NetSpend Unauthorized charges and false information on there report when I filled the despute

I filled a despute for unauthorized charges and NetSpend supposly did a investigation and I doubt they did they put false information and denied my despute closed all my NetSpend accounts even on my direct deposit for my work. All the transactions where done with out me ever recieveing my card still was waiting on it at the time my account was closed they really didn't even try to help me I never even activated a card so how they say it was me.

NetSpend Netspend card with my name was stolen from my apartment

Here's the thing. I didn't order this card. Facebook sent it to me with my name on it to my address. Thieves got into my apartment. It didn't have it's activation sticker on it because I had removed it without activation. I was going to shred it. I left it in my sweater pocket. I happen to live alone. I went to the store, returned home a while later and saw that things had been messed with in my apartment. I went into my bedroom and checked the pocket of my sweater. The card was gone. I had to call the police and report the card stolen. Since then, I've received calls about my Hilton Orlando hotel stay when I've never been to Florida (I don't travel). I never wrote down the number because I wasn't going to activate it. I've been having the hardest time tracking down this card and getting justice because the thieves are constantly entering my apartment when I'm gone. They have also stolen my CVS store card, 3 Guys from Brooklyn store card, Cash App business Cash card (which I didn't order and was stolen from my mailbox), original baptism certificate, original confirmation certificate, dividend checks and more. I have had to call NYPD 5 times in less than a year and FBI twice because they've repeatedly hacked my computer system and accessed files/info pertaining to myself and my ill mother. The thieves targeted my Cash App, PayPal and Coinbase. This is FBI jurisdiction. They've recently tried to get into my bank account. I have been going through this for 11 months now without any justice.

Desired outcome: I'd like to know why Facebook and Meta bank began sending these cards out without my asking for them (I received another one which I destroyed).

NetSpend Netspend

I bought this card at Walmart because I was told it was only $2-3 and you didn't have to add money at time of purchase. I was very low on cash and needed the card so someone could send me some money. When I went to buy the card it was $2-3 but you had to put a minimum of $10 on the card at time of purchase. That was almost all the money I had. Bought the card and tried to activate it. I made a mistake on entering some information. But, it is forever written to the card at that point.

I called the number to try and get it fixed multiple times. On hold for 30 minutes to and hour. Got the run around each time. Finally I gave up up and told them I just wanted my $10 back. They agreed to refund it. 3 weeks later, no check. Called again spending hours on hold and getting the run around. Finally they agreed to send the check out again. A month later, no check.

Tried calling them back again today several times. Now they've changed there phone menu and you can't get to an operator anymore. On top of that they canceled my card. That is the only way to access anything on their phone menu. So I'm basically locked out. I was finally able to get to an operator through the back door. They won't refund my money because my verification answers don't match. They don't match because my phone did autocorrect or I mistyped something. I don't know what it changed so I can't give them the right answers. This was 2 months ago. Still getting the run around.

Desired outcome: Shut down Netspend as they are ripping people off everyday. Customer support is horrific in every sense of the word and then some. They have terrible reviews everywhere you look.I just want my $10 back so I can throw this card in the trash.

Customer service will try and trick you saying you have to verify your account through the automated system. This is just a trick to give you the run around. Stop them in their tracks before they transfer you and demand a supervisor. They will try and do the same thing.

NetSpend Debit card account locked

My acct. was locked by NetSpend and I've tried multiple times to get it unlocked. Answered all security questions, provided all the ID I had, and spoken to Supervisors etc... I called to insure that my last SSI check would not be accepted into acct. 3 days in a row, and was assured by Supervisors 3 days in a row that there were no incoming or outgoing funds to that acct. Then they accepted my SSI payment anyway, and refuse to release it! I've lost my apartment, and have no $,no food, and no address due to this. They have repeatedly misled me, and I can't even access my online acct. to see what(if anything) is going on in my acct.

