Longs Drugs move date to the top of receipt

Aloha,

It would be much easier for customers to submit insurance claims if the date was written somewhere on the top of the receipt like in most stores. Your receipts are too long and the date is halfway down after all the important information and so when customers submit insurance claims, they normally half the receipt and send the receipt without the date visible. This creates more work for the insurance company and the customer.

Please review.

Best,
Kristen McCormack(Kristen.[protected]@ef.com)

Longs Drugs 40% discount

Longs location at Executive Center.
12/3/18, purchase lihing sour belts (not on sale), waited forever to get Ajax sale item, & bought Hawaiian calendar on sale.
The clerk did not issue 40% discount on dollar item. Instead she questioned when I did have an item to apply. Thought I only had sale items; ajax and calendar. What a bummer because I was in store to use it, even if only $1 item.
I request a reward credit for inconvenience.

Longs Drugs hallmark coupon (buy 3 get 1 free)

On November 8, I went to the Pali Long's. I used the coupon for Hallmark. Which says "buy 3 get 1 free" the cashier could not activated the coupon. As he checked my order, he noticed that one card was not a Hallmark card, which was in the hallmark section. So I got a replacement card. He rerang my order and the coupon still would not work. As he got assistance from several employees which still couldn't get the coupon to work. Even the manager couldn't get it to work. After 45 minutes they rerang my order at another register. The employee assured me that the coupon was used. When I got home I looked at the receit and noticed it was not applied. 45 minutes all for nothing. Thank you.

Longs Drugs pharmacy

On 10/1/2018, I called the Pharmacy department at the Hawaii Kai location to see if my prescription was ready. There's a new girl, Jenny, that is quite rude. I asked if my order had been filled. She said no. She said there's so many customers ahead of me in a rude tone. Since that didn't answer my question, I asked what she meant by that.
She finally replied that it would take to 9:00 am 10/2/18. I asked her to transfer my
prescription to Pali Longs and she just replied ok. I will see if she really transferred my request to Pali Longs. I will be leaving tomorrow to Japan and if it's not there as she promised, I will be in a bind. I've been going to the Hawaii Kai Longs for 6 years and your new hire might be giving substandard service to other customers. She is not customer oriented and does not belong in that position.

Thanks for taking the time to read my complaint.

Longs Drugs customer service

Worst customer service at CVS location-
Directly across McKinley High School in Honolulu, HI

I went there to purchase two graduation cards around 630pm (5/27/18). 8 year old Daughter had to use the bathroom stating she drank too much water and wanted to go before we headed to a graduation at the Blaisdell. Went to the second from the end cash register (closest to the main front door) and asked her for the code she appeared to not know what it was. She asked the third cash resister and she told her not to give it out! I couldn't believe it! I've never felt so insulted. I do so much of my
shopping at CVS (Kaimuki and Kahala braches) and yet they wouldn't allow my daughter to use their restroom? Really? Terrible customer service EVER. I'll be taking much of my needs to my neighborhood Walgreens because of this incident.

Aloha Longs,
Aloha means Hello, I love you and Good-By
If you continue with your $.15 bag charge you are to lose a customer.
Longs should be able to offer paper bags free--but my only choice was to carry out by hand my numerous items or pay $.15 per plastic bag
Th only way to get your attention -- If I buy my normal amount of $20 to $50 and you charge
$15 per bag I will buy some where other than Longs
To mention your kind and great service employees apologize and have little to say except that Longs has to charge $.15 per bag because the State of Hawai'i tells Longs to do so. But offer NO alternative --Bad Business
You would think Longs would be able to create an alternative of than taking a demand from the Government
I have alternatives such as Times, Safeway which are as convenient as Longs and I will be taking my business with them as they offer paper bags FREE
Longs should take they vast resources and investigate environmental recyclable bags and not take the State demand for you to charge customers. Remember Government does not have profit incentive and Longs is profit directed.
So in my small way maybe by taking my business to your competitors might get your profit attention and will share my opinion with friends
My account for your reference and history of purchases [protected]
I welcome a response but doubt will get one
Good Luck,
Mahalo,
Ted

Longs Drugs racial sign

At Long's Kaimuki, there is a display of chinese new year festivities. One of the item is GAU. With Gau, there is a sign placed to describe what it is and it's chinese significant meaning. The sign is written in English and translated into 2 additional languages - Japanese and Filipino Tagalog.

On the Filipino Tagalog translation, it read as "Sa Intsik...". That is the first 2 words of rhe sentence.

