Midas car service and breaks

I had a service and 4 breaks replaced at midas midlands perth late last year...i went away and wasnt happy as my car was worse then before i went in..i work 7 days a week and had a holiday booked so i thought to sort it when i got back.i came back and it was so bad that my car is making clicking sounds breaks are squeaky and i have to push hard in the accelerator to get up to speed..its idoling aswell..
I called them back and they booked a time to look at it at no price and told me it just needed lubing and that the guy took it for a drive and its fine..he also said that there maybe tiny cracks..i thought well there new breaks how can that be? Im a young girl i dont know really much so i left and called my brother whose a mechanic and he said thats not right..over time the car has gotten so much worse that when i turn corners or stop at a light then go again it just starts clicking really loud..the breaks are bad i have to push hard down on them way before i should..i spent 800 dollars on 4 breaks a flush and service..iv always gone with midas have full service history and never had a problem..this has been the worst work iv ever had done and its dangerous to drive..very unhappy and will never go back to using the company...i want it fixed at no price, i do not expect a refund at all i just want it fixed asap..
My car has always been up to date with services and hace never had an issue and now i feel like the work done from midas midland will leave me spending more then needed because of there lack of professionalism...
Looking forward to hearing back from head office to sort this asap.

Midas tried to let them change my break pads location on rodney parham rd, little rock, ar

Midas on Rodney Parham, Little Rock
I came there (Midas )a little after 8 in the morning, operation hours show 7:30 to 6:00.
Checked in with a guy who is mechanic because there were no one on the counter. Told them my break pads needs to replaced and I have a warranty on those pads. 1 hour 30 minutes later they said your break pads and rotor needs to be replaced those will cost you that much said verbally. I again told them I have warranty on those pads, he said ( Blake Dotson) I can't see it asking me to pay whole amount . And later he pretended he found history and price dropped down 80 dolloars. In order to work done, do they try to skim customers ? I asked them how long it will take change required parts, he said it will take another 3-4 hours, and his words ( that's life) come on I came there 8 in the morning done by 3 afternoon. Really disappointed on that location.

Midas made an appointment on 3/30/18 for 4/19/18 at midas bald hill road warwick ri

We made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to get tire rods and struts replaced on my 2011 Ford Edge. Not only was the information not in the computer from our previous visit (we had to provide estimate), but we were told when we got back there 2 hours after dropping it off (we were told it would take 1.5-2hrs), that they didn't have the parts and they were never ordered. They never even bothered to call us to tell us that the parts weren't there, they just told us when we got back that we would have to wait 5 hrs for the parts to come in. We made plans to get this done before our vacation in Vermont so it would be a safe drive, and we should not have to reschedule our plans, especially considering that we work 7 days a week and these three days are our only days off together in the next few months. We told them we would have to reschedule, and take more time off work to get this done, despite already wasting two hours of our time. We now have to take a different, less reliable car up to Vermont. Overall, we are very disappointed with Midas as of right now, and won't be returning after getting this problem fixed.

Midas brake job

On February 19th I had a brake job done on my Toyota Camry at the Midas at 11000 W IH10, San Antonio, Texas. Afterwards the wheels made a LOT of noise when moving. From the sound it sounded as if the mechanic had put the wheels on dry. We live 20 miles away in the country so it isn't easy to get in. I drove the car as little as possible and returned 3/8/18. While they didn't explain the problem they did "adjust" the job without charge. That resolved most of the noise, but now the wheels are making a slight noise when moving. To me, it sounds as if the wheel bearings were damaged. This issue should have been resolved when I returned the last time and I don't trust them to replace the damaged wheel bearings.

Midas faulty work

I dropped of my RV via a tow truck due to Midas agreeing to replace my carburator (was not on vehicle hence the tow) and install a fuel strainer. After a week of no communucation and a call to them to please go over the vehicle while they had it, still no call, over a week later I call to find out my vehicle WILL NOT START AT ALL! this RV was in running condition when left in the car of this facility. I have quite a few witnesses to that. This shop needs to fix what they broke or I will take this to civil court.

