Light In The Box Refund policy

The refund policy of this website is shocking.

I ordered a dress for a bridesmaid in one size, with the view of ordering some more once tried on for sizing.

This one didnt fit, so i went to send it back and was told because it was the wrong size, then only a 15% refund would be offered as it was not faulty.

The small print for the refund policy is so unclear on the website, I am now left with £100 dress that doesnt fit.

Do not use this company, they are scammers in my opinion.

Desired outcome: To return my dress with a full refund..

Light In The Box Women's jacket

My oder was made and received, quality was totally outrageous: fabric very thin, size was smaller than expected, it was both too tight and too boxy, very wierd design, etc...

In addition, the return instructions were totally inadequate, phone number was not available, and unfortunately, i read the other "reviews" much too late...My strong advice: do not go there!

Light In The Box payment taken for item purchased but no confirmation email or item received

Good afternoon

On the 26 July 2022 my husband ordered a swimsuit (Women’s Swimwear One Piece Monokini at £19.00 plus post and packaging – size medium – colour black with white trim). My husband paid on his card and the payment has been taken out of his bank. My email address – janice.[protected]@outlook.com was used for the contact email but I have not received any confirmation.

I have checked on 'my ticket' but it shows there are no orders placed.

I have tried a live chat but have not signed up to the £1 and the monthly payment as I don’t wish to set this up.

I would be grateful if you could look into the matter for me and let me know when the item will be delivered.

Never order anything from this compay

I do never again order anything from this company. thier feed backs are all made up, thier sizes are not accurate, the quality is very poor and nothing like what they advertis.I asked for retun, it took them 10 days following seveal emails trying to convinse me to keep my order with %30 discount. they eventually provided me a return instruction asking me to send item to China! while it originally was despatched from the UK address. I had to pay both way postage cost that was in excess of £40.

I am still awaiting for my refunds.

Please avoid this company all together

Light In The Box Dresses to be returned.

i have purchased 3 dresses costing 314 aed. and none of the dresses are fit or even as per quality and standard mentioned in the description box.

I have to return all three dresses and it is costing me too much around 270 aed for sending the dresses back. I have requested several times to arrange the return dresses and refund amount. But till now it has not been done.

If this is not done immediately i will have to file complaint again. Kindly take action and refund my amount 314 aed immediately. Take your dresses back .

I purchased 5 T shirt (88.42) through pal pal they did not fit so i returned then through royal mail to the address on the posted envelope, ( postman please return to ) as there was no returns note with an address on in the pakage

You have decided not to refund me which is extremely disappointing 😡

Light In The Box White Bridal, Bridesmaid shoes

I waited nearly 2 x weeks for these shoes to come through and yes, they arrived 2 x days earlier than they should. I did not expect them to come from China|!

When i took the shoes out of the box, each shoe was in a plastic bag and left in the said bag, The size of the shoe isn't anywhere to be seen neither on the shoe or on the box.

I thought these shoes were wide fitting, but they are definately not wide fitting otherwise i wouldn't have bought them.

Every time i have tried to get a ticket to send them back the format won't disappear when i have clicked OK. What else do i need to do?

Desired outcome: I would like my money refunded and a ticket to post the shoes back. Please.....

Light In The Box I want to return three dresses as they are too tight even though I went by their size chart

I ordered three identical dresses as I just loved the colours. As soon as they arrived I tried them in to discoverer that they were too tight. Two days after I received them I contacted Lightt in the box to arrange for them to be returned. I have to date sent 20 requests because I had to request for each dress individually rather than one order. I have now gone over the time scale of being able to return the dresses but I’d really just like my money back.

I did have 8 other items that I would like to exchange them for but because if their lack of customer service I am not going to bother.

The three dresses come to £98 which I appreciate isn’t a huge amount but it is to me.

I am extremely disappointed and will not be ordering anything else from them.

Please can you help me with this problem.

Light In The Box [protected]

When ordering the dresses I followed your size guide which made me a 20 and the other dress made them a 18 so I ordered those sizes even though when I buy out UK size is 16 and 14

I have measured the dresses and they are not the same measurements as you state also the zip on one of them catches.. So the dress is faulty or not properly made.

What I don’t get is you are quite happy to give me 25% off but won’t let me have my money back. What’s the point of having 25% off when the dresses does not fit. Even though I used your measurements.

The material is not up to standard the quality is not what you describe.

I want to return the goods as they are not up to standard as consumer rights state if the items of clothing are not up to standard then I’am entitled to my money back.

Light In The Box Unable to Return unwanted items

I places an order with light night box 3 items

1 Top did not look the same on the web site as it did when it arrived the shape and material look different.

The second top was £32 and was so cheaply made I would not had bought this as it look terrible on.

The shirt I orders the dye off the buttons had transferred on to the shirt so there was dye on the shirt.

I have submitted a returns form and they just keep closing so I am unable to return.

Desired outcome: Want my money back as this order cost me over £10 for delivery and you have to pay for returns

Light In The Box Incorrect item received!

It's disappointing and frustrating! I waited for more than two weeks for this item and all I received is an incorrect item! I ordered for a coat and I received a rubbish shirt! It's even signed by an unknown person as a receiver! And they

don't do 100% refund. I received a mail that only 20% I can refund or 30% discount on the next

purchase which is so unfair! They are fake!

