Menards 4x8 lattice

Went to the Fremont store to purchase Lattice advertised on line for $9.99 located some on the top shelf of the area where lattice is displayed and a sign directly underneath that said $9.99 had an employee get 3 sheets down for us, went to check out and they rang up $15.97 a service manager came and rang the back for a price check they checked a couple of upc numbers and nothing rang up as $9.99 we told them that there was a sign that stated $9.99 underneath the items that we had and the service person said well go back to that area the manager will meet you back there. Went to the area, the signage is gone and no manager to be found. What kind of place is this, we are remodeling a home for our elderly family members and Fremont Menards is the only place in miles to purchase items needed. Well no more, we have spent thousands of dollars with you and this [censored] tops the cake! We walked out and will not step foot in there again. Don't have time for stupid games, we just wanted the lattice. Seriously Pissed Off!
The manager on duty in front looked like a deer in head lights and did nothing but lose a good customer.

Menards service in door department and management

Myself and my 2 daughters went to menards to get a storm door. Walked every aisle and looked for assistance. No one was anywhere to be found. Myself and my daughters loaded a 32x80 storm door on our own, and bought a handle. Stopped and asked someone on the way out and got the answer I dont know about that department. Called the manager braydon and his response was i'm sorry we are getting ready to close. No assistance at all. Got home only to find I didn't need a door handle because it came with one. Would've been nice to know so I have to make another 25 minute trip to chillicothe to return the $40 handle which could've been avoided had the proper staff been there to help. Wasn't even offered a discount or anything for my trouble.

Menards customer service

I want to file a major complaint with my Menard's experience today.
After purchasing $234 worth of goods and as I was walking out, some Hispanic Menard's employee stops me and grabs a bundle (about 10) of small plastic bags that I had placed inside the cart then accuses me of stealing the bags...
I told her I grabbed the bundle of plastic bags because the 4 Water Softener bags were extremely dirty and wet.
She then tells me she can only give me just 1 small bag then walks away from me...
Whatever happened to "Customer Service"?  Should Menard's be charging the customers for these plastic bags?
What I received that moment was a mockery, humiliation, and insult...
I then took my cart and went straight to "Returns" area near the Entrance and returned everything that was in the cart.
I have always utilized and supported this Menard's store, but after today's experience, definitely NOT worth it.
As a proof, I have attached the Receipts and this store can check the video surveillance and review on video.
This scene happened near the Water Softener area.
I am 55 year old Asian male with glasses, and I was wearing a blue Air Force t-shirt and grey shorts.
Maybe I was being targeted because I looked like a bum?
Still, this was not right...

Menards encap new lawn kit

Two weeks after submitting complaint form (as requested by Menards) I still have not heard anything from them concerning my issue with the Encap Fast Acting New Lawn Kit. The product did not perform as advertised and now I am out $50 dollars in grass seed, plus excessive water bill and many hours of labor. How long do I have to wait to at least hear that they know of my concerns?

Menards mastercraft door

I ordered an exterior door with a single bore only and it came with the jamb side bored for a deadbolt and the only thing they will offer is to send me a strike plate which I explained only makes the mistake more obvious they explained that they make all jambs with both cut out so apparently since they make it wrong on purpose it's my problem absolutely disappointed in Menards and MasterCraft which by the way are owned by the same parent company

Menards mastercraft doors

I have warning for anyone who is thinking of buying these doors. RUN dont walk away from them! They are the absolute worst quality, POS I've ever see in my life! I made the mistake of buying a new front and back door for my house. Custom ordered, cost was nearly $2000 for both doors. Upon installing them I have broken both doors around lock mechanism because they are not cut out for latches or locks that have an inset bezel around them. The doors are so thin that when I tried to cut the lock bezel in, I cracked the surrounding cheap a$$ pine wood. I paid extra money for the metal clad doors. Well they are nothing more than a pine door, covered in sheet metal no thicker than a piece of paper. Trash, garbage, junk. If you install them you better have a loaded gun and a good guard dog. If I lean hard on them, the door will literally splinter like matchsticks. And the frame? HA! It's PLASTIC! What a pile of garbage!

Menards Patio door

Found a patio door in the damage items for sale at Menards. Sales man took number off door punched it in said door was $300 said okay . I'll pay for this now and pick up tomorrow since store was closing in 20 mins. He said door usually listed for $1500 so let him get his manager. Manager punches # in and says he was unsure but expect to pay double $600 for the door, they would call next day to let me know. I call the Wisconsin main branch try to tell them about it they direct me back to Big Rapids manager who was upset that I called main branch now he says door is $950. I tell him they should clearly have it marked. Told a friend what happen they go to the store door still not marked they tell him $900 same day, $50 less.