Midas upstream oxygen sensor at midas in norwalk ca

I came in to get my upstream oxygen sensor fixed because I was worried and I trusted that midas would give me great service instead they took advantage of a girl who knew nothing about cars and failed to tell me that because my mileage falls way under 150, 000 miles that it still falls under factory warranty and I can get it done for free at mitsubishi. Instead of genuinely trying to help the customer they took advantage of me. They could have used their expertise and years of knowledge to do good be kind and send me in the right direction instead of taking my money for something that didn't need to be paid for. I will never service my car at midas ever again. I can't trust they'll do good by the customer. This is horrible and i'll make sure to tell everyone to never go to midas.

Midas customer service and new tire is horrible

On January 12th, 2018 I went to Midas 147 west chelten ave, Philadelphia pa 19144 for oil change and basic check at 730 am I waited while 2 hours with no explanation for my turn. When my car pulled in. Mechanical didn't start right away. About 30 minutes finally he started work on my car. Around 1015 am I told front desk that I have to be work at noon and not planning to stay ther all day. That when he started work on my car quick and told me that I had bubble tire need new one. I paid new tires with warranty last June 2017 still not cover one year free warranty plus 3 years. I had to paid $40 for new one. Finally they gave me my car back at 1115 am. Follow two days the new tire flat on me. I return to Midas yesterday ([protected]) at 1 pm. Front sdesk said she will check it out right away. I was sat and waiting. I thought she went out to pull car in but no. Failed to nofity me that i have to waiting for my turn which will be about 2 hours. I said no. I am not going stay and waiting. I am going home to do errands. I left key with them them call me at 4 pm . They didnt call me after 4 pm. I called to found out thay they just pulled my car in shop now while we are speaking on phone. She rold me they found nail on other tire. And will reseal new tire. I went to pick my car up. They told me no nails on tires at all.

Next day as [protected] 1055 am. I getting ready for working, I went check around my car. Same new tire flats. I drove to Midas from my house to there to show them. Several mechanics saw flat tire. They laughed and blame each othet for not do their part. I was so angry and frustrated with them for not do their job to correct it. I told them to change spare in my trunk since I can't afford get off from my job for their mistakes. It hadn't resolve yet. I am going call them at 4 pm during my lunch break.

Midas unethical behaviour and dishonesty

Second time visiting this store for service and I felt discrimination, unethical behaviour, dishonesty and felt I was overcharge with the service I received. I'm a 75 year old black woman from Miami, Fl. Been a loyal customer since I lived in Miami but relocated to St. Pete, FL and my experiences with the Midas store on 34 Street and 2 Ave North hasn't been the same. I was charged over a $1000 for rotary, brakes and 2 tires just a week ago which I felt overcharged at that time! Then had another problem today with my battery, I returned to the store for a quote and diagnosis to confirm it was the battery. I was told it was not the battery but a alternator problem and it would be another $1000 to get it repaired! When I revealed that it was diagnosis by someone else to be a battery problem only they changed their diagnosis and replaced just replaced the battery only! Wow! I will no longer go to that store for repairs ever! Don't trust them!

Midas brake work

Sometime in October of this year I had brakes and rotors done at the store located in Ewing New Jersey. I have been back at least 2 times complaining of grinding and squealing noises. Each time they told me that tere was nothing wrong. I am at the store located in East Windsor New Jersey. The say that the Ewing store has once again used inferior parts and it's going to cost e 3250. 00 to fix the problems caused by using I ferior parts. How do I get reimbursed for this? I will no longer take my car to or
recomed Midas if this is not resolved. I have spent over 3000 at Midas over the Las 2 years. By the way the same thing happened with the initial brake job done over a year ago. Except the Midas on route 1 in Edison replaced the pads for free.

