Mister MoneyScam and theft

I applied for a loan and on 17/03/2009 paid a fee of £48.50 they said i have already been excepted by a lender and will have the details in the post in 5/10 working days. That was 5 weeks ago now and everytime i phone to enquire all i get told is that yes they have been posted out or every day when i phone there is no answer but surely for a company not to answer it is a little bit strange? I asked them if i was 100% getting this loan because it was to catch up on my car payments and to pay for my wedding i was told 100% YES. Since i cannot get hold of them my car is going to be repossessed and it looks like i will have to cancel the wedding until next year.

1st of all. You should never pay a fee for a damn loan. Case closed.

The information in the complaint is misleading. The complaint is likely for a company in the UK and not the Mister Money chain of Brick and Mortar stores in the United States. Moreover, in the complaint above the U.S. Mister Money website is incorrectly shown. Mister Money in the U.S. does not take "fee" money for loans and does not work with outside lenders.

I find it inappropriate that complaints aren't better vetted. Not screening complaints, even at meager levels, makes it possible to denigrate a good company by omission, misdirection, with incorrect or inaccurate information, etc...

I was the Director of Operations for Mister Money (aka Mister Money USA) in the U.S. throughout 2009 and I can share unequivocally that this post is in error and it is neither the U.S. "Mister Money", nor is the website address above associated with the complaint. is NOT associated with this complaint.

I am no longer with Mister Money and my only allegiance is to the truth. The truth is that a good company is being bruised by the complaint.