Would like to complain because using such word (Intsik) to describe chinese is racial slur. The more appropriate word should be "tsino" or simply use the English word " chinese.

I am 100% chinese and i can fluently read, write and speak in Tagalog. This is simply offensive.

If the writer cannot translate properly, then just leave it in English.

Longs Drugs longs drug in pearl city kuala street pharmacy department

On November 27 at approximately 8pm my husband hand carried in my Narco script for 10mg/325mg for my chronic pain. RPH: Nicole C Jackson filled the wrong strength. I called Pharmacy on 11-28-17 to notify of mistake and spoke to Lisa (Pharmacist) she said is was a human error, its not the first time this has happened. I think this pharmacy should be audited just in case there is some scketchy things going on with the pain killers that are dispensed there. This happened before and never made note to it, but this will no longer be tolerated and I have found this site to make documented complaint. I am a disabled person with medical needs, change of meds will put me into a state of anxiety which can be resolved by being more careful with dispensing meds. I hope that you take this matter seriously for all the disabled people.

Longs Drugs I was at longs drugs lahaina hawaii and this cashier shoved me to the sides cause I changed my mind in buying an item

Her name is Elnora and I was at Longs Drugs Lahaina and I bought a water dispenser and I thought my 40% off coupon on my card but it wasn't so I told her to just cancel it but she couldn't and she finished the transaction letting me sign the signature pad. The total was 93.74. Then she told me to stay at the side cause she had a line. That was very rude of her after charging my card that much she shoved me to the side. She could have requested another cashier if r manager to assist me instead.

Longs Drugs pharmacy

My name is clayton b valentine. I called longs waianae at 11:08 am nov 21 2017 to ask a few questions about filling a medication that was an increase in dose. That isn't important. The lady that answered the phone was speaking so softly that I couldnt understand what she was saying. So I don't know her name but she was extremely rude to me about the situation as if it was painstaking to do less than a minute worth off work. I was told my medication was scheduled to be picked up on the 22nd. But I need it yesterday. Which is when your policy, my insurance and my doctor would have allowed me to have it. All I said was it was an increase in dosage so I should be able to pick it up today.in fact the pharmacist that I dropped the paper off to in the first place told me that I would be able to pick it up today. That's fine. But to get the [censor] run around from two other people and be spoken to like my call is just a pain in there [censor] is an outrage. Im infuriated.

Longs Drugs pharmacy

This incident occurred at Longs Drug Store #9955
848 Ala Lilikoi St. Honolulu, Hawaii 96818

At 11am on November 16, 2017 I went to pick up a refill that was called in on November 15 and was scheduled to be picked up on November 15. Upon my arrival, it was not ready and I was also told my the Pharmacy Tech Rhonda that she had nothing to do with that. I then requested to speak to a manager. The manager Candace informed me that there system was down on November 13, which had nothing to do with service being provided today. I was told to stand in an even longer line and she would get to me after standing in line already.
Upon me reaching the counter once again I was told that my prescription would be ready in 15 minutes. I waited for 2 hours and it was still not complete when I came back to the counter and was told that it had not even been worked on. This is absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service to say the least. There was no remorse shown or any care for the customer whatsoever.
To make it even worse, When I finally did receive my prescription it was not the prescription that I called in. The RX # did not match what I previously had. The manager Candace then proceeds to ask me do I want the prescription or not. I feel like this is very rude and my health was not taken in to consideration and I was made to feel that I was wrong because I wanted a further explanation on why my medications didn't match.
I have been to this location multiple occasions and I was disturbed and disappointed at the service that I received from the Longs Drug Pharmacy Team! I would love to speak to someone in regards to this matter.

Longs Drugs overcharge and denied refund

Purchased 12 bottles of Tisdale sweet red wine at $6.49 on Oct. 19, 2017 and paid $77.88. When I got home I was looking at the receipt and noticed that I was overcharged $29.04 because the sale price on the wine was $4.04. On the receipt it states returns with receipt thru 12/18/2017. When I went back on Oct. 25 to dispute the overcharge and get my money back the manager denied me because she said I'm supposed to bring it back within 24 hours to get a refund on liquor! My receipt clearly states refunds with receipt thru 12/18/2017! I was still denied what a RIPOFF! Be aware of overcharges out in Waianae Longs Drugs store! Never my favorite store to shop but they're the only ones who carry my favorite wine and that SUCKS!

Longs Drugs extra bucks rewards

I sincerely hate to complain because I love Longs Drugstore. But I need to ask about something, and I don't know how to reach someone to ask.

