My refrigerator compressor broke and the soonest repair date given to me was 8/29/19. It has now been changed 4 different times. I have tried to speak with a supervisor regarding this several times to no avail. LG has been completely unhelpful in resolving this matter . I was told a supervisor would contact me within 15-30 min on 8/26/19 and an hour and a half later and still no call . I have been given the run around. Nobody seems to know what to do about this and I am completely frustrated and disappointed with this company. I will never recommend this product or this company to anyone I know. Extremely irritated with all of this .

I bought the LG 4K LED 55 inch TV from LG Authorized Dealer (Carrefour Market - Cairo) on 13/01/2019.

Where the following happened:

1. It was noticed that there is a white light line on the screen to the right side and the failure to open the device.

2. Maintenance was contacted on 8/8/2019 to report the malfunction.

3. The presence of the maintenance engineer on 14/8/2019 and examined the device and reported the existence of an industry defect in the screen and delayed response to open the device (power supply) and sent a picture of the malfunction to the factory through a message Whats app to determine when to withdraw the screen to the factory. the engineer informed me that the screen will be completely changed and the power supply will be repaired within 3 or 5 days at most.

4. Customer service has been contacted many and many times to set a time to withdraw the screen and it was already done on 18/8/2019.

5. I daily Calling customer service to know the date of finish the repair of the device, but they informed me that no date has been set from the factory up till now to determine date of complete repair and delivery.

6. Customer service has been informed that this delay is unacceptable, and the customer wants to change the device completely or refund the purchase price again due to poor customer service in dealing with customers and delays in repairing the device.

I bought LG washing machine since 3 years ago also vacuum cleaner LG since 5 years ago as I am a permanent customer for LG products (as customer loyalty )

so I need your quick intervene to solve such a problem, which has existed for a whole month by supplying a new screen or refunding the purchase price in full.

LG service does not exist! Not from the 800 number which promises call backs that never come. On our LFX31 model I have had to replace three fan motors in less than two years. The fan replacements require all the freezer compartment foods be emptied and the panels removed. Very frustrating!
None of our local service technicians will work on LG as they complain about part changes that are never posted or not available. I had to order four fan models to get three to fit.
As the freezer fan quits often water drains down the front of the unit and has marred the control panel face.
Lowes personnel tell me call Lowes corporate and complain about LG's lack of service and parts issues. We did, hopefully more people with broken LG's will also.
LG - "Little Good".

I purchased a new LG refrigerator from Home Depot, Springfield Avenue, Newark, NJ in August of 2018 and received delivery on November 2018. The refrigerator door fell off and I called them to inform them of this problem. No one came back to fix the door. After calling Home Depot for over a month, I finally spoke with someone and was instructed that they can not help me and that I needed to call LG. I then called LG and received the same treatment. When I finally spoke with someone that could help me, I was instructed that they would send a repair person out to fix the door. The body of the refrigerator is bulging out on the side, the doors are not even, and the piece inside the refrigerator part is loose. The repair person came out 01/15/19 to fix the door. The repair person put the door back on as it should be he was not able to straighten out the door because it is a defect and the side is bubbled out. I called LG numerous times again and they sent the same repair person to try to fix the problem. The repair person called LG while he was at my home and informed them that the unit cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. The tech on the phone agreed and said that he would send an order of replacement. I was told to give LG at least a couple of weeks and someone would contact me. No one ever called. I had to call LG numerous times before I could actually speak to someone only to be told that they will not replace my unit. I simply want what I paid for. I paid for a new regrigerator and not a damaged or refurbished one. I would like to file a complaint and I am going to pursue legal proceedings against LG.

