Motel 6 room

Hello,

I recently stayed at Motel 6 in Des Moines North on 8/19/2017. I thought I would take a moment to tell you how Dissatisfied I was with my stay (if you call it that). I booked through Expedia (Itinerary # [protected]) Confirmation # 4581M18972. Total $120.83 Total Charge (when the sign said $99.00 / night)

Anyhow, Sam (?) (employee of Motel 6) called me on 8/17 to ask if I was still checking in that night. He called around 10 PM and I was already in bed so I called around 7:30am the next morning to confirm my reservation was still booked for Saturday 8/19. He said he was sorry and my reservation was for the 19th.

We checked in around 5 pm on Saturday when we got into town. I walked into the front office with my husband. First thing was it smelled like incense. It was so strong and over bearing. Very bad. I waited for 2 other people in front of me (only 1 employee was behind the counter) as they got extra pillows and extra room keys. Once I went up…the guy gave me the key and told us where to go. We were in Room 217. Upstairs overlooking the pool and parking lot. We asked for an extra pillow and they said they were out.

When were walking to the room we went up the stairs on the side of the building, turned a corner and we happened to see the room next to ours with a few people sitting in there, door propped open and a strange smell coming from the room. We ignored that to go to our room right next door. We walked in and WOW! I have never in my life seen a hotel room like this! We see floor boards torn up, dirt on walls, mold on the trim, dirt in the shower, dirty stained blankets. We immediately started to look for another place to stay but unfortunately for us, the Iowa State Fair was going on (which is why we were there) and there was only one hotel that had availability in Des Moines downtown and it was $332.00 per night. We cannot afford that. I have attached pictures. On the blankets, you can see BLOOD stains, yes…blood. You can also see what kind of hotel they have as nothing was cleaned or disinfected. Plus, look at the bible. The bible…was cut up, mold was growing on it and it had writing using profanity over and over. Disgraceful!

Anyhow, we could not find another place to stay so we tried to suck it up for 1 night…oh no! So we leave to grab dinner and come back to an outdoor party on the first level (below us). Weed, drinking, etc. They were up all night (at least until 3:30 Am when we left) they were screaming, yelling, listening to loud music, and this went on all night! When we came back and walked up the stairs, we walked by our neighbors room and a guy was sitting in the window buck naked smoking something. That is fine, if you want to be naked more power to you but when you stand in the window waiting, that is different)

Anyhow, we could not take it anymore so we left at 3:30 and slept in our truck in a gas station parking lot around the corner. Went back early in the AM to return the room card and the guy said “your receipt will be emailed” and then said “bye”. No thank you for staying or how was everything…just bye. WORST EXPERIENCE AT ANY HOTEL EVER! Motel 6 lost my business forever.

I have email Expedia as well. This was not there doing, but I wanted them to be aware.

I would like someone to get back to me about this. I am very angry and would like to get a refund. It was a terrible experience.

Please get back ASAP.

Motel 6 customer service

I had visited one of your locations this past weekend August [protected]. I stayed at Motel 6 on Edes in Oakland Ca. My past experience was horrible due to customer service. An asian lady short red hair assisted me. Very rude and short with me about checking in. i had originally booked you through a website they quoted me the price i would pay for staying with you guys she charged me a different price and didn't advise me she just charged my card. I later realized this when i checked my statement online, i went back and asked why STILL rude she couldn't explain to me why and was hesitant on her answer. I would like to be refunded or reimbursed in some way and would like for the location to be re-evaluated or this specific individual in particular!

Motel 6 I was an employee at your peterborough ontario location, I was wrongfully let go after booking on for an extra shift.

I was asked to come in for a shift when i was not scheduled but had explained to the manager i was babysitting the evening before and stated i clearly wasnt sure if i could make it, i didn't make it and was let go for not showing up.
While employed at this location the staff were rude and disrespectful to other staff members including myself the staff were re making beds after the previous customers left with the same sheets, staff including the manager would swear and make fun of customers behind their backs belittiling them. I was going to contact the labour board with my complaint but would rather let people know about this location. I am now looking for work. Thank Motel 6

