We signed a contract in May, 2016 which stated a lifetime structural warrantee, equipment warrantees, concrete and other warrantees. The contractor treated our project as if it could be done in his spare time and the bottom line is we never received any warrantees, the control system and salt generator didn't work (had both replaced by another contractor), he wont respond and I am now in the process of filing a lawsuit in district court.
All I am asking is he provide the warranties per the contract. The last of the money that should have been paid upon completion and acceptance was used to pay the other contractors who completed his work.
I called 7 other companies but its been a couple of years and cannot recall who they were, I have had some experiences since with Pool Stop and I wont use them anymore either. I had every possible contingency in writing and they still refused to give me any warranties and because of their inactions I also lost the opportunities to get extended warranties on my equipment because the registration had to be sent in within 60 days and of course they never did send them in at all.
I hope this helps and I'm glad you contacted me, I will be in district court with them very soon and hopefully get what I was supposed to get in the beginning.
have an appointing with this group tomorrow for an estimate. I have been in your shoes before and don't want to go there again. What was the name of the other company you called? I am assuming you vetted this guy before the project and saw no red flags? Any advice you can get is helpful.