Midas service

I am extremely upset that my daughter was obviously close to being scammed at the Edwardsville, Illinois location. She is a college student away from home. Having always told our kids to be careful using mechanics out of town, as they can charge more or take advantage of younger customers. Her heater was not working and insisted on taking it to Midas before driving it over an hour to come home for the weekend. The mechanic at Midas said she had a bad leak and it would be $900 to fix, as well as telling her not to drive it. He even poured "something" in somewhere in her engine, telling her to watch under her car as it came immediately pouring out under her car. We told her we would come get her and bring the car home to our own mechanic. We drove it home just fine, our mechanic found No leaks anywhere, and fixed her heater for $68. Midas was absolutely trying to scam my daughter very blatantly. It was a good lesson for her, but I feel strongly that this location should be looked into. Thank you. Midas oil change

How is it possible that I can go to Midas' website and find a coupon to use at a location. The location of the store is actually printed on the coupon but when I get there to use it, the store manager tells me oh we don't honor those at this location with the address printed on the coupon. I asked him how is that possible since the location is on the couponn. I even explained to him that I have used a coupon at this location before. It was just through the mail coupons. He says those we honor but not from the website. Please explain to me or try to let me know how does that make any since?

Even with the address of the location listed on the coupon, the "only available at participating locations" allows them to reject it.

Midas midas/whole visit!!

Walked into Midas fairview heights, IL where I stood for 20 min before the manager got off her Facebook to greet me. She approached me and seems like she had an attitude and very unprofessionally dressed with sweat pants and a shirt with her breast showing. I wanted my rotors turned. I went to step outside to smoke a cigarette and overhead an employee saying to another employee that dawn I guess the lady upfront, told him to scuff the rotors up with sandpaper and just say he turned them. He told the other employee that he was not going to do something like that and cannot believe she told him to do that. I contiinued to easedrop and they talked about how she charges customers for items that are not needed. I thank the honest employee for doing the job but I will never take my vehicle back there. I have heard on the internet through various sites that she has many complaints and they have been loosing business and even read complaints from employees that they are being treated unfairly and illegally. Midas used to be much different where did they go?

Took me daughters Outback in to get a alignment done-because it was pulling to the right-told then I just put tire rods on the car and it might need a ball joint-they said ok-so after paying them 135.00 and getting in the car-it was worse making a horrible noise and still pulling to the right and the one tire was balancing-so I took it to another shop and they told my both front axles are broke and the car should have been driven-to dangerous-so as not fixing the alignment the broke both front axles-so that cost me 621.00 -so how do you let someone drive of your lot like that and how can you bring in a car and let it leave worse-I’m not happy and need to talk to someone and I will never go there again

Midas forgotten wheel lock socket

On October 31st I took my Nissan Quest into the Midas location at 400 North Central Expressway Richardson, TX 75080 to have work done on my rear brakes. The repairs went fine and so far no problems, however as I had gotten to work (21 miles away)I realized that I was not given back my wheel lock socket. I immediately called the shop and the manager confirmed that the lock socket was on the mechanics workbench. Knowing that if I had the misfortune of getting a flat that day or the next that I would have no way to remove the tire without the socket. In order to get to the shop before they closed for the day I had to take off from work 45 minutes early and make my way through heavy Halloween traffic at that hour. I had to swing by my daughters daycare first not knowing how long I would be stuck in the stop and go traffic before being able to get to the shop before it closed.
This detour took me 11 miles out of my way plus another 1 1/2 hours on the road just to collect a wheel lock socket that should have been given to me upon completion of the word. Then from your shop to my home took an additional hour due to the fact that it was now rush hour and 6 miles out of my way before getting home.
So to recap, I had to take off 45 minutes from work, spent a total of 2 1/2 hours additional to my normal journey all because a mechanic failed to give me back a socket that was my only way to change a tire if I got a flat.
Over the years I have spent a lot of money with Midas both in Connecticut where I use to live and now in Dallas. Not only me, but my wife with her car and even my eldest daughter, we have been coming to Midas for years.
For the extra time I had to spend and the additional expense, I feel that Midas should compensate me for my trouble. I was told by the manage that I should replace my serpentine belt as soon as possible, and quoted me the price of $99.18 for parts and labor. this was on estimate #[protected], I think in fairness to me I should have this done with no charge, this in my opinion is a small compensation for a huge inconvenience on my part.