Menards management

I just quit Menards I am a 37 years experienced welder. The hurt my back and I started get back
Well I built a tool that would have saved my back and. It took ten minutes . So I show the big bosses and I get did you make this a work? said yes it took ten mins and I paid for the material. Next morning I get written up for it 4 points . And then I knew what they were planning. So if they want a fight I can take care of myself. Now I read the OSHA laws and find 30 violations some are major. And go to OSHA for three days after work building a case and they surprised fleet north. Osha is still writing the paperwork up 6 weeks later. And it's coming to light soon.
Ps Google the strange life of john Menard. It answers alot of questions.

Menards customer service & false advertising

I wanted to purchase a portable folding hammock, with a price listed for $39.99. There were 4 identical portable folding hammocks stacked together, with $39.99 being the most expensive priced item in the area. The manager said she would not honor the price, because the workers put ALL FOUR in the wrong spot. They were nicely stacked on the shelf, not sloppily put there like someone was in a rush. I find it rude and wrong that the manager of this department wouldn't give me the price that was listed for this item. I have a picture for proof of the item!

Menards incorrect pricing/manager

On August 5 2019, I purchased 4 sheets of 2 x 8 plywood based on the price of 12.39 on the shelf above the plywood (attached). When I got home I realized they charged me 21.79. I talked to a manager to explain the wrong ticket above the plywood and their response was that there was nothing they could do and they dont have any control over how things are marked in the store. They are frigging managers and they have no control over how things are marked? I was at least expecting something like we apologize for the confusion and we'll have someone correct the tag. No wonder there is no place on their website for customer reviews. I will be returning what I bought. Menards has lost a customer for good.

Menards unethical, unprofessional behavior - bigotry

Two employees, one who works in Millwork and is named Greg, were talking back and forth to each other while assisting my husband and I. They were making homophobic jokes about each other. They were laughing it up without any consideration for how they were on the clock and how there comments would reflect on their employer. No consideration for how inappropriate and insensitive their jokes were. I could go on to say that talking about sexuality could be construed as sexual harassment. I could say that this was a case of hate speech. I'm having a hard time trying to explain why this was wrong on SO MANY LEVELS. It seems so obvious to me.
And, of course, when trying to find the correct email to send my complaint to, I was unable to find what I needed, so I guess I'll just put this out to all relevant sites.

Menards cedar lumber

I recently purchased (25) 5 3/4 ×6×10 and (25) 5 3/4 ×6x16 cedar wood decking on 7/18/19 at your 2627 W Townline Rd location in Peoria Il. I've attached copy of receipt for your convenience. My husband and I went to this location on Monday July 26, 2019 to retrieve lumber. When we entered the lumber area we ask for one of the employees to help us place lumber into van. Half way through the 16' we noticed the wood was used and some were damaged (cut). He continued to put wood in van (wood that was good) and we left. Note: Day we picked up lumber we also purchased (12) 2x8x12 wood and decking nails. In total we spent well over $1, 000.
Once we realized wood was damaged I called Menards and complained. I was told to bring wood back and it will be replaced. That was not an option as we already had to reserve van to transport, take time off from work, to replace deck. I explained that to management and basically was told well nothing else can be done. I was so upset I decided I was going to complain to corporate. Instead my husband suggested maybe reaching out to them and seeing If they could allow us to use there truck to return product and get replacement or if they could deliver. I offered both suggestions to the general manager and was told they will not deliver and the truck bed was only 8 ft. long. I proceeded to explain the whole situation was an inconvenience to me and how I can't believe Menards would sell damaged wood to a customer who placed the order weeks in advance. He basically started to blame me for selecting the bad wood. Which I replied his employee placed in my vehicle. He made me so upset, I asked for his business card and left. Now we have to take more time off from work and rearrange our schedule with carpenter to complete job. The whole ordeal has upset me so bad, I will never shop menards again. I'd also like for a refund for half of my purchase seeing no one, not even the corporate employee I called wanted to help make my situation right. Corporate basically told me to go online and file complaint. When I asked if there was someone who could help me immediately, I was told no. It's corporate policy to file all complaints online or by mail.

Menards truck rental

It took nearly 30- mins for Menards supervisor to checkout the truck. At the end charged me for additional 10-mins with much argument and heated discussion with supervisor.

They are running short on employees, since I could see the sign posted for hiring there. I should not be liable for added time they made me wait to just perform simple checkout of Rental Truck. Instead of being apologetic the supervisor charged me additional time

They are pathetic and I would not do any business with at least this branch of Menards

Menards honor rebate

Went to menards in lancaster, ohio to buy some hardware. I attempted to pay for the purchase with a rebate coupon I had "earned" thru a purchase made in september of 2018. The clerk at the register told me that the rebate coupon was "no good"!
I went to the front desk and asked that the office manager help to solve this problem. They said in a rude manner "you coupon is no good"! She said that she had no idea of how I got it. And that it was used in two purchases in the past. [censored]!
#1 on partial usage of a rebate coupon, the clerk would have wrtiiten"in ink" the balance left on it. And on the 2nd/final purchase, the clerk keeps the coupon.

