MultiChoice Africa / DSTV I recharge and it's still showing disconnected.

I subscribed my DStv yanga not confam before expiring and the amout sent to me was paid and today being 10/11/2021. It has disconnected me .I will need it to be resolved. I have been subscriping for DStv yanga in nigeria and now I suddenly see DStv confam which I don't know how it got their .please resolve this for me.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Payment

last month I called the customer service querying my services being upgrade without my consent, I was told that it was a reward upgrade and they will downgrade my services to compact, when I made a call my services were already suspended because I had made no payment by then.

after my downgrade was done, they switched on my services with no payment done. Now I want to pay my due payment multi choice say I MUT PAY 965.

Is it my fault that they switched on my services without my consent.

I am not owing multi choice, I want to pay my normal R519 that I am aware of.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Subscription

On 8 October 2021 the self service portal via WhatsApp indicated that I need to pay R95 to have services reconnected which I paid but never got reconnected. Called on the 11 October customer service agent advised that the R95 that was paid was initially for extra subscription days as it was due to be switched off on the 30th. Agent than advised on that very same day the 11 October that if I pay R190 my services will be reconnected which I then paid on 24 October only to get a sms the next day advising that I need to pay R314.85 by 31 October to avoid disconnection I then called on the 28 October to clarify sms as u couldn't understand why I got the sms. Spoke to Mameli agent advised that the quote I got on 11 October was as of the 11 Oct til 31 Oct however the agent never advised me of a timeframe for the quote. I requested to speak to a manager and agent advised that she can arrange a call back as manager was not available to speak. I'm still awaiting a call back and currently my services was disconnected. I feel that my time is just being wasted by this company and would like to he compensated.

Desired outcome: Reconnection for correct timeframe as payment was made on 24 Oct as agent did not advised that R190 quote was as of 11 Oct till 31 Oct

My services was disconnected on 3 November Wednesday and was advised to pay R205 which I did via my banking app on 6 November Fri was told Wii take 24 hours but nothing was done, then sent them proof of payment and still waiting to be connected today 9 November Tue, how long does it take to reflect on their bank account. I have made over 6 calls to them and no help, tell to wait,

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV My debit order did not go through even though I had funds in my account, now you just suspended my account!!!

I have been a dstv subscriber for the last 20 years and never missed a payment. This month, my debit order did not go through even though there were funds in my account.

I contacted multichoice who advised that they will connect my service and double debit me, they connected the service but 5 days later suspended the service again.
It seems multichoice does not know what they are doing, their staff are not trained to manage customer complaints and queries.

I find it very disturbing that a double debit was to be done on the 20th november 2021, however now my service is suspended again!

Why should I be a loyal customer to multichoice?
Please reconnect my service if you want me to continue being a customer.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Service by agent to activate additional decoders and upgrade package

Good day

I am a business customer of Dstv for a number of years. I Wanted to add on more decoders to my account and also upgrade the package.
The consultants name is Kgomotso Mosito who was not helpful at all.

Instead he just hang quietly on the line.

My current package in total is around R3000, i was increasing because of upgrade new price would be around R6000 a month. Do the maths. Doesnt DSTV need more customers like me giving them double the business per month.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Connections and services

Month of October 2021 dating back September 2021. My reference number is [protected], I took a holiday package which from time to time I send WhatsApp messages even o a single day I have enjoyed the value of money with multichoice. The package 295, yesterday I got an sms to pay 595( can someone explain).

On a mothly basis 31 of each services my services gets terminated without any notifications which not so sure why( If I can get an explanation to that, )

I have been getting a raw deal with Multichoice, today I requested that my services gets switched, nothing was done, instead am being asked to add services. I don't need new services, am ok with the package I took.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV Customer Service

I am continuously dealing with incompetent call centre agents, who cannot sort out my problem for the past 2 weeks. Each time they promise to call me back, and that never happens, leave alone making hold and hold and hold when I call the call centre. I requested to speak to a manager or supervisor, but no one responds or comes to the line.
I have a very good mind of cancelling my DSTV immediately because of the pathetic service and incompetent staff.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Service and resolving my problem

I phoned several times over a period of three months, to get my problems resolved, but after lots of promises and more promises that I would be phoned back, nothing happened, and/or the phone has been dropped on me after 15 to 20 minutes wait.

It seems that nobody gets my details linked to my packet (now dstv streaming) which makes my TV load most of the time I want to watch.

Did a speedtest, live chat, Wattsapp, phoned several nr... with no result. It is discusting to me how pore your employees are informed, some where fantastic and told exactly where the problem was, but still without result because what they explained wasn't followed up.

I have been phoned buy a lady about selling me a decoder including instalation for R 899, which I consider in the hope my problem will be solved, but she never phoned back.

So a very unhappy customer

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Online order never received

On 18 September 2021 I ordered 2 decoders on the DSTV website, an explora ultra for R1999 and an explora 3b for R999. R2998 went of my credit card immediately but I received no sales order number. Initially mydstv account said the orders were placed. When I did not receive them and checked on my online dstv account again it said I had no ourstanding orders. Numerous calls and emails and online chats with various helpdesk agents. All said they would escalate query, one said it was escalated to second line, one said technical department had sorted matter out and decoders were now at couriers. They did not say which couriers or supply me with a number to track with the couriers. No couriers ever called although helpdesk claimed couriers tried to deliver. I suspect fraud on DSTV website.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Not getting the service that was promised

