MAPCO I was accused of stealing a butterfinger and the store location called the police on me

On 11/08/2018 @3:30pm the police was called to 1505 E. Brooks Road Memphis TN 38116 by the Clerk on duty on Me (Tabitha Renee Jordan) falsely accused of stealing a Butterfinger the day before 11/07/2018. Now on 11/07/2018 I spent a total of 13.00 on coffee, a bottle of water, banana, and a pack of Newport shorts, I was never asked to leave the property nor was I told U was barred. So on 11/08/2018 I go back to the exact same location use the bathroom and walk back out. I stay in the hotel (Manguson Hotel) next door from this location but do to the construction work on sight I was waiting for a Lyft ride and I told them to meet me at the Mapco (1505 E. Brooks Road) next door. As I was waiting for my ride I was approached by two officers Asking For my Id. I asked the officers what was the reason they were asking for my id and they stated that the clerk inside called and told them I was barred off the property. I asked why? And one officer stated he didn't know so he went inside to ask the clerk. He returned back and stated because I supposively had stolen a Butterfinger the day before. I asked the officers could they show me where I was stealing or show me some paperwork I was barred. They couldn't show anything. So they took my id ran my name for warrants and handed my id back and said just stay off the property. I walked across the street called corporate put in a complaint and no one has yet to contact me

MAPCO diesel pump charged me 82.00 for less than a gallon of fuel then kicks off.

I was going to fill up my Diesel truck because Mapco sent me a 11 cent discount thru their rewards system.
This Mapco is located at 9000 Al Hwy 40, Henagar, Alabama Store # 5160
I pulled up to Pump No#1 I swiped my Mapco Rewards card, then my Mastercard payment card, it recalculated the cost of the fuel, just like always.
Thats when the Night Mare began, I pumped for less than 60 seconds, the pump kicked off, I thought it was just backflow issue which happens often I tried to start pumping again, the pump handle went limp, would not start back so I looked at the Pump and the reading on the pump said 27. something gallons and $82.00.
I did not put the pump back up because I was afraid it was going to charge me 82.00 for less than a gallon of Diesel..
So I went inside to tell the cashier she came out looked at the pump, she called her manager, and the manager said it sounded right to her.
By the way there were two other pumps that had Bags on then ( 4 bags 2 pumps) because they were having problems with those as well. They would not tell me why, or give a sacrificing answer.
I visit that station several times a week because I live just 2 miles away...And they would not do any thing about it, not even give me a sacrificing answer to to the problem.
Also the pump would not give me a receipt, I had to go inside to get the receipt, and it looks as if I did get the $82.00 worth.
My truck was on half a tank I was going to fill it up with the 11c off But left with Half a tank and was charged $82.00.
I will fight this through My Master card account too.
Kevin

MAPCO rude employee

Was paying for my purchase, the card I was using had declined, as I was using other card. He kept proclaiming that it was also declined. Which it was clearly not bc I could read the card monitor it was going through. He was very rude and trying to embarrass me in front of other customers. And then didn't want to give me my receipt. There have been several times I go into this particular store while he is working, and every single time I have to ask for my receipt. I feel the customer should be given a receipt every transaction without having to ask n then feeling like it's a big deal for the employee to print it!

MAPCO employee always sleep in the car

I go to mapco before work every morning to get coffee and ice. And every morning I have to wake up the employee and she will have the nerve to get an attitude because I woke her up. So that also means I have to wait on my coffee to brew. When I go in I'm on a time schedule. I've talked to the manager but nothing's being done about it.
Signed HIGHLY FRUSTRATED

MAPCO customer service

Boyfriend went in to get cigarillos. Forgot his ID. He is over 18 and I am 21. She wouldn't let me get my own because she said it was a two part sale but I asked him to go in for me. She was very rude about it. Not happy with her or this experience. We have been in plenty of times and always get the same thing. The fact that I couldn't get what I wanted is what upset me the most.

MAPCO the manager

I went in last week and this was my first time at this Mapco. The manager is very rude, she do not speak nor acknowledge her customers. Customer service skills were very poor! There needs to be a better example shown for employees, especially if you are the a Manager. If anything ruined my day that day, it was definitely that. Customers should always be treated with respect, vise versa.

