Mavis Discount Tire The customer service received and lack of communication

I brought 4 tires back in April of 2021. I paid over $662 for tires and wheel alignment. There was also a warranty that I know I paid for, but was not added to my tires. I had a issue with one of my tires, were the air was slowly leaking out. I informed the Manager Chris of my issue and after 25 mins was told I needed brakes and rotors. He said nothing about my original problem, then I was told that my right front tire was leaking air, by one of the workers. I Asked him to show me and he couldnt, even after pouring water on tire still no hole. I have brought tires from Mavis on a few occasions and never have I been treated so unfair. I felt like they were trying to get money out of me for work I never requested. I was also told that they did not see where I had WORK DONE on my Nissan Maximum. They also told me the tires I purchased went on a plate from Delaware and I never owned a vehicle or lived in Delaware. I spoke to someome by calling a complaint number and was told that I would have warranty put on tires and a new tire at a prorated rate. They ordered the tire yesterday 10-26-2021. I went to have tire put on today and again felt like I was being taken advantage of. This manager on duty added up acrazy sum of $340 for a $90 tire, balance and a $15 warranty. You seem to have people working trying to extort money and take advantage of consumers. I know for a fact that I paid for a warranty in April, so where did that money go, or who pocket did it wind up in? I asked the rep yesterday for a email confirmation that warranty was put on tires as she stated and still no email. LOUSY SERVICE

Desired outcome: This company needs to address this and resolve with a solution I am not satisfied at all

Mavis Discount Tire Service

I have bought 5 sets of tires from the macon ga store. I have taken my truck up there for the 3rd time with an appointment waited over 3 hours each time told them I had a doctor's appointment at 1 got there at 8am at 12:15 I got tired of waiting so I will not be giving them any more of my business I will re pay another company to rotate and balance my tires on all of my vehicles it seems once you buy the tires they put you on the back burner to do any service work so I am done with this company.

Mavis Discount Tire Bait and switch tire scam

Came in on a donut because I had a flat tire, which was purchased new at Mavis less than one month ago. The tire was under warranty so I was told the flat would be fixed free of charge. When I showed up to get my car, the guys at Mavis had done a bunch of other "work" on my car that I didn't ask for or authorize, claiming that all 4 tires had leaks that needed to be fixed and all of this other nonsense… and then they held my car hostage and wouldn't return it until i paid their BS fraudulent bill. Mavis is a professional scam artist, bait and switch operations. Damn crooks should be in jail! I am filling a complaint with the BBB.

Mavis Discount Tire New tires SCRATCHED AND RUINED ALL 4 OF MY RIMS

I went in this morning 10/07/2021 for my 8 AM appointment for Tires, Alignment, oil change and New Wipers I paid $646.56. When I left the alignment was off I had to go back they had to fix it I left again. I went to go get an inspection sticker noticed there was white stuff all over my rims which was tire paste I also noticed every one of my RIMS are SCRATCHED in the exact same spot of a circle the exact distance away from the rim From the Tire machine it was not there yesterday as I hand washed my car on 10/06/2021 I had to go back the person I dealt with was very rude because it was the same person I dealt with at my appointment the same person I had to deal with going back a second time for the alignment issue and a third time I was there from 8 AM till 12:10 PM I was back there again by 12:20pm I waited for them to fix the alignment issue that I paid for 30 minutes after that I was back there again with a complaint about the rims! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE I HAVE USED NTB IN THE PAST AND NEVER HAD A ISSUE! For me to have to go back 3 Times within a hour with different issues is HORRIBLE AND Now I am being told that I'm going to have to drop off my car for the day so that they can call same company that they " always" use in these situations and be inconvenienced even more! This is totally unacceptable damage to rims like this should not even be an issue this companies pacifically deals with tires on a daily basis I would expect this from Walmart across the street but not from the shop that I've used before and never had a problem!