Good day
My name is Mr SIYABULELA LEON PUPULU ID number [protected].
I am an account holder. I've using DSTV old model decoder for 8years and I just received my Explora ultra decoder 6days ago on the 24month price lock deal. The deal says it includes free installation and free access fee. I haven't been able to use my PVR function since I got it and when I contact multichoice they said I should pay the access fee of R105 but then I told them the deal said free access fee, then they said Its because my old model decoder is still active and now I should pay R236. I told them the agent that helped me on the telephone during the deal said I should just ask the installer to contact multichoice to deactivate my old model decoder and there won't be any additional fees. The installer called them in front on to deactivate my old model decoder but they never did. They say they are both active. I said it's inside the box in my garage where I keep un useful things. Then the lady said she just deactivate the old model decoder and I must just pay R31.50
Now asking why should a customer (me) should pay for their simple mistake? Cause if they had deactivate the old decoder 6days ago where we asked to, I would had to pay anything.
Now their simple mistake is costing me money and on top I'm not getting any services. Services which was promised.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Customer service

I am having a problem with the customer service on the DSTV they are sending me from pillar to post with no help I tried to explain my problem them, they just say my problem will be solved in 15 minutes, they put me on hold for more than 10 minutes. my problem is I want them to pair my decoder to my smart card only, but still. I have spent a lot of airtime more than R200 trying to get help from them, as if as I'm not paying. I have a problem with my extra view decoder I went to the shop and now they gave me a new decoder with my old smart card they don't want to pair it I don't know why please help me it's been 3 days now.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Rewards and service

We have been allocated the incorrect points for about 3 months now. I have been in contact with the Twitter team as well as the complaints team with no resolution. My issue has been escalated since July 25, 2021 and I still have no answers. No one can give me a correct calculation and when they do, I get different versions of the make up of my points. We have lost out on a lot of stuff we could have been participating in since then, and the teams are struggling to give satisfactory information regarding my issue.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Ultra explora

My decocer was installed yesterday. I have the premium package. Certain channels are blocked. After spending hours on the phone last night and this morning resetting the decoder etc. with the customer care service some of the channels are still blocked.

I was told now that I have to get the installer out to come and check why these channels are blocked which could be at my own cost.

Surely this is not how this works?

Desired outcome: A decoder that works providing me with the viewing I am suppose to get on a premium package. No blocked channels.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Price log

I am not happy at all you are over charging me and your customer service people are not well trained since they cant help me at all, they are promising me to get one of their team leaders to call me back but I never get any calls from them. I am always calling and holding for 15 minutes hoping to speak to the team leaders that don't even care about the customers.
You will have to improve your service otherwise you will lose customers.
I have paid r1000 since I am on price log and my contract is based on paying r999 but now every month they are over charging me which is the thing that is so unfair.
They are telling me so many things that are understandable and I cant pay more since my contract say I will be paying r999 not more.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Reconnection of dstv / payments

HI

I would like to lodge an urgent complaint about the service I receive on 02 October 2021. I have been a loyal client of DSTV for over 30 years. I have not missed a payment.

When you app came into play I would log onto the app and see what needs to pay and pay via the APP. Now my dstv cant be switched on as you are advising me that I am in arrears.

This is not possible as I pay according to the app every month - I had my dstv put off for the month of september now I want to put it back on and I cant.

I spent 4 hours on the 2nd October on the phone at my costs to try and resolve and yet I am still not sorted with my problem.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Rugby channel 211

Hi Complaints Board, I just want to lodge my absolute dissatisfaction about the South Africa dstv rugby channel 211 when the Springboks were playing against the all blacks on Saturday the 2/10/2021 at 12:00. We were watching the game until the end when the final whistle blows. Just after the final whistle this rugby channel show some advertisements and then just after that the channel switch over to other rugby, what a disgrace. What has happened to the commentators that speak for about 30 minutes after the game to give their view of the rugby match between the springboks and all blacks? Every time in the past after the springboks have played, the commentators have spoken about the game and gave their view, but not today. This is an absolute disgrace that dstv disrespect their rugby supporters. For many years I have paid my dstv premium but thinking of cancel my dstv subscription. Why is the rugby channel their, dstv can at least respect their SA rugby supporters by showing the 30 minutes of the commentators review after the match as well. What an absolute disgrace.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV Account in deceased name

I have informed Dstv of the passing of my late mother in whose name the account is registered. I was told that I can not cancel the subscription, as she apparently had a contract in place with them. I have requested a copy of the said contract to which I was told it was a telephonic contract and there are no signed documents. I requested a copy of the call and was informed that they do not have access to the calls, thus not being able to supply me with a copy and that I would have to visit a multichoice branch to access the recording.
I was told that the only 2 choices I have are to keep the contract in the deceased name and keep paying the account or pay R3500 odd to get off the contract. I told the lady to get stuffed as keeping the contract in a dead person's name is called fraud, and that I did not have the contract with them and that the person they had the alleged contract/agreement with is no longer alive. They then proceeded to cut the subcription with immediate effect and told me that the decoder is now blocked until I have paid the R3500. Wich, I said it's fine and they can send someone to fetch the decoder as I will not pay the R3500. This morning I received a notification from my bank that R3143.87 was paid from my account to M-Choice. I have not given permission for this amount and this is clearly a criminal act.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV Installer Complaint

As family, we installed a new DSTV in Butterworth- Teko campus of King Hintsa College where my wife is working. We used approved DSTV installer called Emma Electronics at 2 Sauer Street, Butterworth, Eastern Cape.
After installation, receiption was a problem and we arleted installer who indicated that he was in East London and would attend on his return, that was beginning of August but he never pitched up till todate.
I called him yesterday but seemed to prioritize new money that queries of his work.
I tried to call him today agian and is not picking up his calls hence I am resorting to this complaint
