We don't know much about how Opodo handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Opodo and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Opodo wrong confirmation of booking which gives a complete different info of what was ordered

I ordered 5 Tickets from Tel Aviv To Venice on may 17 at the price of 354... Euro per person and added 3 suitcases at each one 48.5 Euro, and 5 insurances at 13.5 Euro, all with kosher meals.When receiving the confirmation and details of the order it appeared that I paid 1975 Euro and not mentioning that I ordered special meals, and more important that I did not order any suitcases at all.
today I talked with customer service and explained what happened, and after having cheked He answers me that the meals are now ok, but I did not order any suitcase. Furthermore he says that my insurance for 5 people is 135 Euro, which is not true.When I make the addition of my different order, I reach approximately 1800 Euro, and when asking him were the difference comes from he does not answer me.Ask mere is my proof, so I told him that as soon that I finished my booking it all disappears and cannot show him anything, but he can check.the answer was, send a complaint and the staff will answer you

Opodo opodo

I booked a flight for my sister, Judith Emafa Afutu with reference number [protected] to travel from Hamburg to Stansted London on the 18th May 2019 with Ryan Air 18:00. She got the airport and has been charged £55 for check in. Her boarding passes has already sent to me through my email [protected]@yahoo.com and she showed to them but was told to pay another money of £55.
I need the refund immediately because I've paid and your company sent me boarding passes. Otherwise I'll sue your company. Thanks

Opodo flight booking

Tickets booked 24th Jan 2019

We have booked 29 passengers with 7 different PNRs, 5 from London to Madina and 2 from Paris to Madina. All of them going out on the same flights and retuning on the same flights. These are following PNR numbers:

NND56B
NN3L93
NM6ZDS
NOJUL7
NP8CLM
NQJGLV
QO55FR

These 7 PNR's are all one family travelling together on the same flights going out and coming back. For some reason the following PNR NND56B was put on different flights on return. We did not notice this until the airline had changed the schedule from the 24/10/2019 from Amman to Madina. After that we got in touch with Opodo/eDreams on 13th April 2019 after receieving this email from the airline. We asked Opodo how can they help us to keep us on the same flights. After 13 telephone calls made by myself, each call lasting between 30mins and 1hr 24mins to the call centre in India, i had managed to transfer everybody to the flight on the 25/10/2019 from London and from Paris with a shorter connection from Amman to Madina.
After sacrificing one nights stay in Madina and also the friday Jummah prayers, i have lost out 1 nights hotels costs for all 29 passengers.

Somebody made the mistake on the return flights for PNR NND56B and is not willing to take the responsibility.

All that i have been asking for is to put these 5 passengers on the same flight as the rest of the family and accept the error made on their part. I have been told by the Opodo operators their is a difference in the fare, first it was £725, however that price has kept on increasing to £1525 and now they are asking for £1750, yet this error was made by the person who issued the tickets.

I have already lost out on the accomodation, the 1 nights stay and the friday jummah prayers and they are still insisting for me to pay for their error. I have checked online, you can purchase brand new tickets for 5 passengers on a direct Saudi airlines one way return flight for £1009 and approx. £1300 on Jordanian airlines.

For them to be requesting any money at all is unacceptable, let alone a fee which is higher than any airline is charging for a new return ticket.

I still make a humble request to put these 5 passengers on the same return flight: Jeddah RJ705 03/11/2019 at 06:30hrs and RJ111 03/11/2019 at 11:20hrs with all the other passengers. In total I have 45 family members travelling on these flights together.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible with my problem resolved and also to relieve the stress from my mind as currently the family members are split up and it is my responsibility to have this error corrected.

Opodo flights

6 months ago (10/11/2018) my father passed away. Before he passed away he had booked a flight to visit me in Adelaide, Australia on 18th December and returning on 18th Janurary. After my father died my aunt contacted Opodo on 15th November 2018 to advise them of this. They advised her that a refund would be no problem and that all they required was a copy of the Death certificate, which was emailed to them (as requested) on 15th November. A few weeks later I called to confirm they had received it, which they said they had. They said it would take up to 3 months to refund and confirmed my bank account details, to which they were going to deposit the money into. 3 months went by and I didn't receive the refund. I called up again and they said they hadn't received the death certificate, even though they had confirmed they had it in December. I sent the death certificate again on 7th April. They said they would process the refund and it would only take a matter of days this time due to the mix up before. I have called probably 4 or 5 times since then, each time they say they haven't received the death certificate and hadn't processed the refund yet. On 8th May I demanded to talk to a manager and a team leader said they would contact the airlines to process the refund but this time they advised it would only be to my father's credit card, which had since been closed but that he would double check and get back to me via email, which he didn't. This was the first time that this was ever communicated to me. I called again today (11th May) they confired that Emirates had confirmed the refund would be made to the card details used to purchase the flight. I want to make it clear that each time I called I was on hold for at least 45 minutes to an hour. I have to call from my mobile phone in Australia. The stress of this is causing emotional anguish and chronic headaches. I need this to be resolved asap.