Mavis Discount Tire Fixing Mech Issues - No Experience

My Husband (cell: [protected]) went to change oil and fix brakes for his 2017 Audio A4.. The mechanics over there have NO experience with these types of cars.. They overfilled the oil tanks and started leaking. They called my husband and told him that the car is not working for a reason they have no clue about. My husband went to the store to see what was going on, he could not find the car at this location because they had decided (WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION) to tow the car to a mechanic that we do not know to fix it for us on our expenses. They were trying to cover their mistake. My husband was very very disappointment by towing his car without his permission. He had to rent a car and went to the other shop where his Audio was located and when he went there the car was opened in the middle of the shop and working on it and told him that the car needs to be fixed and it was leaking and the oil tank was overfilled because whoever was changing the oil does not know what he was doing. My husband asked to take the car to his dealer and he said they should take care of fixing the car at the Audi Dealer in Marietta. My husband opened a claim with Mavis Head Quarter. The technician at Mavis said that they will take care of the rental cost and fix the car to make it workable and clean the oil tank. We have not gotten a penny from what they said. Thank you! Mavis Discount Tire Poor customer services

Not too long ago i took my car for maintenance, need to replaced brakes and some other work i had to take care of. The services and comments i got from mechanic were really uncalled for but i let it pass. (first time dealing with this mechanic.
I still went for services today because Mavis prices are convenient.
My appointment was for 1pm left my car for brakes change and issue i had with muffler. I had to call at 5:58pm to get an update (Location closes at 6pm) I was concerned. Get to Mavis to find out that they did not perform any work and they are telling me Mechanic lost somebody and he has to leave. I am so sorry for mechanic lost but what was supposed to do in this case? ///// Simply call me and give an update, i have to work tomorrow and what would happen if i did not call>>>?
Train people to better provide customer services this is totally unacceptable
I am not the type to complain but services lately is so bad.
I take 3 of my cars there (check by phone records [protected], [protected])
never had such as bad services

Mavis Discount Tire Unethical Behavior

This complaint is related to Mavis shop at 5444 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34655. My Daughter placed an order online (order # 37571) to replace rear tires on 2014 Passat SE on 9/27/2021. While at the shop they offered to perform an Alignment and my Daughter informed them we had an Alignment performed about a month ago, but she said they could check.

So after the install of rear tires, which did not match what was originally placed in the order (#37571). They informed my Daughter based on their Alignment check the "Alignment is way off", actual quote from finalized invoice/receipt received. They also said they normally charge $75 for Alignment, but we can do it for $50.

We took the car back to the shop (on 9/29) where the alignment was performed about a month ago (August 2021), and based on their Alignment check there was nothing wrong with the Alignment.

I feel like this shop (where we have purchased tires before) tried to take advantage of my Daughter by offering a service that was not necessary and would probably not even occur, not to mention the fact they put on tires that did not match was ordered.

I have the Alignment print-outs from Mavis shop and other shop, as well as Mavis invoice if needed. Invoice number from Mavis shop in question is [protected]. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com.

Mavis Discount Tire Repairs for my car

I took my car in to get four new tires, oilchange, new breaks, struttes. Getting work done on it and getting it ready for winter. The shop was informed, what ever needs to be done on it fix. But definaly call me before fixing anything call and let me no. The only thing i felt was wrong with the car, the sterning wheel will vibrate if i go over 50 mph. Please take a look at that as well. They hd the car for a few days. Was told to come pick up the car, the only thing ive noticed the wheel was still vibrating. A few after having the car it broke down on the expressway, it just cut off and wouldnt turn back on, got it towed back to mavis. I told the the wheel is still vibrating, which in my opionon they didnt balanced my brand new tires, when they put them back on . So once they finally balanced my tires, one of the machanics took it for a test drive said the check engine light is now on. Which it was not on when i turned the car in every since i had the truck my check engine light was never on. They imformed me there is nothing the can do to fix my truck they think it maybe the engine, for me to take it to ammco transmission on sheridan another big mistake. I took the truck for another opionon on whats wrong with my truck. When the oil change was done mavis put way to much oil in my truck and it messed up the whole engine. I want a new engine put in the truck and not to have to pay for labor. Or i paid $1600 to gey the truck fixed to now not having a truck at all. Its so not fair .