I hope I am right - that is how all rebates were handled in the past.

I now have the coupon infront of me. No markings of anykind on it.
Doesn't that tell you that no 1rst purchase was made as the office girl told me.
There would have been a balance written on it to show the remaining value.

As for the second purchase using the remainder of the balance on the coupon - the clerk would have kept it.

How all of this [censored] came about - I would sure like to know.

As for customer service - the girl on duty shows very poor customer relations.

This rebate coupon is $69.45

Attached are two photos. One showing a rebate coupon that has a remaining balance of $62.54 of the $111.54

And the coupon that was refused!

I hope that the rebate coupon for $111.54 show how much I have shopped there in the past.
Should you not be able to give me my $69.54, I will shop elsewhere. And show family, friends and neighors how easy it is to get ripped off at your stores.

Word gets around in a small town

There are other stores around - lowes, homedepot and local hardware stores

Menards cabinets and countertop

I purchased cabinets and a countertop at Menards the end of May. I am very disappointed in the service I have received over the past month. When you call it says the guest satisfaction is the #1 goal. I have spoke to the GM on Friday and called for them 2 times still haven't heard back from the GM, only from the cabinet department. No one at Menards cares that I spent $5, 000.00 and haven't received my countertop yet. I am at a loss.

• The sales ladies told me the cabinets were so easy to assemble, over and over again. I thought I could put them together all by myself no problems. When I got the cabinets, because the instructions were incorrect I couldn't figure out how to put the drawers together correctly. After 7 hours of trying to figure it out, I gave up. The next day I started fresh and realized the directions were incorrect. The first drawer you had to use a different part since it is smaller. In the directions it never noted this and the picture didn't show this part.
• I purchased a sink at Menards so I could make sure the sink fit properly. At no time did the sales lady or the instructions for a farms since tell me how to mount the farmers sink. This was a big issue cause I had to pay my contractor and extra $300.00 to install this. If I would have known, I would have just used my old sink. I asked the associate at Menards, he said he had no clue about a farmers sink.
• After I got all my cabinets up, I found out I didn't have any shelves with my delivery. I called Menards, the gentleman said he was busy, he would call me back. He never called me back after 45 minutes. I started driving to Menards since it is about a 40 minute drive. I called back 15 minutes before I got there, the lady said they are so busy that she isn't able to help me right now, told me to come up to the store. I got to the store 15 minutes later no one was to be found. The paint department had to call someone for me.
• When I was there to bet my shelves I bought another 12 inch cabinet. I put this together and the door on to find out the front door was the wrong one! They told me they were going to mail this to me.
• I got my template for my countertop opened it up found out the measurement for the bar was only 12 inches wide. How would the bar be 12 inches wide when my cabinets are 24 inches.
• I called up to Menards to find out how I update the template, the associate told me there is a website. I asked he what it was, she said she didn't know, I would have to come into the store.
• I drove again 40 minutes to the store for my template. An associate was with someone, said I would need to wait or I can come back to the store later, he is with a customer. I was furious at this point, I talked to the General Manager. The General Manager brought an associate from another department to help me. They were GREAT, they helped me with my measurements and everything, this was just what I wanted someone that knew what they were doing.
• My contractor helped me with my template, so I had to order a new template. Again there wasn't anything in the box telling me where to do this online. I drove back up to Menards, gave the associate my measurements on a Saturday. She told me this would be ordered on Monday. I waiting until Thursday, never received my template. On Thursday night I called up to Menards, the associate said she is busy I would have to call back later. I called back later, another associate told me to call back in the morning to talk to the manager.
• I called on Friday (6/28) morning spoke to Bethany, she told me she is leaving for vacation at 12:00 she would have another manager call me. Never received a call, so I called back about 4:00 and spoke to Jessica. She told me she doesn't know what happened to my order but found it. They will put a rush on the order. It is now Wednesday and I still don't have my template.

The above email is what I delivered to the GM of the store on 7/5. As of today I still have not received my template for my countertop or my new cabinet. They told me they would put a rush on it. The date is 7/10 nothing. I left a message for the GM last night got a call from Jessica the manager, she told me the same thing she has been telling me it is on my way. I ordered my cabinets on 05/12/2019 and I still don't have my kitchen done.

Menards cashier

I was at Menards East in Eau Claire on 7/9/19 at about 6:45pm. We were ready to check out & seen a cashier on register 8 that didn't have her light on so figured she was closing up & proceeded to another register. On our way to that register, we noticed a guy proceeded to check out at her register so we walked back over there. We get up in line & she says that she is closing up her register so we proceed to a different register. As we are waiting in line to check out, we see her start to check out another guy at her register. I found this downright rude & discriminating.