We have purchased LG fully automatic washing approx. 13-14 years ago. It was giving very good services during all the years, except last year in September it started giving trouble by making noise during wash. I contacted the local customer Service Centre in Lahore, Pakistan, who sent their representative to the house to examine the machine. They investigated that its gear box is busted and needs to be replaced. On their guarantee that "like the existing one it will last for 13-14 years" we agreed to change the gearbox and paid Rs.15000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand for a new gearbox and service of machine) Receipt of payment is attached which they were reluctant to provide but on our constant demand they provided us after a week.
Now in the beginning of August, our washing machine again started giving noise during wash. We immediately stopped the machine and contact the local service centre. They sent their representative, who after examining the machine took the machine to their workshop. After checking, they informed us that the gearbox is busted and needs to be changed. They gave us the estimate of Rs. 17, 000/- for gearbox and service of machine.
I would like to ask, Is this the quality LG Company is producing? You give warrantee for 10 year but it did not work even a year. I would request you to compensate the gearbox cost and change it fee of cost.
Looking forward for a favorable action from you.

I bought LG TV from your local distributor with almost 450 USD after 4 months it was broken.
Your maintenance team in UAE ask more than 450 USD to repair it.
I am buying LG electronics for my home, friends,   family and as gifts I guess I bought more than 100 machine from LG. Because of positive previous experience with your service centre in Jordan.
Now the service centre in Dubai they want to make money (not to serve the customers). 
Believe me I will through this tv and I will buy a different brand and it would be the first time in my life to enter other than LG to my home.

We purchased a washer and dryer for our home which cost just under $2000. had for 5 years for 2 people the washer drum went to hell, cost for drum replacement $1000+
the service man said it was probably made on a Friday, I had a roper for under $200 new that lasted 10+ years and we gave it to a family member. LG sucks period.we have others say they get no help from lg they just blow you off. just replaced a tv with a lg. Picture very dark, replaced with a Samsung which I had before, great product. If you all get to read this please do your homework. we thought new home new high cost appliances we would not have to think of any problems for 10+ years. Really disappointed .

We purchased an LRE 3083 stove about two years ago. It seemed fine for a bout a year. Then, we started noticing that when something hot splattered on the control panel, whether it was hot water or hot oil, it melted the plastic sheath covering the control panel area.
When we try to clean the splatter it causes the plastic sheath to peel off. Underneath the surface is smooth. It looks really bad where the peeling has started. We purchased it new from Lowe's in Kahului, Hawaii. It seems odd that it is so easily damaged. We would like to know what to do about it. We would appreciate your response as soon as possible.

THIS IS A COMPLIMENT...NOT A COMPLAINT

Our 4 year old refrigerator stopped working a few days ago.
Though web research I discovered that the Linear Compressors were defective and broke down in just a few years. I read many angry complaints online. To my surprise,
I called LG Customer support, they responded and got a new compressor installed in just one day! They have an efficient system online to keep you posted.
Since they had so many problems with this unit they have extended the parts and labor warranty to 5 years and parts only to 10 years. My only complaint is that we lost $400 worth of food due to a defective product. I am hoping to find out that they will compensate for the loss.
They have been very responsive so far. Thank you LG!

Extreme failure of electronic in the 2014/15 run of LG TVs. An investigation will show many cases of failure in the led strips or corresponding electronics. The cost of the product was for a premium tv and not a third rate knock off. LG should offer free repair/replacement. Average life appears to be 2-4 years. Competing brands at similar cost have a life span of approximately twice as long.

On July 7th I returned from vacation to find my refrigerator hot inside and all my food spoiled. I had to throw away 4 large garbage bags of food. I called DTE service company and they came out the following Thursday July 11th. They said they could not fix it. I contacted LG service repair to come look at it. They came out on July 16th. The gentleman from Goodman Network, Inc. said that it needed a new compressor. The compressor was running but was not working and the refrigerator was very hot inside even though the display said the it was the normal cold temperatures for both the refrigerator and freezer. He said he could get the part and contact me on Monday July 22nd. I have attempted to contact them many times. His company goes to vocemail after one ring. I contacted LG via email even I ask them to contact me in my email with my cell number. I contacted LG today and spoke to Mark. He kept me on the phone while he attempted to contact Goodman Networks. He could not get thru either. He said he needed to speak to his manager. He said he would call me back at in 30 minutes. I waited two hours before I contacted LG again. I asked for Mark. I could not get him. The person on the phone did the same thing with Goodman Networks. I told her that Goodman Networks is not allowed in my house. They have horrible customer service. I agreed to cancel my pending appt with Goodman and set up another appt with a different company. I did keep asking to speak to a manager but she would never get one for me. I ended up getting an appt for August 7th. This is absolutely ridiculous. I expected her to get me an appt this weekend considering the poor customer service I am getting. I want a manager to call me back tomorrow Friday August 2nd.

