terrible customer service
While purchasing an order of balloons on 10-4-17 in the Centereach Party City i was incredibly unsatisfied with the customer service, particularly reguarding the cashier Peter. He was incredibly slow and refused to offer my 25% coupon without calling a manager up to validate. He began to ring up other customers while my balloon order sat and waited for nearly 15 minutes without being blown up. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed I took my Mylar balloons to Party City in Stony Brook where they had no problem inflating them free of charge.

Went in for my 2 year olds costume i like to be early .. soon as we entered everyone was busy putting away halloween accessories or and props that was fine but what wasnt fine was noone stopped to asked if i needed help or any other customers.. In all of my 5 years of working retail customers come first you drop what you are doing and attend your customers that is what makes them come back . Never going back . Extremely bad customer service had to ask more then once for someone to stop what they were doing to help me for my childs costume. And also one costume per customer a very bad policy.
nothing but a headache
More and more often I started having issues with them, and that's a reason for me to stop dealing with this company. Because it's disappointing. They are often late and never deliver orders in time. It only means to me that they are completely unreliable and I don't have to deal with them. It took me over an hour to reach one of them and clarify the situation.
Guys, you'll lose your business if you continue working this way.

hi my name is Janine sartini I was in party city shopping on may 24th around 6:30 pm for my daughter she needed a costume for school when I went to pay it rang up as fullprice so I mentioned to the cashier it was on the clearance rack and another employee said same thing when I asked to speak to manager she was rude and told me basically tought love there is nothing she can do so I asked if someone can go in the back to do a price check and she refused so I went back there to double check what the sign said and my son who is 4 years old followed me because of the employs not wanting to there job my son was hurt a rack display (white metal) was sticking out in the aisle with nothing in it my son didn't see it and it sliced open his shoulder I would like to report the manager who was unprofessional thank you my number is [protected]
ruined our party
They promised fast shipping but my order arrived very late.
I bought many things from Party City and needed everything to be here by a certain date, but unfortunately shipping was very slow.
I tried to get a refund but they claimed that was impossible.
They said that in case of damaged or defective product it was possible to get a refund.
Items arrived 5 days after the party. This is absolutely unacceptable and I am extremely disappointed. Wanted to make a surprise for my son but Party City ruined everything.
personalized bottle openers (printed epoxy label)
I purchased these bottle openers as a wedding favor at end of march. They arrived on the 6th but I wasn't able to get to them to look at them until the 16th. When I opened the box their description was far off from the actual product. 1) the product said "minimum assembly required" I hadn't realized that minimum meant you were to take 3 raw pieces of product aka the metal opener the epoxy dome and sheet of stickers and assemble them all into a product that bares only a small resemblance to the product shown on their web site. I bought them from party city because they looked nice on their website but the product I got was the same product that I had seen on other website for half the cost. I have also sent in multiple complaints to the online costumer service that have all gone unanswered. I would like to know what I can do because there is "no returns on personalized items" even if there is a horrible description of the product online and a picture that is false represented but I cannot get anyone to answer me back.

they did not cancel my order
I sent them a message asking them to cancel my order. I felt that something was wrong when they did not reply. Party City did not reply no matter how hard I've tried to reach them. I made a mistake when I ordered from them and I needed my money back as soon as possible.
Several weeks later my order arrived.
After I received the order they finally replied and lied that they never received my cancellation request.
That was a complete lie! And of course they said "no" when I asked for a refund. Terrible site to deal with, avoid them.

I ordered something from this website PartyCity and the same day I contacted them and asked them to cancel my order. These people assured me that there was nothing to worry about and later I received a message stating my order was cancelled. But there was nothing mentioned about refund, so I contacted them again about my money and they said that they need approximately 5 business days.
One week later there was no money and they suddenly stopped replying. For about a month I heard nothing from PartyCity and then one day my order arrived. These scam artists never cancelled my order and they lied about everything. I will never buy from them again and I'm disgusted with that kind of attitude and their total disrespect!

I want to advise all people looking for Party Supplies and costumes to STAY away from Party City. Terrible customer service and can most likely find cheaper at Amazon. I ordered over $150 in product and after submitting the order found out the "promo" code didn't qualify. These "promos" are simple bait click to get you to pay over priced products. When I contacted them they could care less about my issue. I notified them immediately after placing the order and was informed by them that there was nothing they could do to cancel the order. But they will refund me after I take the time, effort and cost to send back to them. After getting my credit card company involved, Party City said they will include in my package a pre paid return label. If they can find my order and place a pre paid postage why not save the time and cost to ship it at all? This company didn't seem to care that I could spend money in the future with them if they simply cared enough to help my issue. Instead the customer service was rude and said the refund would not include the shipping cost ($30). They could prevent the $30 shipping charge but didn't. They could care less. STAY AWAY from PARTY CITY. They don't value their customers!
very disappointed with partycity
I have ordered two costumes + wigs from www.partycity.com website two months ago. My order arrived in a timely manner and I really like the costumes, very nice and the same as pictures. One wig was ok, but the second one was wrong. I contacted PartyCity customer care service and told them that one wig was incorrect and they offered me a replacement. So I sent the wrong one back and was supposed to get the correct one in max two weeks. It is now two months and nothing yet. When I contacted them about my replacement I heard nothing but empty promises. Very disappointed with PartyCity.
shipping ripoff and lies
I ordered from PartyCity.ca and they claim they ship from somewhere in the U.S. so they charged me $21.95 plus almost $10 in duties and taxes.
I get my shipping notification. The items were shipped from Mississauga, which is about an hour and a half away from me. I emailed them asking why I was charged for duties and taxes and insane shipping costs when you are shipping from Canada ... the response I get just said they ship everything from the U.S. and that is why I was charged that.
The tracking doesn't lie.
Party City's customer service however...
Anyone curious the shipping number is: [protected] on Canada Post's website. It clearly never crossed the border and was picked up by Canada Post in Mississauga and they have no response to give since they are busted.
If it crossed the border the tracking would say it went through customs.

