Peachtree SoftwareProblems with product and support

I have had ongoing problems with Peachtree. Sage won't support a two year old version of its product that doesn't run on Vista (another big complaint). We had to reload after our system crashed and now they think we have multi users. They won't help without a very substantial support fee. Their other solution involves more money - upgrade then they'll help. They don't even have a pay per support option. The program is a pain to use and clunky at best.

    Dear Bookeeper:

    Sorry to hear about your issues. Sage does have a policy where they will only support a software package for up to two years. You can read their obsolescence policy at which does clearly state that they " the current release and, in most cases, two prior releases of a product." You can always go to and access their knowledgebase system and their community forums for the answers you seek. For example if you go to their knowledgebase and search on Vista, you will find 12 pages of articles talking about issues with Vista.

    However Peachtree does have a webpage that outlines how to make Peachtree 2007 and higher work on Vista. Just go to http://www.peachtree/com/vista and read the instructions specific to your version.

    Most, if all, of the Certified Peachtree Consultans will support older versions of Peachtree. So in the future if you have any other issues with your software and the answer is not in the knowledgebase, then go to and find a Certified Peachtree Consultant that's close to you for support.
