Live Auctioneers Bidhaus auctions

FRAUD!

I have purchased nearly 35 thousand dollars of merchandise which I successfully was the highest bidder on through Liveauctioneers.com.

On Sunday Feb 5th I purchased a number of items, as the successful bidder on a live auction with Bidhaus. I received email confirmation congratulating me and showing each item and my winning bid. I contacted the auction house a couple of times asking if they were charging my credit account that I have on record with Liveauctioneers, I received no reply until today February 7th which stated that they made a mistake with the auction.

In an email from them they stated that they are unable to locate my invoice. Upon hearing this I sent them copies of the emails that I received stating the items and prices of those items that I won I told them to contact liveauctioneers to confirm.

There were several other bidders who bid on the items that I ultimately won. THere were more bids that I lost at auction than won. Now Bidhaus is telling me that they have to abide by their terms of sale which says "If "it was sold in error by our Auctioneer they reserve the3 right to cancel the auction.

The AUction already Occurred and was closed after auctioning off hundreds of items, which I suspect hundreds of successful bids were cancelled after the fact.

Desired outcome: I want the items that I successfully won sent to me.

I purchased a coin from Gold Standard Auctions. The website stated 1806 50 cents piece, uncirculated MS 62. When I had the coin graded by PCGS, it was 25 cents piece, ungradeable. I asked for a refund, but they refused. I have purchased many coins from Apmex that are raw with a grade and the coin comes out the grade stated or higher. This is clearly fraud. And because my purchase was over $500, it is considered a feloney.

Live Auctioneers Artwork severely undervalued in auctions

Live auctioneers is currently running an auction of an extremely well known collected artist whose current values worldwide at all galleries are the same between 25 to 35K for one-of-a-kind paintings and this auction house is selling one of the paintings with a bid starting at $1200…

It could be because the seller doesn’t want to pay a large amount of taxes and doesn’t care about the value But people are going to question if it is authentic because his values are shown everywhere…

How can this be legal for an auction house to not do any due diligence on their part about living artists and what they are currently selling for in the real world… They do harm to the artists, the galleries and their collectors… The auction houses need to be held responsible this is abhorrent

I certainly hope that people would question what they are bidding on and do their own research and see if it looks legitimate but most people probably just want a good deal and don’t care… This needs to be stopped

Shady

Desired outcome: The auction is stopped, and a correct amount is put on it, or if they continue the auction that the value of the sale is not shown or made public

When I've followed directions for unsubscribing, they either lead noplace or to a dead end (a page on which unsubscribing is not an option), or they fail to go through. please help me remove myself from the list. There also seems to be no LiveAuctioneers phone number for this problem.

Live Auctioneers Passing Items that have bids because not enough money

Today, I place bids on an auction from Rapid Estate Liquidators and Auction Gallery on your site. I had several bids being the winning bidder and the auction company marked the lots "PASSED". I asked the auction house why did you pass the lots. I received an e-mail stating he said he would not sell at those low prices. These auction listing were not marked an item with a reserve. I think that this is an unethical auction practice. I will think twice in bidding on one of your auctions. Thank you.

Hello, I am writing an article about your company LiveAuctioneers and the companies your company represents selling antiques. From buying $500 worth of Belleek china and getting charged $399.88 in shipping costs. Then receiving the china with about 1/3 of the items broken. Then, e-mailing the shipper and auction house without any communication. Then, buying several items at an auction house at a reasonable price with a $20 charge for shipping. I would certainly recommend this auction house/shipper! Auction houses like Rapid Estate Liquidators refusing to honor bids because the amount is NOT HIGH ENOUGH for lesser quality items and his favorite shipper sent me an estimate for one 5" tall figurine at $30.42. When I contact a UPS Store in Orlando, Florida for shipping is $13.86. I wonder which shipper I ask to ship to me? HA! HA! HA!. For being over with 40 years in the antique business; I NEVER saw such corruption in the on-line auction house business. Please e-mail. Thank you! Mark H. Mcclendon

How can you list things as a live auction?

Live Auctioneers Ring and Watches

I have purchased many items on liveauctioneers. When the seller is legit there is no issue. However, if a seller doesn't refund a payment or does not send anything at all Liveauctioneers will not protect the buyer at all. Multiple communications and emails and information sent and on payments of over $14000 for a fake ring I was able to recover only $7000 from the seller after two months. LiveAuctioneers would not care if the sellers don't respond, they will not stop them from selling more items and they will not help you at all. They will just say they are monitoring the situation but nothing will happen.

On another purchase of a $75000 Rolex watch LiveAuctioneers would not help at all when the seller didn't send the watch or refund my money. You can't sue liveauctionners because their policy you sign says you are bound by arbitration only. They will not help you at all.

