Petco Grooming Services

Petco groomers do NOT do well with curly-haired dogs.

They call a tightly curled hair texture - matted! And they try to comb through curly hair with a small tooth comb! Anyone with this type of hair knows that you need an (afro) pick to comb through curly hair.

So they call the dog's hair MATTED because they don't know what to do with it!

DON'T TAKE YOUR POODLES AND DOODLES TO Petco. Unless you want them shaved bald!

Desired outcome: Learn to comb/groom curly hair. Use a Pick not a comb on curly dog hair. Stop immediately calling the hair type MATTED!Stop being rude to the owners of the dogs, because you don't want to be bothered with curly haired dogs.

Petco Wytheville VA Petco

The lady that takes care of the fish should not be working with animals. First off she was being a very rude to everyone, then I told her I was a first time fish buyer and was asking questions about the fish and she said the ones I was getting wasn't gonna be a problem together. She lied to me and then on top of it I asked what gender I was getting so they wouldn't fight and she told me the wrong gender. When I got a chance to look it up they where all males, and when I went there all the tanks looked like they were not getting taken care of properly with dead fish everywhere, almost every tank had a dead fish in it.

And one of my fish has already died because all the fighting, and it's been like 3-4 days

Petco Vital care

I was approached by the cashier about their Vital Care program. I was told about all the benefits I would receive. I was told how much it would cost. I agreed, and then he showed some forms on the small screen saying I just consented to starting the program. At no time was I told I could not cancel my subscription for a year. I received zero benefits from the program because when the vet at Petco produced my bill before I told them I had Vetco. They went to the back and increased the service costs and gave me new bill that was higher than the original. They are a scam to. I no longer have my pet as she passed 3 months ago and Vetco keeps charging my account. I have no other pets so I can not even use the service. How can they legally charge me for a program of no use to me anymore. I feel a class action law suit in the near future!

Desired outcome: refund the fee's I was charged for the past 3 months and cancel my account and any future fee's

Petco Grooming services

The rep that canceled my Wednesday appointment today was so rude and told me the option that is available online is not realistic and stated Petco was only for profit and doesnt care about its care and service for my pet. She gave me other appointment options that does not work for me and again, was so rude about it I just canceled my appointment all together and will be taking my pet elsewhere.

Today, Gresham Petco, 8:39am.

Appointment was made online for Wednesday 9/20 @3:15p

Please, Petco, do not make these options available if its not! I dont need to deal with your very rude [censored] employees!

Fix your website and appointment options. I was lied to and now need to figure something else out and this is not the first time you guys have canceled my appointments last minute like this. You guys send mass notifications to the me, the customer almost daily to remind me of the appointment then end up [censored]ing canceling on me - first time this happened you guys did it 2 hours before the store even opened as my appoint that incident was for 9am. I had no one to talk to or option to reschedule - just got a notification via text that it was canceled.

Petco Grooming

You charge a fee for materials! Which isn’t even mentioned on your web site and your groomers don’t even tell you about I supply my own shampoo a nd don’t use conditioner what materials are you charging me for ? Now ? Cologne ? Water? When I get a haircut or anyone else does the materials are included in the price! What kind of BS is this ? Petco has upped the grooming fee from $59.00 to $61.00 and still charging a material fee? ! I feel sorry for your groomers your customers will stop tipping and Petco could careless.

I am referring everyone I know to go to Petsmart,

Where everything is included , all Materials listed above are inclueded in the charge $59.00.

PETCO is so dishonest and think their customers are ignorant.

PS your manager Arnold at the Delmonte shopping center in Montery, Ca .PETCO is very snarky , rude and could careless about Petco’s customers.

Petco - Vital care

When I purchased the vital care membership, no one told me that the "auto renew" button was only for a yearly renew of a membership. I think I am not the only one that thought that. I turned it off until I was waiting to cancel it because I gave up my pet to a new family in April. The fact that I was still getting charged every month was a disappointment...

Petco Material fee

i just starting taking my dog to be groomed n i'm very satisfied with the groomer {Marley} n the grooming but i dont like the $5.99 every month for material fee. i understand everything has gone up but thats a little too much . i would rather pay $60.00 instead of $55.00 n that ridiculous $5.99. i would appreciate your concern in this matter. i never paid anything like that before. thank you

Petco Grooming

I dropped off my almost 6 year old Coton de Tulear for a full grooming at Petco on August 8th. With instructions to even up her cut and round up her muzzle. The groomer had her for about and hour and a half. When I picked her up the groomer asked me if anyone has ever said that she bites when she is uncomfortable. Maggie has been being groom everything couple of months for all of her life. The groomer said she would like to make a recommendation that I should take her to a groomer that can muzzle her. I was a quite surprised by this.