Motel 6 bug infested room poor customer service

Within ten minutes of being there I saw my first bug (live) crawling across the floor. I understand it's summer and continued to be until I had seen the ninth bug, one of which had crawled across the bed. I called the front desk at approximately 10PM and informed them of the issue. They offered to switch my rooms and let me speak with a manager who would be arriving at 9AM the next day. At this time I declined and decided to speak with the manager in the morning. Once the lights were off, the bugs went wild and when multiple bugs crossed my pillow, and over my body, I'm done. I called the front desk to request to change rooms at 3AM. I have a corporate job and have to be up early. I have my dog with me and have to have him wait in the car while I go to the front desk and get my new key. She offered me 14 DOLLARS off the room rate which was laughable to me at the time so I politely declined. She stayed the manager would be in at nine. I let my work know I would be coming a little late so I could speak with the manager at 9am. She did move me to a room that was much cleaner and I did not see any bugs 20 minutes ago I walk in to the front office yet again. Three people are standing at the desk and do not greet me. I smile and ask for the manager. They looked at me like I was nuts and said the manager wouldn't be in today. When I expressed I was told she would be in at 9 it changed to she's not in yet. When I explained my issue only one person spoke up, denying the bug issue and accusing me of smoking in the room. After such a sleepless and disgusting night in this hotel, I COULD NOT believe this is the response I was met with such rudeness. The room was infested with bugs, I have pictures. It is unacceptable to see over 20 live bugs in one room in one night. I work in the customer service industry and am just shocked. I like this hotel! I've stayed here before multiple times and have had a great experience! I just wanted to be compensated for my terrible and gross night. Thanks!

Motel 6 housekeeping and maintenance

These Are Pictures that I sent to corp. office of bad maintenance and house keeping. They moved my from one room to another and A/C still didn't work it was worst than the first one. This happened 8/19/17. and today i called guest relations. they have all the pertinent info. to proof this exist. Will return me a phone call of what management is going to do. please note i have 44 yrs. of maintenance with the gov. and i don't like to be lied to by the employees. Will post this photo on social media to show that motel 6 is not taken care of and if two room look like that, how many more are there? the location is 7950 South PanAm Expressway San Antonio, TX, 78224 Manger is Hitu Patel.

Motel 6 rooms/ shower/ ac

want to make you aware of the problems with our rooms, both our acs are not even cooling our rooms. my shower floor has cracks in it. both rooms either have dirty sheets or sheets that are very stained up.
we are in rooms 203-204 on 08/19/2017
we would love to have rooms with clean sheets, acs that would cool the rooms at night (they are cool, but not sleepable cool)
I can get pics if needed of sheets and shower floors/ no way to get a pic of the ac!

Motel 6 housekeeping

When we first arrived our room was not ready. They asked us to sit in the waiting area. Then the housekeepers didn't clean the room. They took the sheets off the bed and didn't put any on. They also never put toilet paper and towels or wash clothes. This has been the worst experience I have ever had here. Please contact me as soon as possible. [protected]

Motel 6 the service

First I accidentally took someone car keys wth mine I. The counter when I noticed what I did I brung them back hours later after I gave key back the hotel front desk man called me a theif in front of the camera and customer I'm getting a lawyer if I get no respond asap then my toilet was stopped up room wasn't cleaned all day so I had to plunge the toilet then the front desk guy says if u call me again asking for cleaner I'm calling police on u u get out tonight he said I'm the only one working I only called him2 times 4 towels n for cleaner or toilet brush motel 6 on flat shoals rd in ga.. ny num is [protected]

Motel 6 overcharge on my room

The room was stinky and bed was uncomfortable. Room was not all that clean. A man approached my husband in the parking lot at the motel 6 begging for money as we were carrying in suitcases. It was quite frightening. Note this: I always get a paper check out bill from the front desk when leaving to make sure the charges are correct. My check out bill was 49.41 paid in full> showed a zero balance. This is the amount agreed on when I rented the room. I thought all was ok and left.. Then I got my visa bill in the mail and was billed for 57.79 by motel 6. I called the motel 6 manager in shreveport and he gave me a run around and said they didn't rent rooms for 49.41 even though I told him I have my receipt showing what I was charged and I paid 49.41 paid in full. He was hateful and unrelenting and gave me excuses. He acted like I was trying to cheat him... When the truth is... He was cheating me... It is only 8.38 difference,., but imagine if they did that to everyone that rented a room and you didn't notice.! I am disputing the bill thru my visa credit card. Dont deal with these people.. I don't believe they are honest... Beware.