If you want to avoid a mess, never order anything directly from LG's website. Just after submitting an order online, I read some reviews of LG and decided to cancel my order. It would not let me cancel the order online, and the main number they give you for customer service is very unhelpful. After getting dropped and redirected all over the place, I was finally told they could not cancel online orders directly. Instead, they gave a support email address to submit my cancellation request. I get an automated email back saying my request has been submitted, and then nothing happens.

I called two days later and worked through another maze of transfers to finally talk with someone who explained that my order had not been cancelled. She assured me she was able to resolve things and get the order cancelled. Three days later, I get an email and the order has been shipped. Best they can do now is have me return the order, but now I am not sure anything about their process will work. We shall see if I ever get my money back.

Writing for you from Cairo Egypt to present a complain about a serious issue with LG Egypt.
This is what happened in details and left me in a deep desperate.
On July 6, I called the company for maintenance for my washing machine With dryer
On July 7, after examining my washing machine, they claimed that it needs an electrical board and that they would call back in day to get it
From that that day till now, I kept calling them over and over again until they said that they cannot replace it as your company doesn't produce this part any longer.
Leaving me with nothing to do I decided to send you this complain as I totally believe that it's my right to get my machine fixed by any means especially that it's still in the guarantee duration.

I bought LG microwave from avout 6 month ago suddenly front door class cracks so i called LG customer service in Egypt they asked me to bring it to maintenance center to evaluate the situation.
After 2 hours they called me and said this is not manufacture defect and claimed that this happened by bad used from our side .
They asked me to pay 100 is doller and i refused coz this is not our fault.
Note that : when class crackered its remains one piece after 1 day break down .

I had a sealed system go down on my refrigerator on July 22 2019. I had called Lg customer service and they had told me that it will take 3-5 business days to send a service tech. I had explained to them that I have a older parent with an medical condition where her medicines need to be refrigerated they just ignored . I on my own had to call a independent appliance repair company they said they cannot repair lg . When I called the Lg authorized service repair in Chicago which is 10 of them they all refused to work with Lg product under warranty and upon insisting they said they have not gotten there invoices paid by Lg since April. I am already out the repair service amount of $100.00, food which was thrown out over $200.00 and till today no refrigerator after pleading several times about the medical situation. Today they have a repair service not Lg authorized but some one who has the worst reviews and people not knowing what they are doing. I am refusing to let these people in my house. I have requested Lg to give me a replacement since they cannot find any authorized repair shop to service my refrigerator.
I am hoping that I do get an response from some higher management and the situation is resolved as this is not at all acceptable.

Simple:

I called while under warranty for two issues. Water despenser and cooling. The tech could only fix water.

I called back while the product nwas outside of warranty and that tech was able to fix the cooling issue...well he said he could. I paid about $500 and the issue wasn't fixed.

I called today and now im outside the 90 day repair window and they want to charge me again. After being transferred two the same department 3 times I finally said I would like to talk to a supervisor.

I explained to the supervisor that I called while under warranty and the tech didn't fix it. I called out of warranty and the tech did a repair that didn't work so I don't want to pay the service charge for another tech to come and "fix it" without knowing if the can. He and all other staff just keep receiting the policy.

I keep telling them if the first guy would have fixed it I wouldn't be in this situation...they fail to understand anything outside of policy.

