Oriental Hair Solutions A lot of hidden cost like GST and not included

I feel pressurised by the sales consultant to take up their hair treatment package without a student price and not doctor approved and they do not show their certificate to prove their competency. They always tell you the benefits of the treatment but is unable to provide any photo evidence and is not upfront about the cost. There should be more certificates displayed at the main entrance so that clients know the competency of the doctor in solving the patient's problem and not just based on hearsay.

Desired outcome: Refund SGD18 into OCBC FRANK ACCOUNT [protected] or DBS Current Multiplier account [protected] please

Oriental Hair Solutions Hard selling, poor customer service, promising what they can't deliver

I was a client of Oriental Hair Solutions for around three years. As a new client, they convinced me that I had a series scalp problem. Over the first two years I was manipulated into buying products and services that did nothing to address a non-existent scalp problem. Once I started pushing back on spending more money, the pressure placed on me was incredible. Having read through Singapore's Fair-Trading Act, I believe this business and its practices are in break of clauses 12 and 14 namely:
12. Taking advantage of a consumer by exerting undue pressure or undue influence on the consumer to enter into a transaction involving goods or services.
14. Making a representation that appears in an objective form such as an editorial documentary or scientific report when the representation is primarily made to sell goods or services unless the representation states that it is an advert or promotion.
In addition to the above, the level of customer service is atrocious. Specifically:
1. Staff stand around chatting while people are waiting. They have been occasions where I am the only person in the salon and I still need to wait.
2. Your assigned ‘consultant' only sees you when they want to sell you something.
3. Consultants and assistants are not well-trained and know more about sales techniques then your hair and scalp. The certificates that they hang in the consulting rooms are for a course that cost $300 online that literally anyone can do. It is worth noting that less than 20% (I'm guessing) of the consultants even meet this minimum requirement.
4. The hard selling is relentless, and, on some occasions, I've had to resort to arguing with the supervisor in front of other clients. In addition to the bullying tactics, other sales techniques include praying on people's vulnerabilities and using voodoo science to convince you that you will go bald if you do not buy their products and services. The bullying extends to blaming you when you question the effectiveness of the treatments. The hard selling is well coordinated with the assistant reporting an "issue" and then a consultant coming to check and demanding you go to a consulting room. On the occasions I have resisted going to a consulting room, my treatment has stopped, and they won't finish it until you go into the room. Usually your hair is wet so you can't just leave. Another technique is talking at you while you are attached to a machine. I have got up and left the consulting room in the middle of a hard sell so from then on they would only talk to me when I'm attached to a machine and cannot escape. One occasion my consultant threw a tantrum when I didn't buy.
5. The pricing is inconsistent and opaque. Nothing has a set price and often depends on how hard you resist. I have never paid the same amount twice. One technique they us is to come back and ask for more money because ‘the lab' is insisting that you buy 20 treatments rather than the 10 you originally singed up for. There is no price list and it is often unclear as to what you have bought.
6. The contents of the herbal treatments are opaque. I have been given bottles of essence to use at home that have no labels, so I have no idea what is in them.

Oriental Hair Solutions terrible service

This happened on 26th Aug 2019. My mother went to the outlet at Jean Yip Loft (Outram Park) for her hair treatment.

She have been a long time patron for several years. Every time she went for her treatment, there is this Malaysian plump hairstylist whom in her mid-thirties. She have a very terrible skill in cutting hair and often wants it by her way. Many time my mum went, it was this hairstylist who cut her hair and often look horrendous after the haircut.

On one occasion that hairstylist was on leave and another pregnant lady, Mandy took over. She was very reluctant to cut for my mother. The whole event, she was showing attitude face.

On her last visit instead of the usual flow, one of the staff Pinky, blow dry the hair and and inform the two hairstylists was on leave. She claims no one else knows how to cut hair. My mother pointed there this pregnant lady whom cut her hair previously.

This terrible attitude Mandy showed up and slammed her stuff. She was pulling her hideous face again and reluctantly cut for my mum. During the service, my mum keep thanking her cause she saw her terrible her expression but Mandy's bloody face was stoned and shows no appreciation.

