedited shipping. They weren't willing to contact my vet directly to speed up the approval and shipping of the medication. They also wouldn't credit me for the extra shipping costs.

In the end, I had to place a second order and pay for expedited shipping. This order will only arrive one day earlier than the original order, but at least it's something. I don't have any issues with my vet or Banfield - they're great! However, I would definitely recommend that people find another supplier for their pet's medication. If you want reliable service, shipping delivery as promised, and good health for your pet, then you should avoid Fosters & Smith/Petco for your pet's medication.

Petco Unacceptable Behavior from Petco Manager in Morgantown, WV: Screaming at Autistic Child for Touching Dog Food

I recently visited Petco in Morgantown, WV during the summer. I had an unfortunate encounter with a woman who claimed to be the manager. Her name was not given, but she screamed at my 9-year-old autistic son for touching dog food. As his mother, I felt it was my responsibility to stand up for him. I kindly told her that it was not her place to scream at him and that it would have been better if she had asked him to stop or told him nicely. I also mentioned that if she wanted to scream, she could scream at me instead. However, she responded by saying that it was her store and that she could yell at anyone she wanted. She even told me to leave the store if I didn't like it.

I decided to take my three children and walk away, but she screamed at me to leave her store. I asked to speak with the manager, but she said that she was the manager. I then asked who was in charge of her, but she continued to say that she owned the place. At this point, I realized that I wasn't going to complete my shopping and asked for her name. I told her that I would report her behavior, but she threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. I was shocked, but I replied by saying that she should go ahead and call them. I completed my shopping and spoke to the police, who were also shocked by her behavior.

I want to point out that some autistic children have sensory issues and tend to touch everything. Screaming at them only scares them and doesn't help the situation. My son wasn't hitting or making any sounds; he simply touched two bags of dog food. It wasn't his fault, and I felt that the manager's behavior was unacceptable.

I will be returning my products and will not recommend this store to anyone. It's not right to disrespect customers and yell at and hurt children. I hope that Petco will take this matter seriously and ensure that their employees are trained to handle situations like this in a more appropriate manner.

Petco Petco's Vital Care Program is a Scam: My Terrible Experience Trying to Cancel

Petco is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. They have a program called Vital Care that is a complete scam. I wanted to purchase a specific product from Petco, but for the first two weeks, they were always out of stock. Despite this, I still registered for the program. However, for the next two weeks, they were still out of stock. Canceling this program was a nightmare. I thought I had successfully canceled it online, but the next month, I was charged again. I emailed Petco about my struggles, but they told me I had to call someone else. When I called, it was a huge waste of time. The scripted answers they gave me did not even match my questions. I never used the program, and I tried to cancel it two weeks after signing up. The best they could do was make sure my membership did not automatically renew in 12 months. As a new dog owner, I wanted to connect with Petco for my dog's life, but after this experience, I want nothing to do with this company or any other company it partners with. They gave up 10 plus years of my spending in their stores for 12 months of $21 from me. This says everything about this company just going for the quick buck.

Petco Petco's Online Ordering Process Needs Improvement: A Frustrating Experience with Customer Service and Delivery

I recently made an order for my dog's food on Petco's website. However, when my order arrived, I was surprised to find two bags of cat litter instead of the dog food I had ordered. I immediately called Petco's customer service to report the issue, but unfortunately, they were not very helpful. They told me that they couldn't do anything about it and that I should contact DoorDash instead. I was confused as to why I should contact DoorDash when I had placed my order through Petco's website. However, the customer service representative told me that they couldn't look up my order and that DoorDash was responsible for the delivery.

I was frustrated and decided to try the chat function on Petco's website. However, the representative I spoke to was not very helpful either. They told me that their system showed that the dog food had been delivered and that I was lying about receiving cat litter instead. I was shocked and upset that they would accuse me of lying. I even had the original order number and the order number of the incorrect delivery, but they still didn't believe me.

Finally, I asked them to look at the picture the delivery driver had taken. It clearly showed that they had delivered cat litter instead of dog food. After seeing the picture, they finally agreed to issue a refund or have the correct order shipped via UPS. However, I was still disappointed with the overall experience.

I believe that Petco needs to take responsibility for their online ordering process. If they are going to offer an online service, they need to stand by it and ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly. They should also review their contract with DoorDash to ensure that orders are verified before they are sent out for delivery.

In my opinion, if a customer calls the store with the wrong order, the store should be responsible for contacting DoorDash and having them send the driver back out to correct the mistake. This would save customers a lot of time and frustration.

