Mr. Cooper their mortgage practices, and false promises.

I was told by Mr. Cooper if I chose to do a modification on my mortgage it would get me current on my loan. I was originally 2 months behind and couldn't refy because of credit issues so I was told if I modify I would become current and it wouldn't show up as late on my credit. I then started the process they told me not to pay right away and the modification would start soon. 3 months later they told me to start paying a lower amount. Less 50 dollars than originally. So I did. Modification went through and now my credit says I haven't played my mortgage in 8 months and I owe them 8000 dollars and I'm in forecloser. But the assure me that will change but they told me this is how it was done and it will say current. Now they say the original person lied and it will say it's current but it will also say I was recently 8 months behind. But I was making payments but they now say that won't change. What do I do now?

You need to review your trial payment plan agreement and see what it says about reporting to credit, if anything. Unfortunately, if you were behind on your mortgage, they will report it as such. Any time someone tells you not to make a payment - be very cautious. They may have said that they couldn't take your payment because it was past due and another payment had become due (you owed two payments). It's a possibility, but I don't know for sure. The good news is that late payments come off your credit history in about two years. It sucks that it is on there, and you should definitely contact the CFPB and file a complaint if you think they did something wrong, but continuing to make your payments on time will make those old, late payments fall off your credit report. You can file a complaint online with the CFPB though if you think they were dishonest or if they made a mistake that they aren't wanting to fix. You can also dispute the late payments with the major credit bureaus.

Mr. Cooper mortgage company acted unethically

(email sent to mrcooper on 051819)
1. Earlier this year (030919) we contacted mrcooper to get information re an escrow for property taxes.
2. We were told we would receive escrow paperwork in the mail to review and sign. Didn't happen.
3. We contacted you again about the paperwork and were then told that our taxes would be paid. But still no answer to our repeated request for paperwork to review beforehand. Why?
4. We have yet to receive the promised paperwork.
5. Then in april our monthly payment went from 837 per month to 1275 per month without notice or paperwork or advance notice. Outrageous! That's an increase of $400+ a month. We paid it to avoid the late charge as we didn't have time to negotiate that.
6. Please opt us out of this ridiculous escrow feature that we did not approve. Return our monthly payments to 837. We are contacting our attorney in the meantime until this is rectified.
Mc did not handle this matter well at all. They were unscrupulous. It would have been more cost effective for us to get a loan to pay our taxes!
We have lived here for 15 years paying our property taxes ourselves without an escrow.

You said that you've been paying your taxes on your own for 15 years. So was your initial request to MC to set up an escrow account and have the taxes paid out of it?

Mr. Cooper bad business practices

Unless I don't understand the meaning of the 15 day grace period for paying my mortgage I take issue with Mr. Cooper representatives constantly calling me if my mortgage payment isn't paid on the first of the month especially after I schedule the payments before the grace period ends. During the grace period if payment isn't made they continue to call but if the call goes to voicemail an extremely loud noise/message is recorded for a couple of minutes. I consider this a bad business practice and a forceful tactic.

Mr. Cooper mortgage company

Nationstar mr. Cooper keep sending me statements on different amounts owed on my property I am not being treated fairly. When applying for a modification the representatives of nationstar mr. Cooper gave me false information during the trial. Because of the false information the trial was denied. I tried to go through NACA after that for a modification. Mr. Cooper granted me a never trial. At the end of the trial, the modification that they offered me was not fair and not of any help to me.Please I need somebody's help

Mr. Cooper loan modification

My husband and I were in the process of doing a loan modification. This had been going on since March. Nationstar would purposely take their time responding to what information was missing and additional information that was needed! Not at any time during the entire month of March and April did anyone say anything was going on with the account other than UTC was in loan modification status! When I did get them all of the information they still chose to foreclose on my home, even though you were in the middle of the process and I even called in and spoke with a lady on April the 6 at nationstar who told me that there was nothing on my account, that they cannot and will not do anything regarding selling our home because we are in the middle of the loan modification process. I am currently going to nation star and requesting that recording from 04/06/2019. I also asked the lady on the 6th of April if she saw anything on our account and she stated no. That will also be on the recording. I am trying to pursue getting an attorney because they are messing with our livelihood! It's not funny how they can tell you one thing and then turn around and do another even if it's against the law! Now our home has been is on an Auction.com website. I also have recordings from two different representatives named Ashley and Jason that started my home couldn't be sold based on what information they saw on file. Who do I contact to get a law suit started?