NetSpend Unexpected account closure

So on 5/11/2022 someone stole my card when i had a house break in, which in term was able to successfully charge $270.00 to my card at a campsite in ohio. once I noticed the charge on my account I immediately locked my card up reported the charge as fraudulent. Immediately after that i tried to login to my account it said it was locked and i then called customer service. The informed that risk management closed my account and that I would be getting a refund in the mail, and that I was banned from netspend. I do not understand how I am a risk when it is out of my control of what happened with my card also i have yet to hear back from anyone at netspend.

Desired outcome: i just want my money back the 270.15 . After this encounter I dont want to be any way affiliated or deal with any netspend services again. please and thank you

Mh daughter tried to set up a card ./ act..she sent all required docs and they claim they cant set up her card , the 300$ loaded came from my acct ..they have not yet refunded the 300$ and it is impossible to speak w a rep as her card number and ssn were both coming up as invalid , this is poor customer service i can see why you are not able to speak to a live person there are a lot of complaints and this co. Seems to be scamming hard working ppl.of their money

NetSpend Missing money

My name is Brenda Barton. I have a NetSpend prepaid card. On the begining of the month around the first of this month I put two hundred dollars on the card. I spent a hundred and fifty on an Amazon order. There should have been fifty left but when I checked the card over a week later all the money was gone. Where is it? I wouldn't mind if ten was taken out for card fees but not all of it. I want to know where it went. I want it put back. I shouldn't have to spend it right away or it be gone!

NetSpend Prepaid debit card account

Yesterday am [5/16] neither of our cards worked; call Netspend (block on account due to excess activity by one merchant; resolved cards good). Still not working; called back; told cards deactivated suspicious activity; new cards ordered $20/I asked O/N delivery. [No reply]. Online accnt access locked; called again. Told fraud dept closed account, deactivated cards, locked out due to suspicious activity we no longer qualify for netspend svcs. Direct deposits upcoming will reject; refunds, credits by merchants, reverse charges will not be honored. Our balance $5609.64 we have absolutely no access to. Netspend has only access. Not given chance to withdraw funds first. Please help before our money is gone! Thank you.

Desired outcome: Send money immediately overnight w/printout of accnt activity, breakdown of.their fees taken, all Netspend costs, fees waived.

I was given a $50 prepaid card for Christmas 12-25-2021. The card was activated on [protected]. Upon activation the balance was $38.10 because 2 inactivity charges of 5.95 was charged started on [protected] and the. On [protected]. It is unfair that a gift card has fees after only 90 days. I called to ask for this to be refunded and I was told no. This is not good customer service.

i am the secondary cardholder on this account the irs just deposited my refund into this account the same day netspend locked the account the deposit came in as myself the intended recipient of the funds if netspend allowed the deposit to post to the account then i should be allowed to access the account or verify the account they will not unlock the account and the primary account holder is with hospice with breast cancer and isnt able to do anything if im allowed to be on the account as any cardholder and a deposit comes in in my name only then i should be able to access the funds or they should at least transfer the funds into the account that im the only cardholder they can easily verify my name and social security number on the account because of this action by netspend my family and i are about to be on the street because im unable to pay my bills or rent because everything to my name is in this account if the account could not be verified by me then my money should not have been allowed to be deposited into the account we arent talking about a little bit of money here we are talking about over 15 thousand dollars nothing has been alllowed to be taken out of the account but they made sure to take their fees out before they locked the account i have verified every transaction made on this account as my card is the only card that has had any activity on the account what so ever i dont understand why i cant verify the account theyve allowed me to use it for over 3 years now all of a sudden i cant access the accont after a deposit came in only myself as the intended recipient. ive sent in everything i can including a power of attorney naming myself as the acting agent for any and all financial decisions for the main account holder any account ive ever been on rather it be the main account holder or secondary accont holder if my money is allowed to deposit then i should be the one maiking the decision on where and how the money is used its unlawful that my children are starving and we are about to be on the street when i have over 15,000 dollars to my name and they will not allow me access to the funds awful just awful im seeing alot of this happening with this company i think netspend needs to change the way they treat secondary card holders or just dont allow it at all if my name is allowed to be on this account to recieve direct deposit especially when they can prove by looking back at the direct deposit that it belongs to me and only me then i should be allowed to verify this account makes no sense it would be very different if the direct deposit came in both names but only myself is the intended recipient of this particular deposit they should be able to transfer my money to my personal account theres no reason why they cant do this im the one that told the irs to deposit it here then i should be able to move it to another account if theyt wont let me access this one