MAPCO horrible customer service

As I was filling up my tank at your Wildwood Georgia location today 08/25/18 at 8:00 A.M. I walked inside to purchase cigarettes! Of course I walk straight in and stand in line behind a truck driver that the guy employee was taking care of.. as I stood there for a minute your pregnant strawberry blonde haired girl caught me off guard when she was very loud and hateful and says "what do you want?" I smiled and said I need cigarettes.. she said "uh which ones?" I then said I would like to get the Marlboro special blend light 100's and do you have the 3 pack special? She then yelled "YES WE ARE MAPCO SO YEAH WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT?" I then at this point was very frustrated in the way she treated me so I said no you can't do anything for me you are a smart [censored] and I WILL be reporting you to cooperate! I held my cool the entire time your employee was rude and hateful but I'm letting you know right now you have lost my business because never will I ever spend my money anywhere that I'm treated this horrible.. Being an owner of a business and dealing with public my entire life and having this experience with your employee today.. My advice to you is to get rid of her NOW.. she is NO good for business and dealing with the public!

MAPCO being carded for beer sales

I was carded for beer which is no big deal because my id was in the car. After retrieving my id a customer in front of me purchased beer with just a debit card. They weren't asked for their id. I politely asked after the customer left why choose to id me but not anyone else. Im 40 years old n look every bit of it. The employee jumped defensive automatically on the border line of anger because i asked. I wish i could call directly to someone but i wasted enough time typing this... Terrible!

MAPCO seriously mate?

Right, this is occurring at the Mapco at Warfield in Clarksville, Tennessee. I overheard a couple of the co-workers threatening violence against a higher official of the store and said "if that was her, she would have gotten cracked in the face!" and I find this kind of talk, rationalization and logic rather disturbing. If the two employees, both african american females, are willing to take their disgruntlement of a higher up out to a violent level, what is stopping them from doing it to a customer? Or a person on the street? This is very disheartening to hear as this was in the open air for any and all customers present to hear, and the store echos voices, so it does not matter where you stand. This happened around 11 PM or so. If anyone is willing to do something about this, please be swift about it. Seriously mate? Violence ain't the answer here, and that comes from a bloke like me!

MAPCO 24 hr location closed late night

The Mapco location at 3271 East Shelby Drive Memphis Tennessee 38118 has been closed every time I have gone there after hours. I'd say roughly between 1 and 4 a.m. I have been at this location 4 to 5 X and the doors are always locked and no one is in sight one time me and another customer for able to be on the door until the black woman came from the back opened up and let us in I'd say she was in her thirties but the other times I haven't been able to get anyone to the door. Tonight at 310 I showed up beating on the door no one came then I called and someone answered the phone and said this location was closed until 4 a.m. I asked if this was an every-night thing and they said yes. I don't consider a store closed for at least an hour or could have been more not a 24-hour store. From what I've seen the employees are in the back sleeping and shutting your store down. Like I said once in about a month out of about five trips have I been served at this location. I suggest you pull your sales records and see what time your sales stop

MAPCO adjoining land owner

I owned the adjacent lot on the Beltline in Decatur Al. I gave up a parcel of land so a turning lane could be installed by state specifications. Marco Construction was contracted to do the construction. I let them use my lot and was given all kinds of promises. Dealt with 3 or 4 different project managers all nice but could not tell the truth. During construction they dug up my water line, phone line, dented metal siding on my building, removed the fence on the back of my lot, and left me with a lot of mud and rough ground. All promised to fix. They never did. Then I started dealing with Mapco. Dealt with 3 or 4 employees and all promised help. It was just like dealing with Marco. All promises but no money and no fix. Around 3 months later, a contractor replaced my water line and that was it. I hope Mapco never needs anything from this landowner again! I don't know why you wanted yours to look so good and didn't give a crap about the adjoining landowners that gave you land to make this happen. Wouldn't do it again. Kenneth Mitchell