Motel 6 customer service

Well I'm very disappointed don't ever know if I will stay again but on 08/17/17 me and husband planned in staying at motel 6 in Harrisburg Pike in PA but they kicked my husband out of parking lot while he was waiting for me to get off work to pay for our hotel! I have stayed here many times before and I am just so disappointed that they couldn't wait for me to get off work that my husband couldn't wait for me there!

Motel 6 rude, disrespectful treatment and bad room accommodation

I recently registered at a Motel 6 and requested a non smoking room. I went to the room and after about an hour I couldn't take it anymore. The room reeked of cigarette smoke covered in some kind of air freshener. I went office to complain and request a refund and they refused saying I had been there too long. The gave me a different room but the situation was the same. The smell was horrendous. I again asked for a refund and they again refused. I called corporate headquarters who advised me the only one capable of issuing a refund was the Motel manager. I have attempted to call the manager repeatedly for the last two days only to be told the manager was either not in or was too busy to talk me. The last call the office clerk herself gave me the brush off telling me she didn't have the time for me either. I again called the corporate office and they too brushed me off telling they couldn't do anything. I will never spend another red cent at a Motel 6 even if I have to spend three times as much elsewhere. I have never been treated with such disrespect by anyone and it will never happen again.

Motel 6 housekeeping and owners

We have been staying here for 2 months due to my husbands work I was told that I could get clean sheets once a week and so I do so, but I have a one year old son who has had two accidents on the sheets since we have been here. The two house keepers have told the owners that I have them clean my sheets everyday which is not true and if I had a way to clean the sheets myself I would. The owner Manny and his wife has called our room to tell us that they won't clean our sheets it's our responsibility if I need them cleaned. I feel like it should not be a problem to get clean sheets once a week or have them washed on the two occasions in which my son had an accident. They have also complained about my husbands mud tracks on the sidewalk but has not complained to anyone else staying here that has left mud tracks on the sidewalk. My husband works outside and cannot help that his boots get muddy. I have personally swept the sidewalk off to keep it clean the best I can, but they still complain to us. I don't feel like the customer service we have received has been acceptable considering I have tried my best to help clean and keep things nice for them. In general the house keepers and the owners are rude and not friendly. I would appreciate if we could be treated like the other customers staying here.

Motel 6 room 226 at motel 6 kelso

Upon checking in we were informed no non smoking rooms were available. Ok fine. I'm handicapped and needed a room on bottom floor. No rooms available below. Ok fine. We drive around to our room area. Stairs. No elevator for handicap access. What? No elevator. I have to climb the stairs. Halfway up one stair is tilted. Completely throws me off balance. Ok fine. I'm tired. I just want a shower and to sleep. Nope. We find a long hair on the towels that are hanging above the toilet. Take it to the office - back down the stairs - and get a replacement - back up the stairs. Finally get into the shower and there is another hair on the towel you put in front of the shower door. Exasperated. Took a picture. Open shower and see white calcium marks on the shower floor as well as the indention where you place shower gel or soap. Take more pictures. Shower has absolutely no pressure. Soap is still in my hair as I write this. Very unhappy with this motel. Seriously thought about finding another but it's almost midnight here and I'm tired. I pull back the covers to get in. Immediately I see three drops of a reddish substance appearing to be blood on the sheet.
Put my clothes back on and crawled into this bed anyway. I'm tired, crying, in pain from too many stairs and frankly appalled at the conditions of this motel room.
I hope someone reads this and tries to make this experience at your motel right for me.

Motel 6 a likely theft by a staff member, plus subsequent rudeness.