Midas inspections

I brought in my car fir inspection. Several hours later I came back. Midas said needed air filter it was very dirty and back rotors will need to be changed but still passed. I advised them to change air filter. I texted my husband to advise. He called back and told them air filter not needed he will do it himself, so they took it out. The next day one of my tires was flat. My husband put air in it. Today 24 hours later tire still inflated. That leads us to believe Midas tampered with the tire because they were mad about the air filter.

About a month prior we brought our other car in for inspection, 2015 Ford Focus. The inspection passed however the next day the battery was dead. There was absolutely nothing left on that could have caused this. Two cars, 2 inspections and car problems less than 24 hours after inspection. This is more than a coincidence.

Midas rack and pinion

The worst shop ever I had a problem with the rack and pinion and i paid over a thousand for it And then they bent it over as the manager was saying i bent it so now the car was never the same in fact worse so i took it back to them to check it and when they looked at it they said you had a different calipers each side and when i showed them it was just a plastic wrapped around the calipers no one said anything and until now I cannot even turn the steering because its hit the chissis and the fender from the inside so basically they made it worst since you cant even turn the car a full turn

Midas oil change

I bring my Mazda 2001 to a oil change on 10/06/2017 and my car spill the oil the next morning so I tow my car to Midas Gainesville on 10/07/2017 andd they charge me again with $29
My car still spilled the oil and then don’t know why
I pay two consecutive days $29 each for my oil change and no warranty
I need my money back or my car fixed

Midas complaint about my replacement starter

My wife took her car today to Midas because her starter was just spinning and not connecting. She is not car or parts savvy. Well they had it done quickly and showed me the invoice when i got home. A total of $427.11. I know for a fact a starter does not cost $279.99, and a Re manufactured Starter at that. This Starter was not even New. I have a couple friends that work for Autozone and the other at O'reillys. Price for a New Starter $150 and Re manufactured at $130. So how is a Re manufactured Starter going rate at $279.99? I am enraged over this crap.. Is this what Midas is all about? I feel i should get some sort of refund or a huge discount on my next visit to Midas cause this price was almost twice the cost of a Brand New Starter..

Midas customer service/owner

This complaint has been a long time coming. I used to be a loyal midas customer until I had to deal with the owner of this franchised store.in late may of this year, I took my vehicle in to this location for servicing. I had been there before and was initially impressed with them. Boy, did things change quickly.
The location was busy and I watched as people came and went, appointments quickly filling up. The person running the front (Who I later found out is the owner) seemed a bit gruff but hey, it’s a busy day. As it got busier, he got progressively ruder – especially to females. Two women came in for a free brake check and he was very short with them. They waited for their vehicle and they struck up a conversation with me stating they had noticed how unfriendly the owner was in his dealings with me and others. Come to find out, they were bona fide mystery shoppers assessing his shop! Wow.
At one point, the owner was actually yelling at people that he had no openings left – sadly, three elderly people who were shocked and a terrorized.
Finally, the two women’s car was finished. They asked the owner for a print-out of their brake inspection. He told them no, he had no report and that they were done. He was aggressive with them. Knowing he was being evaluated, I actually tried to help and asked him why they couldn’t have a report. He said he had no way of providing one and that they were done. I tried to get one of the women to ask him again, but he walked off, ignoring her.
I was appalled now and wanted to talk to the owner (I didn’t know it was this man running the show) and stood up to go to the office door near the front counter. When I tried to talk to him, he answered a call instead so I tried to speak with an employee in the back office. He interrupted his call and yelled at me to not speak to his employee, slamming the office door and said how dare you and who did you think you are to try and talk to anyone! He went ballistic, unhinged, yelling that he was the owner. I tried to explain that I wanted to speak with him about customer service and he continued to yell at me that how dare you try to speak to his employee and how dare you interfere with his customer. It was traumatic. I almost called the police because I felt so threatened and intimidated. I told him I was going to file a complaint with corporate midas and he said go ahead, I love them. I sat in shock in the waiting room, the only person there while I contacted the website for midas. I couldn't go anywhere because they were still working on my car. He finally told me my car was done and I told him I would never come back or go to midas again. He yelled I don't want you to come back and go anywhere but here (His store). I asked him how he would feel if he was treated like this and he shouted I don't care what you think and again, how dare you talk to his employees. I paid and ran out of the office, waiting outside for my car. He slunk around the corner and yelled I had my tech stay through lunch to help you. You should be grateful. I told the tech he should not work for this person and drove off. I have never seen anything like this - not ever. Please, call midas corporate if you've had to deal with this man.

