After talking with 4 representatives and 2 of the 4 being supervisors, I am extremely upset with how they handle customer support. They guaranteed a time for my dryer to be fixed since it is new and is burning my clothes. After two days of taking off work and several hours of being on the phone, LG still has not resolved the issue. I recommend if you are looking into products, do not buy LG due to the customer service to fix their appliances. My dryer is only a month old.

    Is it possible to supply a model and serial number for the unit?

    Commonly when products are new, problems can be easily handled by the retailer. Have you contacted them?