Another staff saw this and try to coax my mother, Mandy is currently pregnant, thus unable to stand long. Regardless her condition, this is not the correct customer service and attitude.

Please note that, we are the customer who pays for the service, not the other way round. I hope the management look into this matter and penalize her in her appraisal. Otherwise, have her replaced as she does not possess the correct working attitude. Her professionalism reflects the company's reputation.

Oriental Hair Solutions jeanyip group's personal big fights with a diligent worker charlotte

Hi all,
I received useful information that Jeanyip Group's heiress Cheryl Wee Xin Hui became a famous actress because her ducking mother Jeanyip paid a large amount of money to Mediacorp Of Singapore, to make Cheryl Wee Xin Hui be the main casting role for one movie. Next, Jeanyip 'S relative, Dennise Wee Group (one of the property companies) was convicted of property investment fraud in 2017. Third, Jeanyip Group was fined at least three times of $10,000 by the PDPA of Singapore due to number of customers reported them for hard selling phone calls or smses. Fourth, their biggest enemy Charlotte the customer service officer at both Jeanyip and Cheryl W, recorded the fact of how Jeanyip products are true cheap products but purposely raised the prices higher because they needed money. Several residents received the copies in CD and the Jeanyip still Yayapapaya denying knowing who the Charlotte.. All the Jeanyip staff"s contact details were also found in the CD formats!
Fifth, do you know Jeanyip owns banks a lot of money because of Cheryl Wee's so called lavished wedding and acting roles, paid money to shut the Singapore press holdings and social medias to stop publishing their scandals, paid fines to pdpa and their actions of cheating skillsfuture credits (2017, few months before Cheryl Wee 'S wedding), Dennis Wee Group's cases, etc? Because of banks issues, all their outlets are getting smaller and smaller and their staff start to do hard selling, fight here and there with all customers, etc.
Sixth, a customer was compensated by Jeanyip Group for burning off her hair in their Ngeeann City hair salon..
Please inform all of your angry family or friends that, Jeanyip will always pay to the media not to publish about their scandals, you Can do this to ensure they see you in courts, for examples, you publish your dispute cases on all newspapers because singapore press holdings will never stop anyone who wants to publish as they need to earn money from public... Theb jeanyip group got no choice but to turn up in courts of singapore, and start begging you to stop publishing your disputes by requesting to know your prices.
How I know they will start begging in courts?
I am the victim whose hair got burnt by their stupid jeanyip staff located in ngeeann city outlet!
The charlotte who posted online about divulging how jeanyip grouo has such dirty politic as well as their products are of cheapsckate quality just to earn commissions!
The charlotte's video also shows that jeanyip grouo fight fire with fire by videoing one another! How stupid acts done to damage their own jeanyip group! Hahahaha!

I tried to post on facebook but I think they blocked or somethings. So I decide to post here.

My aunty went to one of the oriental outlet and join their roadshow promotions. Somwwhere in the early january 2018. Alvin the saleman sold the voucher to her and told her its just a hair wash with hair check. So she went since its only $10.

Then the story of the hair begin.
At first she was told her hair pore is clogged by oil so need to do cleansing trt if not her hair will drop until she bald, so she went for it in afraiding herself become bald, she's 60 and love to take photo travelling so she definitely dont want to be bald what. So the first package is 20 treatment for $1, 070, she go every week. But slowly she went only once in every 2~3 weeks because she think the treatment finishing very fast and she's only a cleaner and dont earn alot! But on one fine dsay, she went for treatment ad usual, but her consultant told her she need another package for her hair to grow. She was shocked, she thought after cleansing the hair woll grow? But the consultant say no, need their treatment. If not the pore empty after cleansing you will still be botak. So she sign again 30 treatment for $4, 160.16! She thought this is the end but no! Just because this time she use the america express card from her son, the consultant told her that if she sign another package now will have extra discount! Because its amex promotion this month. Wow so conincidence ah! Then they come out with what collagen treatment saying my aunty scalp lack of collagen so hair cannot stay. Then they swipe another 23 treatment for $2, 847.16. And not fogetting they got package for product also! And its ridiculously expensive! $2, 450! My aunty is too soft hearted and trust them if its me I will definitely ask them stfu. Then its still not over! My aunty was scared somwhow by their saletalk! So she stop going for a few month. Then when she go back, after repeatingly recieve call from them. They come out with new problem again. Saying her hair rooot got problem and need do root oil and detox for scalp due to the oil stay for too long on the scalp. But my aunty told them she's very poor already. So they keep telling her if you dont do your other treamtent cannot start if not also wont have effect on it and no much result. My aunty was frighten by their word and afraid she will waste her previous treatment so she only go for it again, 10 treatment $1, 300 & 20 treatment for $1, 070. But after going for nearly a year! Her hair doesnt look much different still.

