Marathon Oil I feel like you guys committed fraud

This gas station looks fairly new. I feel like you guys committed fraud. You buy a tank of gas and then change the prices. It went up almost $.30 in three days. The gas station does not accept debit cards as cash as Exxon just down the road does so it’s $.10 more a gallon. I go inside to pay cash. I asked the guy to put my royal rewards numbers in. He says he can’t do it. I’m like OK so I go back outside I hidden my rewards number and then it says pay inside, I click pay inside it says begin fueling nothing happens. I go back inside and the guy starts yelling at me that I caused the pump to have a problem. I said I’m just following the instructions on the pump. Maybe you need to change the instructions on your pumps. Throw my money at me and I leave, I go about three seconds down the road where the gas is $.10 cheaper and I can use a credit card or a debit card or pay cash. I’ll cost the same. I will never use this gas station again. The man behind it said he had 30 years of experience. I feel if you’ve bought a tank of gas for a certain amount of money then the gas should stay that price until you’re done with the tanks that you bought at that price. Jersey Turnpike is not allowed to change their gas prices until they put in a new tank. New York state most gas stations. Don’t change the prices until they get a new tank of gas. BJ’s warehouse doesn’t change the price of their gas until they put in a new gas. It’s such a rip off that you can fluctuate your prices day-to-day according to the stock market. Be like if a guy buys a piece of meat for a dollar sells it for $1.25 and then sees meat went up $.25 same meat that he paid a dollar he’s not gonna charge $1.50 no it’s gonna buy his meat that’s what’s gonna happen to this gas station.

Marathon Oil Customer service

Arrived at Marathon in Washington NJ (323 NJ-31 S) and waiting a few for the attendant who was on his phone. Once attendant walk over I requested $30 gas and the attendant went back to the office on the phone. After waiting a while for the attendant to return as the gas pump has stopped, I blew the horn to alert him. The attendant came over in rage that I blew the horn and as I was proceeding to leave stuck up his middle finger. I turned around to ask why such behavior and to request my receipt. The attendant rudely stated that he gave me the finger because I had no business blowing the horn at him. I explained he should have been paying attention to his job responsibility and less on his phone and he responded I am entitled to a break. There was some shouting and inappropriate language used. I advised the attendant I will be reporting this incident which he responded he did not care.

Requesting a callback at [protected].

Desired outcome: Would like to speak to the manager or owner

Marathon Oil Customer service

On October 24th of this year, the group I was with was riding through Brevard, NC. We had stopped for gas, we had 16 bikes. One of our chapter members went inside and asked the lady for the bathroom. The following is what I was told. She stated it was closed. He asked if there was something out back and then she told him to leave. This part I know for fact, she then locked the door behind him and then shut off the pumps from those getting gas. She then opened the door and asked us to leave and called the police. Before we knew it, the police arrived. Myself, and two other chapter officers talked to the patrolman, who said she wanted us to leave with no cause. Stated we are banned from this establishment and we would be arrested if we came back. The police officer did not provide us with her name. She is an older WF with dark hair about 5'7" +-. We ARE NOT a motorcycle gang, we are part of the HOG Group. As a business owner myself, this was unprovoked and unacceptable. The interaction was only with one member and not the group. Reading online complaints with this particular store this has been going on for 5 years where people complained about this worker and nothing has been done. If it is necessary, we will hire an attorney to resolve this. We all reside in Clarksville, TN and this establishment is located in Pisgah Forest, NC. The address is 930 Ashville Hwy. Additional store information is Zero Point 84 Asheville Hwy. The telephone number is [protected]. Thank you for your time.

Desired outcome: I asked this worker be fired and a written apology be sent to our HOG Chapter and that we are allowed to visit that store if we choose to with no repercussion.

Marathon Oil Convenience Store clerk

Today at around 1pm I purchased gasoline at your station 7013 E 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46226. After filling up, I went into the convenience store to purchase a soft drink and some crackers. I believe that the total cost of this would have been around $4.00. Instead the clerk charged me $6.57 due to what showed up on the register screen as a "Grocery Tax." This is clearly ridiculous and dishonest. I am skeptical that he charges all of the customers this "tax."

