Lexus Lexus dashboard

I bought a 2009 Lexus 350RX in 2015. I was never warned about the possibility of the dashboard failing, even though Lexus was aware of the problem at the time. I never received a letter regarding an extended warranty. A few months ago, my dashboard started cracking after taking it out of town instead of it being garaged. It is getting worse and worse and actually starting to melt. Lexus will not fix the dashboard, despite it being a known manufacturing defect.

I should have been told about this possibility by the Lexus dealership when I got the car. Despite the expiration date of the extended warranty, Lexus should still stand by its product, especially for customers who did not receive notice of this problem.

I will never buy another Toyota product again.

Lexus Employee Kenneth Johnson

I went into the Lexus dealership on 9/3/19 for a diagnostic, I ended up needing a new hybrid battery on the phone I was told my total would be $3690, when I went in to pay for the part again I was reassured that my total was $3690 we spoke again on the phone a few more times after that and I kept asking how much the total was & multiple times he reassured me the total was the same. When I went to pick my car up 9/7/19 he just so happened to leave out the taxes... How, when multiple times I asked what the total was, having to already borrow $3600 from a family member is hard, try asking for another $400 last second. Your employees should not leave out such an important thing, after spending $4058 & not the $3690 like I was told, I'm just really upset. This should've never happened. I should've been told the exact total from the get go.

Lexus Horrendous customer service from general manager, marcin ajdukiewicz

Purchasing a 2019 Lexus 350 RX in July from this dealership has become a nightmare. When purchasing this vehicle, I thoroughly explained my need for a navigation system that mirrored "Waze". However, I was misled by both my sales person and especially, the technical advisor, who definitely stated that the system did everything "Waze" can do . After purchasing my car and using this inferior system, I responded to the three surveys that I received, stating my problem. The Used Car Manager called & said he'd 'work with me' on a 2020 when they arrived, which will have the "Waze"/ApplePlay capability. Had I know this when I purchased the car, I could have waited 3 months until the 2020's arrived. After this, I received a letter from the dealership, telling me that were denying me credit for this purchase, which, naturally 'dinged' my credit rating. I PAID CASH FOR THIS CAR! After receiving this letter, I contacted the General Manager, who also said he'd work with me and call me with details on September 3th or 4th, the latest. Since September 4th, I have left at least 8 messages and emailed the General Manager 4 times. By the way, the General Manager's voicemail box has been full for over week, so the only way I could leave a message was with the phone operator or one of the Sales Managers, which I did. As of now, I still have not received a return phone call or email. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM ANY BUSINESS and would appreciate justifiable recourse.

Lexus Lexus enform

I have been paying for this service after the initial complimentary period ended. I called for a tow/charge and was told by two representatives that I was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do about it. I had to call AAA instead. My service manager contacted them and I do have roadside assistance. They did apologize but ...They failed me when I need them. Do not buy!

Lexus Dealer service

I have been a happy Lexus customer for over 15 years and with Toyota before that for 4 years. I first purchased a GX followed by an ES for my wife. Later I replaced the GX with an RX Hybrid. We still own the ES and RX but sadly these will be the last vehicles we purchase from AK. If we received good service from AK we would have replaced the ES last year.

Over the years service has gone down at AK, they continue to add other brands of vehicles, most recently BMW, which makes it difficult to schedule service for our Lexus's. When I called for my last oil change I was told I could have an appointment in 2 weeks, and loaner cars were no longer being provided, I was told as long as I was the original owner of my Lexus they would supply a loaner car and car washes we no longer get a loaner car and car washes are limited to 2 a month but the wait for a car wash is usually 2 or more hours. I scheduled the appointment for the oil change and it took a day to do a routine oil change on my RX. The service driver picking me up to go back for my car joked, there was a woman there getting her battery changed and she waited all day.

When I tried to schedule an appointment for an oil change for our ES it was a 2 week wait so I took the vehicle elsewhere to change the oil, which took less than an hour. Up until this time AK provided all the service for our Lexus's. Now they are calling me asking if I am interested in buying a BMW off of them, which I am not.

I do not care how much of a discount I am offered, if I can not obtain good timely service I will go elsewhere.

