Okra & Molly Delivery and customer service

Tldr: the screenshot of my chat with the business shows that they aren’t just unprofessional they are rude cyber bullies who extort money.

I ordered 2 cakes via their website as a gift on 8th June. Placed the order on Wednesday and opted for 3 day delivery as the dogs’ birthday was on Sunday. The order total was $40 and $12.63 for shipping. The next day, they contact the person for whom the gift was a surprise (as I’d provided her number as part of the delivery address, instead of reaching me on the contact I provided. They told her to pay an extra $17 else the cake won’t reach before Monday (5 days from order date), which my friend paid. They have her a 2 minute “cutoff” to pay, and she did. They still told her they won’t be delivering by Monday after taking the money! Then my friend reached out to me, and I mailed them. They replied with a massive rant about running to the post office and what not?! Screenshots attached. I’m like, you chose to have a delivery business, you accepted the order, you offer 3 day delivery so why are you ranting to a customer about how difficult it is? Then they told me to pay up more $29 or $39 for overnight, saying the more expensive one is more reliable. So I had to ask if it’ll definitely reach me, because at this point I was paying more for shipping than the actual product. They said they do not guarantee it and since it’s a Saturday it’s even riskier. It was a huge mess by now and I asked them to just cancel it and refund. They said they won’t refund a single cent for the cakes (plus another rant about how hard they worked, not to mention the trouble I’VE been giving them). They claimed I did not take the chance they gave us (lol?) to ship on Friday, despite my friend paying them in literally 2 mins as per their demand. So I thought why not just give it a shot and pay more instead of losing my $40. I reached out on the website chat offering to pay the $39. They said they need to check as the cake might have been fed to their chickens (I’m seriously laughing now). Then they say it’s not yet in their mouths, but product quality much? I STILL said okay I’ll take the cakes. And this time they said give us $52. I asked them how is it that the delivery fee just keeps going up and up with every message. And on top of that they didn’t refund the money they took from my friend either. And that’s when they sent an extra rude reply saying they’re fed up with me etc etc, which shocked me. How can anyone speak to someone in such an abominable way, let alone to a customer? This was the final nail in the coffin. I decided to make peace with losing my money, but I refuse to let a stranger on the internet bully me and verbally abuse me, when all I did was support their business and kept accommodating their outrageous demands. This is definitely fraud, where you can’t meet your delivery deadline and harass the customer for it and extort outrageous amounts of money from them, and spew whatever rude things come into your head. Not just a terrible business. But terrible people.

Desired outcome: Would want a refund of my money since I never got the product and was harassed by them as well

Okra & Molly Horribly disappointed

I ordered this I believe the date was novembre 2nd because the website states to order in advance in which we did. I received a message yesterday November 20th stating that I will not be getting my order and it would come November 21st the same day that it is my dogs birthday in which is ridiculous why would you confirm us if we will not be receiving our order that we purchased in advance on the date stating we would be receiving and what do we do if the driver does not make it by today on my dogs birthday. This is the 2nd time I order from you and sadly might be my last order. My dogs day is ruined because now we have to hope these people make it if they make it sadly all these delivery services have been unreliable lately. Thank you this has truly been an experience

Its is now 4:30pm in NY and still nothing and it states 9pm cut off time, all our plans are ruined.
This is extremely disappointing, thank you so much.

Okra & Molly Bad customer service

* False info on the website with "The same day delivery" page but actually has nothing to do with the same day delivery;
* It seems big issue with delivery on time to the dog's birthday
* Rude customer service, definitely they don't do this because they love your dogs
* As soon as I found out that they can't deliver it on time to my dog's BD party, I requested to cancel my order (it is within 1 hour after I put the order), I have been requested to pay a $4 cancelation fee and the transactions fees won't be returned. I called my bank, they tell me there is no transaction fees involved and a cancelation fee is also not normal should be charged.

Overall - bad service, not a pet lover, rip off.
