I have also been sent similar mail from one Dr. Mark Eastwood, the mail claims that he is Nokia Chief Financial Officer. After reading through some comments i have concluded that this is a scam, because i believe there cant be more than one financial officer as there are other names claiming to be Chief Financial Officer.
I want to believe that Nokia is in support of this scam, if not why wont they have gotten a solution to it or at least check mate the people behind this.Nokia is too big a company to let this fly and you will be doing your ardent customers a realy big favour by addressing this issue.
I would like to be updated on whatever actions or steps Nokia would be taking to combat this scam, my email address is olaolu101975@yahoo.co.uk and my phone number is +[protected].

I have recieved a similar email and I was so concerned whether it is a scam or real. I emailed the person, Paul Richardson of 2 Queen Anne's Gate London SWIH 9AA United Kingdom.

I was emailed the Verification Confirmation Requirement mail and the Payment Release Form and send back so my prize money of 110, 000 pounds could be processed.

I seemed so real and I don't know what to do. When I asked if my prize money could be deposited into my account instaed of paying the huge delivery fee. I was advised, its not possible because of regualtions. I have to pay the delivery fee of almost 400 pounds which is equivalent of 1700 papua New Guinea kina.

I have emailed the British High Commission in Papua New Guinea for verification but have not heard from them yet.

I want to know if this is a scam or real. I cannot pay for deliver, unless I know its genuine. I still have not sent back the Verification Conformation Requirement mail and the Release Form yet.

The Promotion coordinator's contact in Uk is Phon: +[protected] and fax : +[protected].

If it is a scam I am not worried but it just not right for people to prey on the unsuspecting. If I have won a prize, well its luck at its best.

Nokia misleading behavior at nokia care agra

My cell ph all of a sudden stopped working, when I went to nokia care cente they told me there was some water which has gone inside the phone so warranty is void & i'll have to pay 1500 as repair.
When I objected to it saying there is no such incident of ph coming in contact with water to refused to listen.
Some of my friends also faced this problem, they say its the best excuse that they have.

I just want to say if nokia 's intentions are such then they should close these shops called nokia care.
We consumers are not fools & we know it better how to operate phones

My name is Deepak Garg, I bought a new N 70 against Bill in November 2007 and the Serial no is [protected], when i dailed the phone the loudspeaker and media Player of the phone automatically get on, and the phone will get disconnected. I have taken my phone to nokia care in pitam pura where they have told me about the software problem of the phone, they have loaded the software again and give to me, that problem again come when i left that place. Then i have shown my phone to Naraina Nokia care Centre on 4 th April they told that this problem will be solved, u have to leave the phone for 10 to 15 days, after 10 days i got my phone and after that, that problem aries again, i have gone their again and told that person, he told me that this has to send to our head office for repair. After 15 days they have given me the phone agains and it works properly only for 1 day and that problem is started again. Even they have put the phone for 2 days for quality check also, But i dont get favourable response.

So i have decided to go to consumer Court for this bad service provided by Nokia.

Manoj Kumar, nothing comes so free nowadays esp in thousands or millions. Please do not give your money to these "winning cases" anymore. They are cons. If big companies were to offer cash prices, you would be communicating direct to their email domain for this case - emailaddress@nokia.com
This is the very least. I don't know if it is silly, I'd ask them to deduct everything they need from the prize money itself and give me the balance. Just let me know how much has been deducted. After all, it's free money, I don't care how much I get.

I might have been scammed. I received an email from Nigeria, in which I was promised millions of dollars for doing nothing other than accepting a cash transfer into my bank account. When I contacted the agent, he said that he was going to set up the deal but he had to be paid half his fee in New York, and the other half out of the transferred funds. Until the other party had funds in the US, I would have to cover part of the fees. At first, he asked for $27, 000 in cash, but when I told them I only had $15, 000 he said he would give me a "break." However, when I flew to New York, he met me at the airport and took the cash saying that he would be back with the "contracts." That is the last I have seen of him. Every day I wander around Kennedy airport, and I never see him. I hope he wasn't hurt, but I sure would like to complete this great deal.

That is a scam. If you have to pay a fee, it is a scam.
You should have checked everything carefully before actually paying them. You won't get your money back and you should definitely not pay them anymore. Just ignore them from now on.

