NetSpend account locked

Not sure how it got locked. But just today, I tried logging into online banking and it says account locked. All of my money is in there and now do not have money for gas to get to work! I tried calling customer service to no avail. I dont even know how it got locked in the first place! So aggravating. Makes me want to switch to another company. I have been with netspend for over 4 years!

NetSpend ace elite

It has been 5 days now and no reply from the 4 pms that said we will get right back with you.I used my ace card at a Chase bank to withdraw $300.Chase charged $303 to my card and receipt says we are unable to give you your cash now. I have filed a dispute and they say 45 days to resolve. What is there to investigate. I will need o switch providers before my rent comes due again. Thank you

NetSpend netspend lock

My account was locked for fraud when I tried to transfer my balance to another NetSpend card. I have now sent everything required plus more being told then my account would be unlocked. However, every time I call I get a different answer. I'm now homeless and close to losing my car and now they day they won't lift the block they'll issue me a check in 7-10 days...I was told that three weeks ago also but still no check. I'm getting the run around. I did nothing wrong, can't get a strange answer and desperately need that money.

NetSpend will not give me my $400 back. "unethical behavior"

On 4/23 I loaded $300. When I went to spend it online, all my charges were declined.
I called and Harry said it went to fraud dept but they wouldn't tell me what was going on or what the charges were. I told him to just close the account if I cannot spend my own money. Harry closed the account and told me it would take 7-15 business before I received my refund check.
On 5/17 I called back and spoke to Angela. She said the check was processed on 4/29 to give it 48 more hours.
On 5/23 I spoke with Layna, she said check was mailed 4/29. A specialist would call me by May 28th. No call and still no check.
On 6/3 Toni said they cancelled the first check and were issuing another #890848
I told her I wanted to speak to a manager. SHe left me on hold & eventually the system kicked me out.
I called back and DEMANDED to speak to a manager. I got Melanie who said she was a supervisor. She told me somebody would call by 3PM to issue a check TODAY. No call AGAIN.
I called back again on 6/4 Luis, another supervisor, said he was waiting on a computer update about my mystery check they allegedly sent. A specialist would call within one or two hours.
I am writing this on 6/10, six weeks after the initial fiasco began and still no check.
I will follow up this complaint with as many complaints and agencies I can find today. This has been a nightmare experience met with foreigners and incompetence answering the phones and repeating the script like good little slaves.
The desired resolution is the return of MY MONEY into MY ACCOUNT. NOW!

UPDATE: The moral of the story is to document your calls and any written communication with the company as you will need it to fight them. Make sure you take action by filing a complaint with CFPB BEFORE THE 60 DAYS EXPIRES.
They are attempting to wait out the clock and KEEP YOUR MONEY.
The same day I filed with the government I FINALLY got some action from NETSPEND CORP.
The check has now cleared. Technically, they call this resolved. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE VULTURES.

UPDATE: I finally did get a corporate response yesterday after filing multiple complaints. This morning the corporation was able to publicly respond but my response had to be sent PRIVATELY directly to the company. Here is my response: "Yes your records came to life once complaints with the government and other agencies were filed. Why do you PREDATORY companies think you get all the PROTECTION? Why must I submit a PRIVATE message in response to you. I'm not the one who started this. You pissed me off and laughed for 6 weeks while I dealt with your band of foreign [censored]s who delivered ZERO assistance to resolve my case. Last night, out of the blue, coincidently following these complaints and revealing the fact that I was forced to reveal my SS# several times to foreigners, I receive a phone call of some scammer saying my SS# was being suspended. I'm sure there is no connection and pure coinky dinky." The pure hell we must endure for us as the victim of these predators is unfathomable. The corporation DID finally contact me yesterday and tried for 15 minutes to convince me that they would do me the great favor of getting the risk dept to reinstate my account and now I could spend my own money. I said "you have to be kidding me, after all this [censored] run around you think I am going to do business with you!" The second option was again w/o them lifting a damn finger could electronically send money to a money gram location where I could do all the work of retrieving it. The final option which I pushed and they resisted was to send the hard copy check. I asked for and even offered to take the funds from my account to expedite shipping. She declined this offer. The person handling my account will contact me today to update any movement.

