I have two minor children whom ive been trying to collect child support for since 2002. Throughout all these years Ive felt helplesss because the courts continue to fail my children and I can not afford to hire an attorney. My childrens donors name is Luis Morales aka LUHOUND, he is a 31 year old who claims his disabled mother financially supports him. I realized that in order for something to be done, it would have to be me that will have to do the investigating because the courts wont waste their time nor money. Thats when we found that Luis Morales is actually on google as an underground rapper/producer who gets paid under the table, i mean you can clearly see him on flyers. But the court still wont do anything. This is how he has managed to avoid his child support obligation. He quit his job in 2002 because they
garnished $37 from his check. He is only obligated to pay $64 total a week for two
kids. Not one but for two. My boys are currently owed $29, 000.00 as of today. Yesterday 3/7/13 i had court for a motion of contempt for non payment, when the judge ordered a purge of $1000 effective immediately, he ran out of court. My husband financially supports a family of 6 one child of which he pays $600 for monthly. While in court i spoke about our hardship and Luis thought is funny that his sons was also going thru it. When asked why he hasnt paid a dime and what did he do with his money, he said he bought his new son toys for his birthday, yet his sons have never seen $10 for christmas. Something needs to be done about deadbeat parents. A great idea would be work release until the required purge is paid in full. All states should consider this.

I understand how you feel. I went through the same crap with my ex. It took almost ten years for my ex to mature enough to get a job and support his two sons. The support is laughable, but I am far from the only custodial parent screwed by California courts. He actually owes more than my current husband does on his house! Good luck! You will need it!
