They provided me with 3 different gangs of plastered who all did not want to work because the price agreed with Optimum was not passed down to the tradesmen and the company kept 35% fee for passing the work to un qualified tradesmen. The panel of tradesmen that this company use are Eastern European small gangs who can not protect themselves and can. It challenge this company.
Will never use this one man band operation who charge extortionate fees on the back of desperate tradesmen.
They don't vet the tradesmen and find them on gumtree.
Unbelievable. I paid a 1500 pounds deposit for a 4000 pounds work (stupid me). Really polite, they came to my house on the same day I asked for a quote. A middle eastern gang came, destroyed my house and got a phone call at 6 in the morning the day after with the builder saying he is not going to come cause he is not being paid. Phoned Ian shouting out on the top of my voice and came with the gang two hours later. Two days fine, and it happened again. Being harassed by the workers for me to go harassing Ian? What the hell?
I feel like some of the comments are biased towards middle easter gangs. Like everywhere else, the quality of the work can be good or bad. In my case, there part of the work that was done was ok. This company definitely takes advantage of immigrants who get a little portion of the money you pay. Avoid.
So true, this company are a bunch of parasites who prey on vulnerable workmen and then charge an extortionate fee from the fee agreed by the client for a second ckasd service. This comoany blatently lie about their vetting procedure on there workmen. They are just a middleman charging crazy fees for an unprofessional service. Don't use them.
Yasser and Ian who run this company are a pair of lying, cheating crooks. I am renovating a whole house and needed some painters. Found these guys on gumtree. When you call them they are very polite and promise you a top quality job with tradesmen who have "at least 15 years experience and professional qualifications". The warning signs are there though. I stupidly paid a deposit for the work. DO NOT DO THIS!. The first painter they sent round coudln't speak English, so Im assuming his qualifications were from another country. He left after three days and no work, saying my walls were damp. The next guy these guys sent me was meant to meet me at the house one evening. When I arrived, he was there with three other lads, two of whom were less than 20 years old (they must have started easly to get their 15 years experience) They had already given the all the walls one lick of paint, and in the main living/dining area had put two coats on in one day! No preparation work done, no sanding/filling of walls or ceilings. I asked them to leave and not come back and asked for a refund of my deposit. Both Ian and Yasser constantly fobbed me off, and eventually told me that they had used my deposit to pay the clowns that came around £150 each per day! These guys havent got a clue what they are doing, and will rip you off. Save your money and find a personal recommendation
You are absolutely right, I have also had the same experience. Ian sent me a bunch of Romanians who had no tools. They could not lasted and made a mess. When I demanded my deposit back they would not answer my calls. They found those Romanians on gumtree.. yet they promote that all their tradesmen are 15 years in the trade with all qualifications .
I found myself on the same situation. What did you do with this? I called CTSI but not reply.