Nokia lottery

I got a text to my mobile on September 5th regarding a Nokia Mobile Promotion in Nigeria that i have won a Sweep draw held their.
So, it asked me to contact to this no. +[protected] or africa.[protected]@live.com to Dr. Ibrahim AbuBaker.
Well, i did and they asked me money for the DHL, VAT Fee, United Nation Anti- Terrorism and i paid for all this AED 50, 000
Because it sounded so real when i contacted the person and for the e-mails like documents and Certificates.
Secondly, they said they transfered the won prize to Nokia London Head Office because of the late payment and the won prize is making a big issue in Nigeria.
So, there Dr. Anthony Floyd was in charge of the won prize - +[protected], [protected]@hotmail.com.
I asked him if they could directly transfer the money to my own country. And they agreed, then they asked the VAT Fee, Insurance and Security, Late Charges and finally to the Activation card. I already paid for now AED 30, 000.
It was difficult, very hardly i paid all this with a great stuggle to get the won prize.
They gave me the bank details STERLING TRUST BANK PLC.
About Mrs. Linda Brimgham - [protected]@sterlingtrustbank.com.
All this they have mailed us the Certificates, Court issued documents and mails which looks so real with signatures of the President of Nokia..
If such a Big thing is going around the world destroying the company name..Why is there no action taken?
For anymore details, i can forward the mails.
Thank you

When I read it I was very cool about it because nobody can win so much money just by owning a nokia mobile phone. The only thing that I did was going to the website of www.nokia.com and I saw the complaintsboard. And I laughed, I feel very sad for every one who believe it and reacted on this textmessage. Why I was so cool, is because I often get these kind of emails in my mailbox .These kind of textmessages and emails are from Nigeria. A friend of me had once reacted on an email and lost a lot of money, so I'm aware of these pranks and frauds!

People with doctorates do not make "multiple' grammatical errors when they write.
1. Nokia would not employ someone with a job title "Cash Officer". They don't dispense cash.

2. "Computer ballot system drawn FORM" ? They meant to say drawn FROM. . . Big companies have spell and grammar check on their computers. They don't release mistakes like that.

3. Here's another huge error: "due to the following reasons as follows below". Another indication that the text was crafted by someone either in a hurry, or lacking an understanding of proper grammar.

4. Here's another huge error: "So THATS is why we are going to use a diplomatic service". THATS IS WHY ! ! ! There's no need for further proof that this is a total scam. Whoever is doing this has left many clues that they're simply playing a game.

Nokia rude manager and lost 1500 pictures

Hi my name is sevinc, i went to nokia customer service on 10th october friday about 11.54 am. I dont know staff's name but she has black hair and black eyes, middle height, middle weight but if i was to see her i would remember her..she was sitting at the 2nd desk.I gave her my phone with my messages, telephone numbers and very important 1500 pictures with some videos. I am a photographer in turkey i've been in melbourne since feb and dont have too much time. Those photos that i had were very important as i was going to use them in a art galary. As i was at the nokia care centre i asked the lady that served me what was going to happen to my photos, etc. she said not to worry that they are going to save my data at the back computer.i also have a paper to prove that, and that i will not loss any of my photos. i asked her four times if its safe for my photos and she said that they do have the facilities to save peoples photos. those photos are very very important to me which can not be returned if loss as they were very centimental.

Today which is Tuesday the 14th of october i went nokia care centre, as i was there the service i got was very socking. My phone that i gave with all my data did no longer have any data in it.I spoke to a lady that was the manager her name was Natalie. She couldnt find my data that they promised me to save on any of the back computer of the store. She also was very rude and didn't take any liability for the situation. She basically toled me to forget about my important data and that i wouln't be able to do anything about it.I am very upset and will take this matter further if i cant get help from any one.Natalie also said i shouldn't waist my time in complaning that every thing goes to her and that she is in control.Being a manager at the nokia care centre melb does not give her the rights to treat me and other people the way she does.
I have experinced a very bad thing today as it has affected me alot.I'm only a visitor in melbourne it is not a very good memory to go home back with.I would like my data like they have promised to be given back to me.I don't care how but i want my data back.I also have the filling that they didn't look properly to find my data.I would appricate if someone could help me

kind regards

Their call centre has never answered my calls or emails. Going in person but I'm a little aprihensive to leave my phone with all the numbers I don't have copies of now. I already had this felling they are trouble and it just got worse. Accounts on whirlpool of doodgy 2nd hand replacement phones sent out as "new" replacements under warranty. Sounds like they are scammers.

Apple just replaced my friends iPhone no questions asked, although I note they have a new patent granted for detection sensors that can measure excess heat/moisture and impact as they are probably getting scammed by false claims too. At least Apple puts an emphasis on great customer experience even if it costs it a fraction of their margin the long term brand benefit has proven to be enormous. Take note Nokia.

It gets worse as when you phone their Melbourne store number you are hit with three menus and loads of rubbish talk then you are transferred to a Malaysian call centre and spoken to illiterate phone operators that couldn't find their own backside at the second or third attempt. Australia's Nokia division is about as useless as one can imagine. It's cheaper to fly to Shanghai and find a repairer than it is to be mucked around when you're on expensive mobile call rates talking to their incompetent staff.

I have also had a less than satisfying experience with the care centre in Melbourne.

