Maximum Burn Extreme review: Unauthorized charge to ATM card 75

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I ordered some Acai diet pills the other day online. I did the free trial for a 30 day supply, all I had to do was pay $3.87 in shipping. My ATM card was charged 3.87 on 05/05/10. Today I checked my bank account online to find $87.87 is being processed by the same company. I am livid. I tried calling several of the phone numbers, the recording says to call back during regular business hours. I spoke with a rep at my bank and he said to cancel my ATM card. Then no more unauthorized charges can go through. I will have to file a claim now with my bank, it could take up to 60 days to get my money back. I am so upset. The website I found this on claimed to have Good Morning America and several local news broadcasts backing them.
The rep at the bank says he's seen this happen countless times. I can't believe they are getting away with this, especially after reading all of the complaints posted. They need to be shut down. They are thiefs and con artists. I hope they burn in hell

I read an ad on the internet about these products for weight loss that was backed by Good Morning America.
You think well this must be legitimate. So I sent for the free trial. My card was charged the $3.87.
Before the trial could even get here there was another charge on my card for $87.47 from the same company.
I called the 1-800 number that was on my bank statement. Spoke to the rep about the problem, and canceled any further orders. She said it would take 4-6 weeks for the refund to show up at my bank. Why in this day of instant transfers it takes that long I want to know. This was 10/1/10. I called back on 10/25/10 and spoke to someone else and they said there was some kind of glitch and it should be there in 10 days. I called back on 11/14/10. And the rep told me they didn't understand what was going on but, they would put my name to the top of the list and it should be there within 2 weeks. I called back on 12/13/10 and all I get is a busy signal. So I tried the number on the (so called) free bottle, and that number is no longer in service.
I guess this was a very expensive learning lesson. There have been no further charges on my card, so that is a blessing. But I think I am going to call my bank and get my card changed just to be on the safe side.

I ordered the maximum burn extreme on my credit card and thank god i never used my real card and used my temporary card till my new card was sent other wise i would have all kinds of charges on my card that was unauthorized. There was no receipt sent with trail product, and when trying to call the number on the bottle it is a fake. I got the number off the credit card statement for the transaction and have been calling that it just rings busy all the time. The number is [protected] if anyone has the same problem. JUST A WARNING DO NOT ORDER ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS THEY ARE BOGUS.

me and my husband purchased the 12 day free trial maximum burn extreme on march 27, 2011 and read the fine print which read that if not cancelled 12 days after receiving the product that they will charge the $88.19 fee on that day they with drew the small free trial fee charge to send it to us as well as the $88.19 charge 5 days later they again charged the $88.19 charge to my account we have just received the product on march 31 we have called any and every number to cancel this product and either its busy or it rings disconnected so the only way i know how to take care of these charges was to file a claim with my bank and cancel the card...plz DO NOT DO THE FREE TRIAL ITS FAR FROM FREE

Ordered a free sample, paying 1.49 for s&h, which had been reduced to half price for a limited time. Received the product, which contains 200 mg caffine, so I will not be taking it. Got my bank statement Friday, and they had charged 1.49 to my check card, and one minute later, used the same transaction number to charge 69.97. Call to the company was answered by 'Wayne', whose English deteriorated dramatically as the call went on, put me on hold half a dozen times and finally came back on line and pretended he couldn't hear me and hung up on me. I called right back and talked to 'Laura', who spoke English very clearly for the first 5 minutes, then it was downhill from there. Every time I started to speak, she interrupted me with "I understand..." When I stopped talking, so did she. They offered me a web site I could go to and print out a rebate form to mail in and I would receive a refund in the form of a Visa card in approximately 2 - 3 weeks. By this time, they would have, of course, charged my account again. I wanted to cancel my 'membership' immediately, I would not be eligible for a refund. This is fraud and there is no way it can be legal. Why are they allowed to stay in business?

I purchased a 10 day free trial and paid $9.95 initially. 7 whole days later they billed my ATM card $39.95. I called to cancel subscription immediatly & was reassured my account would not be debited this amount. 1 week later I had to call again. I was told that the only notes were that I had called & said I "did NOT" want it cancelled. They will not refund my money & said that I should have cancelled. I guess they think I pulled names & information out of the air. I strongly recommend cancelling your ATM card that you used so that they cannot keep taking your money. This is what I had to do. Who needs the pills to lose weight...I'm losing more pounds because of the aggravation & stress the company has put on me. LOL

Maximum Burn Extreme advertises a 10 day free trial period. I used a magnifying glass and NOWHERE did it say the 10 days began on the purchase date. It took the product 10 days to arrive. That same day, my bank account was charged $88.87. RIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF. Then when I called them I was not even able to cancel my order. I called back 3 times and each person that answered the phone would cancel my order. I had to go to my bank and have my card destroyed and have another reissued with a different number on the front.