I received a $6 Extra Bucks rewards for being loyal customer. I shop at Longs Drugs several times each week. But instead of having a few weeks - or even a couple - to use it, it expired almost immediately. The very next time I went to the drugstore, I brought it out to use, and it had already expired! Could you please reinstate this coupon and give me a chance to use this perk that I certainly have earned?

My phone number is [protected], and my Extrabucks Reward # is: [protected].
Sincerely, Maryellen Markley

Longs Drugs pharmacy

The worker didn't help me at all when I went to pick up my meds, he had a very negative attitude, grumbling that it seem he didn't want to be there, made me feel embarrassed in front of everyone, and just walked off without having to help me. That was rude service, behavior very unprofessional. Unsatisfied the way I was treated. Won't be going there anymore.

Longs Drugs certain employee

I just like to make you aware that one of your managers E. at your puainako longs store has been using her own personal cell phone and your business phone to make harassing phone calls to a person I know. They had received approx 30 phone calls and 25 text messages within 2 hours while she was working. I also didn't know that managers and employees are allowed to full around while at work. E. and B. were both caught making out in the parking lot of longs drugs while E. was working. Her boyfriend at the time caught both of them in his car. She has also been sending naked photos of herself from with your store bathroom to a person. I did not know this was tollerated or accepted by your store.

Longs Drugs employee

I was at Longs Drug Store 24hr and checked out around 10:26pm at register 1. Cashier was on her phone or checking it during her entire transaction. Being on phone seemed to affect her bagging skills as she bagged items that didn't need to be without asking customers. Did not ask whether or not we wanted a receipt. Did not look up from her phone as she talked to us so it was hard to understand her.

Ther cashier kept on telling me about something and I told her I cannot understand because I am Deaf. She kept on blabbing her mouth to me like I am supposed to understand her. It is disrespectful and very rude. I asked her to please write it down. She still kept on and on. I had to write it down to her and telling her that not all of us can lips! The Waianae Longs Drugs needs to take customer service training on how to work with Deaf shoppers like myself.

Longs Drugs store policy

I'm getting tired of going to longs with the latest ads on the day the ad takes place, and not having the stock available. Isn't that called "bait and switch?" several people i have talked to had similar results. All i get from employees is either we sold out or it didnt come in. How can it be sold out when i'm one of the first people in the door of the sale. If it only happened once or twice i wouldn't complain. But its pretty common. If its not in stock, don't advertise it. Sorry to complain, but i had to vent this time.

Longs Drugs customer service

3/24/11. Dr. Ofc. faxed prescription to the South Kihei Rd. Longs. We left the Dr Ofc. at 4:30 p.m. & went directly to the pharmacy. My son went to pick up meds at approx 4:45 p.m. & was informed that they still needed to work on it and he should come back.
---We left the store & returned to pick up meds at approx 5:45 p.m. and was only given 1 bottle of pills. We knew there should have been cough medicine & asked Amy& was told there was only pills. We had to ask her to ck the faxed prescription for cough medicine. Amy ckd & said that cough medicine was not ready because it could not be verified with the Dr. Ofc. therefore they left a message and we had to wait for the Dr. Ofc. to call them back. Amy did not offer to call again and gave the impression that we just had to wait.
---I walked away from the pharmacy and called the Dr. Ofc. to find out
what the hold up was. I was informed that they only did verifications when the patient was at the pharmacy and the pharmacy was calling their office. They said they would not verify from any messages on their phone.
--- I informed Amy of what I was told & she said they already called and I had to wait. I told her again that they didn't verify from phone messages and that pharmacy had to call while I was there. She walked away saying she would check and didn't return.
---After approx 5 minutes of waiting for Amy clerk named Janell rudely asked me if she could help. I explained that I was waiting for Amy & she said Amy is waiting for Dr. Ofc. to call. I repeated that Dr. Ofc. said pharmacy had to call while patient was there and when they called earlier my son was not there and they left a message so I informed her they should call now.
---I then told Janell that staff at the pharmacy should be aware of what the Dr. Ofc. needs. If they were aware and called when my son was there at 4:45 then the medication would have been ready now 1 hour later. Jenall then said it is verified and they will get the prescription ready so I had to come back.
---I walked over to customer svc & asked for a Manager and Ms. Johnston (Arlene?) listened to what happened and recommended that I complain to the store manager. Shortly after that another customer came to see the store manager& informed her that the pharmacy was not professional and that when I walked away Janell rolled her eyes at me and called me a f___in bit__ in front of all of the other customers. That customer then told the manager that she understood my frustration in having to wait so long.

