Move America — Stay away from this one
I was very disappointed to read the complaint of Mr. Kingsley Nwokeabia on your forum. First, because I am always disappointed to hear of any perceived lack of service on MoveAmerica's part, and second, because the complaint and the way it was phrased is indeed, designed to deceive.
However, it is not MoveAmerica who is engaged in deception, it is Mr. Nowkeabia. A dose of facts is a wonderful thing, and after having spoken to Mr. Nwokeabia, I concluded that his complaint was unfounded and his primary purpose was to obtain a rebate from his legitimate charges. However, to his credit, Mr. Nwokeabia agreed that his charges, including his use of more space than he originally purchased, were correct.
The source of Mr. Nwokeabia's complaint appears to be that, instead of his delivery occurring on April 5th in Phoenix, AZ it in fact took place on April 6th. What Mr. Nwokeabia fails to mention is that the delivery point was changed to Sun Tan Valley, AZ., a distance of some 50 miles from Phoenix, and also failed to notify MoveAmerica of the address change.
So, when our trucker's terminal received the shipment on April 4th expecting to deliver to Phoenix on April 5th, they had to juggle their schedule to deliver to this somewhat remote point which they accomplished on April 6th. Personally, I thought the terminal personnel performed admirably considering the shipment had to be rerouted to a new place, and that the customer hadn't bothered to let us know but only wrote it on the truckers paperwork as it was being picked up.
Also, some delay perhaps was caused by the Nwokeabia's two telephone numbers going unanswered during numerous attempts by the terminal personnel and to contact them, causing the terminal to request additional phone numbers from us, which we did not have. It was only when the Nwokeabia's surfaced in Sun Tan Valley that we were able to verify where they were in fact moving to!