I signed up for a trial offer that was for $1.97 and $3.97 I signed up on 10/8 for a 30 free trial. 5 days later I was charged $39.95 I never even recieved the product. I called the number [protected] I found on my bank statement and the lady Janet Sanchez told me that the $39.95 was nonrefundable, I asked for a supervisor and after arguing with me for 10 minutes she transfered me to a supervisor. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then i was hung up on. I told them they were not autorized to charge my card and that I wanted a full refund, I also told them I never recieved the product. I called again on 10/16 and spoke to Amy id#179 she told me my card would be credited back within 10-15 business days. Amy also told me she was canceling my account and no other charges will be billed to my card. I told her it never should have been billed in the first place. This is nothing but a scam and people REALLY need to be careful and they need to be shut down and fined for authorized charges.

I have never been so frustrated in communicating with customer reps or their suppervisors or simply getting what I ordered. Not to mention not getting the 14 day trial AND being charged for it, also being told I would get a special discount which I never got, charged double for a product I have not received... Could not even speak to someone in authority (because I was told that he doesn't take customer phone calls) who could simply give me a refund for a product not even received, only to give me the same response of getting a discounted price that I was promised the first time only to get charged full price TWICE. I will be calling or reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. We are talking over $190 of product not received ! Which they then put me on hold and never bothered to come back while I waited a good 15 min. (which is what they suggested the waiting time would be)

This is a complete wool-over-your-eyes scam. They rope you in by advertising a free trial for a diet supplement, all you have to do is pay 2.99 shipping. 10 days from your order date, you'll be charged rough 87.00. They do this "legally" by including in the terms and conditions a membership fee of previous amount. If you're not very careful as you read the terms, you'll not catch it. Upon seeing the charges on my bank statement, I called my bank immediately and canceled my card so that the company could no longer extract from my account.

I called the company to inquire about a full refund. The representative I spoke to told me that was impossible. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and the man told me that the supervisor would not tell me any differently and could not do anything more for me. I was very persistent to talk to the supervisor. After 5 minutes with "the man" I finally got transferred to a supervisor. I explained to her my situation and all she could offer me was 20 dollars back to my account. I was less than pleased with the company, but I figured 20 was better than nothing.

I've learned my lesson with purchasing things online and not reading fine print. I hope you are able to read a review before you fall victim to their scam like I and many others have.

Thought I would never become a victim of a scam but this company really got me. My friends had went to a web site sponsored by our top news cast: CBS for one. The product was for AcuBerry flush with a Colon Cleanse product in conjunction that would help you to clean your system and lose weight. The only thing that gets cleaned is your bank account. The "free" trial isn't free at all and its not a trial. In checking my bank account the discovery was (2) charges for the colon cleanse (one from each of two different companies)...neither claiming to be joined with the other and (1) charge for the AcuBerry. Well, three days later, the AcuBerry company charged my account $87.47. When the product arrived it was actually "Maximum Burn Extreme" as the product. In calling the company, I was given a non-speaking english person that had difficulty in even pronouncing the words and so much noise in the background you could forget about hearing them anyway. Then, I was sent a cancellation submittal to stop the shipments and payments in which you couldn't even submit cause it errored out each time for incorrect password. I tried emailing them which was to a "do not reply" response. Lastly, I contacted my bank to stop the pending payment and discovered you can't stop a pending payment...so it was cancel my card and call back when it clears the bank to file a fraud charge...then wait to hope the bank get the money returned. Now, no bank card in the case of emergency and money taken that you can't replace in the near future. Lesson learned on ALL web sites. YOU CAN'T TRUST ANYONE TODAY! NOT EVEN OUR MEDIA SPONSORED SITES.

I went for a trial period of two weeks for this acai extract weight loss product. When I went to terminate further deliveries after the trial period my repeated efforts failed - no company website and telephone contacts a complete disaster. As the $87.00 deliveries continue and are charged to my credit card. I apparently have no other recourse than to cancel my credit card. In digging into this company on the internet, I have come across six pages of complaints posted by the Complaints Board on their website about this compnay. That I have alot of company provides me with little solace

I was offered a free trial size sample which I accepted and they only charged around 3.00 for shipping. Within a week even before I had received my sample they billed my Bank of America Debit card $87.47. I have called them three times and they have ignored me by saying that they are handing it to the credit department. This is a SCAM. This company must be stopped Meanwhile, my nutritionist has warned me not to use this product. I don't want their product and am willing to ship their sample back to them. THEY CANNOT GET AWAY WITH THIS THIS IS OUTRIGHT FRAUD.