But worse than this is the cut that she was given. The mouth has been completely cut down with no muzzle left. The rest of the body is so uneven it looks like I could have done a better job myself.

When I checked out the clerk asked me if I wanted to add a tip. When I declined he appeared to upset and did not respond when I thanked him and suggested a have a nice day.

Petco Grooming

My dog was in for grooming in May 2021 and when I picked her up, she was on 3 legs and screaming. The groomer stated "nothing happened". After going to the animal emergency room, she had ruptured all the tendons in her lower leg. 2 surgeries later and physical therapy, I am in over $8000. Will Petco resolve this or will I need to go to conciliation court?

Petco Grooming at petco

Hello,

I took my dog in for grooming, and she got a gash in her head.

The date was July 16, 2023 @ 11am. I dropped her off 10 min early I was asked did she have any wounds or ticks or fleas. I received a call that they could not bath her but will do her claws for free because she has an open wound. I went back in and as soon as she was brought to me, I could see the wound. She is the color fawn, so it stood out. I informed the tech we would have seen that when we both stooped to switch her collar out. I asked for a cotton ball or gauze to touch it and show it was a fresh wound and she was a little wet. She went and got the Manager (Shaun) after I touched with the gauges (that's when I saw that it was a gash), and his response was we have flat crates nothing sharp. Every table have a sharp corner as I could see. He offered an ointment that we put on the gash. He stated that it was a vet that they used if I want to call and have them schedule (didn't say take of the bill). As I arrived home which is less that 5min from location a bruise formed on her eye. her gash heeled in two days, and I was scheduled for the following Sunday, but I cancelled because of this not sitting well with me.

I called the customer service line and was told I would receive an email to respond to in 48hrs. It's a month later I have not received anything.

Desired outcome: Please consider bumper guards to the tables and would have liked the communication I was told I was going to receive. This is a claim as if it was a human that would get injured in the store that's required to be done.

Petco Vetco Services and mis-information

On March 20, 2023, I visited the Vetco clinic located at Sugar Hollow Road in Danbury to have my dog's heartworm testing performed. We had our appointment; with Dr Aubree Zubovic, license number 004546. That afternoon, I placed an order for their medication thru Chewy and believed we were all done and good for the next year. I realized I had only ordered one instead of the full year's supply for Zoey but figured I could just order it when I needed it. I received the ordered medication without incident. On Saturday July 21st I ordered the next 6 months box of my German Shepherd Zoeys medication and after several attempts at outreach by Chewy to get the medication approval from you, they were told it was now denied as incorrect weight. At that time I immediately called Vetco customer service and asked to speak with someone. I had the records sent to me and low and behold the vet we saw at the clinic in March wrote the correct weight for my dog but prescribed the product for 26-50lbs, clearly the wrong one. After speaking with 3 supervisors over the course of the week I was told that all I had to do was attend the clinic we had an appointment at in Brookfield on July 29th (today) and the vet would correct the prescription. That was NOT the case. I was told that as the prescription was more than 30 days old that my only option was to retest the dog to get a corrected prescription, even though this was a clear mistake made on the VETS part. I as a consumer was basically bullied into paying for the test again. When the vet at the clinic today heard what the issue was, she told the woman who was checking us in, the SAME tech who told me my dogs were not up to date on any shots including their rabies shots, that I was not to be charged for the retest. The tech proceeded to state she was not able to do that and the best that could be done was a discount. This is when the 2nd tech working came over, took the tablet and READ my dogs account telling her that BOTH my dogs were up to date on all shots, that the shots they were there for today were needed back in FEB and were NOT performed as planned in March because they were not added. As I NEVER automatically get my records, I had no idea of the prescription error OR the lack of booster until this week when I asked for the records to be sent to me. I at this point am now enraged and making a scene as the people YOU employ at these clinics are more concerned with getting payment regardless of the situation. I can tell you 3 people walked out with me and refused to get services there today. I was forced to retest my dog, now taking her off the schedule that the other dog is on, leaving me to pay for a test that was NOT needed until March 2024 all because your TECH refused to find a way to make it right. This was an error on YOUR part, not mine as a consumer, yet the only way to ensure my pet is protected against heartworm was to pay for another test. I will NEVER be returning to your stores, clinics, groomers - NOTHING! I am DISGUSTED with how this played out - Vetco supervisors advise one thing and that was nowhere near what played out. What a waste. You claim to care about PETS - yet all you and your VETCO tech did today was force me into paying for a service I didn't need nor should have had to pay for to obtain medication that was already approved for a year. Criminals! The ONLY saving grace today was the ONE tech who took the time to READ my account, and the poor VET who wanted to override the charges. The beast tech who was checking everyone in should be fired. I should have NEVER had to pay for another 4DX blood test and at this point would appreciate having my entire visit refunded from today especially since this is the result of the clinic I was scheduled at right down the road from my home, leaving me to have to travel across time canceled the appointment at 130 after confirming 3 times earlier in that same day. I modified my work schedule for that appointment on Monday, made originally on JUNE 5th - nothing but headaches dealing with Vetco. This was the final straw, outside of continuous last-minute cancellations, 3 total per my records, not worth the stress I will just pay my VET at least they are honest, competent and don't cancel last minute.