Avoid using this site at all costs unless buying cheap garbage you don't care about losing your money. Don't use it for expensive items as you won't have any protection whatsoever in case of fraud.

If you had the same issue please file a complaint with the IC3 FBI section. Easy to do online and let's get these out providing a platform for cheaters and scammers without any responsibility. Is the only way to enforce accountability.

Avoid at all costs!

Desired outcome: Refund of my payments

How about stop buying from them and getting nothing, and just donate to me and much will be achieved...lol Just kidding. But seriously, sounds like this auction house is best left alone, or any auction site, or store for that matter, that does not protect the buyer 100% I certainly will leave it alone.

Live Auctioneers Payment procedure

I participated and bought several jewelry items for $21, 949.00 including the buyers premium from Prestige Auction Galleries .Inc.. I got the invoice and it says pay through Pay pal.

I wanted to return few items my wife does not want for sentimental reason, that Sapphire jewellery causes bad things to us. I sent a message if I can return. He told me that once sold they cannot be returned, it is not consistent with your site info. any way I want to just pay. I tried to pay through Pay Pal and sent $5000 as a test.

Now he says he takes only upto 10, 000 by cards and now wants all the money wire transferred. This was not told nor is in their website. For that he said he told me so. If I knew I would not have participated in this auction.

Please settle this dispute. i want use my cards through pay pal as he wanted. now changed his mind.

I am not sure what will be condition of the jewellery when I receive them?

Thank you,
Dr. Upendranath Nimmagadda.

Desired outcome: return the items.

Live Auctioneers Allowing a company to use their platform to sell worthless coins.

Gold Standard Auctions in Dallas Texas uses this platform to hold fake auctions, with fake bidders to run up sales on worthless coins. They list them as uncirculated and when you receive them they are cleaned and worthless. I paid $2600 for a coin that is worth $85. They continue to allow these crooks to use their platform after many people have complained about them. They are helping crooks steal innocent peoples money. Even though our paperwork shows Live Auctioneers, they say they none of our info.

Desired outcome: I want my $9984 returned and I will give them back our worthless coins.

Live Auctioneers The way your company has been discriminating against me and my company Holly auctions

Over the years despite following every guideline set by your company I, my auction listing and my company has been discriminated one way or another by your staff and the way your company search engine is set. I have asked numerous times from your staff to help me fix any issues that may be with my auctions and auction listing. I have had numerous bongos and nonsensical answers ranging all spectrum of human reasoning. But non made sense and none fixed the problem. The problem was that my items did not show up anywhere on your site other than in my catalog. Despite the thousands of dollars of advertising and promotional money, my traffic hovered stout 100 page views per day. When recently I questioned your staff, I was banned after being accused of making false accounts and false bid. I resent that accusation and aim to fight it in court of law to clear my name. Specially after nearly 90+ auctions over ten years on your platform. I have not done anything of the sort that your staff have accused me, and I hold your company legally responsible for the deformation and stress and embarrassment and financial loss they have caused me. I will spend everything I have to prevent your company to do the same to another person ever again. Unless you apologize and retract and reinstate my account, I will file a lawsuit and claim for damages not limited to above-mentioned damages.

Desired outcome: Reinstate my account and apologize

Live Auctioneers cyber-stalking customers, review manipulation, cyberbullying and no support

I've been a victim of cyber-bullying and stalking from one of the auctioneers on this website, and the company turned a blind eye to it. I was begging them for help for days, and I finally started to file complaints against the company. They suspended my account siting my threat of a lawsuit against the auctioneer. My jaw hit the floor. I couldn't believe that they would condone this auction house sending me threatening emails, sharing my personal information online without my permission, harassing me and following me back to my workplace online to taunt me in front of friends, colleagues and clients just because I gave him a bad review, but just because I said i would sue him and I used a couple of swear words I get banned from bidding there. But the auction house who did this is still on the website doing regular business. I have contacted several state agencies about this to file formal complaints against both LA and the auction house who did this. They specifically threatened to damage the reputation of the business where I work if I didn't delete negative reviews for their company. That this auction house even had the information of where I work should have been a red flag to LiveAuctioneers that they have a problem auction house on their hands whose business conduct is unethical. I never gave them that information, and they could only have obtained it by stalking me online. LiveAuctioneers only cares about getting paid and swear words. They won't even address the real issue.

Live Auctioneers customer support

I have used this platform for two years with frequency. I have transacted dozens of purchases without incident. Unfortunately, I have finally encountered an auctioneer who has not acted professionally (Donny Malone) and have been unable to resolve a dispute regarding two items that were not furnished to me when I went to collect them, despite having paid for them and made advance arrangements for pick-up (Malone's facility is 700 miles from my home). I have been given excuse after excuse by Donny Malone and no refund has been forthcoming.