Where do I send copies I took off my text alerts on what was unauthorized and what I had had left before they grab that money and a copy of bank statement from aug 1st 2012 I never received on my card and I see it's

On your bank statement it's been there all along and at balance left look at ending balance aug 31 a lot of explaing to do before I take to a lawyer and judge your telemarketers keep you on hold for over a hr. And don't understand much english

Not first time your bank has done this but trust me i

Ll make it so you never do it again need address to send again need to head of corporation being a lawyer I can and will turn you in to where control all banks by law and I need to have a address on pone to send copies I took off bank alerts on my phone that will show you I have back up and you have zilch

your right Net pend is more then m messed up they have no idea how to run their banks all over they waste more time not getting to some one who understands English all are telemarketers can hear them in back room they waste they just keep saying same thing over and over and not getting what calls about. FRAUDS i need to send hone copies of my text alerts to show them they are keeping my money i do have that is mine and need to send a copy of bank statement back in Aug 1st when i never got money put on my card but shows they kept my direct deposit and sad it never was received but show it was Aug 1 2012 and ending bal Aug 31st and i never got it. I went with out any money all that month I had no money to get any of my bills pad whole month of Augs no to buy necessary things need in house that food stamps doesn't pay for

My name is Tina Means and I have been a customer of net spend over 3 years now on 5/2/22 I received an email from your company stating that my account was over drawn so I reached out to the customer service department to find out what was going on with this situation so the first rep that I spoke with was very argumentative with me I simply asked her If I had $9.75 bal in my account and I made a purchase of $6.22 how was my account overdrawn -2.42 then Ithe rep mentioned to me about an account statement that I was charged for $5.95 which I was not told by the customer service rep that I had spoken with about statement why didn't mentioned to me to let me know that the account statement would be a charge for it and allow me to decide if I still wanted go ahead with him emailing the statement 'so she was again argumentative with as she continue to be threw out the whole conversation she never answered none of my questions about why would this company allow money to continue to be withdrawn from my account if the funds are insufficient now netflix had pulled $10.77 from my account upon my listening to my account information when I call in its saying that I'm a -$33.00 but the email says that I have to apply $13.19 to my account by 5/3/22 at 6:59am or none of my funds will be available for us use I have never had this to happen and I would like some answers I have had the customer service reps and the managers to put me on hold and for 3 hours I had to keep hanging up and calling back because the first manager that I spoke with must had red flagged my account for the other reps to see because again for 3 hours they all kept doing the same thing putting me on hold never to return to the call to explain to me why was this allowed by this company Iples was treated unfairly as a consumer and a customer upon which again I have been with Brinks and Netspend for years now I need some I do have the information from my end I can't up load it for some reason I can email or fax what I have I can be reached at [protected].