Petco Customer Service

Your customer service is terrible

I spent over $1000 in your store to buy equipment and pets, but the equipment broke and the fish tank cracked, my pet died on the way home

So I decided to return them with the purchase receipt

There are other things I bought in the store but forgot to get the receipt, I don't need a refund

But your staff got annoyed with me and printed out a warning saying "maybe I won't be reimbursed for anything in the future?"

Petco really let me down by spending my money on it

We bought a version 3 Litter Maid self cleaning machine on September 25, 2022 (the receipt is faint so could be the 26th) from the Petco in La Canada, CA #00577. This one broke down and was unrepairable, I had a friend who is mechanically minded try to fix it, to no avail. So, I took it into our local Petco store where we had purchased it and left it there because the clerk said, they couldn't issue the refund because it was older than 30 days, but the manufacturer would because it was purchased less than a year. Our transaction was done by Edwin in 2022, transaction # 62228. The cost of the machine was $171.90. We would greatly appreciate a full or partial refund or a replacement machine. We did get over 6 months use of the machine, but to buy another is expensive. my phone number is [protected] (cell) our home phone is [protected]. That sounds like a good plan. I believe I took the machine in Petco at the end of April, 2023. I will send you the receipt, but

my scanner did a poor job. The receipt is faded from being in the box in the garage since last September. I can send the original but to what address? I can take the receipt to Fedex and see if their scanner can enhance the image, I could then attach to the above email. For now here is a rather poor copy of the receipt. Will this do? In any case, we didn't have use of the Kitty Maid for 5 months. I'll call you on Tuesday, Monday being a holiday. See attached. With the data I sent you from the receipt on May 3 I think this will this do?

Tiffany, please call me at [protected]. I do not believe you are sincere in giving us a partial refund. I hate not trusting people, but at this point, I have called and left many messages for you to call me. The receipt for the Litter Maid was emailed to you and any faintness was inked in. Now I cannot find the receipt, plus we paid $200 for a new self-cleaning machine. We are both on social security and your promise of a partial refund would really help us. Perhaps you will do me the courtesy of calling me or at least email me an update. I am 80 and need help with these things. Not having someone who says they are support not be in touch is not friendly, not helpful.

Petco Grooming

Dear Petco Customer Service,

My wife and I have been bringing our dogs, Hodges & Harley, for grooming at the Conroe, Texas store for the past five years and have never had a problem until recently. Ashley, Grooming Manger of the Conroe, Texas store kept hurting our smaller dog Harley when doing his nails. She would twist his legs and paws in awkward positions when grinding them. Whenever my smaller dog Harley sees Ashley he gets all worked up and stressed due to previously being hurt by her. We have brought this to the attention of previous and current employees and they told us to have our dogs in when Ashley isn't around. We have heard of many complaints about Ashley from both customers and previous employees.

On July 24, 2023, we brought both our dogs in for the Mini Make Rover when Ashley was in the store. My dog Harley started to panic. Before my dog was on the table, Ashley stated to the other employee (she was aware of our complaint about her) that these dogs are a problem and the other employee can stop trimming his nails on the last paw without finishing the job. My dog Harley was stressed from Ashley, who kept yelling over to the other groomer telling her she didn't have to finish the grooming. This upset me so I told Ashley that it's because of you my dog is all stressed out and that you always hurt him twisting his legs and paws in uncomfortable positions in previous visits. I also told her to stop stressing my dog out. Other employees that were not in the store had no problems at all with our smaller dog. Our larger dog is always calm. Ashley then stated that we can find another place to bring our dogs.

