Malindo Airways Not refunding ticket due to medical reason

Applied for refund on 2nd August 2023 with all the relevant documents from hospitals and banking details since then till now no response and no sign for refund every time email comes your refund is under process but been nearly 4 months but no refund .My booking reference number is NUGSOA and Tickets number [protected].My flight was on 5th August from New Delhi india to Perth Australia.

Malindo Airways airline ticket

KZNAED is my PNR...i bought ticket from brisbane to lahore via DPS and Kula lampur on 06 jan 2023, i cant travel due to medical conditions. i requested for a refund but the bloody airline said you will receive the voucher what the hell? what i will do with the voucher when i cant travel even i wont be able to get free time for a 12 months so why i wont get refund as money?b

Malindo Airways Complaint about lost Trolly bag

With due respect,I would like to state that my name is Aarti and I resident of Punjab from Amritsar.On 18/12/2022,I flew from Malaysia airport to Kolkata airport in flight no.OD281

I am writing letter to you in order in order to complain about loss of Trolly bag.I recently encounted on the above said flights.My luggage was checked on18/12/2022 and upon arrival at Kolkata airport.my luggage was not seen which would be considered as lost

Malindo Airways Ticket and reservation

Dear Sir/Madam,

Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Booking JODJFU

I urgently need your help and response in relation to my booking please. We are scheduled to fly next Saturday 24/12/2022. We paid for our ticket and meals for 11 passengers and we still haven’t got our ticket yet.

I have sent numerous email to Sue who’s booked the ticket for us however it has been 4 days I haven’t hear back from her after we paid for all the meals and ticket.

I have tried contact Australian customer services center and I had to wait for 4 hours on the phone and no one answers the call. I called Malaysian customer services center on +[protected] but I select option 1 for English but the machine said no response I cannot get through to anyone. I have completed the query form online since Thursday and no reply. I contacted via what apps and no one attend to my queries it a very hopeless situation.

Could you please send us the ticket as we need to buy the duty free goods and we know that we can fly this coming Saturday 24/12/2022. We have accommodation and everything else booked overseas.

If there is reply by Monday 19/12 and no itinerary could you please process the refund so we can buy the ticket with other airline before it too late.

Your help is much appreciated

Malindo Airways Tickets

I paid for 2 tickets in 2019 and I didn't make my travel due to COVID and Malindo Airway issued 2 Vouchers against tickets. Now I am unable to buy a single flight for 1 person with those 2 vouchers. This is unfair. I have paid for 2 tickets and the company is using my money since 2019. All I need is what I have paid for. I am trying to contact Malindo via e-mail, Telephone and Twitter but no one is responding. Can you please contact me? Thank you

Malindo Airways Voucher and no refund

I have paid 600 AUD for my tickets during COVID time, ticket was cancelled by Malindo air. I have requested for Re-fund or Voucher. I have been chasing quiet long time. Still I haven't received anything. Atleast they have to issue Voucher.

600 AUD is a big money I cant just leave it.

Customer service never reply my emails.

Called customer care, just playing automatic calls for more than 45 min.

Malindo Airways Rescheduling a flight that is 31 hrs late

I would like to complaint about the flight reschedule that has delayed us a day from our destination

I had booked the ticket 6months prior so that and planned all the function dates accordingly.Which is all in the bin now and I have lost all my expenses which cannot be mended as it is too close by with dates.I am surprised with the reason that due to operations matters the flight is delayed.

To add on I have two little kids and two elderly people to manage. Just anywhere in the airport I will be waiting for 31hrs. Atleast consider giving us a booking or a some sort of days benefit with a meal or stay area.

This has never happened with any other flights and it's is very poor way of treating your customers.

Desired outcome: Please look into the matter and provide us with a fair solution cause I cannot cancel the flight in anyway but I definitely need some sort of benefits for the day to make up my lose of money and day.

Malindo Airways Travel Voucher

They cancelled flights for a friend and I that I’d booked. One booking. This was scheduled for June 2020.

I won’t bore with the countless and I responded correspondence to obtain a refund.