In addition, the paint on our ES started to bubble after 18 months despite the car being kept in a garage and washed weekly. AK gave me a slight discount to repaint the hood, top and trunk of the car. 2 years later the paint is coming off again even though the car is kept in the garage most of the time. I thought Lexus was a quality brand and was surprised I had to repaint a new vehicle and then the second paint job done by your dealer did not last. AK would not help me in anyway about repainting the car a third time and now with the service issues I will be looking elsewhere for our next vehicle, maybe Tesla. Even the Toyota Celica I had for 10 years that was not in a garage as much as our ES the paint never faded except for the bumpers.

Another issue with the ES about a year ago, routine oil change and service. Rotated tires and gave me the safety inspection saying everything was fine. As soon as I drove the car off the lot I could tell there was a problem with the front tires as the car was unsafe to drive. No explanation just go buy another tire even though these tires were less than a year old.

I sent an email to the US regarding this, to be told they only cover the continental 48 states. Guam was not in the drop down box for this email but I think Australia and New Zealand are included in Oceania with Guam.

I am writing to inform Lexus of the quality of service being offered on Guam.

Lexus Denying me service (olatunbosun gbolade)

I took my lexus to this dealership and I was not satisfied with the service provided and I expressed my displeasure about my experience and the service manager WES BOLES banned me from bringing my car for service at this dealership because of my complaints. I sent a complaint to the guest lexus programme and they told me the dealership has the right to deny me service. My intent is for this complaint to get to the headquarters in Japan . I do not know if this would go to lexus guest services in the united states as they were of no help. I live in Oklahoma city there is only one dealership in Oklahoma city . If I buy a lexus in Oklahoma city were do I service my car if I have been banned by the service manager? If I have a warranty do I have to drive to another city to get my car fixed? I think this service manager has exceeded his powers. I think the reason he is doing this is because I am a foreigner and he thinks I am beneath him . I would urge the head office to correct this as this man is denying me the opportunity to buy the car I want

Lexus 2017 lexus rx 350

The Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle is not living up to its expected performance. I am experiencing problems with the navigation system, which is changing to a dark frozen screen.

The other problem is that there is a knocking problem coming from the gasoline tank when it's full. The knocking sounds are annoying, and it seems like the dealerships have no idea or clue how to fix this problem. It's a problem which is going on for more than two years and continue to this day. If the problem persists with no remedies, Unfortunately, I am not going to buy another Lexus RX 350 vehicle.

Lexus 2019 lexus nx300 - scratches on left bottom frame by driver side door

I found an 8 inch area of scuff marks on left lower frame where driver door meets the frame. I took it to dealer as I didn't want the issue to get any worse and get into the paint. Dealer summed problem up by stating that I scuffed my shoes as I got in vehicle. Ridiculous! My shoes don't touch the frame of the vehicle as I enter or exit as I am a perfectly capable person with no physical disability. I don't use that part of vehicle to "hoist" myself into it. The vehicle sits low so that I simply place my right leg in and sit down and swing my left leg in alongside it. Dealer rep says she saw same scratches on 4 of their loaner NX300's. That means to me that there is a design problem with how the driver door molding contacts the frame. Lexus engineers need to further review this as it seems to happen with a number of NX300's.

I am enclosing a copy of the invoice and chat I had with dealership. Thank you.