NetSpend netspend card regulation e disputes

I have had A BILLING ERROR with penn credit and ehave tried everything in my power to fix it to no resolution so I contacted Netspend and filed 2 claims one for $390 and another for $213. I've been waiting almost 2 months on the 1st and 15 days on the 2nd. According to customer service they wont issue me a provisional credit while they "investigate" my claims ( they've not done anything) because of regulations E that says they dont issue provisional credits for non billing issues. The 2 problems with this ridiculous excuse are first nowhere under refunds and provisional credits does it say only for billing errors we classify ourselves as acceptable billing errors and second IT IS A BILLING ERROR, THE COMPANY MADE A "BILLING ERROR " WHEN THEY CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL CHARGES! THEY ERRORED! I PUT ALL my pay on this card to pay Bill's, I need my money back for payments I didn't make! I'm out almost $800 and cant wait any longer to fix these billing errors!

NetSpend tu smart move, villard, and its other name I never been to these places

I was at working checking my card in I unrecognized this transaction for $40 that I'm unaware of and I need questions and I need my money back I have five kids I don't have time to be playing and I also have another one for $82 I don't know where that came from I haven't even been on the alert and I have another dispute that I wanted sector or was $63 I'm not sure what that came from I'm just real tired of my money I do have five kids I'm in the process of moving all type of stuff I do not need no money took off of my card

NetSpend locked account

I just got a random text at 9:30 saying my account is locked and to call customer service. I call and of course it is past the time so I now have to wait until tomorrow! This is memorial weekend. I have no time to be without my card/money!
Why is there a lock on my card and from the reviews on this matter it seems like you guys will block the automatic bill payments I have set up to come out my account soon.
I cannot afford to fall behind in my bills and I need my money! My direct deposits goes into my account. I need answers as soon as possible! I need this lock off my account. I work in finance I will sue the [censored] out of netspend I am not about to be scammed out of my hard earned money!

NetSpend card

So awhile back I bought a net spend card to be used as emergency money just Incase I needed it, but as I was doing so I entered incorrect information about my ss# and my address so now when I call support they won't help me due to lacking information to pull up my account, it's been about a year now and I'm currently in a crisis and I kinda want my money back. Is there anyone I can email or call for this to be resolved? It would be nice to have that money back.

NetSpend unauthorized transactions

To who it may concern, this morning I received a text alert that $1000 was taken off my Netspend card . The incident happened with in minutes at the 711 store on may 23, 2019. The store in question is on second st in El Cajon ca. This morning my husband and I call your customer service department. we were given the following numbers, 51, 45, 618 also 53, 56, 0794. The amounts taken were $303, $303, $303. I do know for a fact that these transitions were not done by me . My Husband and I need the money returned immediately. This is completely immoral and corrupt. we are very angry about this. please see to getting this settled asap. My husband is completely livid and very angry about it as I am . We have been costumers of net spend for many years. I HOPE this is going to be be solved quickly.

NetSpend locked account

There has been no warning and no reason and my account is locked. There is no way for me to access the money that I have worked hard for so that I can do what I need. I will be transfering to a bank as soon as possible. I will not use this longer this company. I have bills to pay and I need to go to the doctor and I dont have insurance and dont have any way other than this card to pay for it.

NetSpend funds restricted

I am very angry and disappointed because for some reason there was a restriction put on my account and i was completely unaware of it. I have never had this problem before. Now that i need the money i am unable to send it. Now my bills will probably be late and more money will have to be paid. I have used netspend for many years. Why now of all times to do this to me.

NetSpend netspend paypal prepaid mastercard

On 04MAY19 I purchased a NetSpend Paypal Prepaid Mastercard at a local retailer for $2.95 in order to make some ebay purchases. My initial load was $300.00. Upon getting home and attempting to activate the card for use, the account was immediately locked with no information or even a reason as to why. I attempted to call the Toll-Free number provided, and after spending more time typing in the card number the automated system stated the offices were closed and nobody could be contacted. RED FLAG NUMBER 1.

