Parts Geek stop, don't order from parts geek until you read this

Listen, don't listen that is to your buddy that says ordering from this place is okay. Look do you really want to order from someone that doesn't even have a phone you can call if you have a problem. Don't buy into that submit a ticket they do just to keep from facing you over the phone. That is a one way street and you don't need that in your life if you need your car fixed fast. Go to you local parts supplier look them in their face and tell them what you want, and if it is not right you don't have to wait two week to get another part or pay shipping for it to go back. They got me for $80.00 bucks. kuto's to you parts geek. I will spend the rest of my time on this earth telling everyone just what a lousy parts company you are.

Parts Geek customer service

On 2/18/2016 Parts Geek sent the wrong vent shade kit. Order #15-[protected]. The front vent shades fit and were installed before I realized the rear vent shades were incorrect. I called customer service and asked if I could return the rear window shades. They said they had to have the entire kit. I explained to the rep that the front shades had been installed and I did not want to remove the part fearing damage to the window channel, not to mention a new $1400 paint job. He just kept repeating "we need the whole kit". I asked for his manager and he said he was a manager and again repeated "we need the whole kit" like a robot. He obviously had no personal skills and was a poor representative / manager (if he was a manager) for the company. I will not be buying parts from this company again and I will be sure to inform as many potential customers of this negative experience.

Parts Geek worst online business

This was the worse shopping experience I ever had! I ordered brake parts from PartsGeek online store. When I finally received my order, I found out that items were damaged. I have no idea how did they damaged things made of steel. So I went to their website and looked for a phone number, but could not find one. So I sent them a message and included some pictures of the product I received. In response, the company stated that when they shipped my order, nothing was damaged. This company is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed, they refused to refund me or send me an exchange. Just a waste of money.

Parts Geek unethical behavior

This is the worse online shopping experience I ever had. I ordered a tail light for my car, immediately upon delivery, I opened up the box and found it to be completely different than what I ordered. I looked for a phone number to call and report the error but there isn't one clearly marked on the website or email. There were instructions to submit a ticket, it was down all day. Finally, when it was up and running I submitted my complaint. I included a screenshot of the product I ordered from the website and a photo of what came in the box. Please note the box wasn't sealed properly nor included an invoice. I was worried the correct product fell out!
In response, the company stated they shipped the right part, and the picture wasn't a representation. I was to read the notes on the side. The pictured tail light was the outer portion of the tail light. They sent me the inner. This company is shady. There are a lot of fine prints. I have lost money because they shipped me the wrong part, and I am paying $20 to send it back. That makes $30 in total for shipping. The least they could have done was to pay for return shipping instead they are pretty defiant and feel that its ethical to falsely advertise to consumers. Attached are photos of the web page and what was actually shipped.
I am writing to prevent other people from doing business with PartsGeek, please support other businesses. This was a waste of time and money.

Parts Geek I was sent the wrong part "twice"

On 12-22-2015 order #15-[protected] total $67.61 drafted from my account. I ordered engine mount bushings part number W0133-1851998 (according to the on line catalog)2 at $29.33 each. I received 2 engine torque rod mounts at $47.33 each (according to the on line catalog #W0133-1614334) part number on package reads as 8671633 and states engine support bracket. I then filled out a support ticket on 12-31-2015 # [protected], and a response on January 2, 2016 at 10:24 am that I received the correct part. Another support ticket on 1-4-2016 Support Ticket# [protected]. The response to this one was "This ticket does not require a response in order for it to remain closed and that came in on 1-5-2016 at 9:23 am. Another ST# [protected] on 1-5-2016 and the response was my RMA number of [protected]. I sent the parts back on 1-7-2016 with insurance total $19.32 Another ST#[protected] on 1-6-16 the response same day, the response was it has been set up for return. In the mean time I thought maybe someone just put the wrong part in the box (mistakes happen) so I reordered on 1-4-16 and received the same engine torque rod mount on 1-9-16. Not the bushings. Somewhere there is a problem with part numbers/ catalog numbers. Now I have to fill out yet another ST(which is currently down) to send back parts I did not order. I would like to be refunded the postage for both packages sent back. I have the receipt for the first one and will keep the second one for proof as well. I have pictures printed out of the parts we ordered (on line catalog) and the parts we received. We will be trying elsewhere for these bushings. This system with the support ticket (ST) is frustrating. There are times that you need to talk to someone to clear up a simple problem. I am attaching my cell number if there are any questions. Thank you Lisa [protected]