Due to Ashley's abuse of my dogs and her poor customer communication skills my wife and I will not do business with PETCO in the future. We will find a new place that wants our business and treats our dogs, my wife and I with respect. PETCO has just lost a long-time customer.

Petco I can't neither unsubscribe nor logon my account

Petco keeps sending me unsolicited emails with no information how to unsubscribe. See attachment 1.

I can't logon to my account neither to unsubscribe nor to delete my account. Their logon page keeps stating that something is wrong with my the logon page.

Their web pages have no information how to unsubscribe or delete an account. They have no email where to report about IT issues. See attachment 3.

I get the impression they do everything to hold the accounts and keep sending spam or unsolicited email.

Desired outcome: Unsubscribe and delete my account.

Petco customer service

I have been a Petco customer for over 15 years. I have spent thousands of dollars there. I had an incident today at the syosset store. I wanted to return a harness I purchased for my puppy. It did not fit her so I waited for her to get to her full size to see if it would fit her then. It did not. Thus it was over the 30 day policy. Obviously still brand new, the manager would not give me a store credit, claiming she had not control over the return policy. It is not the money that annoys me but the sheer lack of understanding and customer satisfaction in the situation. I mentioned that I do not have a use for it and she told me to donate it. I will therefore be taking my business elsewhere from now on, even if it means paying more money for the product I want. I just wanted you to know.

Petco Associate being rude and not doing her job

I went into the edwardsville pa store on monday june 19th 2023 and asked for crickets colleen said the girl should be in the back I walked back and forth around the store 3 times and there was no one anywhere I went back up to the register and told colleen I could not find anyone she then called for someone for aquatics I walked back and waited then a girl came and put her foot on a box and leaned on the counter and started talking to musa totally ignored me when I said I needed crickets she looked at me put her hand in the air and said I dont do crickets and continued to talk to musa who was working with a customer I then said you dont do crickets she looked at me and said no and turned away to continue talking to musa I have never been treated so rude the girls name is aly

Petco Employee extremely rude

The date is 6/25/2023 it happened between 12:00 p.M. And 1:00 p.M. I deliver for doordash I proceeded to the store and picked up an order for a customer delivered the order to the customer which then was told that there were six bags and I had only brought the one bag so I then told her I would return to the store and fix the problem got back to the store where I then had patiently and politely waited while the cashier checked out approximately 10 people and then was confronted by the man who handed me the order to deliver and he tried to find the order in the system to verify how many bags were ordered which he could not could also not find a way to get a receipt he then asks i'm assuming there would be manager there which she then asked him about the order he then said it was only one bag which was not true it was six she then in a very extremely rude manner turns to me and tells me that I should be able to bring get a receipt from doordash and I said to her no it's not doordash's door it's petco that i'm delivering the order from you're supposed to provide the receipt which they did not give me a receipt either so i'm assuming she did not appreciate that and told me to get the f out of the store and i'm being banned not to come back I then asked her why and she said because I was being rude to the other employees which is not true again so I was trying to ask her for her name so I could report the situation to corporate or whoever she would refuse to give me your name so I just left

Desired outcome: I would like to still be able to go to the store considering it would be for work related purposes and maybe tell her that's not how you treat people who come to the store and that it is the store's responsibility to provide a receipt

Petco Petco Store in Waite Park, MN Refunded My Money to the Wrong Card and Won't Fix It - Terrible Customer Service!

I went to Petco store in Waite Park, MN on 10-13-2020 to buy cat food. Unfortunately, I had to return it a week later. I have been trying to get my money back since then. I have sent numerous emails and made phone calls, but still no luck. They claimed that they sent my money back and even sent me a receipt. However, the receipt they sent me was for a different card number. It was not mine, not my purchase, and not even from the same day! The routing number they gave me had nothing to do with my bank. They refunded it to someone else's card and account. How did they do that? Why was it not returned to my card when my card was used for the return? What's going on at that store?

When I called to inquire about my refund, they told me that they sent it to the escalation department. However, when I asked to speak to someone in that department, they told me that I couldn't. They said that the people in that department don't talk to people like me. I just want my money back, and it's been three months! I have never been treated like this at any store before. I had to practically beg for my money back! It's unreal to be treated like this. Who else have they done this to? I think it's time to find out and get a lawsuit going because I know I'm not the only one based on other reviews!

I will report this to everybody and anybody until I get my money back. I will go to the BBB, the attorney general, whoever it takes. No business or company should be allowed to treat people this way. I don't care if it's only $77; that's my $77. They want to take your money quickly, but nobody wants to give it back. It's not fair!