Mr. Cooper mortgage loan services/no help when we were scammed

We lost our home at 355 Hunters Crossing Way, Bowling Green, KY 42104 to Fikret Avdic on April 8, 2018.

This is what happened:
On Oct. 2011 we purchased the home with our lender being Bank of America. In Sept. 2012 we were told that it had been sold to Nationstar Mortgage. It took months for it to show up in their computer system. In March 2014, Kent lost his job with Fruit of the Loom due to cut backs. We immediately notified Nationstar and was told that if we were not 3 months behind there was nothing they could do to help us. We got further behind and the calls began daily, hourly, and constant. Kent finally got a job in June 2014 but would be making 20, 000 dollars less a year than he was making at the former job. He was even having to drive 130 miles round trip and we explained all this to the loss mitigation people and instead of making our mortgage payment affordable they made it so high we never could afford it again. They began sending letters regarding foreclosure and we looked to the internet in Nov. 2016 as we thought we had found a company that would help us keep our home. It was called The Westwood Legal. We paid them $4, 000 to help us. In May 2017, they sent us an Assignment of Mortgage and told us to go get it notarized and file with the Warren County Clerks office and we would now be making our payments to West Holdings and Acquisitions. They said our payments would be $982.72 monthly which was affordable and we really thought that was a help. We soon realized in January 2018 that they were a scam and contacted Nationstar Mortgage and tried to get them to help us and call the sale of our home off. They gave us to Ong Lee, who said she was turning us over to Jered Ede with HH Law and all he wanted was our information to use in a lawsuit against West H & A, Patrick Soria. They did nothing to help us. We were made to move out on April 8, 2018, a Sunday at that. We were homeless for 3 weeks. I need to mention Cheryl is disabled and we were also caring for our disabled daughter. She has since moved out and I feel it was because she felt scared because we didn't have anywhere to go at the time we were kicked out. I need to let you know that if the rules had been followed on the Master Commissioner site, that Fikret Avdic would not have been able to go through with the purchase because it took him over 100 days to close on the property. Why is it that he can threaten that he will file a lawsuit against everyone for discrimination and everyone bowing down to him yet, we are US citizens and could not get proper help needed to stay in our home.
We want our home back! We want money for damages to us mentally and time loss from work for Kent, we want all monies reimbursed for all the rent we have paid this year, storage fees, and we want our home back free and clear with no chance that we will ever be kicked out again. If I am correct there is a 3-5 year period that a foreclosure can be revoked and we are asking that it be revoked immediately.
If we don't get want is due us we will also be filing a wrongful foreclosure suit against all parties involved. Don't look like to me since you knew about the scam that you could have allowed the foreclosure to continue? Did you all split the $90K that was gained from the sale of our home?
Feel free to contact us as we will gladly give you more information as necessary. We just want JUSTICE SERVED AND ALL PARTIES INVOLVED TO BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

Sincerely,

Kent and Cheryl Mann

Mr. Cooper how we doing?

I applied for a refi with cooper on my rental.. Which is currently held by cooper! I have been a client for 13 years. I just wanted to fix the rate and reduce payment. So I submit documents, go thru the motions, they have the property appraised. It all seems to be going well. I dont hear from them. I call to find out when we are closing. They tell me they cant fund the loan because the complex has too many rentals. Well gee, why didnt they tell me that at the beginning? Because they dont know what they are doing!
I have called 3 times in 2 days, no response.
Dont deal with these people! I dont think they are crooks, just incompetent.

