Filter Queen Filter Queen vacuum

This complaint is in regards to the stainless steel tube from the handle to the head unit. I have owned this vacuum for 6 years and have replaced this part on 3 separate occasions due to poor quality of materials and design. This tube constantly breaks at the head attachment and costs $100 to replace. This is not acceptable to have to continually pump money into a product due to poor design when I have spent almost $2000 on the vacuum to begin with. This item needs to be updated and have a durable material used other than brittle plastic that is designed to break to produce more revenue from previous customers.

Desired outcome: Use quality materials and replace my now to be 4th tube in 6 years.

Filter Queen Service

During covid3/2019 and until now. I have been under strict no contact protocol yet that is not being taken into consideration when asking about my perpetual warranty. I’m not so happy about that. It’s not a good business policy to hold me to a no warranty because of covid and not being able to get someone out here my preference for Covid protocol! I’ve had three air purifiers and one vacuum for years now and I except better service and understanding.

Desired outcome: Give me my warranty and service back the way I’ve always had.

Filter Queen Vacuum

We have had this vacuum and defenders since 2015. The products are decent. And yes a lot of money to purchase of course we got suckered into this contract. When it comes time to replace a part there is no one to talk to. I have called 6 different phone numbers. I was getting the run around. We found out our actual sales department that handle and would check every year even a phone call is out of business. The contract is horrible you can't read any of the fine details I have requested to have all paperwork sent again to keep on file. This company is looking towards a law suit soon and just need info on our warranty and what replacement parts they issues. It's very simple!

I'm sorry about your experience with this product.

Since 2003, there have been numerous complaints filed with Filter Queen and their independent businesses over labor practices and other ethical concerns through other complaint websites, the business practices are known to Filter Queen and I have addressed them through the internet and local media sources over the years.

As a former independent contractor for Filter Queen, these businesses are temporarily setup and have a pattern of appearing when unemployment and economic negativity is in place. While this concern is nothing new, this matter should be addressed through your state attorney general office for consumer complaints to get resolution.

Keep in mind that any person coming into your home to demonstrate this product may have not had a background check and you could be allowing someone in your home that could be having criminal intentions.

In the past, Filter Queen has sold products to independent businesses that aren't following labor practices using independent contractor agreements that could violate IRS rules and regulations as well as state and local laws that state that any person who has to report to a local office for a meeting as well as doing other tasks that they are not being paid to do that they should be considered an employee should be reported to a state or local government employment office for investigation.

While this is a good product, there is a better way that Filter Queen can sell the product through retail businesses that have vendor compliance agreements that prohibit many of the practices that Filter Queen use for selling the product through unethical labor practices.

The best thing to do for any agent that shows up to you door is to show them this thread.

Filter Queen complaint

It's a horrible company with atrocious customer service. They took advantage of my elderly immigrant parents, especially the fact that they couldn't speak english as well.in the past two years, the vacuum needed to be fixed four times and trying to get in contact with customer service was terrible. It was hard for them to get in contact with them and they made it such a difficult process. Never purchase from this company.

Filter Queen the vacuum & the defender - air purifier sorta

We were not going to pay that much for a vacuum. The new young salesman knew we weren't going to be getting 1. He sold us when he said that we would be getting the filters & work done on it free for the rest of our lives & whomever gets it after us. When he told us that, we asked him a few times & he continued to say yes. He said within 6 months we should be getting more filters. He never even told us about the filters on the defender. I finally called because the defender's light was blinking & because we needed filters. Of course what sucked is the last person who emptied the vacuum, put the filters in wrong. I have asthma, emphysema & COPD, so when emptiing it all the dirt comes back to my lungs. They lied to us! I want to get a lawyer because I feel very conned. We never would have bought it, if we new that even after we have it all paid off, we are still going to have to pay $326 a year. Then though when buying these filters, then they will keep it going pretty good. If something else happens to it, then we pay. I'm very angry, annoyed & just appalled. Then the service guy tells me we hold checks, if that's what we are concerned with. Argh!