MAPCO terrible experience with cashier

Mapco Mart
1280 Church Rd W
Southaven, MS 38671

TERRIBLE service from the cashier. I didn't get his name but he was an African American man wearing glasses on 7/25/2018 around 11:30pm. He didn't speak even though I said hello and asked how he was doing. I purposely paid with cash (a $20 bill) so I could make change for tooth fairy money for my daughters first time losing a tooth but he refused to break down my $10 bill even though he had a drawer full of 5's and 1's because he said he needed to keep them. If he didn't have change I would've understood but I could physically see that he had a stack of fives and ones. I thought the cash in his cash register was there to give change to his customers. But apparently it's for him to look at. Besides, I only needed him to breakdown one 10 dollar bill while he was giving me back my change. I even explained why I needed him to give back the change any other way and he simply said "no." Not to mention he didn't ask if I had a rewards card when I checked out and when I said I had one he just said "sorry. Can't go back." And repeated my total. My husband and I fill up our 3 vehicles here every week. 1 diesel and 2 regular gas. That's about $200 in gas alone and We stop here usually a few times a week for milk or drinks or odd and end things. So we spend closer to $250 or more a week in this store but after this we will never be back. we will happily go across the street to avoid anymore terrible customer service and a hostile cashier. It's a shame when the police officer shopping in there says "he's always like that. Don't let it bother you." Customers shouldn't have to get used to Mapco's employees being rude to them. Such a shame. If you don't like working in customer service then simply don't. Get a job where you don't have to talk to people. I never realized a gas station attendant could ruin a person's first tooth fairy experience.

MAPCO I am writing to complain about the mapco mart #3159 on brooks rd., memphis, tn

I go into this store at least once or twice a week and spend a MINIMUM of $30, especially on Fridays. On one of the visits a very nonchalant young lady gave me two drummie pieces and charged me full price which I didn't notice until I got home because I was "rushed". On another occasion, I was "shorted" two wings on a 20-piece order in which three of them were full of feathers. This last time, which was 6/8/2018, I ordered 8 hot wings and 2 barbecue flavored wings and the lady behind the counter told me "you have to get 10 pieces minimum" -- I repeated what I said and she said "oh"... I also told her I would appreciate it if she didn't give me the wing on top with the feathers on it. She proceeded to bag my order and to put the tray back in the display window and said "you see it's still in there I didn't give it to you." I was appalled. When I got home I was shorted 2 drummies again, even after the math lesson we had prior. I started calling the store that evening all the way until the next afternoon and got only a busy signal. Later on that evening I got through and spoke with a manager who explained to me they were having phone issues, apologized, then took my name and asked me to see the food manager the next week (after giving me her schedule0 to tell her what happened. Not only did I go up there 2 days, I called and was told a totally different work schedule for her which is during my work hours. I feel like I am being taken full advantage of and given the "run-around" because those "shorts" add up each time and I will NOT continue to be subjected to the rude and trifling behavior at MY expense. My resolve would be for you to be fair and do what YOU think is right.

Thank you for this platform to voice my experience.

MAPCO employees/ rewards card

I stopped at the Mapco station in Westmoreland yesterday before going to work. There were two female employees standing outside talking and smoking. I handed one of the females $30.00 and told her I wanted to fill up but wasn't how much it would hold. It held $22.00 . When I went in to get my change I had my rewards card in my hand and showed it to the woman and she told me that I couldn't use it that it was too late. Needless to say I was upset. If they are nit going to honor the card they do not need to be employed there. It's no really the money it's the principle' the gas was $2.58 without the card and $2.55 with the card. And she didn't offer me a receipt.

MAPCO customer service line

I was called back at 6:02 pm by your customer resolution line and Michael tried to mute the call and bring Ron from technical support in. Well I heard everything they said. Michael made fun of me for being upset that I couldn't access my .30 reward. He couldn't imagine how much time I spent complaining about this. Ron said to go ahead and patch the f-ing genuis in. When I confronted them about it they acted like they knew nothing about what I was talking about and told me to watch my language. They said they never muted that conversation. They never had that conversation. When I told them I was going to complain about it and hung up on them Ron called me back at 6:09 and called me Captain Obvious. He told me I needed to give him the respect that was due him. I repeated for him Verbatim what they said. I feel harassed and belittled by your company employees. I called to get a situation resolved and I get treated horribly by your Resolution Team. I get made fun of because I want to get something that my card says I'm entitled to but I can never access it. I don't even know why I use Mapco anymore. I'm just treated horribly by your employees.