Mr. Cooper foreclosure practice

They bought out my loan and in my original loan I paid my own taxes and homeowners' insurance. I always used my tax refund. The forced it on me and when my payment went from $900 to $1300.00 it became a struggle. I requested it to be removed as I did not ask nor won't it on my payments. I was turned down. As I struggled I finally had all the money to catch up my payments and I was told that night, they were sorry they could not accept my payment I would have to speak with the foreclosure attorney, he would be in touch. I was told I was offered a loan modification and since I didn't respond in time It was no longer available. I ask how that was offered they said by email! YOU send something that important by EMAIL! SPAM MAIL ever cross your mind! Of course, and when you offered that I could apply again for the modification, I never applied the 1st time! However, I got an offer, but when I applied for it I was turned down. I tried to get the Chapter 13 route and they wanted to raise my payment to 1800.00 Now if I can't make $1300? The crazy is that the court was only going to send Nationstar $250.00 a month and they was accepting! I was willing to pay my $900 and NO ONE WOULD TALK TO ME! I got letters of who was my account specialist every other week it changed. SO, to no avail I waited to work this out and no such luck! My disabled 76-year stroke victim mother and my disabled self now have to figure out where we will go with our horses and dogs and cats along with 20 years of accumulation of stuff there not counting 20 years, we brought with us when I bought the farm. Along with the lingering memory of my only child who picked this property, was killed on this property. I must now leave it all behind. Isn't there anyone to take a class action lawsuit out and stop this company from ruining lives! WE didn't ask for this when we bought our dream homes this company was forced upon us when they bought out our loans!

Mr. Cooper poor customer service

The website was down for maintenance yesterday and supposed to be up at 10AM today. It's now 7pm CDT. I log in with my saved credentials and get a 404 not found error. The customer service number is NOT listed on the website, but I found it via Google. I called customer service and they are closed.

Mr. Cooper has put up every kind of roadblock to releasing my flood insurance money from escrow. I swear they are making a lot of interest off of people's money this way.

Every time I call Mr. Cooper about the new paperwork requirements, I get transferred around 2-3 times. Frequently the call mysteriously gets dropped during one of these transfers, and I have to call back and start over with a new customer service rep.

My flood insurance settlement came in February 2018. It has been like pulling teeth to get any of the payments, despite having uploaded the correct documents (I call first to make sure I have the correct documents before uploading).

I passed the final inspection October 4, 2018. Still don't have my final payment of over $38, 000.

Mr. Cooper mortgage payments

After our bankruptcy was finished our mortgage was sold to Ocwen. We have always made our mortgage payments on time every month and still do. We started getting harassed by Ocwen about fees, Insurance and property taxes, all of which we pay on our own and on time. Ocwen sold our mortgage to Mr Cooper we were still continually harassed several times a month. We finall have in and paid them a lump sum of $900.00 which they said would bring our mortgage current. Even tho we paid our mortgage every month and on time. The very next month we started getting letters and phone calls we were behind again on our payments. We have tried everything to resolve this but to no avail. Every complaint I have read on here is exactly what we have been going through for years with this company and it's time to take action against them!

Mr. Cooper pulling the plug on hard hit families receiving federal government assistance

PETITION ON CHANGE.ORG

"Stop Nationstar Mortgage (Mr. Cooper) from targeting Federal Home Assistance Programs..."

https://www.change.org/p/federal-bureau-of-investigation-stop-nationstar-mortgage-mr-cooper-from-targeting-federal-home-assistance-programs

Brief Summary:

Please we need to get the WORD out and stop Mortgage Corruption. Nationstar Mortgage dba Mr. Cooper is pulling the PLUG on people getting Federal Funding Assistance, like Keep Your Home California, and then Foreclosing on their homes unlawfully and illegally.

It's easy for them to do! They register with the Federal Government to accept the funds (Participating Servicers) and then they stop accepting the assistance righ in the middle of the funding cycle and without giving YOU and Notice! You get a cancellation letter and a foreclosure notice that will soon follow.

This is a totally fraudulent act against the people of this country and the horrible thing about this is the the Federal Government has a MOU with these predators and it states in the FIRST paragraph, that the can not do this (Stop Accepting) the assistance.

Please help me GATHER signatures to make a class action complaint to the Federal Government and request a CONGRESSIONAL HEARING into this matter.