Parts Geek car parts

When Parts Geek sent the wrong part. I had to pay the postage both ways, then a 15% restocking fee for their mistake. So my net refund on a $37.98 wrong part was about $7, and they get to sell the part again. So it's actually profitable for them to send wrong parts. The one I got came in a scuffed and obviously pre-opened box, so they may have "sold" it several times, collecting 15% each time. When I called customer service, the first operator disconnected me right after I said hello. Then, after waiting on hold again for a long time, the second operator referred to the wrong part on the invoice and blandly insisted that I ordered a part for a car I don't own. This company is, by far, the worst online business I have ever dealt with. Forget the good reviews--if they make a mistake (and from the fine print and their return policies, they must make a lot of mistakes), you will lose most of your money as I did. There are many good online parts stores--don't use this one.

Parts Geek customer service in general

Just want to echo many of the other complaints here. Over 20 calls to their phone number (which is NOT listed on their website ... wonder why) before I was finally able to reach a human without being on hold for 20+ minutes and then being cut off. They cancelled my order because I had moved to another state? WTF? They still have my money at this point, but if it is not refunded by tomorrow, I guarantee that an official complaint of fraud will be filed.

Parts Geek didn't ship all parts

Ordered a number of parts, sporadically arrived from various places, doesn't look they actually stock anything, just front for other warehouses. They shipped several boxes on a single tracking number, one box never arrived. They have no way to contact customer support, support emails go unanswered although they claim 24hr response. Other review sites recommend calling your credit card company and freeze the funds, they will either ignore the card company and you get a refund, or they will respond when they don't get paid.
NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY !

Parts Geek fraudulent business practices

I placed my first order from Partsgeek (brake calipers) early in the morning of the 17th of June. It is now after noon on the 19th and I am still waiting for them to ship. On the same day I placed an order for three other parts from other distributors and one is "out for deliveryctI expect it to be delivered at any moment and the others are in the supply chain. Twenty four hours after I placed this order I placed an order for rotors for the same vehicle from Rock Auto and those parts are currently on a truck winging it's way to me from Houston Texas. I considered canceling the order and placing it with Rock Auto (which is a few bucks cheaper) but their partsgeek web site prohibits canceling orders. There is no telephone number for customer support that can be easily located on the web site. The only number that I could find was on this site. I called my credit card company and requested to cancel the transaction since it has not yet shipped because I figured that they would be more likely to get through to them. After the first 5 minutes, they came back on and said that they were still trying to get through to them and so I told them that I would hold as long as it took. They finally came back on and had a representative on line but before I could talk to him through the credit card company he disconnected. The Credit Card representative put me on hold again about 45 minutes ago and I am currently sitting on hold awaiting some kind of response from parts geek. Hopefully I can cancel this transaction before it gets too far.

Parts Geek wrong part sent

In the fine print it states, "I got a wrong part, who pays for return shipping?
We do not offer return shipping reimbursement regardless of the party at fault. All returns are freight prepaid by the customer." When they send the wrong part, YOU pay for return shipping. Go elsewhere, as they repeatedly send the wrong part several times in a row.