I am on Social Security, my boyfriend is too. The salesman lied to us & told us that we would be getting filters for the rest of the life of the vacuum. Free filters. We should have read the papers again after we agreed because we could have returned it since it was only 10 days. We waited for the fi!rers to come after 6 months, then after a year I called. When the man came out, he asked for $3?.00 for the filters. We refused! I'm not going to pay that too, after paying over $2600! We only bought it because he lied. I have to go but I need help.

My sweeper parts are broken. The sweeper part connection that you detach from the main sweeper to attach the attachments is broken, and I have to use duct tape to keep together. Also the crevice tool is broken now.

It broke about 3 months ago and I have not had time to contact you until now. It just fell off when my cleaning lady was using it. The crevice device has a large chip out of the corner. I thought that the product was covered for a lifetime.

Filter Queen filter queen

On December 17, I replied to a postcard received from Olympic Air Solutions to inquire of a prize I won. Prizes included a kitchen serving set, tickets to a Green Bay Packers game, a digital camera, Apple iPod Touch and a top prize of $10, 000. I was informed that I won, but my card must be verified by an agent of the company. As part of the verification process, I was asked to view a FilterQueen Indoor Air Quality System. The representative on the phone stated the demonstration was brief. Fair enough. I weighed out the chance to win $10, 000 with maybe a half hour of my time. An appointment was set up for an afternoon visit.

Shortly before the scheduled visit, I received a phone call from a sales manager informing me the sales person was running late and if I would be o.k. postponing my appointment by one hour. One hour turned into two and a half hours. After waiting patiently for two and a half hours past the scheduled visit, the sales person appears. After verification of prize card, I was presented with an 18 piece BBQ set and asked to participate in a product demonstration.

The demonstration included the Defender and the Majestic. Both products were of good quality and the salesperson did a fine job with the demonstration. After a one hour and forty five minute presentation, I was ask to answer a few questions regarding the demonstration and the products. I made it very clear I was not interested in making a purchase. It did not matter how much the products cost, I was not in the market to purchase an air purifier or a vacuum cleaner. However, the salesperson was here to do his job, so I patiently listened as the price of the combo was presented.

The Defender was listed at $998. The Majestic was $2, 998. After quickly stating “NO”, the salesperson called his manager. There was a back and forth conversation between the sales manager and the salesperson. The sales manager would dictate to the salesperson a series of demeaning questions such as “so you admit your current vacuum does not do the job the Majestic does. You prefer to live in dirt?”

After indicating if I had to choose between the Defender and the Majestic, I indicated I would choose the Majestic but stressed again I was not interested in either product. The price dropped from $2, 998 to $2, 600 to $2, 200 to to $1, 500. During the entire negotiation process, I could hear the demeaning conversation taking place between the sales manager and the salesperson in order to hook me as a customer. After refusing to pay $1, 500, I heard the sales manager order the salesperson to offer a price of $1, 200 and perform fellatio on me (actual words spoken were more vulgar and offensive). Of course the salesperson, acting as a true professional, did not relay the entire message to me and was unaware that I was hearing both sides of this abrasive conversation. After rejecting the offer to pay $1, 200, a final offer of $999 was made. I quickly rejected the price of $999 and the presentation finally ended.

I am posting the report to alert other people in the community who have received a similar offer to call to check on a prize. Unfortunately, you may not see my report until it is too late. If this is the case, please share your story.

Filter Queen micron filtration technologies

Actually bit the bullet with sales pitch on glorified vaccuum and air purification unit. Cost $3, 000 but only $50 a year to keep warrenty active. I love this thing but when filter replacement came at 6 months(not year) discovered that to keep warrenty, filters cost $100 every 6 months and almost another $300 yearly! All this left out of a 2+ hour pitch and have a finance company to inform of situation now. Felt bad for technician, not his fault, but payments for 3 years on it and almost $500 ayear (taxes) to have warrenty is bull. Especially when not only left out, bUT actually told a different price. Husband calling tomorrow to tell them to take back, we can get our daughters first cars with that.

