Mango Airlines unprofessional behaviour

Dear Sir or Madam

I sent the following email to mango airlines and to date I have not received a response from them. I am not sure where to go to now.

I am completely disappointed with the treatment that I received this morning (04 July 2019) from you staff and ACSA's staff. I had a plane to catch JE241 to Durban with my family. I was at the airport at 5:20 and I had already done my online booking and received my boarding passes. When we got to the gates our passes could not scan after having waited for over 5 minutes. We sent the passes to another phone and only one could scan and we were referred back to the counter to print the tickets. The ladies at the gate then allowed only one passenger to go in and they said the rest are offloaded and we should go for standby. When we got there we were told that not all might go into the same flight and there would be additional fees. I had a meeting that I had to attend and had to book with another airline as there were no seats on the next flight. I need this matter to be responded to as I feel I did not deserve this treatment. I had to spend additional money which I did not plan for. This incident affected my wife so much when we were boarding She fainted.

Mango Airlines stolen items

When I got home and decided to unpack I noticed my luggage had been tossed around and my perfume box was on the top, opened. As I look further i noticed not only one but 2 of my perfumes were missing from my bag.

How does this airline expect us to continue travelling with them if such standards are so pathetic in security. A relative of mine was also a victim of this crime and yet Fly Mango chooses to do nothing about this ongoing problem.

Pathetic service!

Mango Airlines damage to my bag

On 22 July 2019 I flew on a mango fight from DBN to CT (JE 337) on arrival in CT International to collect my 12kg checked in luggage, I found that the hard plastic cover of the case with one wheel was ripped off. I complained to the mango counter (Complaint reference 23931) and there was no responsibility acknowledged except to tell me that ACSA handles the baggage (which ACSA denies and says the airlines do it) - and further more the counter staff said i have no travel insurance so its not their responsibility. I find this response unacceptable as it is not wear and tear but a gross negligent act that has damaged my bag.
Please can you attend to this urgently. This is simple not acceptable.

Mango Airlines flight je147 09 jul 2019 waz

Dear Sir/Madam

I was stopped abruptly, with no information, before moving inside the plane and my hand lugguage was taken away from me, without securing it.
I have now lost a laptop from the hand lugguage, reference given to me for the hand lugguage is [protected].
Please advise urgently as I have all my data on it.

I have been waiting for weeks for a refund for a duplicated booking and payment. The help from Mangorefunds, Guestcare, and other email addresses is almost nonexsitant.

Is this normal practice FlyMango?

Mango Airlines flights are always delayed

We always make the same mistake of booking flights on Mango airlines and every single time they have a few hours of delays. It's the norm with them and they get of Scott free with no repercussions. As consumers we are made to waste hours of our time due to Mango airlines inefficiency. When you contact them they could care less for their delays. This airline needs to be grounded until they get their affairs in order and not offer a service that they are pathetic at.

Mango Airlines luggage

Good day, i hope you people will take of my freaking complaint. What the heck, nay man the flight is already freaking expensive, on top the workers don't f£cken care about your luggage. My aunt suitcase is in the maai in. How the freak can we be satisfy. Will we get a refund or evens an apology. Please i want a respond and please stop employing lazy assets. Jeez im [censored]ing dissappoint, most cheap service ever

Mango Airlines problems on mango's website

5 June 2019.
I went onto Mango's website and saw there was a special on flights from Cape Town to Durban at R499.00. Thought I would book, clicked on the flights and was met with the prices suddenly being different. Contacted the customer care line to ask for assistance and was met with a "well the system hasn't updated so book another flight." When I complained and said but it's not my fault if your website says otherwise. He said that at 3pm the tickets had stopped selling at that price and it would reflect shortly. I went back on at 3.20pm and the prices are still the same.

Awful customer service and once again I am left to wonder what happened to an airline that was usually top class...

Mango Airlines flight delay/cancellation

[censored] your [censored]ty [censored]ing airline. You piece of [censored] [censored]. Your lack of communication baffles me.
How do you run an airline, take peoples money and have the audacity to not communicate with them.
Your airline is [censored]ty. Your staff are rude and I hope people start realizing it.
So once again, a massive capital [censored] YOU Mango. Go fly yourself to hell.

Mango Airlines flight je 284 mango

Flight JE 284 from Durban to Johannesburg on 4 May 2019 has reference:-

1. The Mango Airline's attendant at King Shaka International Airport struggled for almost 20 minutes to capture my passport and visa information. Two other Mango employees came to assist and eventually my bags were checked in. Unfortunately, my boarding at Johannesburg was delayed due to incorrectly capturing of information. This was confirmed by the flight attendant of SA 0264 and only the supervisor could override the system to allow my boarding. It resulted that everybody could board before me and I had to wait at the front desk. This has never happened with me with the same passport and multiple entry Schengen visa (November, 2018 I used Turkish Airlines and April, 2018 Qatar Airwaves for same business purpose).