I stayed in this motel on June 29, 2017. Two hours after leaving the motel I realized I had left my nightgown on the back of the bathroom door. I phoned the hotel and they said the room hadn't been cleaned yet, so they asked me to call that evening. I did so. No sign of the nightgown. They asked me to call the next day. I did so. Nothing was in Lost and Found, no sign of the nightgown. They asked me to call after the Fourth of July rush so they could search around, and I did so. I called on July 7 or 8, and spoke with Chris. She told me my nightgown was not in the hotel, not in anyone's locker and not in Lost and Found. Apparently my nightgown just walked off all by itself. This would not be such an issue were it not for two things: the gown had great sentimental value to me, as it was given to me by my mother, who recently passed. Second, when I was on the phone with Chris and I suggested that the room cleaner had a new nightgown now, Chris announced that the cleaner was only 21 years old and "wouldn't be interested in my nightgown." I said I guessed it was not tasteful enough for a young person? Chris said I was being rude and she hung up in my ear. Wow. I was so surprised. Such poor customer service. Chris obviously had seen my nightgown somewhere to make this determination... wonder who took it home? It was not only of sentimental value to me, it was a rather expensive gown. This absolutely ruined my stay at their motel. I've stayed at Motel 6 for years and will continue to do so, but not that one. Watch your things if you do stay there. Nothing more valuable than perhaps a pencil should be left in your room. I would be very interested to hear from the manager of this motel. Perhaps he/she will comment below my review, although I doubt it. The motel is totally 100% at fault, with a dishonest staff member working for them. What manager would want to admit that?

This Motel 6 was in Roseburg, Oregon. It's the only Motel 6 in that city.

Motel 6 motel 6 located at 2063 pipestone, benton harbor, mi 49022 in room #308

Good Morning,

I stayed at a Motel 6 located at 2063 Pipestone, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 in room #308 on 21 July 2017.

My name is Bonnita McKinney and I paid for the room. The room was listed under Herbert Bass (his Niece reserved the room for me since I was visiting and not from the area).

The bath tub was dirty, dead bugs on the floor and hair (maybe animal) was on the bed. I took pictures of one of the bugs and the tub, the phone could not pick up the hair.

Also, in room #307 for at least two hours approximately between the hours of 2-3 am those people were slamming the door, cursing and yelling.

Staying at this Motel 6 was NOT a pleasant stay. I would like my money sent to me and not put back on the card that was used to reserve the room because I paid cash to that individual.

I went to South Haven for a 65th Anniversary and like I mentioned before I am not from that area. I am from Kansas City, MO and was told by Lawanna Shelton (she is Herbert Bass’ niece)

That a credit card was needed to reserve the room, she had the credit card and all I had was money so she reserved the room. I am not trying to scam you, I am attaching the pictures that I took.

I would like a voucher for a couple days stay anywhere in the U. S.

That Motel 6 needs a lot more than paint! It needs someone that cares and will spend money to fix those units up.

Motel 6 all around poor experience

Booked and paid on expedia.
On arrival the clerk said we didn't have a reservation. Supplied res # & conf #... Still nothing. 30/40 minutes on the phone with expedia later... Worked it out. Got key and went to the room #611. First... No towels. 2nd... No tv remote. 3rd... No water in the shower. 4th... Bed appeared to be made but on turn down... Dirty sheets and pillowcases (mascarra looking) went to the front desk. No clean sheets or pillowcases available. Really? The clerk changed our room to #613. Next morning... No water again. Call front desk. They said... Do you still have a key for #611? Yes I do. Do you mind just using that room they said. I had a flight to catch so I agreed to go. When I used the key card it worked but someone had occupied the room after 11:30pm when I changed rooms. Really? Did they really put someone in that room after all the problems I had? But yes they did. I apologized for trying to enter to the occupants. After returning to my room I was able to let the water run for a couple minute and it got to a bearable pressure to take a cold shower and get on to the airport. Just returned from my trip saturday and saw one of your tv commercials and that reminded me that I was supposed to email you. Totally dissappointing stay in one of your hotels. All things considered... I feel a complete refund would be in order. As well as an opology from the mgmt in atlanta. Thanks, perry

I complaint on Saturday night. I had to leave on Sunday morning due to me trying to talk to the manager about the dog poop that was under the bed for too days along with us getting bit up by simmes bugs. At 10 I dropping something on the floor and when I beans down to get it and then I seen how we have been there in the room for two days and I seen the dog poop that has been there since we got there. And when I tried to address it with the manager he just walked away as if I wasn't trying to talk to him . There was dog hair all over the floor. The floor was completely dirty. I just wanna make you guys aware of this al well. Here are some photos I took before I left. And we don't own any pets . And this was in motel 6 in Lakeland and there always trying to make the guest think there crazy but I have proof. I also showed them the photos before I checked out

Motel 6 multiple health hazards found in room

I'm am highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service and the quality of the room that was rented out to me on august 12, 2017 I checked into the motel 6 on 1108 N hey 360 Grand Prairie tx 75050 I was given room number 202 as I entered my room I went to the restroom right away and above the right corner of the Celining above the shower I noticed black mold so I then exit the restroom where I see a cockroach on the floor I go to gather my things and see another cockroach along with ants in the bed. I go to the front desk and speak with the attendant who doesn't seem a bit concerned with the pictures I showed her nor that I was upset disgusted and clearly that is a health hazard. I have never in my life been this dissatisfied with the quality of service from the motel 6 franchise chain.