MAPCO customer service

Every time I call your customer service line I am on hold for 20 minutes before I hang up because nobody answers the call. Your new rewards program leaves at bed taste in my mouth. This used to be a good program. You screwed up my email. I don't get $.10 off emails anymore. If I want gas savings I have to buy products in the store. I'm very upset. This is bogus. I can't get in touch with a live person. My account says I have $.30 off and it won't let me have it. My $30 didn't even fill my car at Hal a tank! I merged my account from [protected]@hotmail.com to [protected]@gmail.com and when you made me verify my account when you redid your rewards loyalty program it switch back to my old Hotmail account. Now I no longer get emails for the savings on Thursdays and Sundays. This is not even beneficial to me. I'm spending money to get money off on gas. How is that helpful to me? I should just switch over to another gas station. Or use Krogers. If I spend enough money I can get $0.10 off there any day of the week. Everybody needs groceries. If you ever get a live person you can contact me at [protected]. That's if you even care about your customers anymore.

MAPCO being charged the wrong amount on bank statement

On May 24th I prepaid for $25 inside the store with my bank card I asked the associate if my car doesn't take that much do I need to come back in. The associate stated that mapco will only charge what I pump. So today I decided to check my account because I just got back in the states. However, my statement shows $25 instead of $17.

MAPCO service

I went to the Mapco on Dunbar Cave R. and Wilma Rudolf Blvd. in Clarksville, TN. 37043 it was approx. 1:15 pm. On 5/7/18 monday. I was buying gas I had 3 paper dollar bills 4 quarters and some mixed change I think it was 1 quarter, 6 dimes a couple of nickles and 10 pennies to make the total 5 dollars. I put the money down and even separated it for the woman. She gave me the nastiest look! She took 5 mins to turn the pump on for me. I went back in to tell her to turn on the pump. I told her can you turn on the pump? She yelled at me as I exited the door "I had to count the money"! Really? I already separated it for her she could see it was 5.00. She then yelled at me it took me and two other customers to count it! Sorry, but she either was one dumb black b[censored]. Or she wanted to give a white person grief and show me how powerful she was. So I pumped my gas the pump turned off after only 4.80 so I had to go back in. I told her, it was 5 dollars not 4.80. She disagreed with me so then I simply left. I couldn't waste any more time on that nasty person. She should be written up for that it wasn't a big deal the way she turned it into one!

MAPCO I am a 32 year old white male and I am filing a complaint about a young black female clerk at one of your stores.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. on Friday evening (April 27, 2018), I visited the Mapco Express Mart, located on Winchester Avenue in the Kirby Parkway vicinity of East Memphis. I don't know the address, but the store is located approximately 2 blocks east of Ridgeway and Winchester on the north side of the street.

The young lady working the register was busy talking on her phone with her Bluetooth in her ear. The line grew increasingly long because the clerk was so busy on her phone that she could not adequately accommodate the customers. I was in line behind a middle aged black female, who asked for "$30 worth of gasoline on pump #8." The clerk asked, "What Mapco number/" The customer said again, $30 on pump #8, " obviously not understanding the clerk may have been asking if she had a Mapco card with a Mapco number.

Instead of the young lady clarifying that she was asking if the lady had a Mapco card with a Mapco number or simply taking the lady's $30 and setting pump #8 for that amount, she continued to talk to her party on the phone, all while making the following rude statement right in the lady's face:
"Shut up, little girl; don't say nothing. See she older. She too old to know what I'm talking about." The female grew angry, but it was obvious to all of the other customers in line, who heard this rude clerk, that this was an educated and refined person in her mid to late forties, who could have really torn that store up with that skinny little girl, had she wanted to do so. Certainly, at the very least, she could have made a real ugly scene in retaliation for the clerk's rude remarks.

I immediately wondered how many clerks have been cursed at, beaten, or even killed because of some rude comment they may have made or simply being impatient with customers. This young lady is certainly a candidate for some serious customer service training. If talking on the phone to her boyfriend while waiting on customers, wasn't bad enough, she openly insulted a customer, who could have jerked her over that countered and wiped the floor with her little scrawny body.

If these are the kinds of clerks your company is hiring, the company can get ready for a plethora of complaints or worse; fights between customers and Mapco employees. Most people, tired and irritated after perhaps experiencing a harrowing day at work, are not going to be "turn the other cheek" kinds of people like this female customer was.
