NU Car Rentals nu car rentals reservation unethical contract web page

I went onto Expedia web page and entered the exact dates for my car rental. Double checked the dates to make sure they were right before completing the transaction. The immediate confirmation page showed different dates. And there was no reimbursement policy. I contacted the confirmation customer service number which was an Expedia representative. I was on hold twice while he contacted NU for 45 minutes. Mainly I wanted them to correct there technological glitch that got the wrong dates and give me my money back since their mistake caused the wrong dates. NU is unethical in that I did everything appropriately and they Immediately charge my credit card so I end in paying for their tech glitch. They abuse me by then offering some credit for something I do not want or offering to correct the dates for a possible increase in charges. Easier to get resolution by cancelling your payment through my bank card. That does not resolve three hours of my time wasted on NU car rentals.

NU Car Rentals "early drop off" charge after rental

NuCar / ActionCar Rental added a $25 charge to my card after I returned the car. When I called the MCO facility to inquire, they ("Ray") said it was for an "Early Drop Off" charge that was in my contract.

A) There is no Early Drop Off charge in the attached Terms and Conditions that was sent to me upon confirming and paying for my reservation.
B) At pick up I asked about early drop off (My flight was at 7AM, and the counter opens at 6AM). They said it would be no problem as someone would be there to check in the car. There was no mention of an early drop off fee.
C) I called the desk again during my rental to ask about shuttle service prior to 6AM, and again, I was told no problem. There was no mention of an early drop off fee.

At no time during the booking process or during these conversations about an early drop off did any representative from Nu Car / ActionCar mention anything about an early drop-off fee.

When I called the MCO facility to ask about this charge, the man that answered the phone, Ray, continuously talked over me and said this was their policy and it's in the Rental contract. After about the 4th time he talked over me, I called him out about it, and he hung up on me.

It is *not* in the rental contract I was sent (attached).

I have flow around the world - with over 1.5 Million Miles flown - and rented many hundreds of cars, maybe even more than a thousand in my professional traveling career. I have *never* been charged an early drop off fee.

NU Car Rentals no response for a refund inquiry

Sir/Ma'am.

I booked a car rental w/ NU Car rentals through Travelocity on 1 July 18 (1130L pick up) & was unable to use it due to or flight landing at 1pm. I called your NU branch in Miami, FL & the rep advised that they were sold out so we were not able to redeemed/use the reservation. Since it was cancelled we were advised we would not have to worry about a payment however on 3 July we were billed $128.95 by your company. I have attempted to contact your company several times and have left several messages (at [protected] between 4 and 21 Jul 18) but have not received a response even though the voicemail advises we should receive a call back.
Looking for another/better customer service number to resolve this issue.

NU Car Rentals nu car rental o'hare

On Friday 9/8 i rented a car from NU. I'm very dissatisfied for the following reasons.
- 30 minute wait time for pick up at O'hare
- 40 mins waiting in line at rental agency to get car.
-surprise request for auto insurance verification.
- no bold notification anywhere on the website does it indicate proof of insurance is required.
- when I questioned this lack of transparency, Alene, who was not the person checking me in, made the inappropriate, condescending and snarky comment 'It's not our fault you can't read' (that is a direct quote.)
- per your website I was anticipating driving away in a RAV 4 or something comparable. I was given the keys to a Jeep Wrangler.
Completely unacceptable.
-a Jeep Wrangler is not a comparable substitute.
I was driving to pick my 88 year old mother - she could not get into the jeep unassisted and it was a horrible bumpy ride for her.

You missed the mark
W this customer- I believe I'm due not only and apology but a monetary rebate on my car rental

Attempts via phone and text to contact O'hare management have unsuccessful.

I too was stone walk with proof of insurance required even after my visa company explained to them that visa covers my rental insurance coverage. Burned 2 hours of my vacation on this SCAM. I'm working with my visa to get my money back now. Terrible experience.

NU Car Rentals unfair practices

I rented through Car Rental, com and was able to make reservation on NU Car Rental Confirmation # 7970021498NU.
To my surprise, the provided contact number on my confirmation was never answered in more than 10 times. Upon arrival at the airport I had to wait for over 40 minutes to be picked up by a bus. At the location I was told that NU Car Rental was no longer in service and the provided phone number was not in service. I was told that Leaseway Car & Truck Rental had purchased NU Car Rental. Here is what transpired at the Leaseway location and it was posted in Facebook to alert friends and family members about this company.

Travelers Beware!
If you have plans to rent a car while traveling to Puerto Rico, make sure you know which car rental company you deal with. There is a local truck and car rental company known as Leaseway Car & Truck Rental that just recently purchased NU Car Rental. Leaseway Car & Truck are defrauding customers. Example: If you make a reservation online, they won't show the rental agreement; instead, they ask you to call or email for information. Unfortunately, they won't answer your calls.
Once you check into their location at Isla Verde PR, is when your nightmare starts. If your rental is covered by your auto insurance or credit card, they won't accept your insurance card; they will ask for your insurance page declaration. If you are lucky, your insurance company would fax the document. After receiving and examining the documents if your full cover is less than $100, 000/$300, 000, they will explain to you that the law in Puerto Rico mandates the renter to buy insurance coverage provided by them at $18 per day. On top of that, they claimed that in PR, it was mandatory by law to purchase road toll at $3.95 per day even if you don't have any use for it.
Needless to say their claim about mandatory minimums or road toll purchase is a lie. Moreover, when you try to present an argument against that type of unfair practice, they will claim a right to rent clause.
My advice to you all, please share this info with friends and family members.

NU Car Rentals transcanada - they steal your money

TransCanada and NU Car Rentals Scam companies I should have read the reviews and complaints online earlier. NU Car Rentals advertise a low rate of $11 or $13 a day online but I ended paying more than $100! On top of than I expected the that's the cost a full day but since I exceeded 200kms they charged me extra for it. It gets worse – from the $13, they add all the hidden fees (including all the insurance you don't need and all the extras added to your bill). That's how they added up to way more than $100. And because I live in Canada and I booked NU Car Rental online, they quoted in US$. So I ended paying more in CAD$ because at the moment the exchange rate works very much against me. This is despite me being in Canada and I end up paying US$ rates. I'll bet once the exchange rate goes the other way again (CAD$ higher than US$) they will charge everyone in CAD$ instead of US$. That's how scammers work. And they are affiliated with TransCanada (another scam company). Also they car they gave me was about only half filled with gas. They did not tell me to only return it with only about the same amount.in the first place they should have given me a full tank. When I spoke to one of their staff and eventually their manager, they told me the extra gas I put in is not refundable and there's nothing they can do about it. I also told them about the huge costs and they gave me lame answers. After a while I realise its no point arguing with them further. Having everything printed on an invoice which they give you later DOES NOT make it legal or morally justifiable. They just cover their "behinds" while robbing you of your money. Terrible customer service. These companies should be shut down and not exist because of their fraudulent activities. The Ministry of Transport should go after these 2 companies and the ones like them and shut them down. Stay away from both NU Car Rentals and TransCanada, Its shameful they have “Canada” in TransCanada. I will certainly never deal with them again. Oh by the way NU runs NU hotels – I would expect those hotels are another scam. These people are thieves. That's what scammers are – they steal your money as in day light robbery.

Terrible service rude hangs up on you even the corporate office don't rent there's. Bunch of fees!there don't care about those customers don't do it not worth the stress!