NetSpend Pre paid debit card

On 04/22/22 I got my phone stolen and called on 04/26/22 becaue I got and alert on my phone of a tranaction I did not recognize netspend and reported it to them and asked them to cancel my card I told them I was gonna withdraw 800 dollars from my account do to the fact that my card was gonna be closed and I woukd not have an issue with money they never once brpoughtnup transaction of 04/24/2022 even though in reported an error on 04/26/2022 I could not download there app for some reason on old phone so when I got my new phone I saw a bunch of transactions done on my account one in perticular was a transaction that was done on 04/24/2022 for credit in the amount of 1068 why would nbot this be red flagged when I made a cllaim on 04/26/22 I also come to find out when I called to report this on april 3 2022 that my card was still actively open and asked them why they told me they were sorry not to worry this would be resolved I told them that it was my rent money and I needed my money they told me if I wanted to to eligiblefor a provisional credit I would have to send a form with tranactions that were not approved I did that same day called back they told me I would be eligib till april 15 2022 so even though I was pushing it I agreed now on april 12 I was going over finances and discovered that on 04/24/2022 I was taking an uber from home to sun valley ca in time witch this transaction was made I sent this in quickly so we get to april 15 I called in cause I had not seen credit to my account they told me it I would get an email from department that handled this I never did so april 16 I called back and they told me the same thing nddemanded to talk to a supervisor and they told me to hold and just hung up the line till I got online with a getlemen who told me that not to worrry that he had seen that my credit was being processsed and I woukld have it by midnight I was ok so didnt worry saturday no credit again my, landlord on my but for rent and nothing from netspend monday I gegt a notice that therer was no error seeen on my account even though I sent them proof of me being on uber during tranasction I am now living in my car with my kids cause I got evicted I did not make these transactions that total 1900 there were many errors on setspend behalf and alot of misleading customer service I cant talk to department because they tell me there is no way to contact them

Desired outcome: i would like you guys to get phone recordings and my money back to see that i am not lieing this WAS NOT DOMNE BY ME AND I NEDD MY MONEY BACK AND WANT THEM TO PAY FOR MY MOVE IN PAY

NetSpend Locked account

I was at the ATM and all the sudden my card stopped working. Now I'm getting kicked out of my home because I can't use my card to access my account. I call in and they say sure to suspicious activity my account is locked and I have to send in a photo id and social security card and proof of address. I just had to get my card replaced due to my wallet being stolen and now my local social security office is closed due to pandemic and getting my new card will take 6-8 weeks and I can't get a photo id without it. So I can't even get to use my account because of so called suspicious activity. I have used NetSpend for years and my disability check is direct deposited into the account. There was nothing suspicious about using an ATM. I am so angry with this company right now. I am going to be calling my lawyer at 8am and I am going to be filing a lawsuit because I am losing my home.

NetSpend Dispute with netspend claim number: [protected]

I have been a NetSpend customer for many years and was happy overall. On January 29,2022 my account was hacked at an ATM with bank of America. My card was in my presence and I was at home. I filed a dispute and had to wait 10 days for a refund to my account. When I inquire about what happened they would not go into details for security.

I opened up a different account after the first incident because my card was block from the 1st fraudulent incident and I needed a card to access what ever funds that was left on the card the hackers could not steal.

Again on April 08 2023 another incident where the hackers stole $586.00 from an ATM at at a 7ELEVEN from a new NetSpend account. NetSpend is allowing the SCAMMERS and thieves to steal or access my money, leaving me once again financially destitute. It is all over the news and social media pertaining to scams at 7ELEVEN stores in different parts of the country.

The most appalling part is that NetSpend is the customer service. NetSpend spend asked for 10 business days for the results of the dispute. Here it is 10 Business days and NetSpend cannot update about my hard earn funds. I called and spoke with so many people, just to be told they are awaiting from a response from their dispute team. I asked to speak with a representative from their dispute team to be told they do not have access to transfer to the dispute department or a Escalation Manager. WOW! I NEVER HAVE HAD SO MUCH HORRIBLE SERVICE.

I want NetSpend to refund my money back asap. This is the only update I obtained by NetSpend.

NetSpend I received a card in someone else's name

In April 2022, I received a card addressed to someone else at my address who I have never heard of. I am concerned about identity theft.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response to looking into this matter. I have tried to contact the company several times and have not been able to reach an actual attendant.