Opodo flight

Hi.i booked my flight to london with you guys.but i had a number of problems with it.first you booked me two separate tickets.one to paris and one from paris to london.now i had to pay twice for my luggage to be checked in.please find attached all the receipts.and my main problem was that in paris i had to buy another ticket.because when i was payin for my luggage, my credit card was denied and my ticket cancelled right in front of me.the agent explained to me that because my ticket was paid from another credit card.i told him it was the travel agency who booked and paid my ticket.so i was stuck there about to miss mu flight.and i paid on the spot a new ticket from paris to london €285.plus my luggage.i am writing to claim back my ticket that i bought vecause obviously it was not my fault.and the cost of my luggage.im sending you all the receipts so you can see..and i had very disappointing journey because of your double booking..and to last my you booked me from paris to london in SPANISH!. I had to find a translator to explain what that email booking was.
I am not very with this experience at all.

Opodo flights booked

I booked last minute flights for my father in law to go to Tonga for a funeral with only 2 days notice on sky scanner through opodo. Once I did the booking at 8:15pm on Tuesday night it said it was still processing. We then receiver an email at 2AM IN THE MORNING (6hours later) Whilst we were sleep informing us that there was an extra charge of $20. I ran as soon as I woke up at 6am on the Wednesday morning and asked the man who I spoke with to charge the extra $20 and process it . He told me he had escalated if and the extra $20 would be charged but it would be another 5hours before we got confirmation! But I made sure with him that we would still have this flight and that it was confirmed. He assured me that everything was fine and we wouldn't lose the booking. I felt uncomfortable that I had to wait another 5 hours and no payment had been taken so I call back at 9am and spoke with someone else and asked him to charge the money immediately. He said he would talk with his team. After a couple of minutes he came back and told me that the flights were no longer available and I would have to go and find myself new tickets. I was extremely disappointed in this result as I was promised we would not lose our booking. I then had to find with 1 days notice new flights through another company and spend another $300 on top of what I originally wanted to pay. I would not ever recommend opodo. You dis not offer to help me find new flights at the same price. Your business is disgusting!

Opodo flight refunds

I had 2 flights booked for Thailand via Dubai in November but tragically my husband Mr James Holmes passed away on 05/03/19 since then I have been trying to arrange refund for these 2 flights. I have made numerous phone calls which you will have recorded and I have names and dates for the people that I have been speaking with and also I have emails. When I eventually got through to someone who actually knew what they were doing, I explained to them that the account that the flights were paid from was my husbands and that is now closed and I gave them the details of the new account that the refunds had to be paid into. 3 times I checked with Opodo via phone call and also via email that they had the correct numbers for the account to which the refund needed to be paid into and each time I was assured that this is all documented and the money will definately be paid into this account. I have now just learned that your company has paid one of the refunds back to my husbands closed account.
This is totally unacceptable on top of the fact that I have lost my husband and suffered so much heartache I have had to deal with a company that treats their clients shocking. This is the error of Opodo and Opodo should be the ones refunding me this money so it is up to them to sort out this error, I should not have to be trying to now get in touch with my husbands closed account to try and retrieve my money back. I have had enough stress from your company on top of the stress that I have also been suffering after losing my husband. I have never in my life dealt with such shocking company and if this is the way you treat all of your clients I do not know how Opodo is still in business. Opodo should be repaying me this refund and they should be the ones to sort it out with my husbands closed account not me it was not my mistake. Everything is on my file and the calls are also recorded, there is absolutely no excuse for this to have happened and it should now be put right by Opodo. This company is a disgrace.

Opodo refund of air tickets

Hi, I booked tickets for two persons through opodo. The tickets were cancelled by the airlines and I was told that the travel agency will be assisting on the refund. But have not received any update till now.

Opodo flight and hotel booked with you

Booking reference number:[protected].
I booked yesterday at 1.30 pm flights and hotel, all agreed, including my ATOL certificate. Today at 9.20 am i was informed that the flights were no longer available and that you could refund my flights but not my hotel reservation, the alternative airport and times were not an option. I need a full refund of everything as this is not a package i was sold. I have spoken to Citizens Advice who have suggested that i speak with you in the first instance to enable you to rectify the situation. Opodo flight refund

Booked 2 flights to and from Rome on 9th Feb with Opodo ref [protected]

blue air UEBPQH out LPL - FCO
Blue Air Q4ji3S back FCO - LPL

13.2 I received an email from blue air that stated the flights/route was cancelled the route and told me to claim a refund.