Hence, I attempted to reach out to LiveAuctioneers today in order to report the issue and gain some guidance on obtaining a refund. When I called (212) 947-4428 I was transferred to the "bidder supporter team" but only reached a recorded message which encouraged me to visit the website rather than direct my call to a human being. When the message concluded I was permitted to leave a voicemail, but I have little confidence anyone will return the call, as the voicemail box was only identified as "Box 4428"--no name.

Given that this platform handles tens of thousands items on a daily basis there is no excuse for a lack of immediate phone support during normal business hours.

Live Auctioneers online auctions

This company has a culture of pro-seller and anti-consumer bias. The culture there encourages abuse of the consumer and some serious violations of consumer rights and privacy.

There is a dispute process for the sellers if an invoice goes unpaid, but if one of the auction houses engages in bad behavior, the consumer is left with no recourse and is simply ignored.

The terms of service the way they are written do not necessarily support this, and you don't find this out until you have a bad experience on their site. In my case, I was told they would not remove an unpaid invoice dispute against me even though the auctioneer was harassing and untrustworthy, but when it came to the auction house violating website policy there was no reporting mechanism and no dispute process. Yet they also tell you in the terms of service to report policy violations. It is only when you encounter those policy violations you figure out that it only for the benefit of the auctioneer sellers, not for the consumer who is buying thing on their website.

The auction house in my case had violated my privacy and was misusing my private information outside of the liveauctioneers website. When I tried to report it, I got little help, and eventually LiveAuctioneers terminated my account and deleted everything to cover it up.

The dispute process on the site is used to force consumers to give up their consumer rights or to accept abusive behavior by the sellers, because if they don't the website will stop them from participating in other auctions or else terminate their account completely. Even if you have a great track record buying regularly from another auction house, if you don't accept the abuse of one bad auction, that bad auction can report you to liveauctioneers who will suspend you.

The support staff says that they will work with the buyer to find a resolution, but they don't- what they do instead is to refuse any resolution that doesn't fit with what the auction house already wants you to do. In one chat session the rep said she would help mediate, but as soon as I recommended a compromise her immediate response was "No they don't do that". there was never even an offer to go take my suggestion back to the auctioneer. there was no back and forth or reciprocal effort on the part of the LiveAuctioneers to actually work for a resolution. Instead they misconstrued my request and deleted the bad review I had left for the auction house, which was not what I asked them to do. The auction house who is still there on LiveAuctioneers had taken my information and started to engage in cyber-bullying by posting my information in unflattering light in fake reviews on the google listings for my workplace. I reported this to LiveAuctioneers who said they asked the business to take it down, but instead what they did was delete my account to cover it up.

The support staff is difficult to reach and almost never calls back. If they write you back 2-3 days later, you are lucky.

A chat window can be a faster way to reach someone, but it is often useless, because the support is so poor and so one sided.

The dispute process against bidders is so one-sided against the consumer that it makes people give up their right of rejection under normal circumstances at any other kind of retailer and forces them to accept inferior or non-conforming goods. I felt that I had to accept an item that did not match the description, because the auctioneer filed a non-payment dispute, and I had no recourse with LiveAuctioneers. I reported the non-conformity to LiveAuctioneers and sent photos but never got a response from them. I felt that I had to complete the payment and take the damaged item against my will just to get LiveAucioneers off my back and let go of my account. And then I went to my bank later and filed a chargeback.

Without the pro-seller, anti-consumer policies of LiveAuctioneers I normally at any other business would have had a right to reject and not pay for that item. LiveAuctioneers won't let consumers do that.

I have filed complaints with numerous consumer groups this week over how poorly I was treated on this website. I would point out prior to this I had made dozens of purchases from numerous other auctions on the site and never had a problem until now. LiveAuctioneers would rather throw me under the bus than have to confront one of its auction houses for abuse. it's just sad.

Live Auctioneers princeton auctioneers

I have bid on many auctions live and never had a problem before. On a September Asian Sale(Aug. 31, 2019) I bid on Princeton Auctioneers Lot #0081. I successfully won the pair of Chinese Porcelain Blue and White Flower Zun Vases. Therefore, Princeton sent me an email invoice #2805175 for the following:
Item : $1400.00
Buyer's Premium : 350.00
Sub Total: 1750.00
Shipping : 30.00
TOTAL $1780.00
I sent them a check immediately, which they cashed on Sept. 11, 2019. I have not received the items. I have called repeatedly and as of now have not heard from them. If they cannot send me the items paid for, then I am requesting a full refund.
This is not the way to do business. This gives LIVE AUCTIONEERS a bad reputation,
one that I am sure you do not want.
I would appreciate any assistance you could give me in this matter.
Thank you,
Linda Halpert
