Madam Flora — Don't Be Scammed
I haven't been there in about 12 years, but they will suck the blood out of you. They are heartless people. They don't care what you have to go through to get them money. I've worked 3 jobs for about 3 years trying to support them and me. I had to get a second mortgage (loan for them) because they told me someone I cared about was going to have a serious accident and either be maimed for life or die if I didn't come up with about $15-20, 000 to prevent the accident from happening. When I think about it...what a thing to say to someone. I didn't want their death on my hands, so of course, I came up with the money. They also got me for:
- brand new car/car insurance - jewelery: diamond necklace and bracelets, 2 rolex watches (men's/women's) - furniture: bedroom and livingroom - TV's: 26" and a wide screen (back then...they were EXPENSIVE) - had a phone put in my name for them...oh the charges!! - clothes - they dressed so top of the line...gowns with beads - furs - don't forget cash money, checks, loans
Oh, how embarrassed I am that I could be so stupid. Once they real you in, they count on you being to ashamed to tell anyone. They pray on your fears and I'm a people person who likes to help people. Through them, I was going to save all hurting people. They saw me coming a mile away!
A Prince George's County police detective contacted me in the early 90's. I gave him tons of info on these people. Finally after numerous calls to him, he finally told me he was taken off the case and he wasn't to talk about it anymore.
There was also a write-up in the Metro section of the Washington Post in the late 90's where they tried to cash a $200, 000 check from a Univ of Maryland student. They were to "hold" it for her to take off a curse that was put on the money. Needless to say, Steve went to jail and so did the young girl (who I assumed was Maria).
This is what I don't understand...how can the county allow these people to stay there when they know they are frauds and keep on going. I think the county gets a kick back...that's my opinion.
Oh, and they also got a VA drivers license (they live in MD mind you) and they can't read. I asked how they got one, and Ruby told me they knew someone at the VA DMV.
Also, in the 90's they had 2 rolls royces in their garage. Go figure!
Enough for now...I could go on and on (sad to say!).