Mavis Discount Tire Customer service

My wife had ordered tires and they were shipped to Mavis in Austell on east west connector she was told to be here at 12:00we were at 11:30 we waited 4 hour for tires to be in stalled on her car no body know anything about what they are doing .this is not right for us to wait thing long for this service I will NOT be coming back to this store and I will not be recommending the place to anyone .I'm am very displeased with the service.on a scale from 1 to 10 I give a 1.very dissatisfied.

Mavis Discount Tire False advertising complaint/Bad customer service from store manager.

Hello my name is Phineas Johnson. I made a appointment with Mavis tires in Columbus Georgia on Auburn Avenue for 8 o'clock today (September 18.) When I made the appointment I asked for a quote for a oil change on a 2014 Fiat 500 L. I was told by an employee for Mavis that the price would be $39.99. I told the employee that I had a discount coupon for $10 off which made the service $29.99. When I arrived this morning for the appointment I was told that the information I received was incorrect. And I was question where did I receive the information for the price for the service. I explain to the store manager that one of the Mavis employees quoted it to me over the phone. And he rudely responded to me by saying I didn't speak to him or anyone at that store so he couldn't confirm it. But the employee that took my keys for the service this morning showed me a Receipt that it was in the computer for my car model and year and the price for 29.99. The store manager then told me he would not be able to do the oil change and tire rotation for 2999 it will cost me $125 and it will take another hour and a half after waiting two hours from having an appointment. The store manager did not try to compensate for the mishap and he didn't seem concerned about my issue with the miss information that was communicated to me from Mavis tire. I have spent hundreds of dollars with Mavis on my cars and I thought that the way it was handled was unprofessional and it was false advertisement. I will no longer have my vehicle service at your company. Mavis Discount Tire Employee - Steve

Thu, 9/16/21 - Store Location Mavis Discount Tire, 562 N Maple Ave, Ridgewood, NJ 07450, Store ID # 0375
This is an experience I had doing business at this Mavis store in NJ.
On Wed, 9/15, I contacted Mavis and the phone was attended by Eric, who I later found out worked at the "call center", very nice person who helped me make an appointment with the store for the tires I wanted for my Nissan Pathfinder and the final price including taxes would be $654 (Order # 49690).
I proceeded to the store later that day and met Ethan, another gentleman who was very clear with what was informed to me and also confirmed the price of $654.
Later that day I called Eric back to book a second appointment for my Toyota Rav4, Eric advised me to make the appointment online which I did and the total amount came out to $535.92 plus taxes (Order # 49701), I even put down a deposit of $80.