Light In The Box Stained dress

I ordered a few items from Lightinthebox, all was fine apart from one item that had blue stains. I contacted Lightinthebox and all they could do was to offer me a certain percentage as a online voucher or refund, as stated below

Considering the problem confirmation is quite time-consuming, we can go with a simple way that you can keep this item with a (a) REWARD (values 30% of item price, same as a coupon/voucher, can be used on next order for discount) or (b) a partial refund (20% of item price) as the discount on this order. You may just reply "a" or "b" to this ticket if you prefer this solution.

When I stated I wanted to return the item for a full refund, they advised that returns are at my cost and the then gave a 'better' offer, as stated below

a) Keep the item and receive a reward of 60% of the product's value, you can use it same as a coupon/voucher, can be used on next order for discount.

b) Keep the item with a refund of 50% of the product's value.

Unquote

I do not want to buy from this company again. Stains, through no fault of my own, makes it impossible to use or gift to someone else. The only purpose it now serves is as a rag (a very expensive one)!

This is very disturbing and I am very sure, I am not the only person to have encountered such an awful experience.

I will not buy from this company again and I will not recommend them to anyone either, primarily due to the fact you could receive damaged goods and be cornered into keeping it/them at a reduced price. Admittedly, they do have some great looking goods on their site but the returns/refund process is a nightmare.

Light In The Box t-shirt

Bought a t-shirt for my husband for Father's Day. He wore it once. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low heat. It shrunk up about 3 inches! He couldn't wear it out but the sentiment was so cute he wore it in the house. Washed it again, in cold water. This time I let it air dry. It had shrunk another 2 inches! I was going to ask for a refund. BUT, I looked at the label. It said to dry clean! WHO MAKES A T-SHIRT THAT HAS TO BE DRY CLEANED? I won't buy from them again!

I also gave my son one of their t-shirts. He's not going to spend the money to dry clean it. It was big on him so maybe his will be salvageable.

Desired outcome: I would have liked a refund but since I didn't follow the dry cleaning instructions I'm out of luck.

Light In The Box Poor fabric and bad customer service - returns policy is hoax!

I received my items on Monday and tried them on and the fabric is horrible the singlet tops are made for women with fake boobs! Even then the quality of the fabric is horrible and makes you itch.

I contacted customer service to return the items, the day I received them after trying them on. Customer, they tried everything to make me keep them even asking for a photo of me in them before I returned them! and offering a discounted credit in my account - I told them I don't like the quality of the clothing and as per your returns policy we can return items within 7 days of receiving them. I told them I won't leave a review if they just let me return the items at my own cost for a full refund. Someone by the name of Emma Contact me - Is she a real person! Probably not! Emma told me that they would refund my money and offered 50% back but this goes into your online light in the box account - I don't want anything from this company!

I emailed for 4 days as there was no response after I finally got the return info! WELL THIS IS WHAT I GOT BACK -

We're sorry that you want to return the product. Sorry that we don't have the return label currently, please return it to our Asia warehouse by the cheapest tracking service in the post office. Please understand that you need to cover the return postage. Usually, it costs $10-$40, and it takes 2-4 weeks for delivery. The total refund AUD will be issued once we receive it and pass the quality check. I bet once its there they will say it wont pass the quality check and they won't refund me at all!

[REQUIRED]: Please REPLY to this ticket in 7 days with (a) Return Date, (b) Return Carrier, and (c)Tracking Number. So that we can keep this record in our system.

1. Please Write down the ORDER NUMBER: ######## on the paper and include it with your return package so that the warehouse staff can recognize your order.

2. This is scammers company. Items is poor, terrible. I paid for TWO deliveries, but this seller sent me ONE delivery instead of TWO. Now the seller ask to pay for the delivery again. Besides what I paid for the items and did not received. Company extort money for a product that cannot be used ! And PayPal encourage scammers to continue to sell their product like this - and they know that they have money and the buyer cannot do anything. because the buyer has lost money, and the seller is happy - he has money and paypal is on his side. fantastic cheat!

Light In The Box Clothing

I ordered 3 outfits. Received one month later. However my American Express was charged immediately. The clothes did not fit and were poorly made. I downloaded their return form. The address on the form for return was LINB 4970 Joule St. Reno, NV 89502. I UPS to this address at my expense because they do not provide return labels. I put my phone number on the form and a gentleman called whose company resides at that address. He said he had received other return purchases before. I started multiple email communications with Light in the Box and I was advised that I had to return the items to their China warehouse at my expense which would take 4 - 5 weeks. In further investigation on their website they claim that the clothing is custom made and they do not accept returns. Also, that if a return is sent to the wrong address, they are not liable. Well this is a red flag because it was plainly listed on the return form the address in Reno, NV. There must 50 complaints on their review site of other women that have been victims like myself. This company is a scam and fraud.

I ordered and paid for two items on MAY 13, 2022. The package was supposed to be delivered between June 6 and June 21, 2022.

As today June 29,2022 I have not received the package.

I ask the company LIGHT IN THE BOX for my refund.

They answered offering me a coupon for a new purchase (?) when I have not received the first one.

I demanded for my refund.

They are delaying the refund, offering excuses.

Never again I will buy from this company.