4 weeks on and after a number of vistis involving multiple hours waiting in the centre i still don't have my replacement phone.

The peak of this terrible customer service was going to collect my new phone on Saturday after being told on Friday afternoon that my phone was ready for collection.

Nokia a successful customer focused company seems to have fallen victim to poor Australian middle management. I'm almost embarrassed to be an aussie.

Dear Sirs/Madam,
I bought the Nokia 6275 (RSN-RNKMQH265211)
vide invoice no. [protected] Dated : 20/07/2007 from M/s Reliance Web Word- JADE ARCADE opposite Paradise MG Road, Secunderabad.
I noticed some problem in the set & it was given to Micronas Telecom, Raj Palace Hukum Singh Market, Sector 27 Noida on 5th may 2008 against the Job Sheet no. [protected]/080505/3.
Today i.e. 6th May, 2008, I received a Phone call from the Service Centre that the set has been tampered & can not be repaired. They asked me to take back the set from them.
The answer which I received from the centre was shocking as I can not even assume that the NOKIA Service Centre can handle his customers like this.
Dear Sir I am requesting you to kinddly look into the matter & update me the status at the earliest as per your Name & Customer Driven approach.

Nokia rude female customer service attendant

A week back I went to the lahore nokia care franchise for submission of my nokia 5610 handset... I was attended to by a female customer service attendant namely fatima who was quite blunt and rude when I asked how long it would take for my mobile to be fixed and handed back. She told me quite plainly that she had no idea how long it would take for the repairs and that I should leave if I thought that the time taken was too long. Is this customer service? Is there some one who could look into this matter and save the customers from such appalling customer service attendants? Can some one help me in this regards? I plan to sue nokia for damages...

I called up Nokia Care Center in Siddiq Trade Center asking for a replacement of casing to my Nokia N8's casing.
First the lady kept asking me in which color I want a casing while I was asking her to tell me about the available colors so I could answer her query consequently.
She then put me on hold without even informing me that she was going to do that.
Apparently after 2 minutes of hold, she reverted back to me saying that it's going to cost approx. PKR 12 to 13, 000/- only and had no idea how long it's going to take.
Superb customer services. No wonder we are progressing downwards at such a rapid pace.

Nokia rude female customer service executives

Two days back I went to nokia care (lahore, pakistan) to ask whether my e-90 communicator had been fixed as its mic was out of order. It had been 3 weeks and my mobile had not been returned. The female attendant by the name of fatima told me that it had not been done and that I should not be appalled as it was a common thing their that mobiles took a long time to fix. She then told me that I should hurry up my matter and leave the seat as she had other customers to attend to. She was quite rude and apparently had no manners and moreover no idea of what customer service is. Please look into the matter as I am just one of the many customers who might have suffered on account of a rude customer service attendant.

I have given my nokia 3230 for a repair in the month of august. I was told that it will take couple of days for the update. After 15 days i got a call from nokia care and i was informed that the total charges would be INR3700.00. I told them not to repair and return back the handset. After 5 follow ups, i got my handset after a month. That person handed the handset after taking the receipt from me. I went to a near by shop for the repair and i was shocked to hear that the speaker and other important gadgets were stolen. I immediately called the nokia care and she told me that she cant help me unless and until i have the bill.

Whom should we contact for such a kind of Cheat?

A week back I went to collect my mobile which was two weeks over due. However to my disgust my nokia 6300 mobile hand set had still not been repaired as there were no available lcd's. I was frustrated and angry and the female customer service attendant namely raheela was not that helpful either. She told me that nothing could be done and that I should not waste her time by 'fussing' about. And that I was spoiling other customers sitting there. It seems strange that such a big name namely nokia would hire customer service attendants who are so rude and who cant empathize with customers.

I paid for the nokia 6300 handset with my hard earned mobile and if it is not fixed in two weeks I should get a new one. Moreover it is an enigma as to what sort of brains are behind the nokia care outlet in lahore because the female lasses at the front desk are quite rude and appalling.

I have a nokia n81. Have been after nokia care centres in chennai for a front cover panel for the last 3 months. Their response is pathetic. They dont have the stock. When I ask for the cost, each nokia care centre is quoting different rates ranging from 1200 to 2800 rs. Within a year of having bought a phone, I am unable to use it for the last 3 months nad nokia care is just not bothered. Kindly contact me at [protected] and resolve this issue.

I have a nokia supernova 7210c that was submitted for software problems at nokia care, lahore for about six times. Time and time again I was assured that the problem would not recur. I even met the branch manager and told him about the problem but he was quite rude and told me that he could do nothing about the problem and that it would be better that I sold the mobile rather than annoy him. I am a harrased and abused customer who hopes that some thing is done to reign in such people who dont help or assist customers.