I decided after I ordered this product that I really was not interested in using it. I called the number on the bottle and was on hold for 10 min then when I was told I could not get a full refund because it was past the 10 day trial period I asked to speak to a suppervisor and was put on hold for an additional 15 min. After speaking with this person I was again told I would not get a full refund. The origional add that I ordered them from said they were FREE and wanted to sell me another product which I did not accept and you really could not finish the process if you did not order the other product so it seemed. So I honestly did not think I would even recieve Maximum Burn. But I did and when my credit card bill arrived they charged me 74.26 and that is when I called and got no satisfaction. Is there anything you can do to help?

My husband signed up for the free trial. Did receive the free trial. Noticed two charges in the amount of $87.47 on credit card two weeks apart. Never received pills I was charged for. Next, I received an order of pills with another $87.47 charge on credit card. Called company and told them never received first two orders I was charged for and I therefore am cancelling and requested refund to my credit card. They told me only one refund can be issued. They told me they could resend the pills and we said, no, we would prefer the credit. They told me only one credit could be issued. Told them to credit my account for first two orders. Returned third order I was charged for (which I did receive in the mail) mailed back with a return receipt. I was told credit card would be credited for the return of $49 not 87.47. There was a restocking charge. We are still waiting to receive credit for the two previous charges which were charged to my credit card and pills never received. Several phone calls have been made to this company and still no credit card refund. Don't waste your time. This is definitely a scam. Beware of these deals on the internet. They are not deals, but scams. Our next plan is to file a complaint with our credit card company regarding these charges

I too have signed up for a free trial only to find that I have been billed £61.36 for products which I didn't order and as yet haven't received. When I contacted this company I was told that the free trial date had probably ended. When I contacted them again to argue my case again, they haven't replied!

I feel that this is a scam of huge proportions and will take this matter further.

I also ordered the Maximum Burn Extreme. I was on the WebMed site & this popped up. I thought it would be trust worthy on that site. Now I have learned I have been scammed. They charged me $3.95 on 3/14/2011 & charged me $88.19 on 3/28/2011 before I realized what was going on. I only recieved the original trial bottle, which I found has caffiene in so I can't take it. None of my many calls were answered, only a closed number sound & someone says 093P & the line goes dead. I'm angry when I see all of the complaints already filed that they are still running this scam & also in other countries. The first thing I did was cancel my charge card & allert my bank. They told me you must go to Google & they can tell you if something is a scam or not. Ah ha here I am, to late to help matters. This has been an expensive lesson! M. Billings

I was also scammed- do not bother with the acutal company-- you will get no where. Call your bank and have them issue you a new credit/debit card -- most banks with give you a temporary credit for the charge until the claim is filed and serviced. I got my money credited back in full within 5 business days--

On the 14/11/2010 I purchased a bottle of Acai Max Cleanse pill as promised, (a free sample) paying postage $2-95 (Aus $2-99} only, using my Mastercard for the postage. When I received the product it was not the same Acai Max Cleanse pill as promised, instead it was Maximum Burn Extreme.
They also sent me some NUTRA BAN I did not request on the 14/11/2010 $93-97 (Aus $95-13) which were returned and I was paid a refund on the 3/12/2010 on the Mastercard.
Now either that Company or an employee has used my Mastercard to bill me for items from a porn site calling themselves “www.blowjoblusting.com” for the sum of $87-13 (Aus $86-21} plus $2-95 (Aust$86-91) Also on the same line, where they put the country of origin is: HASLEMERE SURGB purchase date the 29/12/2010 The expiry date on my card by the time of that purchase had expired and a new date would have to have been in use, which was never given to them. Is this a new ploy from that company to extract monies from customers? I have cancelled my Mastercard so I cannot get any more charges. This may be a scam such as Diet Max, who suck you in with a free trial offer with half postage cost. $3.69 AUD. Once they get your card details they will bill you approx $98AUD plus postage every month, and provide no goods. Australian Fraud squad can do nothing as it is an international scam outside our borders. Eventually I had to cancel all my cards, so far so good. Your card operator should have an online fraud squad, try them first. I finally managed to get a couple of hundred back from my card co, but am still down a substantial
amount. Apparently 1 in 10 people were scammed on line this year. Dont feel bad, you are not alone. Try a website from the Govt called" Scamwatch" They post these scams on line when they know about them. There is another scam pretending to be from Windows regarding a fault on your computer, then with your key strokes...goodbye Identity !

I am all for the class action suit against these a** holes! I want them to burn in hell for this s**t. My husband just got caught up in this scam and we are very lucky that I check my bank statements EVERY MORNING! I caught this first charge. Thank goodness it was only one. I WANT THESE PEOPLE TO BURN FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO ALL OF US HARD WORKING PEOPLE!