Overall, I am not satisfied with the service I received from Petco. I don't think I can commit to a regular delivery order when there is a chance that I might receive the wrong items. However, I do appreciate that they offered a refund or a new shipment. Perhaps if they improve their online ordering process, I might consider using their service again in the future.

Petco Petco's Online Pharmacy Products: A Frustrating and Disappointing Experience

I recently had an experience with Petco that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had previously purchased heartguard medication from Smith and Foster, which has since been acquired by Petco. While their prices are certainly competitive, I found that the hassle of dealing with their pharmacy products website was simply not worth it.

The website itself was difficult to navigate, and when I tried to change my vet's name, I found that the system would not allow me to do so. I called the company to try and resolve the issue, and was told that they had changed the name for me. However, I later discovered that the change had not actually been made, and I had to repeat the process multiple times before it was finally corrected.

Even after this, my order still did not go through. Petco claimed that my vet had failed to respond, but when I asked for more information, they were unable to provide any specifics. I even obtained a copy of the fax that my vet had sent to them, but Petco still could not find it or explain why there was a problem with it.

I spoke to multiple representatives, all of whom seemed sympathetic but ultimately unable to help me. One representative even seemed to be reading from a script that had nothing to do with my issue. Despite multiple assurances that my order would be processed or that I would receive feedback, I never heard anything back from Petco.

Overall, I found the experience to be frustrating and time-consuming. While Petco may offer competitive prices, their online business department leaves a lot to be desired. I would not recommend dealing with them unless you have a lot of patience and are willing to put up with a lot of hassle.

Petco Petco.com Prescription Service Review: Buyer Beware!

So I gotta tell ya, I ordered my dog's arthritis meds from Petco.com cuz the price was way cheaper than what the vet was chargin'. But let me tell ya, it's been a real headache dealin' with these folks. The first time I went to refill my pup's meds, they charged me twice! And then they said they had to confirm the prescription with the vet, even though the bottle clearly showed 3 refills. I mean, what's the point of refills if they gotta confirm with the vet every time? Even the vet called me up askin' why Petco was askin' for another refill when they already gave refills on the original prescription.

And get this, even though they confirmed the refills with the vet, they still charged me twice for the meds! I had to dispute the second charge with PayPal. And now, two months later, they're refilling my dog's anti-inflammatory meds without even askin' for a refill from the vet. But guess what? They charged me twice again! Apparently they charge when they start the refill process and then again when they mail the meds. It's a real rip-off if you ask me.

I'm keepin' track of all this and I'm gonna get my money back. But honestly, I don't have much faith in Petco's prescription service. I'd rather pay more and deal with the vet directly. This whole process has been a real waste of my time and I just had to let the world know. So buyer beware, folks!

Petco Vital care rewards

I pay for the vital care rewards every month. My 8th bag was free. I buy the exact same food every time.. my 8th bag of free food was not free. They don’t mention that they average the price of the food. The bag increased in price and they only covered the previous price and left be paying the difference. That’s not a free bag. I asked to speak to the manager to explain how that could be. He treated me like I was being stupid and didn’t understand my frustration. He just said that’s the policy. But that’s not what a free bag of food is. I would like to warn everyone that it’s just a discount, not free, so you don’t end up as completely blindsided and left feeling as undervalued as a customer as I did today.

Petco Never get the money off, or coupons.

I got a puppy in April and came to buy treats for her. At tge check out I was told that if I sign up I’d receive a savings after purchasing 3 items. I had more tgan that in my cart, do I signed up. I was then told after checking out that tge savings wouldn’t happen until the next time I came in. Well I bought $250. Worth of merchandise this time, and still didn’t get any kind of savings. It’s like tge old bait and switch, only they just keep telling you next time.

Desired outcome: Give your customers what you say you will at the time they are in the store! You charge too much not to give money back to ppl that buy multiple items whenever they come in.

Petco Hit and run in front of store hwy 6 and fm529

Today, 19MAR @approx 11:00am, my car was hit, asked the driver for his insurance card; driver got out then got into his car and took off. Went into your store at Hwy 6 and FM529 and asked for the manager at approx. 12noon (car in the meantime taken to Pep Boys across the street for repairs = $550USD = broken tire rod.). Went back to ask for camera surveillance. Cashier called for manager who said “Sorry but our cameras can’t see the parking lot in front of the store. Maybe you can check with Target next door - they have cameras.”