Here are my concerns!
1- If a prescription needs to be verified there should be standard procedures. If patient had to be there during verification they should have called Dr. Ofc when we first checked on prescription and not when we returned an hour later
2- Pharmacy staff need to pay attention to their prescriptions. The clerk Amy should have known I had another prescription that was not filled, I should not have had to ask her to check the fax.
3-Pharmacy staff need to pay attention to their customers and get back to them. Amy never returned to me for quite some time. Even after Janell came to help me, Amy never came back to update me on what she did.
4- Calling a customer a f---in bit__ in front of them or in front of other customers is vulgar and rude and should not be acceptable. Janell then lied to me when I came back to inform her that I was reporting it to a manager. I didn't make this up and I wasn't even there to hear it, it is really bad that another customer had to hear it and also went to file a complaint to the store manager of how they too had to experience a bad attitude.
5- Ms. Johnston told me she was the "manager" however instead of taking my information to report to her superior personnel she instead told me to contact the store manager directly. (More time I have to spend on this!)
6- I finally received my prescription at 6:15 p.m. and had to miss an appointment
7- I have been shopping this pharmacy since 1989. In twenty two years i have NEVER EVER had such an experience and it is very disappointing.

I expect an apology and sincerely hope that you provide corrective action to your employees for the attitude, lack of follow up skills and vulgar language!

Sincerely yours,

Deborah

Hello. I'm a customer who lives in kona on the big island, and, i do business at our longs that's located in the lanihau center. Here's the problem that seems to be a pattern. Whenever longs had a sale, you have make sure that you have items in it storeroom to cover what's going on sale. Example: about a month ago longs had a sale on some candy, well quess what? after the candy when off of the shelf, there was nothing at all in the back. This is on the second day of the sale. It took the vendor 3 weeks before the candy cane to the store. Couple weeks after that happen, quess what? same candy when on sale again, and quess what?, after the first day no candy on the shelf or in the storeroom. If you know ahead that there's going to be a sale, don't you make sure that the storeroom is stock with everything so customers don't keep getting up set because of the same thing happening?

Longs Drugs cosmetics dept manager

Was in the store which i frequent quite often despite the higher prices. Had a 19 dollar bottle of hairspray and a couple other products in my hand. I passed by the hair section again and noticed they had high end products. A jar of hair paste caught my attention. At 21.99 a jar, i opened it up to ensure the quality of the product. I touched some of the product on the lid.
Upon doing so, the cosmetics dept manager came up and gave me ablank stare for seriously about a whole minute, I asked if there was something i could help her with and her reply was "your not actually gonna make a purchase are you, i mean you are just opening all the products " I told her i did intend to buy them and she proceeded to say "great thanks now if you don't buy it i cannot sell this" and practically took it from my hand. She said she can't sell products that are open (i opened up probaby 5 products to SMELL and all had been opened previously) I told her her approach to the situation was totally unprofessional. She argued and tried to justify her actions by telling me about women who come in and use lipstick. She asked me what i thought she should do, i suggested putting a sign, her response was "yeah right so people can get offended by that too! ..and where would i put this sign?" i pointed to an existing sign by the products. She then told me how people dont respect her dept and i wouldn't know cause i've never worked customer service. (in which i have for the passed 8 years) She again said "what should i do then" i told her as the cosmetic dept mgr it sounded like something she needs to deal with. She rolled her eyes and said "yeah well im sorry if you took offense" She was very sassy and actually raised her voice. i walked away and am going to take this up further. A simple "can you please not open the products" would have sufficed. It trully is dissapointing becuase of the convenience and location of this Longs which i will not return to and will tell everyone i know about.

I recently purchased Milani Stay Put Brows in Natural Taupe and it was dried out, when I opened it. This made the product unusable. I purchased it on April 7th 2018. I would like to exchange the product for a new one.

I Agree I Believe She Had One Nerve Left at the End of a Rough Day and You Were On It. Just Like You Said You Deal in Customer Sevice Also and And So have I. I Think She Could Have Been Nicer to You and Handled it in A More Professional Way. Long's Has Lost a Good Customer, and Thats the Bottom Line. And Like You Said Your Going to Tell Everyone You Know, and How About Everyone They Know?

Longs Drugs untruth store manager abuse customer's shopping right

My name is Xiaochun Chen and I want to advise you of a very unpleasant experience that I had while shopping at your store located at 10455 South De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, California .

On Sunday, Sep, 21st at approximately 5:50PM, another customer was attempting to purchase stationary and there appeared to be disagreement with the cashier on the price. Not being able to resolve the issue to the customers satisfaction, another cashier or sales clerk was called twice within 5 to 7 minutes to bring about a solution.