Motel 6 motel 6 customer service and facilities

Motel 6 customer service and facilities I booked a room through Booking.com for Saturday Aug 6th at Motel 6 Seattle Sea-Tac Airport South Confirmation number: [protected] PIN Code: 7450 $117.86 Room 137 We Arrived at 430 (well past check in time) to a small crowded lobby full of angry customers that had been waiting for a long time and it took over 30 minutes to get through the line to get key. Room had unmade bed and dirty shower, cigarette holes in the bed cover of the one made bed. A dog had obviously chewed on the bed. The room was Hot, musty and Stunk of cigarettes. Went to the area where the housekeepers were working and informed them that our room was not finished being cleaned, she looked at it and acknowledged it but spoke very little English. She never came back. We waited for almost an hour. Tried to call front desk to complain and was held on hold, hung up on, and held on hold for another 10 minutes. When I finally reached the front desk I was told the hospitality mgr would come to the room. We waited 45 minutes and the same woman who was checking people in AND driving the shuttle came to the door. Obviously understaffed! She said she could move us but we were already annoyed and just wanted the bed made and shower cleaned while we used the pool and she said thanks, that was fine. We came back from using the pool over an hour later (now 730 pm) and the room was still in shambles. Went to the housekeeper area and a different employee followed me back to the room so I could show her (couldn't communicate in English well) and demanded that she had cleaned the room herself and we were lying. She argued with me for several minutes until I told her to give me the cleaning products myself and I would clean the room. I was fuming, tired, annoyed and disgusted by this time, having walked past the bags of trash everywhere, swam in the dirty pool with shabby mismatched furniture, and found a floating island of hair in the pool. If it weren't so late in the day and we weren't so exhausted and hungry we would have left. We finally got the shower "cleaned" (angrily wiped but not really cleaned) and a blanket delivered to the room. To add insult to injury, after taking a post pool shower in the dirty shower, the sink backed up and the toilet seat was dangerously broken and slid out from under you when you sat on it. I have never stayed in any place this out of control, this run down, and this poorly run. As a huge chain I thought that it would have to be decent, despite the low ratings. Instead it was the worst lodging experience I have ever had. This hotel is understaffed, under trained and disorganized. And there was definitely prostitution happening in the parking lot. All night long, sketchy dealings out there. It was horrifying. I should have left and slept in my car. I can't believe we paid almost $120 for the 12 or so disgusting hours we endured there, and I would very much like you to do somethin

Motel 6 hospitality

Krystal Bowers, the hotel manager at the Motel 6 in Spartanburg is very rude and unprofessional. I watched her be rude to whom I'm thinking that was a former employee asking about her check being short and she told the employee to leave because she wasn't supposed to be on the premises because she quit. The employee asked for her hour form because she never signed it and she told the employee she wasn't giving her S**T. The employee preceded to leave and Krystal called her a stupid B***H. This is very unprofessional, I have stayed here for awhile and watched her be rude to a lot of guests including myself. She needs to be talked to about her attitude and the way she treat the employees and guest. Her attitude has ran off plenty of guests.

Motel 6 booked 2 rooms paid for 1 room in cash and was charged for both rooms on my credit card

I booked 2 rooms and the first room was for another couple who checked in before me and this room was in her name. We arrived and checked in later, the only thing staff. Asked me for was my drivers license, never signed any forms, never asked how I wanted to pay for my room..upon check out my room was payed by my credit card and so was the other room and it was also payed for in cash...I never authorized the second room to be paid for on my credit card.I talked to the staff who told me too bad we can refund your money in 5-10 business days...I never authorized my credit card to be used to pay for this room...never signed any form, never received a receipt. I will be putting it out on social media and stopping payment.. orient your staff better! Terrible customer service by Joslin who made the errors Nicole who didn't care about it and manager Erik Hutchison who pretty much said too bad, do what you have to do...