2. I requested an emergency due to my length (1.92m) and was told I could have the middle seat of one of the emergency seats on that flight. The same attendant confirm this that captured my passport information. She even asked me questions if I were able to assist fellow passengers in case of an emergency etc. When I eventually boarded the plane I was seated on 11 F one row in front of the emergency seats! So much for confirming the type of seat as requested. What was worse on that flight, the airplane was fully loaded and the leg space of all the normal seats below industry norms. Numerous other passengers vocally offered their shocked and disbelieve on the available leg space in economy class for that particular flight. It was an hour of intense pain, being squashed in the window seat with severe limited legroom for that hour or so. Never do I want to experience such physical abuse again by a company!

3. The same attendant confirmed my final destination as Helsinki Airport, Finland. She told me that I must collect my bags (2 checked in bags) at the Munich Airport. I objected as it did not make sense and she just responded that this is your policy! At arrival on Saturday morning in Munich Airport, I had to wait 40 minutes for my luggage at the carousel of Terminal 2 and then re-checked the same at Terminal 1 for my flight to Helsinki. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight. Lufthansa was very helpful in securing another flight without any cost, unfortunately only 3 hours later. The gentleman at the ticket-desk from Lufthansa was shocked and verbally stated that it did not make sense for me to re-check my baggage at Munich Airport. He retorted that it border on incompetence from your airline.

Mango Airlines my baggage was now damaged and my valuable clothes was stolen

I flew from Cape town to Durban on flite number JE364 my wife and myself
Our flite left Cape Town at 8.00pm.

We landed at 10 pm in Durban at King Shaka Airport.
Our bags were broken and damaged and my clothes were stolen
My lock on both my bags were broken.
One full ADIDAS Blue with White stripe track suite.
Valuable T shirts Armani shirts were taken.

When we arrived at the hotel and opened the bags we found our clothes in a mess and stolen.

Mango Airlines delayed flights

I am most disappointed With Mango airlines. My son's flight JE369 was delayed for almost 2 hours. The inconvenience that this has caused is unacceptable. He is a student at UCT. He had a cooler bag full of food that was prepared for him which has now defrosted. This is not the first time that this has happened. Planes are turned around all the time and there are always delays We pay a lot of money for our tickets and deserve a better service. I doubt that we would use this airline again and will certainly not recommend it to others

Mango Airlines theft

I Flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg on flight JE 162 departure 17:05 and they stole my Samsung tablet from my travel bag. Very disapointed that there is no proper security measures in place to prevent bag tempering during loading and off loading process, I know the fault is on my side for forgetting to remove the tablet, still shocking that a airline that is so well known can't be trusted.

Mango Airlines unethical behavior, no professional attitude or helpful

Date it happened : 08/03/2019 at Cape Town Airport. My husband and I was flying from Cape Town to Durban and back from Durban to Cape Town (on 11/3/19). When I want to check in my luggage there was enough time to check in. There was 1 person in front of me who checked in. There was nobody else behind me in the queue. The man who work for Mango worked very slowly. It looked if he was half asleep. When the employee at last finished with the man in front of us and it was my turn he told me that I cannot check in anymore because it was 38 minutes before the flight fly to Durban. I told him that I was standing in the queue and could check-in my luggage in on time if he just worked worked faster with the man in front of me. He referred me to the service desk for Mango. I explained everything to the women working their. They just told me that booking in lugguage automatic shut down. I will have to pay an amount of R878.00 for myself and my husband to fly with the next flight to Durban. The next flight was at 09h15 I had to wait for 3 hours for the next flight! Last year I used British Airways and Kalula and the service was very good and professional. I have proof of my payment for R878.00. I want the money back because I wasn't late to check in my luggage. I want an answer from you as soon as possible.

Mango Airlines Baggage fee

I did a long flight journey recently from USA to Paris, Zurich and over to Johannesburg. My flight journey was fine until I got down to South Africa. My flight leg ended in Johannesburg so I purchased a flight to Cape Town. I went on SAA website because I wanted to fly with SAA airlines because they have a bigger baggage allowance and I had 2 bags check in. Otherwise the extra Baggage fee is R300 with SAA. I purchased a flight online & the site gave me a Flight operated by Mango airlines! This has a much different baggage policy & instead of paying R300, I had to pay R1150 at the airport. I do not appreciate and am very unhappy that SAA website sold me a flight operated by Mango & would not uphold the same baggage policy as SAA. I feel I was tricked into buying a flight operated by another airline and then charging me much more for my extra baggage. I also was not able to buy the Mango online Baggage charge at R35 a Kilo and instead had to pay R50 a kilo because of the incompetent worker at SAA who Iputted my date of birth incorrectly the desk agent at Mango told me that I could not be found in the system at mango kiosk to purchase the lesser Mango baggage fee before flying. My birthdate is August 24, 1982. Then I took my hand luggage to fly Mango and there was no space for anything on board so we had to leave all our luggage at the gate and the baggage handlers threw my bags around so that the big wine glass that had flown around the world in perfect condition, was completely crushed when it arrived in Cape Town. As you can see there has been multiple issues on my short flight to Cape Town and this in unacceptable because my entire journey around the world was pleasant and the last 2 hour flight was a nightmare and I was exhausted from my long journey and then I have to deal with all this incompetence and frustrations. I would like a refund of me baggage fee and to claim for my damaged object. I should have been allowed to take a 2nd bag because I flew over from 3 international flights and the airline should look at my paperwork and allow this extra bag to be checked in without a crazy Baggage fee... thank you Gené Maree (Genae) [protected]@yahoo.com +[protected] [protected]

Mango Airlines theft of my money from my luggage during mango flight transit

I took Mango flight today on the 23 February 2019 on Saturday from Linseria Airport in Johannesburg which departed at 07:55am.

