MCS Debt Recovery review: mcs debt recovery, telkom and a dispute - shocking service!

About 2 years ago I signed up for a Telkom mobile account. I received the requested device and all was well. The problem was that I never received an invoice. The sale which was dome through a Telkom 3rd party only gave me an invoice with a website and no other contact details.

I never received a monthly invoice and was therefore unable to make payments. I have since been contacted by MCS Debt recovery informing me that they are going to take legal action. I have received numerous emails and SMS's for which I am being billed.

From the first contact, I requested the billing info, for which they had an email address I have never owned. I the requested as per my legal right the recording of the address supplied when I signed up for the contract. I have stated multiple times that I am more than happy to pay for the contract I signed up for, but I will not pay Interest, debt collector fees or for these ridiculous SMS's and emails. If I stop payment I am inundated with communications, so I have made payments towards the original contact.

Another two times, I have requested telephonically the original info and once again despite multiple promises I have received NOTHING - except threats to hand me over. Currently, I have MKAYLIN NAIR he spoke to me at the end of January (26th) and promised to get back to me. I am now being told by him that because I am making payments this is not being resolved.

So let me get this straight:
1. I don't pay, you ignore my requests and inundate me with digital bullying emails and SMS's
2. I do pay, you ignore my request and make it irrelevant because I am paying when I have a dispute? - REALLY?

Today, MKAYLIN NAIR phoned again (surprise - not), he then proceeded to tell me that I should not pay if I have a dispute. When I questioned why he had not got back to me, he would not answer. He then proceeded to tell me that he clearly called me at the wrong time, he will call back BECAUSE IT IS HIS JOB (his words) and put the phone down without finishing our conversation because I was challenging what he promised versus what he actually has done?

I have other accounts with Telkom and I have had no issue aside from this collection agency and the 3rd party sale of the device.

Next step OMBUDSMAN!

All I want is to settle what I signed up for and have this resolved. I have already paid R1000 on this account.