Fast forward to june 2022. I emailed them with flights info and details to book using vouchers as was their policy. They informed me you had to now do it online and will issue new vouchers shortly. Weeks later new vouchers arrive and I’ve been arguing ever since to have them book my flights as per my request and I’d pay the difference that it would have been.

5 months later, several emails not responding to the actual question or complaint and where I could have bought the tickets outright myself at the time, I’ll now have to pay an additional $800 per person.

This is just a joke that they can continue. I can send all emails and tickets if required.

Desired outcome: To be booked on the flight I’d request.

Malindo Airways No response after sending request for extended travel voucher/cash refund

This is regarding the extension of the validity of travel coupons that I wrote more than one month ago, and I have got no reply from Malindo.

I have wrote to them several times, and got their 3 ticket reference numbers: 315954, 323169 and 327707. All no response at all!

Malindoair should not simply cancel our flight in the first place, and some more very short notice to me. How can I re-schedule when I have already fixed my travel plan. At that point, I have no option but to purchase another ticket with another airline.

I sincerely hope that Malindo can make the cash refund rather than giving us the travel voucher that I cannot make travel during this one-year period.

Malindo Airways No response after sending request for extended the covid voucher

The booking was made and payed for prior to the flight restrictions.

Some airline companies refunded the charges and others have issued a travel voucher for the cancelled flights with a reissue or renewal every 12 months or until used.

I am writing to request a reissue of the travel voucher for this booking, which was last renewed on May 2021 .If you will not offer a refund then I would at least expect a voucher.

I will continue to report this matter if not solved.

Malindo Airways request to have my voucher reissued. no response its been 4 weeks

Hello I booked flight with Malindo air start of 2020. I was due to depart early May 2020 however due to covid I was unable to travel during this time.

Given the uncertantity of what was happening I requested a refund in which I was advised I would be issued with a voucher.

Happy to take the voucher as long as it was going to be honoured at the time I was able to travel again

It has now been 2 years and we are able to travel. I have emailed Malindo and asked to have my voucher re-issued as I'd like to use it

It's been approx 4 weeks and I keep getting an automated reply that someone will be in touch - still nothing

I have tried to call the customer service number and have been left on hold for 45 minutes. I'm really frustrated and disappointed that I have a voucher I'd like to use and still no help from Malindo air.

Can you please assist as I'd like to book my long overdue holiday

Malindo Airways Cash Refund not received

Our flight HXTSXT was booked for the 12/08/2020. It was cancelled due to pandemic. Originally they gave travel vouchers. But then on 20 November 2020, they sent an email asking for my bank details as they agreed to a cash refund as they permanently cancelled the flight route from Adelaide. I sent my banking details on that day. I am still waiting for the refund. Since then I have sent approximately 25 emails and called several times. Each time I have received a generic email back stating they will get back to me at their earliest convenience and the refund is in process. I received an email on the 15th March 2022 after my persistent emails, stating that I would received my cash refund by latest end of April 2022. I have sent more emails and called 7 times, starting at the beginning of May and they haven't replied to my emails and each time I call they say I will get an email within 2 hours giving me an ETA on my refund. I have not received any such emails. I have been very patient but now I am very frustrated. I'm hoping you can assist in getting my refund to me as I have been waiting almost 2 years

Desired outcome: Full refund of flights that were cancelled ASAP

Malindo Airways Cancelled flight to Bali

Webjet reference [protected].

Webjet gave me the followinf reference numbers

As places are now starting to ease and travel is a possibility I have been looking into booking our trip to bali.

I was hoping to use our credit voucher with malindo however note that they do not appear now to fly direct to bali, the flight times are between 10 - 16hrs whereas our original trip was 3.5hrs.

In addition to this the times they fly are terrible and also they are very expensive compared to other airlines.

With a young family it is not acceptable to to have the children on a plane or sat at an airport for 16hrs when it could be achieved in 3.5hrs as per our original booking.

As malindo are not offering the service we originally paid for can I please request you submit a claim for compensation of the $839.96.

We have tried to sort this out with webjet and they have told me to contact you.

If you are not willing to refund the money can you please tell me the ombudsman that I can contact.