The next morning on 05MAY19, I called the company and this time spoke to an (obviously overseas) rep who told me I had to furnish them with a copy of my Social Security Card, Driver's License, and a Piece of Mail. RED FLAG NUMBER TWO. Fearing I would never see my money again unless I complied, I emailed my information, and received an email a couple hours later indicating my card was now active. After seeing the THOUSANDS of negative reviews and the multiple lawsuits, as well as a US Government Investigation and Action AGAINST this company, I decided it was probably best to spend the $300 I loaded onto it as fast as possible. I have since put an Identity Theft Lock on my credit report, and have had to notify my banks and credit card companies to put an alert on the accounts from possible unusual activity.

On May 5th I Made first ebay purchase of $212.49.
Immediately after, on May 5th I made a second ebay purchase of $79.98.

On May 6th I made a 3rd ebay purchase $2.54.
Immediately after, on May 6th I attempted to make a 4th ebay purchase of $2.81, and the card was declined.

On May 7th I attempted the same 4th ebay purchase again of $2.81, and the card was again declined.

The 3 approved ebay purchases total $295.01, and with a $300.00 initial load on the card should leaving a balance of $4.99 that should be available, but cannot be used for an unknown reason. At this point, I feel the company has done to my account what they seem to be famous for: Locking out the account, or making the funds unavailable for no known reason and without any notice.

I'm amazed that the BBB gives this company an "A" rating, considering the company has had US Government Action taken against it, and (at the time of this complaint) there has been 600 complaints on the BBB website in the last 12 months alone. The company in question (NetSpend) isn't even BBB accredited. Customer reviews on the BBB site itself are 1.2 out of 5 stars at best, with scathing reviews and multiple lawsuits won against the company all over the internet.

NetSpend account frozen, then closed and money in account not refunded after 5 weeks

I moved to my new address from 187 Myrtle Ave, Somerset, NJ 08873 on February 26, 2019. I was changing my address information on my Netspend account on March 23, 2019 when my account was locked. My paycheck had been deposited that week and the amount in the account was $ 1, 345.00.
My Netspend account number was [protected], expiration 4/21.

I contacted Netspend via telephone and was told my account was frozen and I had to provide proof of my identity via documents. I informed Netspend that I had moved and after submitting document over the next week Netspend confirmed that I was Alan Stowers. With my net paycheck pending deposite and Netspend not reactiving my account I stopped the payrole direct deposites and moved to another bank.

On April 1, 2019 I was told by Juan at Customer Service that my refund would be mail on April 2, 2019 and that it would take 10 business days for me to receive it. I still have not received my refund check. This loss of income has been compiled by my car having trouble. I have fallen behind in my bills and I am facing eviction from my apartment.

I called Netspend customer service to tell them that I still have not received my refund on April 22, 2019 and spoke to Stefanie who stated my refund was sent on April 2, 2019, check # 878348 and that I should wait another week before requesting a stop payment on the check.

I asked if Netspend could send my refund overnight with return receipt requested for me to sign for the document and she said no! She stated I would have to wait another 3 weeks for the check. It's been 5 weeks since Netspend closed my account.

I have found the customer service department to be unhelpful and uncaring with assisting me to resolve my issue of getting my money. I did nothing wrong and had no issue for my Netspend account for 2 years. Can someone help me get my money back before I get evicted.

I find it very disappointing that Netspend has not been able to refund my deposited paycheck. Due to their uncooperativeness I had to change banks and they will not consider sending my money via electronic direct deposite to my new bank. I don't understand how a On Line Business can not return my money the same way they received. How can I expedite this situation that may lead to my eviction from my current apartment? Please help...

Still no check received. Cancelled the payment and requested my account to be reopened and my money placed back into my account. Netspend refuses to send my refund overnight with tracking number. Their service is terrible.

We are having problems getting our money back well. They closed a subaccount that had money in it and I can't get them to move the money into the main account. I have been trying since April and I get different answers every time I call in. They claim that the subaccount holder has to verify his identity. On a closed subaccount, why? that doesn't even make sense. Did you ever get your money back?

NetSpend prepaid cards / account

These last two weeks have been absolutely awful for me due to NetSpend.
I got a Prepaid NetSpend card as a gift and was so skeptical about making an account with my SSN required to activate this card. I make the account and realize you paid fees for every purchase.
I purchased something online and requested for a refund (it was accepted), but when I went to go check if I got my money back... My NetSpend account got locked!
I am so worried because I don't know how and why it got locked. I am also anxious because I have no idea if I'll get fees that I don't know about!
I really need my account to be unlocked, but I have gotten no response to my email yet, and I just really want to use all the money on the card and delete my entire NetSpend account.
Please, please, please! I hate this so much and want to get away from NetSpend already.

