It cost our family $40, 000 in an attempt to help our addicted son find a solution for his use of drugs. We paid in two increments, #20, 000. to secure a bed, and after detox, an additional $20, 000 until Gulf Coast felt he was ready to leave. They put up with our son, informing us he was a problem during detox. Upon his completion of detox, they asked for the additional $20, 000.we sent them the money. A little bit more than one week after receiving the $20, 000 they threw him out of the program and never informed us our son had been discharged, we found out on our own.They placed him an hotel for only one day, with no money, food and 1500 miles from home offerering no transportation home, although keeping our $20, 000 and refusing us any reimbursement after they discharged him. Our son died one week later of an overdose. To date, they have refused any reimbursement. They lied about their recovery percentage, which was the main reason for choosen them, they never informed us about employment of Scientology, they never gave us a contract to sign. Hung up on us consistently after our son's discharge. Chris Ross and his mother, in my opinion, are incompassionate toward the plight of the hopeful, money is their motivation. They assure us that they would never give up on our son, prior to sending them the money. I will do whatever it takes to expose these people and their company who, in my opinion, take advantage of the troubled who want help for their loveones.Whatever it costs, I'm prepared financially, to follow through in memory of my son. What help were they except to make $40, 000. on the back of our labor. Horrible company, their only motivation is money. For the sake of your loved one, avoid this company.
