Panera Bread / failure to honor "my panera offer"

United States Review updated:

As a long time Panera customer, I received an offer for "$ 1 off a sandwich or panini" with an expiration date of 5/17/19. When I went to redeem it for a breakfast sandwich, the two Panera cafes I visited said the offer doesn't apply to breakfast. If this is true, Panera needs to word their offers more precisely. This is not an appropriate way to treat any customer, much less one who has patronized Panera for many years. I suggest that Panera give me a reward of a free breakfast sandwich.

Maybe if you read the fine print instead of assuming. You’ll get nothing for free. Not reading the fine print entitled you to nothing

Why should you get anything of free. If you cannot afford a panera sandwich then make your own sandwiches or visit a soup kitchen. You are not entitled to get something free just because you cannot read the terms "Some restriction apply."

If it doesn't apply to breakfast, it doesn't apply to breakfast. Duh.

Wording costs money on ads and that's the reason why that guy who played Testerverti in Saved by the Bell had so many commercial gigs in the 80s and 90s. You should have asked beforehand. You can't just assume all sandwiches fall under the dollar off umbrella.

Really? Another illiterate tool who wants free food because, you guessed it: they don't bother to read the restrictions or heed the first store's policy?