Malindo Airways Travel refund not received

I first contacted Malindo in March 2020 when our flight out of India was cancelled. They assured me that I would receive a refund and I filled in the form requesting a refund. However a couple of weeks later I received an email saying I would receive a travel voucher. I wrote back and advised they said I would get a refund, but their policy changed.
Since then I have received 3 updated travel vouchers, each time me writing back to Malindo and requesting a refund.
I live in Australia and cannot see us travelling any time soon.

Malindo Airways Cash refund

"Malindo Air has reviewed the refund applications for Sydney and Adelaide and wishes to confirm that the refund request will now be processed in the form of a cash refund. For passengers who have received travel vouchers for the Sydney and Adelaide flights, Malindo Air will invalidate the vouchers and offer a cash settlement"

This unethical airlines sent a message in Nov 2020 and kept dragging the issue until now. Now they are not offering cash refund and stopped replying.

Please all affected contact ABC news channel, current affairs and today tonight to report Malindo airlines fraud. We need to make this big and ban this airlines.

Cancel by malindo airline and was rechedule to
06th june 2021 from penang to subang
07th june 2021 from klia1 to kathmandu and was cancelled again by malindo airline. Whwn I requested for refund they are issue voucher in return. It make so difficult to claim back and also. When we call the malindo staff name presana are so rude. We are paying our money for booking but when your side cancelled and to get the refund so difficult.
What kind of service you are giving the customer?

Malindo Airways My refund

I have been waiting for a refund from malindo air for cancellation of my flight due to covid. They just keep making excuse after excuse, and it has taken a toll on me physically and mentally. This is my last attempt to get a resolution, before I engage the services of a lawyer. My original reservation code is cuxdej, this was cancelled due to covid, then I was given a voucher, the number is [protected], the amount is for $447.33, I have paid for a service that I have not received, which is illegal, I have reported you to the accc and the afca. I would like my refund processed immediately.

Malindo Airways Flight was cancelled and no refund was received

We booked the flight on 8/1/20 with an ANZ credit card and it was processed on 13/1/20 as Malindo Mob100HORCUG10 Petaling Jay.

Due to COVID-19 the flight was cancelled and we asked for a refund. They only issued a credit note that only lasted 12 months so that won't be sufficient as we can't travel for a few more years at least. That is why we wanted a full refund as we won't be allowed to fly safely any time soon.

Details of the cost:
$520.71 x 2 flights = $1, 041.42
$460.71 x 2 flights = $921.42
Total cost = $1, 962.84

I can send you a PDF of all the flight confirmations but I couldn't attach it to this request.

Desired outcome: Full refund for the flights that were cancelled.

Malindo Airways Cancelled flight

We are extremely disappointed with your refund policy, especially as you canceled the flight, to begin with. Your cancellation caused us to scramble for a replacement flight and cost us additional money. You are offering a voucher, with unrealistic booking timeframes. Canada has an alert that specifies we are not to travel outside of Canada unless it is an emergency. This travel warning most likely will not be lifted within the foreseeable future.

The timeframe that you have given to use the voucher is not only disappointing as Malindo air does not operate in North America, but also the timeframe is unreasonable considering Covid is still very much with us, especially in North America.

At the very least, we would like an extension of the timeframes to the end of 2022 or mid-2023.

Information re the voucher is shown below in the email from your Customer Care department.

On Thursday, August 27, 2020, 11:26:49 p.m. EDT, Customer Care wrote:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings from Malindo Air.

Kindly be informed that all refunds due to flight cancellations by Malindo Air have resulted from the current ongoing global crisis.

No cash refund to be offered.

The refunds will be issued only in the form of Travel Vouchers and not cash, with the following conditions:
Vouchers will be issued in the name of individual passengers
The validity of the redemption period will be 12 months
Travel however, will be up to 11 months ahead of the redemption date
Example of Travel Voucher redemption:
Voucher issuance date : 30th May 2020
Redemption Period : 1st June 2020 up to 29th May 2021
Assumed Redemption date : 1st Mar 2021
Travel Period Permitted : From 1st Mar 2021 up to 30 Feb 2022

Except for codeshare flights, vouchers can be used for travel on any routes in the Malindo Air network.