Menards management and false advertising

A grill that was price as 49.00 end up being 149.00
I notice a cute little grill on the floor that said 49.00 soo told my husband to stand right there let me find someone to assist me it took about 5 min or so but that's fine the staff came over and said it was that last one and it was price so low to get rid of it and that was the last one.. I'm not done shopping so I'm walking around the store for about 20-min with this grill because he said it's the last one... we get to check out and the cashier was that's a good price 49.00 is there anymore I'm like nope this is it ...
so she's trying to ring it up but can make out the Sku number she tried about 8 times and then her coworker look at the label and tried 4-5 times so the manager came and tried 3 times .. same thing good price .. after going to the service desk he comes back and say it's 149.00 I explain what was told to me and what I see in this label as he agreed but "some how I guess the number 1 faded but we go by the sku number but dang they had to put it in about 15-20 times total ..
I ask well I can't get it for the price that it say he replied No we go by the sku number and we have 15 left ... so I'm walking around this store for 20 min with a grill y'all have 15 more of in the box .. mind you I'm rolling this grill around with me15-20 min pushing my Kart and pulling this grill in the other hand ... so I ask to speak to a manager because this is not right ... he replied very nasty there is no one above me ...
I'm requesting a call back between me and my husband we spend maybe 2-5, 000 a month with manards without properties .. this behavior is not fair ...
I did However buy the grill because this process was so embarrassing With all them people in line behind us ..
I have a video and the sticker .. that was on the grill he requested it but I need Corp to look at this tag ..

Menards mastercraft doors

We purchased an expensive Indoor/Outdoor door for our sunroom in 2016. The air seal has failed and now the glass is continually foggy. The manufacturer is sending a new door with "simple" instructions on how to replace the heavy glass insert. This looks like a disaster waiting to happen. They obviously know about this quality issue, and should be prepared to send a $100 check to pay for the two hours of handyman service needed to replace. MasterCrap.

Menards front end manager price match compliant

I need corporate complaints. I purchased the Summer Waves Elite Frame Pool from Menards in Crest Hill, IL 6/24/2019 for $297. I saw it today 6/30/2019 in the Walmart store in Romeoville, IL for $196 Rollback price and they had 3 sitting there in stock so I wanted the store to price match it. I checked the price on Walmart.com and it shows $277. I called Menards in Crest Hill, IL at 8:05am and spoke to Brandi and explained what I saw, she said they would check the online price, I told her that I checked it and it shows $277 online but I took a picture of the display showing the pools and the price. She said just bring it in to the service desk by the registers and the manager would be able to assist me with the price match. I came into the store and approached the service desk where the rebate center is near the registers at Menards in Crest Hill, IL. and Becca the Front end manager was there. She had a very unwelcoming look on her face. She immediately told me that she would check the online price. I told her what Brandi said on the phone and she said they can only go by the online price. I told her I wouldn't have driven all the way to the store if Brandi hadn't told me that [censored](the only "curse" word I used throughout the conversation. She explained again the store can only go by the online price. At this point I'm livid, she called Brandi over and she confirmed what I said, I was still told the same story. She said she can't help me if I'm using curse words (4 mins after I said [censored]) I told her I'm upset and I haven't cursed at her. I proceeded to explain to her that she had a look on her face the whole time from the tone I approached the counter as if she didn't want to help me. She then says, "well we have it on sale for $169 so if you like, you can take your receipt to the service desk on the other side of the store and get a store credit for the difference. I snatched the receipt and went to the service desk. I get to the service desk and the young lady tells me the pool is $269 and not $169. At that point I'm boiling. I told the young lady to go ahead and ring it and I'll write to corporate about Becca and her rudeness along with the misinformation that Brandi provided me with. Please have someone from corporate call me back to discuss this matter!

Menards special order delivery

On 06/16/19 we placed a special order for a vent free fireplace on order KALA30306030 at store # 3150, after we had checked with Menards over 1.5 months earlier while in the planning phase to see if this product was available, and assured that it was. However, at 8:15 pm on June 26 we receive a voicemail from Menards stating this order has been canceled as it is no longer supplied by your vendor. This is all after we had downloaded the specs from your website and began the demolition and building IT TOOK 11 DAYS FOR US TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE VENDOR NO LONGER MAKES THIS PRODUCT? In the meantime, our house has been torn apart waiting for this delivery. Walls have been removed and we are in full construction mode waiting for this delivery. I understand this was a special order, but if the order had been placed when paid for, we would have found out that we couldn't get this product and we would have not started the demolition. There isn't much for Menards to do for us other than refund us, which they stated they would be doing, but my frustration level is to the point of not wanting to make Menards my first choice of stores whenever I have a large project to be completed ever again.