I went through emotionally mental distress dealing with Mr. COOPER for last 2 years. They discriminated against me as a successor in interest after offering forbearance extensions to the max allowed then denied me as repayment catch-up plan because I was only a successor in interest after they extended the forbearance several times. I applied for the California homeowners relief fund program & was denied because when the fed program contacted Mr. COOPER that said they didn’t recognize me or know who I was when I was confirmed as SII by them over a year & a half prior & their confirmation letter said all future correspondence would be addressed to the estate care of MY NAME & they failed to ever do that so because my name wasn’t on the mortgage statements I was denied by the ca homeowners assistant fund program. Then I was denied a modification & only offeeed a conditional short sale or deed in leu of and I had over 50% equity in the home. They continued to give me the run around I never spoke to a single point of contact there was only a name no direct phone line to reach them only customer service who had no tools to actually help anyone they only looked for notes cleft on account. Then after looking back at statements 9mo the old I see where my homeowners insurance policy that wasn’t renewed cause insurance company rewrote new policy to include my name but I see homeowners insurance was paid then 20 days later the new rewritten policy that was a little cheaper was paid & here it is almost 1year later & they didn’t know they paid 2 homeowners insurance policies for the same period of time but added it to my delinquent balance with the 18months of forbearance & everything else like prop taxes. So they didn’t inquire as to what happened to the first homeowners insurance payment they paid on a policy that didnt renew or know that they paid 2 homeowners insurance polices or paid homeowners insurance 2 times ? Had I not been looking back at statements I wouldn’t have ever known so when I seen this I called my farmers insurance agent & asked so she said she would check & called me back & said there was an over payment check issued & I told her I never received it so she had check reissued & sent to her office where I picked up & I called Mr. COOPER about this asking how could they not know or wonder where payment tgey sent went & I opened ticket online & sent email to VP of customer relations & I finally got a response that they would look into my inquiry & resond back with answer or explanation or finings within 30 days. I told them I wasn’t asking where money is cause I knew since I picked up reissued check by I was clear that I wanted to know how this can happen & they not even know or catch it or follow up on what happened to payment on policy that wasn’t renewed. It has been over 4-5 months which is well past the 39 days & never sent answer or explanation or findings regarding my inquiry. This is by fat Mortgage Servicing neglect & improper handling of escrow account funds. So many more violations they have committed but they continue to do it cause they continue to get away with it. After I applied for loss mitigation the first time every document submitted was rejected many times & I reuploaded over & over the same document & eventually it was accepted. This is obviously due to an automated system process. I had to follow the loss mitigation online in the mortgage acct where when a document was rejected & not clear explanation given & customer support didn’t understand why either & resubmitted everything as well as senior loss mitigation officers. The 2nd time I submitted loss mitigation application after being denied cause I was fed up after pleading & begging for help unsuccessfully I had the same run a round with rejected documents over & over this time it was the applications that were rejected & no one could tell me why cause they didn’t see a reason til I happen to get lucky & speak to a senior loss mitigation officer who pulled up application & said they were blank I said they aren’t showing blank for customer service agents who had resubmitted them a couple times so she put me on hold & when she came back she said yes your right applications are complete we have everything we need but she said they have 2 systems one that customer service uses & the other that customer service don’t have access to & that the applications were showing blank in other system & in my mortgage acct would say rejected & tgen say to submit legable documents. So this would mean it was due to a setting in the one system that displayed pdf files as original downloaded document & didn’t display what was typed in using acrobat reader & this would mean all applications downloaded using their tip & imported to acrobat reader to be completed then uploaded as pdf were all coming up blank so it would have to be an automated process being used for loss mitigation process which is a violation cause common sense would tell someone that everyone isn’t submitting blank applications. It’s not.Customer Services fault even though they seem to be. Incompetent because they are doing a job & are not given the tools or access to properly help or do anything. Mr. Coopers system is broken. I was getting automated calls daily saying they been unable to reach me & to call them but when I call CS didn’t know why they were calling. I could go on from very beginning & id be here for a week typing all the BS I was put through unnecessary BS. I opened 2 cases with Freddy Mac which tge 2nd case is when the case manager got the VP if customer relations involved & she probably thinks her being middleman submitting docs on my behalf solved it but it didn’t she was actually ignored just like the 2 different senior loss mitigation officers who resubmitted everything & all was rejected when I logged in as was the vp of customer relations sk I resubmitted in account a few time after & finally docs were accepted same documents same copy same file that I uploaded 4-10x prior but now they accepted it. It was absolutely ridiculous. I sent a few messages by opening tickets online so I would have proof & I also submitted email to vp of customer relation regarding a few things again so I would have proof. Interest rates were down to 2% Mr. COOPER gave runaround for 2 years & made sure I was denied funding through California homeowners relief fund & after offering forbearance extensions to max allowed they denied a repayment catch-up plan offering only a lump sum or conditional short sale or deed in leu of knowing I am well over 60% vested & the amount owed on loan was about 35%-45% of my homes value. I have now returned modification papers but nothing is recorded at county records & they said they are in process of doing loan assumption so my deceased fathers name will be removed but I am not holding g my breath. I only have my house because I wasn’t gana roll over & play dead for them I fought I was persistent. I believe they knew what they were doing & someone behind the scene was manipulating everything cause I was suddennnly getting calls daily from investors wanting to buy house cash low ball offer & my cell phone only connects to my fathers name on the mr. COOPER serviced mortgage account. When I logged into mortgage acct online $ scroll down it shows how much equity u have in the home & the equity showed double the amount owed on loan is how much equity I had which is like 66% equity they drug out loss mitigation & what a convenient time to finally get a modification after 2 years of the rejecting docs over & over & like being on a hamster wheel & couldn’t get no help from anyone & interest rates are no longer 2% tgey are more than my current rate. They need to be made to pay penalty fees for violations committed to the consumers who have the mortgage loan that they service cause they just had to pay !90 million in class action lawsuit & I believe I seen a lawsuit for over 70 million & they changed their name cause their reputation was so bad but they are still practicing same shady ways & FREDDIE MAC continues to contract with them to service tge loans FREDDIE MAC owns. I just recently got a new single point of contact which I’ve never spoken or been able to speak to any assigned in the past when I really needed help but now they call leave voice mail that they are following up like they can’t see that I just finished.modification so I called the direct ph# she left since they never gave a direct line in past on the main customer service number & the new single point of contact left an invalid phone number not I. Service ss her direct line, what a joke this is. I have documents I’ve saved to back up everything I’m saying. I am waiting for the loan assumption if it ever happens then I plan to file full complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Mr. Cooper website