I phoned blue air three times and eventually they refunded Travel Fusion (Agent) for both flights, after they had only refunded one way
27.2 they confirmed the refund to Travel Fusion on Q4J13S
18.3 they confirmed the refund on UEBPQH

4.3 called travel fusion who said they had refunded Opodo £111.78

1.4 emailed Opodo... no reply
8.4 phoned Opodo but they had not received the refunds

I then called Travel Fusion again who confirmed the above refunds

10.4 phoned Opodo again (45mins) who said the money would be refunded to me. BUT that I would only receive £202 not the £207.84 I had paid for the flights. I agrued and was eventually told this would be paid to me in the next 7 days.

1.5 still no payment from Opodo... phoned Opodo again and was told there had been an issue at their end and that I should reveive £202 in the next 72hours. Again I had to argue for the full amount.

I am disgusted that due to no fault of my own, (airline cancelled the flights) that I am still waiting for this money to be refunded. I also lost the car park booking fee of £26.99 due to the cancellation and 50% of dog kennel booking of £20. I then had to book flights later in the month to acheive the business meeting I was due to do on 6th March.

I would like to claim for all the phone calls, car park fees and kennel fees on top of my time and effort... extra £100 to cover these issues.

Opodo refund ot the deposit oft € 400, which I had to leave because I couldn't shwo my "versicherungsschein"

As the attached report of the accident from 21st of April shows, my car was hit by a motorcycle at the left side at the back when I had to stop at the entrance to a roundabout.
The driver of the motorcycle acknowledged that the accident was his fault. I am the innocent party in this accident, so I believe that no costs should arise for the insurance company.
I kindly request the swift refund of the amount of 400 Euro I was deducted by the car rental company.

Opodo cancelled flights - no refund offered

Opodo UK and Avianca Brasil messed up with my family's holiday!
Cancelled my internal flights in Brazil and I just found out because I decided to check! Imagine if I decided to only enjoy my holiday and didn't bother checking? Now I'm stranded in land and without a flight to Rio! When asked, they told me I could fly 24hrs earlier, but I would need to pay for my own hotel and expenses once in Rio.
Not happy at all! With a pregnant wife and two small kids, waiting 12hrs in an airport for our flights back to the UK.
All I asked for was for the refund for the cancelled flights so I could book with someone else. But it's not as easy as I would expect, Avianca told me to contact the travel agent in England ( Opodo ), and ask them to issue the cancellation, but Opodo told me they can't issue me the refund and I was obligated to accept the 24hrs change, which i refused, I tried to talk to the manager and was told I couldn't, I had to call Opodo twice from Brazil, using my skype credits, and both times, I had to wait 40 minutes to speak to a human. So Opodo cancelled my booking and haven't issued any refund or compensation?!
I have also paid an extra fee to Opodo, just in case I had to cancel my trip! But can't be used!
Any lawyer?

Opodo invoice request not met x3

I have been requesting an Invoice for flights paid (more than two weeks ago) from Opodo since Tuesday 09 April 2019. On all three occasions I am informed that it has been requested and that I should wait another 24 hours. Still nothing. I also find it unethical that flights can be cancelled by the airline operator (without reason) and that the client must then REQUEST a refund of the money paid from the airline operator...

Opodo flight change and not notified

I arrived at the airport for my flight. The airline informed me they had changed my flights and I had missed it. I log into Opodo and the original flights are still there even though they are wrong. I was not notified of the flight changes and they are still wrong when I log in. I managed to sort alternative flights with the airline but had had to stay overnight in Houston and pay for a hotel (and lost a day of my holiday). When I rung opodo they said they could not help at the time but advised me to fill out a complaint form because they understood the situation, they were very apologetic.
Opodo is still showing me the wrong flights even when I log in now and they did not inform me of the changes. The airline said Opodo should have informed me and also should pay for the lost day of holiday and overnight stay in Houston.

Opodo travel insurance claim

my complaint is not with Ryan Air

Its with Opodo

I called your Opodo call centre on three different occasions -twice before the flight and once after the travel dates and was given the wrong advice and information...
and despite being put on hold for what seems hours I got nowhere

1... So the call was to the first representative told me I could not get any compensation for cancelled my booking
[protected] despite I took out the OPODO Travel insurance which clearly states
..charges for cancellation of travel prior to commencement up to 500 euros

So why was it not possible to get a refund ... what was I paying for then?