no refund, no communication –scam
I don’t advise other people to buy from the website www.partycity.com. I ordered Halloween costume from them, but these jerks charged me for wrong sum. After that they provided the wrong costume. I contacted the rep and explained the situation. He told me to send the order back and promised money back. After that no delivery of my costume, no refund and the seller stopped to communicate with me. Maybe someone has any idea how to track this seller and return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
highest ranking manager = a-hole
I came into the store with my family to return a costume that was damaged. The cashier called the manager up to the front to authorize the return. Rather than just apologize for damages and carry on, the man was a racist jerk! His comment, I feel so bad posting, was "Yeah, that'll happen when ya let the [censored] make costumes, they can't see what they're doin!". Got our money, stormed out of there, no plans to ever, EVER return.

I'm regular party city, s shopper ...for almost 10 year..but Know I have to select another store maybe royal party because the people who's working in the party city store what is close to my house..they are really rude ..manager, cashier, everybody so nasty.. Specially when they have to close ..party city close 8:30pm but iIf I'm going 7:30pm they start to push and push people to finish shopper...it no customer service in the store...One day customer call the manager and when she come the manager start talking no nice to the customer that's unbelievable ..., I hope the corporation doing something about otherwise

At Everett mall party city .While I waiting the correct line to the cashier to buy the cards but the manager told me to go behind her from two more people. So that not right .if the manager not fix it or not so people will not come back.

I had a bad experience in the store party city, i always go to buy any ting i need for my kid party birthday and this time they screw it up, one of kid vomit accidentally and i told to a employee what append and i said sorry so they told me no problem they going to clean so then i heard they were fighting among themselves about who has to clean the floor, and when i was to pay my tree pinata the manager { laura} that is her name, she give a roll of paper and she told me really angry to go to clean the floor that is which to never makes a costumer to clean the floor for some reason, so my brother in law when to clean with out said nothing and my wife decide to not buy the pinata .
WE NEVER GOING BACK WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED!.

BOYCOTT party city NOW ! Every experience with this company has been crazy poor customer service. I don't even know the words to describe there outlook. My most recent experience was trying to return product to the store. They said they would not take it back at all no return no store credit, not that I wanted one, just outright not going to take it back. This is crazy... if I can't return something why would I ever shop there to start. BOYCOTT Party City NOW ! Officially starting my BOYCOTT campaign against Party City join me by blogging / facebooking / twittering / emailing / etc... anything you can do to effect the investors especially being they are in expansion mode. We definitely don't need any more very poor service companies. Shop locally at small business and support community instead of big store, BOYCOTT Party City.

they stole my stroller
After buying $120 of party supplies I forgot my $300 stoller in the store. The manager left a message that he had it. I called and I was informed that it would be held in the back room. I told them it would be a couple of weeks before I could get in to get it and they said no problem. When I got in a couple of weeks later the rep could not locate it. I spent a couple of weeks trying to contact the manager. I finally caught him there after he ignored my messages and he said he disposed of it.
I find this unethical after telling me they would keep it. I would imagine the manager or one of the employees are enjoying it right now. I am calling for a boycot of the store since they are not honest.

This "Man" was very rude to myself and has had problems with her because of her speech difficulty. I hope everyone will take this to light and stop shopping there. I am filing a complaint with the Colorado Division of Labor also. Dan, you can't fire someone just because you have a problem with the way someone speaks, And doesn't get along with your squeeze.

I feel I was sexually harassed by my District Manager in Lexington Kentucky . And she was sexiest towards me . I was taken to the office by here and she brought in another female . And proceeded to ask if I was talking about her breast . She proceeded to ask me this question several times . When I was able to leave the office the female I was in there with I told her I thought I felt sexually harassed . And over and over this same manager would tell the male staff members that they are not Martha Stewart enough to make the store pretty . Why is she still able to have her job . I complained to her Boss to no avail. I recently sent it up to the HR department to no avail . I guess as long as your store numbers are good . People do not matter . Party city says they have a no tolerance policy . How tolerable are they . I would been fired over and over again .

They fired me because I insisted on over time pay and wouldn't work lunches and breaks for free. HR looks out for the bottom line and spends money on lawyers so they can circumvent justice. Their goal is to increase profit and minimizing the cost of any laws they break doing it.
Don't feel bad. I was fired by Party City for being injured on the job, due to this companies negligence. I am now permanently disabled.
Party City discriminates against disabled people and they get away with it.
Party City will keep fighting through the courts, but I intend to fight this through to the bitter end. It has cost me my job, my home, my independence and my dignity. We'll see who ends up screwed in the end.

Oh and I complained to the manager about Peter, and told him how slowly he was working, and he explained to me that Peter had a developmental disability, he had down syndrome. I asked the manager why the was hired if he had down syndrome. He said that Peter was very high functioning but still struggles. I told him that they should not hire these people. Well from now on I will shop at the Party City in Sunnybrook because they don't hire potatoes and mongoloids. The manager basically stood up for this idiot who should be instituted or drowned at birth because there is no need for mongoloids and potatoes in our society.