The website is not loading and i am trying to make my payment, i like electronic records and so that i can see all my payments posted and give extra principal. I do not like dealing with customer service by phone. If it is not up by the end of the day, i will have to just make the payment by phone, but i hate doing that. Get the website back up! Also the mobile app isn't working either.

Mr. Cooper i'm having a hard time finding a way to keep paying off my mortgage. they can't take my payments.

Well I'm the son of one of the most loving, and kindest mother there is. Never complaines about a thing. Until now. We have been paying this mortgage company an outrageous amount of money on a 37000 dollar mortgage she will at the maturity date have paid back 140, 000 dollars. Now talk about taking an old lady to the cleaners. And to make it that much worse they want let her make a payment. They want answer her phone calls. They want talk about the situation to her at all. They did send the sheriff's department to serve her the forclosure papers. But that isn't all there doing. If anyone finds this article interesting please let me know. Thanks for reading.

Mr. Cooper mortgage refinance

eral years ago my wife and myself refinanced our home through nationstar (mr cooper). Nationstar had put the loan as a balloon payment. The balloon payment due this July was $48, 000. After trying to work with Nationstar to refinance the balance they said there was nothing they could do. They are going to take the house. I am going to be 70 in a few months and my wife is 69 this month. My wife and myself do not remember them telling us there was a balloon payment due after several years, which i understand is my fault for not reading the fine print. My complaint against them though is when they wrote the loan knowing my wife and myself were both on disability, had no savings in the bank, no other assets, we lived from month to month. I don't understand how a mortgage company can write a balloon payment, due in several years, to somebody who they knew would have no way of coming up with the $48, 000 in several years. did they think we would hit the lottery? Now I am wondering if there is anything i can do to stop them from taking the house? I wonder if i should hire a lawyer?, though that is expensive to do. Its a shame there are predatory companies out there that will do anything to make money.