This is very misleading and misrepresented sold insurance and I am taking legal advice on this

So how did I stand to cancel this booking and gain some sort of refund ?

Because I was told I was getting no refund it seemed pointless to call Ryan Air to cancel
and I did not go on the flights due to illness

2) 2nd call to your Opodo call centre

Concerned the hotel would charge me a cancellation fee I called Opodo
to cancel the hotel and was told to call Booking.com but
Booking . com said the reference I had been given was incorrect and to contact the hotel
The Hotel told me to contact Expedia who told me to ring Opodo as they are the
CONTACT PROVIDER of the booking
Again just went round in circles
and it was therefore virtually impossible to cancel the hotel booking
The hotel were most helpful but could do nothing but assured me there would be no further charge as it was pre paid by an affiliate company

WHAT A DISASTER ...

3) 3rd call to the Opodo call centre

After taking legal advice and reading carefully the travel insurance policy taken out with Opodo

I decided to call yet again to clarify the refund status
This time was given different advice ..
Your representative said of course I could get a refund as I had taken out the insurance

BUT BY THEN IT WAS TOO LATE as I was unable to cancel the hotel despite previously and before the 13th March being on the phone all morning
being referred to 4 companies to cancel
...and I never called Ryan air as your 1st call centre representative
told me no refund

So I ask you know as a loyal customer of yours for many years why was this handled so badly and what was the real truth with the refund status on the travel insurance I took out with you in good faith stating on the terms and conditions I was clearly covered for cancellation

FINALLY
What are you intending to do to compensate me for this complete mess up as its too late now to go to the travel insurance company as neither flight or hotel was cancelled due to the advice I was given from your call centre!

Its been a dreadful experience and all the years Ive used your company never experienced anything like this

Opodo cancelled flights refunding

I booked a flight on the 4/2/19 and then cancelled it well within the times offered for a cancellation and full refund. I got the email from you saying it had been cancelled and a full refund will be made ASAP. Just checking through my card statements a month later... I can see the money has gone out... but not come back in.
The cancellation request number was [protected]. Passengers name was Paul larsen... flight from london to Antigua.
Can you please confirm that it has been refunded.

Opodo refund

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
I have tried to settle this matter by phone but have not been successful,
therefore I am contacting you be email (on your premium service number).

We had to cancel the flight booked for Hannelore Zach (address above)
Munich-Montreal-Munich from 28 May to 8 June 2019 Air Canada/Lufthansa. Payment to you
was 416, 72 Euro.

Opodo booking number [protected].We also booked your Opodo Premium Service.

I was told on the phone that the flight charge of 48 euros could not be reimbursed
but that taxes etc. amounting to more than 350 euros would be resent to our
mastercard. In addition we also booked luggage and paid 2x50 euros.

In your message which I received you said that 129 euros were paid on 15 December
into our account, which was the case but this is a much lower sum than the one
we should have received.

Please look into this matter and I trust that you will settle it satisfactorily, especially
as I have often booked my flights with you.

Opodo charged double price for tickets on two occasions

On 23rd Sept 2018 bought tickets ref number [protected] for 604.58 at 11:27
On 11th Dec 2018 bought tickets ref number [protected] for 654.54 at 13:41
On both occasions charged double price
On first occasion could not access my money in the bank and could not travel and take child to school.
Phoned my bank Nationwide. They said they contacted Opodo to return my funds and unblocked my account.

On second occasion could not take out money again for the same reason. Needed to take child to school in the cab.
Could not have my debit card to work as Oyster as account blocked. Called my bank. They said they emailed you as we spoke.
Called Opodo gave details still unable to go to work said to your customer service person to note down my complaint and pass it on.
Opened the case through resolver on 24 the December RES 6188813
Could not attend Christmas dinner with work

Opodo booking flights

Absolutely the pits. I have just booked a return flight and had a query about that flight, their website provides at least 2 contact phone numbers and 2 email addresses, none of which are valid/in use. INCREDIBLY frustrating. I have literally spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to check in. Thank god for the customer service at Fly Be, all clarified and made clear within a few minutes.

Opodo they misinform and rob you! never again!

Worse experience ever. Never again. Tried booking flights online. System had problems. Call the operator. She helped me buying the flights but "forgot" to tell me they bloody take almost 30% of fee for doing nothing. When I try call them to cancel and rebook on airline directly, as it was only after 2 hours, they told me it was no possible with them but to call the company directly (in colombia) which refuses to cancel because is a basic fare, although opodo told me I was entitled to within the 24hours bracket. Atm o answer from complaint and been robbed of 20£ for nothing!