After almost 5 minutes of waiting another customer, a gentleman, I asked if a cashier might be called to check us out. Finally after 2 failed paging attempts, we heard, Kari, Please go to register 2. Shortly thereafter another cashier arrived. Upon the cashiers arrival at the other register, an Asian man, who was behind us in the line rushed to the open register and positioned himself first in line.

I said to him, "Maybe you should let us go first, (there was another man before me) because we were in front of you."

The gentleman and I then positioned ourselves in front and while he paid for his goods, the Asian man, now in back of us, attempted to place my goods behind his and at the same time yelled to me F_ _ k you communist, you are not even a citizen Needless to say I was very shocked and frightened; I asked that someone call the police. When no one reacted, I used my cell phone to call 911. As I was speaking with the 911 operator (at 6:05pm) the Asian man yelled and said: F_ _ k you communist, you are not even a citizen then rushed out of the store. Shortly the call ended because nothing could be done.

After I paid for my goods, I asked the cashier to call the store manager. When Carina, the store manager arrived, I told her what had happened.

She replied, The store is not going to do anything unless he hits you. I said, Thats ok to know and I called policy myself. Carina then said, The police are not going to do anything for you. You are just wasting tax payer money and there is nothing we can do either.

I replied "I am trying to tell you that if you could put another casher here after the first paging things could be better."

Carina said, We are short on employees, I only has three employees and we put one there now. I could do nothing to help your situation." In fact there were four employees four women and one man besides her in the store, one with white uniform and four with green uniform, during our talking time, one young white female employee changed her uniform to red shirt.

I left store but then realized that I forgot to write down Carinas full name because I wanted to report the incident to the corporate office. When I returned to the store I saw that red shirt girl was outside to make a call. I walked to the store and wait till casher available and the cashiers get me the store manager. I heard the page said: Carina comes to the front. The same time I saw the red shirt girl run to the back with bit loud voice, some customers turning to watch. Cashier paged couple more times. There was long waiting and during that time the red shirt girl called to the casher said: pick up the phone twice. Then I saw policemen showed up the store. The police officers approached me and asked me what had transpired. After I told them what had happened they asked to see my Drivers License and checked my cell phone verifying that I had in fact dialed 911 (at 6:05pm).

One of the policemen then asked me, Why didnt you leave the store when asked?

I replied, I was never asked to leave. I left and then came back to ask for the store managers name.

The officer said, Really. The store manager never asked you to leave? Ok, now the store manager asked us to ask you to leave. Also, you cannot shop here anymore but you can report the incident to their headquarters to get their approval to shop here. Make sure to bring written document to approve you can shop here.

I left the store with very sad and upset.

Ms. Carina, the Longs Drug store manager has done a poor job in managing this incident. She was not honest. Not once did she insinuate, suggest or tell me to leave the store. Now Ive loss the right to shop at the store that is nearest to my home because she was not honest. This is a severe hardship because my almost 80 years old mother put all her medicine prescription in this store because she could walk here to drop the prescriptions. A lot of time I need to help her to pick up the medicines.

I am an active and involved member of my community and have never violated any law in any places. I have been good employee to fortune 500 companies. An excellent tax payer and good US citizen. I didnt do anything wrong.

Why is Longs Drug closing Mililani Market place store?

Hundreds if not thousands of Mililani residents depend on this store! Obviously, Longs Drug could care less about the Mililani residents that utilize this store. What an inconvenience Longs Drug is causing for so many.

Everytime I go to the money services the management refuse to speak proper English and are very disrespectful to me because I am white, all the workers at the station are disrespectful and judgmental and speak only Filipino and talk down to me when I come in. It's the worst longs I have ever been to.

"In fact there were four employees: four women and one man besides her in the store, one with white uniform and four with green uniform, during our talking time, one young white female employee changed her uniform to red shirt."

A white uniform indicates someone who works in Pharmacy, and they cannot help you at the front registers. Half the time, they can't help you in the Pharmacy because they don't have an employee ID logged into the system, meaning they can't log in and check you out.
I do not know why one changed into a red shirt, but she was probably off work or on lunch.

"The gentleman and I then positioned ourselves in front and while he paid for his goods, the Asian man, now in back of us, attempted to place my goods behind his and at the same time yelled to me "F_ _ k you communist, you are not even a citizen" Needless to say I was very shocked and frightened; I asked that someone call the police."

Since he left almost right after saying that, and what he said wasn't as bad as a racial slur, no one could nor had to do anything about it.