Your manager was not sympathetic or professional at all. Highly disappointed. I thought is this the billion dollar company who cares and goes out 100% for pets? and pet owners? I hope you can assist me. I am beyond disappointed by manager at Petco.

Petco The app and most especially customer service.

Signed up over a year ago. Was told so many bags of food would get one free. So I joined. April asked why we weren't getting any points. For grooming or food. They said a box wasn't checked on the app. This should not keep me from earning rewards for purchases. This should be credited. Contacted customer servicen even asked to speak with a manager. Was hung up on 5 different times after 4 mins or so getting nothing resolved. I will be getting a refund from the food bought today and getting it from pet smart. Petco Order card charges incorrect - money has been stolen from me

On 4/27/2023 I placed an order at Petco on line. During that order I was asked if I wanted to save 20% by signing up for a Petco master card - I said yes and signed up. I was sent a txt message stating that the temporary card was sent and would last 24 hours. I tried to place the order and got an error that the credit card authorization failed and to call Customer Service. I called and was told by the person that I needed to wait 24 hours and that it would work and they assured me that it would work and I would have my discount. I waited till 24 hours later on 4/28/2023 (TODAY) and tried again and there is no discount - so I call the customer service number. I end up being transferred 6 times during this call and finally get to a supervisor who assures me all will be good. She sent me a gift card to make up for the lost 20% from signing up for that card that no one can seem to make happen. This is perfect! So my order would be originally $298.89 but with the gift card the supervisor sent me and the gift cards I had plus my vital care awards the amount should be $194.25 so I am happy with this and click place order with a different card because the one Petco has given me is not working and when I get the receipt it shows that the amount charged to my account is $298.89 and my gift cards are now a ZERO! Petco has stolen over $100 from me and I would like this refunded immediately. I have all the proof as I kept all the screen grabs and you can listen to the calls I was on the phone with your people for 1 hour 16 minutes and 2 seconds today!. I am completely UNHAPPY in how this has all transpired. Please fix this immediately.

Petco Grooming

It's bad enough that you charge 6.00 for supplies ea time I have my dog groomed but you add insult to injury by charging that when 8th grooming is free.

I am looking for another groomer because that supply fee has me pissed. You are giving false price for grooming. Our dog loves his groomer so we're not rushing but I think your store will eventually go out of business for thjngs like this and your 10.00 a pound for cookies. I always bought them but now am starting to buy elsewhere that does not rob it's customers.

Petco Same day free delivery false advertising

Well do not be sold on the *FREE* SAME DAY DELIVERY* sales tactic. I just learned right now not only how this is not the case, but learned how God awful RUDE their online customer chat support really is! I will pay extra and stick with Pet Smart. I ordered today with a SAME DAY DELIVERY window of 2-4pm. It is 6pm. I reached out via chat to customer support and received It's for Tomorrow along with more rude comments. When I said IF it is not coming today as promised then I would like a refund. Without even saying Let me check more or contact the store, MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED! 😒 I contacted the store and was advised that they had just been notified of my order and pulled the order for delivery. That the store does not control when the orders come in to them, when the orders are scheduled for delivery, what time the driver comes or when the driver will deliver. WAIT WHAT! So You asked me to pick a Window for Delivery and Yet it's out of your CONTROL? Why even offer it! So in the long run, the store saw customer service canceled the order and said If a Supervisor from Customer Service doesn't call me in an Hour call them with my Reference # and see why this happened. Sounds to me like this Happens ALOT! Lesson clearly Learned! Thanks Petco!

Desired outcome: I wish it would be my order. At least a credit with the company to use to try what I was attempting to have purchased today.

Petco Incomplete/ invalid vaccination record

I vaccinated my dog there less than a year ago, they vaccinated my dog but did not add lot number or badge number, making the vaccination record invalid. I called to try to solve the problem and first they answered and then decided to not answer the phone and hung up. Vaccines without a lot number are not acceptable as there is no way to prove that the lot was not expired and that it was actually given to the dog. Therefore, and incomplete vaccination record is like not giving the vaccine legal wise. OfCourse the dog's protection is there but legally that record is invalid and required by the USDA. Since I required a USDA endorsement, I had to pay again the amount of 70 dollars to get the Dog certified as vaccinated. They only needed to add the lot of the vaccines (DHPPI and lepto) offered that they. We had to pay additional 70 dollars elsewhere to receive another 3-year vaccine when the vetco one was only 10 months ago. Its frustrating how literally no one help me in this location nor in the "help office".

Desired outcome: I want the 70 dollars back that I had to spend to get the dog vaccinated as a result of an incomplete record.