It's a joke. The worst part is I think lg is the best brand outside of kitchenaide and I would probably have to buy with them again because I don't want to pay a kitchenaide price. So much for making it right...

i brought it from carrefour egypt
It doesn't work for about 2hours then I found that it is broken
And when I contacted LG customer service they told me that the cost of repair is almost the same cost of the new one
I brought it 6600and the cost of repairing is 6250
Is that reasonable
It was broken after one day only and I didn't touch it and it was placed in its place

I bought an LG washing machine Direct Drive 7kg, with serial no. "807EWHG01409" from an authorized dealer, "B.Tech" in 11/2/2019, After about 5 months, I found a cut in the door's rubber, taking in consideration that I am dealing so gently and carefully with the machine and I don't wash any hard or metallic things in it of course. I called the LG Egypt customer service to complain about the bad quality of the door's rubber and to get a solution to this problem. I was totally surprised by their response, the man was so rude and was telling me that I have to pay 1500 EGP to change the rubber because the warranty will not cover this error because it is considered as a "Misuse" without even sending any technician to examine it, and of course it is a super big amount of money to pay and it's not actually my fault. After my terrible experience with customer care, I was obligated to use the machine until I find a proper solution to my problem. I used it a couple of times then, in the third, I found that there is a heavy leakage coming from the door. So I stopped the machine, turned the electricity off and I used the lower door in the machine to get rid of the water safely. After that, I stopped using the machine. I didn't call the customer care again because of the disappointing experience I had with them the last time. Now all I need is to complain to the LG company about the poor quality that is used in washing machines in Egypt and the worst customer care ever. It was a dream for me to buy an LG washing machine because it is a well known massive company and if anything could have happened, LG will cover all and there will be no problems, but now I am deeply disappointed. Hence, I bring this situation to your attention as you have an excellent reputation in the Egyptian market. I believe I would get a quick response from you and get my problem (rubber changing and leakage) solved by LG Egypt customer care. I have enclosed the copies of cash memo and guarantee card. Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my annoyance and to complain of having an unsatisfactory response to my claim submitted to the customer service of the local LG Company in Egypt.

On 24th of January, during the Sale time, I bought a smart TV- 49LK5730- set to use in my new home as I got married in March 2019.Since I went to the honey moon vacation outside Egypt for almost a month, my husband and me, have been using the TV for only one month starting from the beginning of April 2019 till the first of May when suddenly the TV was interrupted and the photo was disrupted for unknown reason. At that time, I made a phone call to the customer service to help and send someone to see and investigate the problem but they refused to do so and they asked me instead to send them a photo for the screen through their WhatsApp., which I did immediately. An answer from them was received telling me that the screen is broken and this is not included in the warranty. I replied instantly: no body hit the TV screen, nobody pressed on the screen and no signs of damage appeared on the screen, and that is not our fault and it is a manufacture problem, but they insisted to say it's my fault and I was shocked when they asked me to pay 9500LE for replacing the screen because it is made in Korea; as they said and the shipment will be added to the costs; despite that the TV itself costs less than this price. Actually, this is not true as written behind the panel "made in Egypt". Anyway, and now I know your company has a very good reputation and supportive enough and this leads me writing you. Also, the item is in the warranty period and this problem is not my fault; I'm quite sure you can handle such issue and bring up the solution in a short period.

I called the customer service hotline to speak to a tech and see if there was a way to resolve the issue before I returned the unit to Home Depot as suggested.
Issue: Unit compressor would run for twenty seconds, and then the unit would blow warm air for a few minutes.
First rep told me unit was too big (10, 000 BTU for a 168 sq foot room. When I asked to escalate because the issue was not related to room size but rather the operation of the unit it went downhill. Jessica came on the line and told me the same thing. The first rep rudely put me on music hold. The second one hung up on me. I have never experienced such an exchange when calling a company for service. I will be returning the unit to Home Depot.