In my bag in which the lady who helped me to print my boarding pass at the counter and process my bag for loading in the aircraft was an amount of R652.90 coins.

I checked in my bag at the counter as advised by Mango fly lady who is working at the counter.

When I arrived at my destiny at King Shaka International Airport and I found that my money was no longer in my bag where I kept. It was taken by thieves/employees who proceed my bag for loading or offloading from the aircraft.

Clearly my money has been stolen between after I checked the bag at Linseria Airport and King Shaka Airport where I collected my bag.

I'm disappointed and want my money back.

Mango Airlines booking airline tickets

I am extremely upset I phoned earlier in the week and spoke to a lady by the name I think was tana I had my wife's name and I'd number booked which was wrong the lady told me what I must do she spoke to her supervisor and they said they can do it now for me change my wifes name and her id number to mine for a fee of 390 or I can go on the website and do it myself for a fee of 220 I done exactly what you guys told me to do you flipping took my money my name is right but my flipping I'd number went back to my wife's someone needs to phone me ASAP! to sort this out my number is [protected] or you can phone on my wife's number which is0763134166 this is flipping not right you need to contact me right now this is your systems error not mine I'm waiting I have proof I even took a photo just in case something like this should happen before I dine the payment my flight is on Saturday 14 20 from George to jhb my I'd is [protected]

Mango Airlines flight and charges

I paid for 2 tickets from johannesburg to zanzibar, I booked and paid for the tickets online, payment was done the same day as the booking. I received a confirmation letter from mango with our seat numbers which I had to pay extra for, I also paid extra for over weight baggage which all came up to r16097.36. Payment was done money went off my account. We arrive early morning at 5:30 at or tambo to check in, the lady tells me she cannot find my flight and looks like they cancelled it this morning and that I had to go to mango desk to find out why. The lady behind the counter said to me that payment was not done and was cancelled the day after I had made the booking, and that I would have to pay another r16097.36 to be able to go onto the flight to zanzibar! I then showed her proof of payment on my phone that this was paid for and asked her why her story was different to the lady at the check in, no reply, got up and went to the manager at the back, 5 minutes later she comes back and informs me I have to please send the proof of payment to her manager. Finally after much effort and problems we were able to send it through to her, but it doesn't stop there! She informs me that it was a technical error and will have to find out by the it guys on monday what happened and if my payment reflects, my flight coming back was also cancelled and until then she cannot reinstate my ticket back. I booked and paid for seats, was given other seats, the seat my husband sat on was broken! The seats I booked and paid for was empty... I was told I cannot get my same seats as they were already booked after they cancelled my bookings. I had to leave south africa not knowing if I was going to come back on my day booked. Monday afternoon after emailing mango again regards to my flight coming back, do I get a letter saying sorry yes we found your payment and was an it problem, my flights coming back would be reinstated and if I had a complaint to contact there offices. After weeks arriving at the zanzibar airport to check in, was I told that I did not pay for extra baggage! Finally after a few minutes and getting upset with the poor guy who was sitting behind the desk he just let us through. Once again paid for seats and got onto the plane and was not allocated our paid seats, they hardly had any food which was advertised on the menu in the book, and ran out of ice before they got half way to serve everyone.
I had no contact from them after that, no one referring to seats which I paid for and never received or any managerial person contact so apologize for any inconvenience caused. We had to rush through our breakfast that morning because we were held up for almost an hour at the desk trying to get on a plane with our friends who was traveling with us.
Cannot believe this airline company! Will never use them again,

Mango Airlines refund

Good morning, can someone/anybody please help me with this refund. I am begging for your assistance.
I have submitted all the documents that we requested, I have been informed that the refund was approved December 11 - I am still waiting.
No update. Chantel and Scelo just ignoring all my emails. I am running around after Mango.
I do not think this is fair.

Mango Airlines flight

Hi Mango,

I am disgusted and what just happended, I booked my nanny on a flight down to Durban she had her Zimbabwean ID, you tokd her she couldn't fly with that and needed a photo of her passport or hee passport. So we paid just under R500 to move her flight to the next morning 06/02/2019 and then you willing accept hwr ID and don't even ask her for her passport. Disgusting you just wanted extra money. I find this almost Theft. I demand an explanation for this. And if I don't hear back in 24 hours and going to go on any platform to tell people. I mean I have flown on my british licence before with you but her ID was not good enough on one day but ok on the other. Just diagusting!

Mango Airlines mango damaged my orange tumi bag

The tag they used, it was a hand luggage they said the flight was full and sky checked the bag
They promised that it won't go through conveyor belt as I told them the fabric is delicate

But they did put through conveyor belt and it was damaged even the sticker they put on ripped the fabric
I am unhappy and I want them to fix my bag