The amount is minor but this is despicable.

Desired outcome: "I would like them to quit cheating their customers!"

Marathon Oil Unkept Store

To Whom It May Concern,

Hello,

I am a regular customer at the Mio, MI Marathon Gas Station and I have a few complaints about this store. For one some pumps are down not working correctly. Two the pavement area outside the store looks dismal and not very well kept up at all. The store looks shabby outside of it and inside as well. Floors and rugs are rarely kept up on. There isn't a good variety of things in the store. Not alot of Arizona tea options. Alot of junk food but no alot of other food options besides pizza or other junk foods. It's not very inviting to hunters that come up as well I've noticed.

Desired outcome: Put some pride back into your stores. Expand the store if need be. Get the pavement fixed around the store so people don't trip on anything and hurt themselves. Get more people working the tills especially during busy seasons.

Marathon Oil Gas Price

I have been doing business with the Marathon at 610 Shurling Dr Macon, Ga. Starting roughly 2 months ago I would use my rewards program and suddenly that is the cash price. They are charging the full amount if you use your debit card. I approached the cashier (very rude) and she informed that is the cash price (which cash price is not on the sign). What is the purpose of the rewards program if you cannot use a debit card, which I have used previously, many times. I called the Dept of Agriculture and they are sending an investigator to check

Desired outcome: Correct pricing

Marathon Oil Wanted two packs of cigarettes and scratch offs

I was in your store in International Falls Minnesota on July 19th at around 8:00 p.m. on 17th Street and highway 53. I walked into the store looked around went to the counter asked for two packs of cigarettes and was going to ask for scratch offs and use my debit card your sales associate not sure his name tall Baldish with a big wart on his face. I have had a run with him about a year or two ago and quit going there because of the way he was treating this elderly man and me. I thought I would give you guys another try and sure enough he was working and he got belligerent called me a [censored] said get the f*** out of my store. He had said that I could not use my debit card to get scratch offs. With the other associates I was able to use my debit card. I told him that I have used it in here before and he called me a liar and said he would not serve me as I walked out the door he come after me yelling and screaming and still calling me a liar. This is not acceptable this employee must go I am not the only one that he has yelled and screamed at and was belligerent. I can't believe that you have this man still in your business. I will no longer do business with this gas station Marathon until he is removed again I am not the only one that feels this way. I am a sales associate myself if I was to treat any of my customers like this I would be fired immediately. If this is the kind of people you have working for your store then you will lose business which I'm sure you have. I have experience good with other sales associates but this one is terrible and it's not the first time no respect for your clients rude belligerent he needs to go. I am disgusted that he is still there. I am 61 years. I will not tolerate the kind of rudeness this man put upon me. A very concerned customer Brenda Bradburn.

Desired outcome: This man should be fired

Marathon Oil Ongoing terrible treatment

Ever since I got my partner Tonya an apartment so she and I can be closer together I been pretty much harassed by most of the staff at the Marathon station next door to her apartment complex. I admit to dropping losing lottery scratch offs out of frustration. One time I went in to the Marathon to get a Coke. The clerk berated me for dropping lottery tickets which I know others do as well. A better way is to professionally say simply to throw the losing tickets in the trash. I do not play scratch offs as much anymore so I don't get frustrated anymore.
The next incident comes a few months later. By habit I would park my car at this Marathon so I would drop stuff off at Tonya's apartment on my way to my job. One time I met the manager for the first time. She was belligerent and instead of in a professional way of telling me not to park if not a customer SHE BAWLED ME OUT. The lady's name is Lillian. The first nasty clerk goes by the name Angie.
Well the latest belligerent affair took place yesterday. I was on my way to my job. I went into this Marathon to use the restroom. Apparently I was in a hurry and must've forgotten to lift the lid. Well as me and another customer were leaving. The on duty clerk was having a cigarette break. He signals me to roll down the car window. The guy immediately jumps on my case over leaving pee on the toilet seat. Saying I am a grown man and shouldn't leave pee on the seat. I made a simple accident that hundreds of other guys do taking a leak. The whole thing was taken too far as like the confrontations with the ladies. But as usual I was pretty much "singled out". There must be a team grudge act. The guy insisted to me while yelling at me was on the phone with "his boss". The guy was on his phone the entire time. Further down the road to my job I call the Marathon to apologize for not lifting the lid. The guy didn't accept and in a blunt way saying "I can't take this" etc. before hanging up I reply that the place holds a grudge against me