Parts Geek shipment of wrong parts

I ordered two coil packs for my 2005 Mercedes SL65 AMG. One coil (UF-578) from American Standard was $844. The second coil pack (UF-579) was $811. I received one coil pack in the mail a few days later and it was a Temic coil pack and not the American Standard one. These coil packs are large objects, about 3 feet in length. A second box arrived in the mail a few days later. This was almost funny. The box was less than half the size of a shoe box and an unrecognizable item was in the box. The American Standard coil pack had an item number of UF-579. The small item they shipped was US-579. Shipping department at Parts Geek is pretty much incompetent. There is no phone number to call, you have to file a complaint through their website. When I attempted to use the website, the complaint filing system was out of service for technical reasons. Was not available for a few days. When I was able to file the complaint I did get a response with not much of an explanation, other than to send the items back. No apologies or anything. Additionally, they make you pay for the return shipment. In my case this was almost $56.00 out of my pocket for the incompetency of this company. I would never recommend this company, nor will I ever use them again. On top of all of that, they claim to take up to 30 days to refund your money. Worthless company!

I ordered a hydraulic brake booster and I did not receive the right part...I sent the part back and they charged
me a $19.53 restocking fee when they are the ones who sent the wrong part. Not to mention the countless hours I spent on hold when trying to order the part..my dad even called them to let them know they sent the wrong part in the beginning and they hung on him before he could find out how to send the part back...this is a horrible company...

Parts Geek wrong part twice

I ordered a window motor for the drivers side of my classic Buick Riviera and received the passenger side, the price $55.00. I sent back that part and that cost me $13.00. I ordered the left front again and guess what? I got the passenger side again, another $55.00. Not only that it cost me $95.00 to have the mechanic pull out the old motor and tell me it was the wrong motor again. I requested a support ticket and they say that I exceeded the # of support tickets that I am offered. I'm so p-o at this point. What am I to do?

I received the wrong part from partsgeek.com. They issued RMA #. I sent part back. They never refunded my money. I can only assume they do the RMA to get their parts back, and then keep your money.

Parts Geek - sent wrong item/ %15 re-stocking fee

I ordered a part from this company (A1 CARDONE 65-9527) and they sent (A1 CARDONE 65-9307) a totally different part. I returned it to them and payed $15.85 to send it back and once they received it they said they will reimburse me and that they will keep $41.18 (%15 of the cost of the part) What they do is, if they dont have the part requested they send you...

Parts Geek return policy

This company sucks, they do not pay to return defective parts. Why should you have to pay for a part and the shipping. Then once you get the part and see that the part is defective and can not be used. They want you to pay to ship the defective part back to them where they will charge you a 15% restocking fee. then you have to re order the part and pay for shipping a 3rd time. DO NOT DO Business with this company!

Parts Geek no customer service

You will want to review the returns policy for this company before you order. Prepare to pay the full cost of shipping back defective products - even when you have a warranty. Prepare to receive no acknowledgment of wrong doing, nor any credit, apology, on top of no phone number, and slow response time.

I would say though the product selection is good and cheap, I would avoid this site because you are on your own if you get a bad or defective product which just feels like a kick below the belt.

Parts Geek coupon for survey

I have ordered from partsgeek twice (both recently May-June 2014) Both parts were as ordered and worked and were as ordered and for my mazda. My problem is I then receive an email that says take a survey and get $5.00 coupon that will be emailed to to me. I received the email and the code that I use is only for $15 off order $300? I have contacted partsgeek several times and I only get this response. I have explained that the email comes straight from partsgeek.com ( no other and it is not an outside web company) This is obviously a canned email because I have attempted to attach the email they sent and no matter what this is the response. So if you take the survey the coupon is not for $5.00 off next order.

Partsgeek.com are thieves plain and simple. After looking around the web, it looks like partsgeek.com spend more time settling complaints than selling parts - I wish I would have done the research before I did business with shysters - anyway - looks like I'll have some fun today on all the blogs and working with commerce departments in several states. Someone needs to shut these guys down. I'm going to try and help get that done.

ordered parts for my daughters car and was sent an email that my order is on hold. I was asked to call the customer service number and after being on hold for ten minutes was told to leave a voicemail and the would return my call. Ive done this five times and no response. I cannot email becauce the email bounces as undeliverable. I will take steps to cancel the order through my bank. Would not recommend that anyone buy from here.