I did complain to midas corporate and was told since he is a franchise owner, he can do as he pleases with regards to whom he will provide service. Really? Okay, if this is the kind of person you want representing midas, your choice. They said it was a "he said, she said"... No, it's called no customer care. The owner is abusive and a bully. This is not okay.

Midas service overcharge

My name is Marie Owens this is my 8th attempt and definitely not my last attempt to report my horrible experience with your company. On June 29th at 7:45AM I took my car to your store location walking distance from my job located at 2936 N. State Rd. 7 Margate, Fl. 33063 because my ABS, check engine light came on. The mechanic there name Dino said he would check it and call me back. I received a call back from him saying bad new my engine was gone andit would cost me over $3000 for a new one but had to put $1295.00 down for them to order it. I walked over and gave credit card info for the $1295.00. He stated he would order it but being that it was June 29th, and 4th of July was almost here I wouldnt get my car nack until July 6th. I agreed because I had no choice and left. The following day June 30th Dino called me back and said it wasnt the engine but the AC compressor and a hose, so it should be cheaper.I said ok. On July 6th I called to see if my car would be ready he said they were still working on it. I received a call later that afternoon to pick up my car.I went to pick up the car and paid $1990.98. As I was driving it home it stalled and the check engine light came on twice. I called the office and spoke and explained to the receptionist Lynne what happened she said its normal sometimes that happens with the wires and to bring it back tomorrow. Bright and early the next morning it stalled again finally I took it back and told Dino I notice my heater also was now not working(because im anemic and get cold easily and frequently turn my heater on) He ask that I leave it again sobhe could recheck it. an hour later he calls me and say he found another problem involving the AC and heat system I informed him both my AC/heat was fine before I brought it to him and I requestedbto speak w/a manager because too much stuff was not adding on such as my car stalling right after you've fixed it for over$3000.00. He gave me the owners name and number. I spoke with Ron Katzand explained what had occurred he said they eould fix it but it would cost an additional $800 and was willing to split the cost with me..(I said to him I dont think its right Ive paid all this money already and this is an issue that I feel was caused by the mechanic and I hope youre not over charging and not fixing my car properly because Im a woman)he said thats all he could do. So left with a car that was stalling I said yes but couldnt pay the full $400 up front he said pay $100 when I pick it up and make payments the next 3 months. After this I actually went to a different mechanic shop on 8/5/17 because I still felt the charges for the work done was not right. The mechanic check the services, labors and actual dealership parts and found that your shop charged me twice as much as I should have been charged. I took a print out to the shop Dino looked at it compared to theirs and said every shop is allowed to have their own prices. He then said he would show it to the owner. Two days later the owner Ron called me and said that every shop can charge what the feel fit. I have no problem paying fir services being rendered but I do have a problem being over charged because you feel I know nothing about cars.It just is not right. We as customers come to places like Midas for help with issuses pertaining to our means of transportation. I am a single mom with three kids and should not be taken advantage of because you think its ok and can get away with it. I've called the customer sevice line over 6 times since 8/8/17 using the same reference #4138805 and was told everytime that my message would he expedited and expect a response with 2 business days. I understand that you guys are a big corporation, but you cant forget the customers that brings business to you. Thank You.

Midas v. a state inspection.

This is the most unorganized place I've been to setting here over an hour for a state inspection. Virginia state law says it's a first come first serve with inspections meanwhile I was skipped in line after waiting 35 mins just to get checked in. Not even a sorry or nothing just we will get your car in as soon as he's done with the car he us with which is who skipped me. Never again will I come here for any type of service.