Filter Queen sales pitch gone wrong

We received a phone call from someone claiming we had "won" a prize, for filling out a survey. My husband assumed I had done it, and agreed for them to drop it off. The individual (Kenny) came earlier than appointed time, and was really put out that my husband wasn't home. He told me he had to do a short demonstration before we could have our prize, which seemed strange. He said it would take 15-20 minutes, but he couldn't do it without both of us there. Not like I was letting a stranger in my house, anyhow, without my husband being here. He was supposed to come back at 8.30pm (the original appointed time), but came late, and the spent almost 90minutes doing the demo of an air filter and vacuum. Which seem like good products, but by the time he was done, it was after 10pm. I have little kids, who really needed to be in bed, and asked him to wrap it up, and he told us that unless he completed the full demonstration, we couldn't have the "prize". Which by now, I could have cared less about, we really only let him in the door because we felt sorry for him, and figured he was probably paid only if he did the full thing. He also wanted us to drag out our central vac to prove how much better his system was, and when we told him it was okay, we got it, he again said he couldn't give us our voucher unless we saw the whole thing. He didn't have any literature (business card, pamphlet about products etc) to give us, just told us most people buy it outright when they are done their presentation, which I find hard to believe. He wrote a website on a scrap of paper, so we could look at it more, but it was the wrong website. When he was done, and cleaning up he dumped all the stuff he'd vacuumed out of our carpets (demonstrating how good his product was) back on the carpet, and cleaned off the beater brushes etc, only to drop the fuzz back on the floor. Really? Not a good impression to leave us with.
In the end, we got a crumpled pamphlet of places we can take a "free" trip to, doubt we will get involved with it. I feel badly for Kenny, he didn't really seem to know what he was doing, how they got our address etc. The whole thing seems like a big scam. All I can say is if anyone gets a call from these people, don't let them in.

Filter Queen telemarketing scam targeting the elderly

This entire business is a rip off. The parent company is called Filter Queen, however, since their reputation is so bad, they set up offices all around the US with different names. The one I am writing about is MD Health Systems. They are Vacuum Cleaner sales people, however, they call their vacuum cleaner an air purifier. Their products cost $4000.

In order to get sales, they telemarket people and usually the elderly. They get their telemarketing phone lists from online FICA scores in order to target those who would be able to afford their outrageous prices. Now, since there are several people on the Do Not Call list, they have to cover their behind, just in case they accidentally call them. So, they start off by doing a "survey" about air quality/pollution. The last questions are if they are an employed home owner. If yes, then the victim would get a call back in 2 days.

Now, when the victim gets a call back, they are told that they won a prize. It is a cheap prize or with the vacation prize it is a time share scam. And the victim is told that in order to get their prize, they will have to listen to a 90 demonstration on a portable air purifier. However, they are told, there is no pressure, the person is a paid advertiser and this is how they advertise is word of mouth. That is a lie, they are vacuum cleaner sales men that will push you to buy a $4000 vacuum cleaner. The telemarketer will lie if you press why they are doing paid advertising and say that their product is a class 2 medical device and they cannot do commercials or anything on it.

If you agree to set the appointment to get the cheap junky prize, sometimes the sales associates will cancel on you if you are not rich enough in order to go to a richer more qualified lead. You will be asked to reschedule. Yes, you will be asked to reschedule an appointment for a salesman to sell you a vacuum cleaner.

If they are desperate for an appointment and need a "right now", then they will call the most elderly of leads, possibly with dementia. That means, they do the survey and set the appointment right then, with the sales rep going to their house within a half-hour. Some of those appointments that are set are people with Alzheimers.

The second way they scam is with scatch cards. What they do with that is send you a scratch card that makes you think you won the top prize. If you have a poker scratch card and scratch 4k7 you won a cheap serving set, or if you scratch off 4J2 you just won a BBQ equally as cheap. Yay! Or you also win whatever the sales rep feels like giving you. Its really not worth sitting through a 90 min demo on a vacuum cleaner and signing away your life savings. On the back of the card they intentionally mismatch the numbers that are scratched off with the prizes. The winner for the $10, 000 grand prize is the 3Q, but if you got that card you'll probably throw it away thinking you won the serving set.