Desired outcome: Reprimand of staff to treat customers better and Lillian the manager fired

Marathon Oil Safety and health concerns

No paper towels or sanitizer at pumps. Bought Gas and Air and wanted to sanitize with Covid and possible bacteria. All pumps without paper towels or sanatizers. Went inside and mentioned it to the woman behind the counter and saw a paper towel dispenser behind and asked for a few and the woman said. NO! they aren't for me and then yelled with hand in air to get out. I left and she locked me out of the store yelling at me. A local officer pulled in and lent me some of his own sanitizer. He also went in and paid her a visit to update her on basic safety procedures. Does Marathon update their stores to explain the pandemic and institute cleanliness at this time? I will choose other gas stations in the neighborhood

Marathon Oil gas hose

Date of incident 10/16/19 at around 3:15 PM. Started pumping gas and the gas started gushing out and squirting everywhere out of the gas hose due to a cut in the gas hose. The gas price went up to $9.55 (none of which even went into my car). The gas soaked mainly my boots/socks, but also squirt my sweater and jeans. My car also smells terrible of gasoline as well as I had to drive off with gasoline soaked boots. I do have a picture of cut hose, but had difficulty adding photo from my cell phone.

Marathon Oil rude employer

On Wednesday June 19, 2019 around 7:00 am my husband and I stopped at this Marathon gas station to get gas. He went in and paid for $10 in gas. He came back out and pumped the gas. We then went and parked in one of the many parking places that they have. My husband noticed that the ground had been recently disturbed and being the man that he is proceeded to get out and started looking for Indian artifacts. After a short while a store employer came out and told him that he had to leave. He wasnt doing anything wrong. All he was doing was picking up rocks or objects that was laying on top of the ground. From my understanding there is nothing wrong with walking around for a little while and picking up objects on the ground. He didnt bother any of the ground or there signs or any other things that was out there. All he was doing was streching his legs and looking for rocks. He wasnt in the way or bothering other paying customers. But the lady was very rude and told him to leave. We was also trying to kill a little time until the scrap yard down the road opened up. We left but it bothered my husband as well as myself very much. We will not be returning to that store anymore. Instead we will go to the one right across the road. If we are in the wrong then i do apologize, but if we are not then she needs to be corrected that paying customers can walk around on the property, looking for rocks or not. Please let me know what you think of this matter. You may contact me at [protected]. Or email me at [protected]@gmail.com. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Marathon Oil items that were on sale. they had different totes with different prices. most of the tote said $0.75 the other tote said $3

I picked out two meow mix package of cat food out of the $0.75 bin. Adam, the assistant manager of the cheboygan Michigan location was very rude to me and told me that the cat food was a 1.50. I continue to explain to him that there was no 1.50 bin there was only a $3 Bin and 75 cent bin which the cat food was in the 75 cent bin. he told me it doesn't matter that it was in a different pen he will not give it to me for $0.75. at this point I am super frustrated because I completely got false information from Adam which is not very good customer service representative. then I had to reach out to the general manager to get the price reduction to the right price of what's been I grabbed it out of. To avoid customers confusion and false advertising you should put a sign on the bend stating $3 or less instead of individually bi each being $0.75 or $3 because the cat food was a 1.50, intern not having a 1.50 bin I will not be going back to the store were Adam, the assistant manager, is working because he is very rude disrespectful and does not put his customers first

the bins should state that there's a variety of pricing in each bin not have a bin just for a $0.75 not have a been just for $3 because there is priced items in between those two prices which in turn gives customers false information, and frustration with the employees do not have the proper training to deal with situations like this, especially as an assistant manager