Next day, Thu 9/16, I get a call from a Steve who informs me that my Nissan tires had come in and I could bring in my vehicle, given my second car was in the workshop, I could not get to the store right away. Later on Ethan called and left me a VM asking if I still would be coming in. Around 3pm, I got my second car back from the workshop and I proceeded with my Nissan to Mavis and dropped off the vehicle. I get a call later from Steve who informs me that the tires are almost done and they would be doing the alignment and I should be able to pick it up in a couple of hrs. Around 5.10ish I get a call from Steve who informs me the vehicle is ready for pickup. I reach the store and Ethan tells me the total is $800+!
I ask Ethan how that's possible since the agreed amount was $654. Ethan informs me that Steve had got my permission to perform wheel alignment and that's $129.99 extra. I At this point, I am totally confused and Ethan proceeds to call Steve, who peeks from behind a door and says tell him we will give him a $10 discount! I proceed to tell Ethan that I am not aware of this extra charge and I never authorized it. Now Steve comes and starts arguing with a very bad attitude that he informed me he was going to do the wheel alignment and that I agreed. I replied back stating that Steve only informed me the status, Steve never told me this was extra nor did he tell me what it would cost. Steve's answer simply was, you didn't ask, you should know the standard is $129.99!
At this point, I am completely taken back as this was indeed a rip off, Steve very smartly snuck in a $129.99 charge without clearly explaining to me that this was not included in the original quote, that this was an extra service and that there would be cost associated, neither did he get my authorization for the charge!
Steve continues with his rude behavior, telling me it was my responsibility to know this about cars and that it was a standard price I should be aware of! I tell Steve, I don't work at an auto place nor am I familiar with car parts and services, and that is why I come to Mavis because I trust you will be honest and tell me what needs to be fixed at a fair price and not take advantage of me. At this point, Steve tells Ethan take off the charge and cancel the default warranty on the tires sold, and says loudly he cannot come back here if anything is wrong with his tires and such. Ethan takes off the additional charge and somehow, still the bill is close to $690. I ask again this was not the agreed price and then I am not sure what Ethan did but the final price came out to $664.86, still $10 more than the agreed price.
Steve then tells me that he has cancelled my second order of tires and I can go get my $80 deposit from whoever I gave it to and he walks away.
Ethan at this point tells me, he can still honor my second order of tires and I said I agree as long as I don't have to deal with Steve.
At this point, Ethan is going over my second order and Steve comes back still with his rude behavior and attitude and standing around trying to make an issue.
Given all that happened, I ask Ethan to confirm the price that I have the printout for the second set of tires and that I do not want anything extra!
Steve jumps in and tells me its what's shown on the screen, $535.92 plus tax, I ask what about my deposit of $80, he answers this amount is after the deposit and that shipping and handling is not included, the price is incorrect, the tires are worth more and such and keeps talking trying to make an issue again!
I tell Ethan, Ethan please, the final amount for the second set of tires is $535.92 plus taxes minus the $80 deposit. Ethan takes a second look and he confirms yes, that was accurate and then proceeded to tell me about the TPS monitoring that is charged extra for $6.99 each. I agree to that as being extra and nothing more. I asked Ethan to write this down on my confirmation paper so that this kind of rip off or confusion will not happen again tomorrow.
I leave the store, come back home and I contact customer service and explained the situation to the nice lady that attended. She gave me her word that she would pass this info to corporate and that someone would definitely contact me tomorrow.
I am hoping someone will, regardless I will be posting this review in every possible place on review sites online as no one should be having such a bad customer experience and people like Steve should know such behavior is not appreciated by anyone nor should a person with his attitude work anywhere in a customer oriented environment.

Desired outcome: Steve should be reprimanded for his action and Mavis should reimburse me for the abuse I endured

Mavis Discount Tire Tire warranty

We bought four brand new tires one year ago and found a nail in one tire. We went to Mavis and they responded that we would be paying 71% of the full price of the tire. 2 1/2 hours later the tire was installed. The people are incredibly rude, unprofessional, slow and not willing to help in anyway. We asked if there was a discount on the tire and they said no.
Since we had such a bad experience the first time when we bought the tires a year ago, we are very skeptical about the installation and safety of this tire. The first time was the worst experience I've ever had at a tire store. They not only ordered the wrong tires and installed them but after we realize there was a horrible noise coming out of the car, we brought it back to find out they put the wrong tires on which caused damage. Here we are again and I'm worried that there's going to be issues. The only reason we went back was because there was a warranty.