This company is a scam and bad news. If they call ask to be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST. If you say not interested they'll keep calling you. However, if you asked to be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST then legally, they have to do it, because if they keep calling then you can sue them. If you get a scratch card just throw it away. Warn your elderly family members about them. They have no problems selling their overpriced equipment to 90-year-olds with Alzheimers.

This is sooooo true. My elderly parents were totally scammed into buying a Filter Queen vacuum and 3 air purifiers for their very small home. Plus, the sales person would have been able to tell that my parents were unable to make good decisions and that my mother can't even operate a vacuum cleaner anymore (did have a cleaning lady who would use it, but for $4000?). Within 6 months of this outrageous purchase my parents had to move to "retirement housing" - so now we have this vacuum and air purifiers that the company will not buy back from you - they tell you to sell it on Ebay. Another really bad deal with their sales is the financing they set up for the purchaser - 18% interest. My parents were paying almost as much interest every month as they were paying toward the principal. I wonder if Filter Queen and their Finance Co. are "in-bed" with one another?

Filter Queen rude and ignorant employee

I have something to say that happen to me. I have called Winnipeg Health Systems to ask them so show me and my wife there products because my wife does have health problems and i wanted to see if they could help. So they sent over this girl by the name of Ashley Georgeson to do a demo for us. Well i never met person so rude and ignorant as Ashley Georgeson. Ashley came in looked around with a discuses look to her face and said where can i do the demo for you. So i showed Ashley to the living room. As Ashley was setting up i helped my wife the living room to the couch. Ashley started off saying i am very busy today and i want you to keep your questions to your self to the end, They will most likely be answered as i go through my speech. I thought that was a bit rude. Ashley started her demo and i say about 10 mins in my wife had a question to ask Ashley about her health issues how this product would help her. Well Ashley rolled her eyes and said yes what is your question. My wife asked and Ashley said well if you where listening i just answered that question 5 mins ago in the demo, Well i had enough of Ashley's attitude. I told her she had no right to talk to my wife like that and that i would like Ashley to leave now. But Ashley ignored me and stared on her demo again . Finely i said stop now you are done here i want you to leave now . Ashley through her stuff back into the box and called me an ### under her breath and stormed out. I called the company to complain About Ashley Georgeson and said i want her let go from your company and that she was a disgrace on how she represented Winnipeg Health Systems and that i would go look at other company's if they don't. Well there response was i am sure Ashley was having a bad day, we can send someone else there for you. I could not believe that they just blew me off . I told them they are a disgrace and that they don't care about customer service and that i will not recommend them to anyone at all. So please people don't give this company a chance .

A "friend" who works with Atlas Air Industries offered to demonstrated in our house a majestic and defender system. The former is a vacuum cleaner and the latter an air purifier.

The sales agent offered to give us the defender for free if we purchase the vacuum cleaner and trade-in our old upright vacuum cleaner.

The cash price of the vacuum that the agent entered in the LendCare Credit application is $3497.35. After adding in the admin fees, interest rate, annual percentage rate and the total cost of borrowing, the total amount payable went up to $4030.60

I saw the potential of the appliance and begrudgingly agreed with the purchase. Serendipity would have it that our line of credit application was denied and we can't afford the vacuum. So after a week, as per our buyer's right to cancel, we returned the items.

In the signed agreement, we were promised to receive our downpayment and the trade-in item or its equivalent cost, within 15 days. That was September 12, 2016, ten days shy of two months ago. Several calls were made, but no luck.

What I find unsettling, aside from their lack of integrity, is that their office in 74 Myrtle Drive, Winnipeg, has no company name on it, you wont find it coz the building number just lies on the ground. I did several pass and some sleuthing before I found the building.

I met Brent, handed over the items, he checked and verified the items are all ok. He signed the cancellation letter, I reminded him of the refund. And since then, we still have to wait for our money and item.

So folks beware of this company and it's agents.

After participating in a phone survey about health issues, I was offered free hotel vouchers if I listened to a half hour presentation about the company's health product, which turned out to be the Defender Air purifier and the Filter Queen Majestic 2 Surface Cleaner, ie. vacuum. After a 4 hour presentation in which the young salesman insulted my former...