We ordered floormats for a RAV4 using the online tools to get the correct item. The mats that were delivered were much too large and do not fit the car. We have called multiple times only to leave messages as well as faxed and emailed with no contact. The website says contact them to get a label to ship the items back but they will not ever pick up the phone or respond.

Parts Geek shipment of wrong item

A week ago I ordered some tailgate hinge caps from PartsGeek for our Nissan Frontier. I figured this would be cheaper than getting the parts from the local Nissan dealer. More on that later. Anyways, I received the supposed parts 3 business days later and was happy about the turn around time. When I opened the box, I came to find out that they sent me the actual hinges instead of the caps. I tried to call them but the message said due to the large volume of calls, they could not take my message. So, I sent an email asking for a RMA number so I could return them. I got the mail 3 days later and it stated 3 very disturbing things: 1) I had 30 days to return the parts, not an issue really. 2) I would have to pay a 5.00 restocking fee, somewhat of an issue, but a work-around. 3) I would have to pay to ship the part back. Cheapest I found for something just over 1 pound was 12.95. So, the order total was roughly 23.00. After I pay the restocking fee PLUS the shipping, I would receive less than a 6.00 dollar refund. Talk about your classic scam that this company is running. Why should I have to pay to have the part shipped back and the restocking fee when this was caused by their representatives. This is their fault not mine. I WILL NOT use PartsGeek again in the future. Now, as for getting the parts I originally requested, I did go to our local Nissan dealer and got the parts for under 7.00. Almost 17 dollars saved if I would have went there first. My recommendations to others is exhaust all your other resources to find a part before resorting to PartsGeek.

Parts Geek wrong parts / lousyccustomer serv.

Ordered axles and tie rods ends for my 2001 Audi A6 Quattro on 2/21/14. They arrived 2/28/14. Appt. with mechanic was 3/6/14. He disassembled entire front end to replace old axles and tie rods ends to find right side axle we received form Parts Geek was wrong part. Here's where the fun starts. I called the pretend customer service number to be told repeatedly they were experiencing high volumes of calls and to refer to the web site for a ticket # and a CS rep would call in 24-48 hrs. Jokes on me. No call and still no live responses to my concerns. I placed 30 calls to this fake 800 # but was able to get the ticket # which is 220975not that it will do me any good. This company has a pretty bad reputation and consistantly sends wrong parts. They give you 30 days to make a return( 2 weeks already down the tube)and will not accept return without RMA# which I can't get since no one has bothered to call me, and to top that off I get to pay to send the wrong part back, plus I get to pay a 15% restocking fee! There's no way I would have even ordered from them if I'd had any idea they were going to rip me off. Obviously I'm not alone if you read their complaint history. I wish I had. To think I wasted all that time to research what I needed to find they will not make this right makes me sick. I work really hard for my money and am disgusted that companies like this get away with cheating consumers. I'm hoping enough people call this laughable company to the mat and put it out of business. It takes me 2 weeks to make $283.00 and to know I could have thrown it into Lake Michigan for more satisfaction than throwing it away to this cheating company that refuses to help consumers that experience problems with incorrect orders. I've resorted to calling my Credit Card Company to file a dispute and am holding a case number. They assured me they will do all in their power to get my money back. I can't ask for more. Thank you Master Card and your fine Customer Service Reps.

Parts Geek kept my $100.00 core

I purchased a powersteering pump from PARTSGEEK. The price was $89 for the pump and $100 for the core charge. (the core is refunded when you send in your old one) I sent in my old one, and they credited me with $100. GREAT!
NOT SO FAST! The REBUILT PUMP failed after about a month. PARTSGEEK says to send it back to them for analysis. So I sent them back the rebuilt pump. A month later, they send me a check for $89. WHAT ABOUT MY CORE MONEY? They (Chris) keeps responding to my emails with we've paid you for the core. But that was the credit for my rebuildable core i originally sent in. That 2nd pump I sent back has a core value also. I've spelled it out to Chris like I would a 6yr old. He/She is simply unteachable. And REFUSES to turn this over to a supervisor, or give me a phone number to call in an effort to straighten this out.