Mavis Discount Tire Service

Went to the location on [protected] to have a new tire put on. Was there for 4 1/2 hours with my car sitting in the same place only to have someone who came a hour after have their vehicle pull to the back. The service guy didn't care when I spoke with him. Took my keys and went to another tire company. Would never recommend anyone to go to that location. Very unprofessional

Mavis Discount Tire Store manager in Ramsey, NJ lied and hung up on me

I brought my car in to check the brakes and change my oil. The store manager Tom, in Ramsey, NJ called me and said best case scenario $1297 worst case scenario is $1597 if I have to do 2 calipers. I will try to do one. Guy calls me and tells me my car is ready they had to only 1 caliper and the total is $1897.
I said how could this be, you quoted me these 2 prices and he said let me look and then said Oh its $1678. I said how could that be when you quoted me so different on the phone. I wrote it down. So when we got to pick up my car, Tom ws not there and I said I wanted to know how I got 3 different prices. So he calls Tom on the phone, I said what's going on, this is what you quoted me.
He started yelling at me, that's not what I said and hung up on me. The useless person behind the counter would not give us Tom's last name.
We have been long time customers, my son goes there. Well not anymore,
Mavis Tire is a rip off. I will tell all of my friends about this horrendous experience and the nastiness of a store manager. I was director of customer service for a big jewelry company and our managers were fired if they displayed any of this with a customer.
This was a total rip off and I want the difference of $500 back.
Mavis has lost me and my family as a customer and I will file a complaint with the better business bureau.
If this is how your business runs you are going to lose many many customers.

Mavis Discount Tire Service

Attached is 2 receipts. The first is where I paid for lifetime balance on tires I purchased. When I returned for balance I was told my wheels were bent and the tires could not be balanced. The second is where I took the tires to another tire shop and watched them balance the tires. NO wheels were bent. Less than 5 Oz. of weight was added/ tire.

Mavis Discount Tire Brake pads & rotors

Sept 3, 2021, Worst experience. Waited 4 hours for brake pad/rotor installation. Car finally delivered but with clicking noise in brakes. Back to the lift "to fix a bent tab." Second delivery and parking brake would not hold. Back to the lift where Tech using a long bar for some sort of adjustment. A simple job like this taking 4 hours makes me think Tech was incompetent or needs to go back to Brakes 10l. Called your Customer Svc to go through long menu of contacts and finally got a person who told me Regional Mgr would be in touch. Nothing. Was told I would get military discount. Nothing. I am now concerned work was done correctly.
Will have serious thoughts of dealing with Mavis for the future.

Mavis Discount Tire Service to brakes rotors and calipers

Mavis tire replaced my brakes, rotors, and calipers in March 2021. On August 4th I was driving down the road and the caliper on the front left tire completely fell off, locking up my front tire and causing me to almost wreck and shredding my front tire. I contacted the Buford, store on multiple attempts to resolve issue. The manger, ONiel, refuses to return my calls. I contacted customer support and was put in contact with Reginal Manager, John Zaucha. John, in a phone call, asked me to email him photos of the damage and receipts from the Tow, repair, and new tires and that Mavis would pay for the damages. He also said he would send me a email confirmation. After serval attempts to reach John by email and phone, he refuses to respond to me and follow through with anything he has said. It has been over three weeks since the incident and would like this matter be resolved as soon as possible.

Desired outcome: to receive a check in the amount of $945.54 for damages and expenses.

Mavis Discount Tire Install a rubber valve tire

I bought tires online by Goodyear and installation in mavis of Lodi New Jersey on April 12 2021.
Today I left on the location upon mentioned one tire because it has leaking air from the tpms . So the front desk called Joe charge me almost 25 dollars for instal a rubber valve because my tpms was damage he said.
As a customer I found totally expensive and unprofessional charge this amount for a rubber valve . I'm former of Firestone and I never seen charge a customer for replace a simple rubber valve when the tpms is damage and customer refuse to buy a tpms sensor .

Mavis Discount Tire Employee

I went to do expection on my car 779 central ave Yonkers NY and person in charge of doing expection frank was trying to overcharge me telling me I need new brakes, new sensors and new 4 tires and everything would be 900.00 and only cash I went for second opinion somewhere else and was a lie did not need all that work to pass my expection, I had it done in another place only pay 37 dollars.