NetSpend Debit card

NetSpend closed my account due to suspicious activity approximately first week in February up 2022. My direct deposit paycheck of approximately $2,000 was just loaded. I didn't use the card several times that morning already and went to use it again and it was declined. I called them which is generally at least an hour to an hour and a half long phone call, and then for me the account was closed nothing I could do about it and I would have a check in 7 to 10 days. It's been almost 3 months my credit is ruined I have made approximately 50 calls to them trying to get my money back. How it goes is they asked me a series of questions to prove its me I answered 99% of them but they keep going till they stump you. I had I think for NetSpend cards and one of their security questions is when did you open the card? I have four I don't remember so you take a guess on the year and as soon as you give them a wrong answer they have to hang up and you have to call back and start over for another hour or hour and a half. So I get that question right eventually then the next set of questions ask me what was the last three deposits? And exactly how much was left in the account? Which I don't know these exact answers and I tried to access my online account to give them the answers but of course they have closed it so I have no access to those answers which they full well no. I am in such trouble because of this, I have pleaded and begged for them to give me my money back to no avail. I emailed them a picture of the front and back of my card and every piece of personal information I have. They tell me it can't be done by email I have to talk to a rap on the phone. This has been the most devastating thing that has happened to me ever in my financial history. If they just would have sent the check in 7 to 10 days it would have been bad enough now I'm in dire straits my credit is ruined and my family has been adversely affected by this whole situation. I don't understand how this company can get away with this treatment. I'm literally desperate and in trouble because of this. Please somebody help me

They did exactly the same [censored] to me and after I was evicted lost everything they wouldn't even give me the correct account number so I could change my VA direct deposit so the VA knowingly sent my next check to a closed account which of course got sent back to them and I'm completely [censored]ed

NetSpend Debit card

I purchased the card on the 9th of April 2022 with all my money I kid you not my was locked after 2hrs I gave them my ssn date of birth everything they wantef me to send all the documents such my ssn, I'd, mail with address on it I sent my passport and Verizon bill that wasn't good enough the humiliation I suffered at the stores when my card kept getting declined. I could get the things I needed. It wasnt even 9pm when I tried to call to get help and there office was closed could get no email information on what's going I didn't nothing Im still waiting now. They completely took over my account I didn't do anything suspicious they just took it upon themselves to take over my account.

NetSpend Service and Worst Comapny

I've been a customer for four years, and I spoke to multiple Netspend representatives on the phone for four years. They also verified who I was with my card information and social security number. Not one time did a Netspend representative say they noticed that I had other Netspend accounts under my name and social security number, not even an email. I login into my Netspend account, and I noticed an unauthorized transaction. I clicked on the transaction, but I could not see it, so I called Netspend. I asked about the unauthorized transaction. I was told it was because I had four to five accounts with Netspend under my name and social security number that they had a negative balance. After explaining to the representative multiple times that I only have one account with Netspend, they tried to say that they were my account by repeatedly asking me the same question and saying your accounts were negative. I ask to speak to a manager about the issue. The manager was not helpful at all. Very rude, I tried to explain the problem with zero assistance. They took my funds out of my account without even notifying me about the fraudulent accounts. The worst part is that they ask me to submit a claim on their own mistake. Once I submitted the claim, they closed my account. I had zero access to the account. I did not ask Netspend to close the account. They did that themself. I had funds in my saving, and I don't even know what they did with the funds. My paycheck goes directly to the Netspend account, and they did not even want to explain the service is the worst. There was zero notification from Netspend about the fraud account under my name for four years. The customer service is terrible. The company only cares about the money they make from people, not helping people. I will never do business with Netspend or recommend Netspend to anyone.

I totally agree with you. My story sounds similar to yours. Re: fraudulent activities, multiple accounts and them closing my account. I was a customer for years and never had any issues they complained about. Something is very suspicious with Netspends fraudulent dept. They also all work overseas so I feel strongly they are somehow commiting fraud by closing our accounts and possibly using our personal info. I contacted the main people in Austin to investigate as to why they are doing this to me but they are of no help. Beware of Net spend employees because no telling how many other faithful customers are being told the same thing. Something is so wrong here.