NetSpend debt bankcard

You should file a complaint with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. They may have a limited inpact on the Netspend but it may get their attention to resolve their refund practices.

NetSpend netspend customer services and risk fraud department

I received my government tax refund with netspend.com I was only able to use some of my money when they locked all of my 3 accounts do to identity frund well do to that witch I have never had my identify stolen had to go to More then once to the IRS office to asked for a letter of identify so they could realised my money well I been trying to get my money since December 01.2018 I been told several things by them to this day I haven't be able to get my money of $2, 100.00 I been with out able to pay my bills that I had my light disconnected cause they won't give my money I'm a single mother of 5 kids and I just dont know what to do any more please help me

I have been waiting for netspend to unlocked my account accounts do to identify fraud I received my tax refund. But was only able to use a little of my refound do to needed to verify my identity witch I went more the once to the irs office and inform them that I was told by netspend customer service that I needed letter of identy from the bank that had deposit my money witch was the irs back. I after being told that they received the documents they were going to send my check 8 -10 days 1/28 I email, faxed and mailed the orginal letter of identify they send me a check of $50.00 but I been waiting for my balance on on my account was $1, 990.00 been waiting since december and on 4/03 was told no were not sending you no check cause have not recieved any documents im so mad upset iam a s I nvle mother of 5 kids and just got my light shut off for no payment and thanks to netspend

NetSpend account locked

Account is locked. Your customer service is full of idiots. I just want to log in to my online account. I have my damn card, I can give the information. Look at the damn balance and tell me what exactly I'm trying to steal, when its IN THE NEGATIVE. I already have the damn SSN# to access it, like...are ya'll seriously this stupid?

And, of course, you guys close BEFORE my husband gets off work. But he HAS to be on the line to...what? Confirm AGAIN that he gave me access to this card? Better yet, why can't you at least tell me WHY my [censored]ing account is locked? That's really all I wanted to know, I wasn't even trying to log in at that point. I just wanted to make sure the card still worked, although from what I've been reading in cases similar to mine, ya'll are REALLY quick to accept that deposit on these cards despite the accounts being locked.

If I can't access it, and I can't even log in online, then why in the actual [censored] is it okay for you to accept any kind of deposit? That's a little [censored] backwards, and fishy. It reeks of catfish on this [censored] complaint website. I'm only posting this so other people can read it, I know this won't get resolved because ya'll [censored] on that, too.

NetSpend dispute

I filed a dispute with netspend because someone stole my card i submitted a police report as well as dispute form waited 30 days only for them to tell me im not eligible for a credit I'm currently in the process of fighting with them over a 600$ dispute DO NOT USE NETSPEND they had problems in 2016-17 with people getting their money and they do not give your money back when you file a dispute I'm about to call the federal trade Commission and BBB As well

Got a call from corporate even though they spent a month investigating they still didnt see that I wasnt the using my card and to follow up with police (I sent netspend my police report with my dispute papers) basically I'm screwed out of 623$ and have a nice day i will never ever again use them and I will never refer anyone to use them

NetSpend transaction dispute-provisional credit

charges fees on all transactions. company is not loyal to customers and the customer service seems inexperienced with handling alot of everyday issues. I filed a dispute because of a wrongfully charged payment on my account. I know that it was a mistake and that the merchant wrongfully charged my account. I cant wait two weeks for provisional credit. I have kids to feed. Ive been a long time loyal customer and the amount of money i pay netspend in fees every month more than covers the provisional credit im demanding. They do not honor what they tell customers. They will charge you for everything but when it comes to filing a dispute, they step on you when your drowning.Do not trust them with your money.

NetSpend atm withdrawal of 60.00 dollars

My name is Murad Abuoun my address is 5638 Decker Rd. North Olmsted, OH, 44070. My Birthday is 10-12-1979. And my social is [protected]. I am writing this because on 3/9/19 someone made a unauthorized cash withdrawal of 60.00 dollars with my Netspend debit card ending 1469. I don't know who it is or how they got my pin number.