Mr. Cooper lending practices

This company opened an escrow account without my knowledge to pay insurance premiums that were already being paid by me. When those payments bounced back to the lender, they kept them and the account open meanwhile using my principal and interest payment to add more to the escrow account. They reported my payments as only partial payments to the credit agencies dropping my credit score about 150 pts. I was never called or contacted during the 6 months this went on. I only found out when I applied for a car loan and they ran my credit. Now they say it will take 10 days just to review the problem. Very shady and dishonest. This error on their part will take me months to fix. Don't use them.

Mr. Cooper mortgage

Hello,
My name is Karen Asch at 434 Buchanan Avenue, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001.
Email: [protected]@hotmail. This is about my property at 913 Egleston Avenue, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001.
Hopefully i don't miss anything third time i am trying to submit, thank you.
I never had a problem with my mortgage when First of America had my mortgage from 2008. First of America worked with me even when i broke my wrist and couldn't work for 6 months. First of America was forced out of Kalamazoo, and my mortgage was sold to Nationstar.
Then the problems started. Nationstar deleted my insurance from the paperwork in the first month.
I fell on a period when drug addicts were in my apartment. It took time for the courts to get them out. I stayed in touch with Nationstar. I wprked 2 to 3 jobs to keep up.
I missed September and October 2017 payments. I sent a payment on November 1, 2017. I kept in touch with nationstar from September 2017 calling them.
On November 1, 2017 when i told Nationstar 510 dollars was on its way and should be there we set up an agreement to pay 1, 150 dollars on December 15, 2017. I sent the 1, 150 through bill pay for December 15, 2017. On December 18, 2017 the money was back in my account so i called Nationstar. Nationstar said they changed the amount to 2, 049 on December 14, 2017. After arguing that that was not legal, we set up an agreement to pay 2, 049 on December 29, 2017 ( my next payday). Nationstar refused payment again changing the amount due on December 28, 2017. Nationstar then told me to do a modification and they would mail me the forms. I completed the modification and sent Nationstar everything. I called Nationstar each time to make sure they recieved it. After the modification i always got a cierra greens voicemail and she never called me back, i had to fight to get an operator. Nationstar claimed they could not process my modification because my senior services paycheck did not have year to date deductions. I faxed them my paystub many times. My boss printed them off 1 for me and marked them.
February got tough with the weather and delivering mail. Nationstar picked my busiest time of year for this. So the end of February i heard nothing and thought everything was set. I called nationstar the first week of March 2018 to be told that they foreclosed on February 15, 2018 that they were tired of messing with the loan and that i should have known that. Tried arguing again to no avail.
I have been to banks, lawyers, etc. Everyone tells me i have a great case and that it should be overturned. But nobody will fight for me because they know how Nationstar lies, cheats, and looses voice recordings.
Nationstar also changed there name to Mr Cooper. I don't want them to steal my house. I feel behind in bills due to the drug addicts but everyone worked with me and everything is caught up in full except Nationstar because they won't be honest.
Thank you for your time.
Please help!
Sincerely
Karen Asch

Mr. Cooper excessive mortgage payoff charges

On march 8, 2018, I wired $228, 052.00 as a mortgage payoff - this was just 8 days after our march 1 regularly scheduled payment had been made and processed. Instead of charging us $187 for 8 days of interest, nationstar charged us $714 for the entire month of march on the entire unpaid balance - 23 extra days interest on funds they had in hand - or $527 overcharge. We have had numerous conversations with them regarding this matter and they refuse to make any changes and/or refund the excessive interest. They maintain there was still a small balance due on the contract which would have no bearing on how the interest was calculated. The remaining balance would have been $527 less if they had only charged for the 8 days they were entitled to. Subsequently, they sent us a payoff quote and I overnight express mailed a cashier's check to them. Later that day, they sent a new payoff quote for $410 more than the first one, maintaining I would once again have to get a cashier's check and overnight mail to them. Subsequently, (more than 2 months later), they have not removed themselves as mortgage payees from the property title and/or insurance policy. They are nothing more than loan sharks! No one should ever do business with this company and/or mrcooper - the name they now do business under.