So people this is how a hair care do business?
My aunty is just a cleaner, I know its her own will to sign no one force her with a gun but to the consultant and comapny! Is this how you all do sale? Keep on scaring ppl? Threatening ppl? Shame on you. Now my aunty is no long going as she feel so disappointed with everything. So ppl stop calling her to go back. We just dont wish to continue ok.

Went to Oriental Hair Solutions from the promotion of $18 for scalp treatment. KNowing that they have hair color treatment, I need to do as well so this sales person Ann asked me to go to the small office room to sign up for a package of $800 after paying $18. After telling me the different packages by writing down on the paper between Hair Color + Scalp Treatment and Hair Color + Scalp Treatment + Hair/mask then I chose the $800 because it made more sense. After the scalp treatment and washing my hair, she said my hair dropped a lot and I need Hair Growth and Hair Stability products and asked me to go to the small room again. And she calculated it will come to $2, 500. I refused to take that package. So she bargained and said what about $1, 800? Top up $1000 from the $800 I have paid.

Be careful guys! This Oriental Hair Solutions is out to take money from customers! This is only my first time going there! I have not even known whether services are working to help with scalp.

Be careful ... OHS is out to hard sell in a soft way by telling you that your scalp is oily and hair drops is severe!

Oriental Hair Solutions service

I was called by Jean Yin and offered a free hair treatment at Oriental Hair solutions. The lady who attended to me, did not speak proper english. She also made racist remarks, saying things like, oh you are indian so you use coconut oil which is not good. For the record, I DO NOT use coconut oil in my hair. She then went on to explain that I have oily and dry scalp. I clarified and asked her how I can have both, oily AND dry scalp at the same time. She then gave me a condescending look and said oily is due to oil glands ans dry is due to lack of moisture. After I got my hair washed, she offerred my a package which I declined. I was only there for the treatment which THEY had called me for. When she couldn't convince me. my hair got a quick but horrible blow dry, a comment about how Indians ALL have curly hair and then I was told I can leave. Should change the name to CHINESE hair solutions. If you are going to be racist, then do NOT call people to come to your place. There is no need to be condescending. Horrible experience. I will never sign up with a place that is so racist and pigeon holes people.

Oriental Hair Solutions bad experience for first trial

Absolutely disgust experience.

Please be patient and read all of this email as management need to know what has actually happened for me in Oriental Hair Solutions. Maybe the management could now be understand why the sales in this branch has been so poor all the time.

I was in the branch in city square, Johor. I rang there at 4/7/17 to make an appointment for 9/7/17 (10.30am). However when I reached there this morning, the Chinese lady said that they have NO record about my appointment. I have a proof showed that I did ring there and make the appointment. Please see the attached picture.

The Chinese lady was a bit chubby, in a yellow short hair and wears a spectacle. She talked with me in an absolutely rude way. She even keep on nagging about me that I didn't make any appointment before I came even though I have been repeating several time that I actually did. Not only this, she was mocking me for only try the cheap first trial and because of this, I won't be able to experience the true service that I deserved as other customers. Is this the attitude of your employees should be possessed ?

During the treatment time, this Chinese lady keeps on chatting with her beloved friends in an extremely loud voice. She has totally ignored me and other customers who were also doing the treatment there.

After I have done the treatment, she didn't even give me a cup of water and instead of asking me to leave immediately. SO RUDE ! Is that the way you guys training your staffs ?

I am absolutely disappointed with Oriental Hair Solutions. I will never recommend any of my friends or family to visit it ever. Disgusting.