Lexus Oil cooler line

To whom it may concern,
On April 18, 2018 I purchased a 2009 RX350 SUV. I wasn't concerned about the year because of the great reviews the Lexus brand has. And how they can easily last for 20 plus year. I have been doing my best at trying to keep up with oil changes and things like that and up until now I have been very happy with my SUV until June 28, 2019 when oil started running out of my car and the check engine light came on while I was driving home. I had no idea what was going on. The first thing I did was contacted the Lexus service department when I got home that evening. I was advised to bring the SUV in. I had it towed to Towson Lexus on 1040 York Rd Towson MD 21204 Saturday morning. I spoke with Chelsea and she gave me the bad news about the issues with the car. She told me that the Engine oil cooler line pipe had broken and that there was a recall on the part for the last 10 yrs. She then informed me that I had missed the deadline by 9 months and that the car had not been serviced by a Lexus dealer in years and that because of that the company may not want to service the SUV. I explained to her that I can't and shouldn't be held accountable for what previous owners did because I am here now. She explained that it would cost me $1300 to have it fixed. I expressed my concerns and asked how would I have know there was a problem when it didn't show up on the the Maryland State Inspection? At that time she explained that it's one of those things you don't know you have a problem until it happens. I told her that wasn't fair to me or any other customer who had this problem. I asked her to please reach out to customer services and please advocate for me. She told me that she would when she returned on Tuesday and she gave me a loaner car. However she called me today and told me that it was a no and that it was my problem. I asked her for the number and I called this afternoon when I got home and the customer representative I spoke with was not customer friendly at all she repeated over and over again that it was my problem and we are not fixing it. I asked her where was her heart of compassion and why was she so cold. At the end of the day I'm a customer regardless of where or who I purchased the car from. She stated she would submit a claim to the a customer care person and she would tell them that she told me that it was my problem and not a Lexus issue.
I never thought in a million years I would have every received this type of treatment from a company who stands behind there brand that they provide great luxury with minor issues. A product thats built last for generations to come.
It should not matter where or who I brought the car from because at the end of day I still choose to purchase your brand and when people see the car they see a very reliable luxury car what they don't see is the manufacture your brand choose used a product that was faulty and defective and you don't know you have this issue until it happens to you. And when it happens if it didn't happen with in the 10 yr time frame it's the customer responsibility . The customer did not decide to get the cheaper part. At least I know I did not make that choice. So why should I have to foot the bill for the manufacture that Lexus company partner with? The Lexus company made a decision not to do a total recall for this problem and allowed their customers to wait for this issue to happen to them. I believe this is very unfair to me and any other customer.
I am a single mother who works as a public school secretary I don't have $1300 laying around some where to fix this car and deal with the other concerns with the car.
I am hope that you would stand behind your brand and your reputation and help me with this matter.
Thank you,
Tanya Lassiter

Lexus Customers service

"Lexus customers for life" is clearly not what the company is concerned about...any longer!
Lexus International, is only concerned with making excuses for individual dealerships miss treating and lying to customers.
Lexus International only response to dealerships not providing quality and guaranteed services ( advertised and warranty) is " Individual dealerships can refuse providing any "Lexus International advertised guaranteed customers for life service" after the Auto is sold.
For example: something as low cost as washing Lexus vehicles or checking tire pressure!
Or, tires for life...using any miner thing to say...a customer didn't service the vehicle...at their dealership.
Our first Lexus was in 1992, next 2002, last 2003. We still own the 2002. We sold the 2003 to The dealerships in May 2019. One month later took the 2002 for a complimentry carwash ( Lexus Melbourne FL) and we were told... because we purchased the 2002 at Lexus of Melbourne...they would not wash the vehicle.
Outrageous and small minded abuse of client!

Lexus Lexus navigation restarts all day

I was charged close to $700 for my radio that had no sound. Once I picked up my car it started doing this all day reset of my navigation system. I took it back to Lexus and was told that there is a master reset to navigation systems that are having this problem. My car has been to Lexus 2 times for this same problem and it still doesn't work correctly. This morning it started working and I know later on going home it will go back to the restarting things it's doing.

Lexus Auto loan / defective car

pursuing a lemon law claim

Hello,
I purchased a used car from Lexus of Rockville on Saturday May 25, 2019 and as I was driving home I heard a "pressure buffeting sound" (sounds like a window is cracked - but all windows are up) I contacted Lexus on my way home and they told me to bring back the car. I returned with the car may 26, 2019 and the salesman and sales manager told me they would not take the car back because I pulled off the lot with the car. They refused to even look at the car. And informed me there was a no return policy. Which is ridiculous. Now, I'm stuck with a $50k that I can't drive. The noise is so bad it impedes my ability to drive, which is a complete safety hazard. I even asked Kwame and a manager if they could take this car back and let me finance a different car and the said "Absolutely not". Another Manager Steve sat quietly and didn't say a word - he pretended he didn't know anything. He didn't even try to help or assist. The management staff could careless. So, said to treat women this way. I have own 2 Toyota's and Never experienced anything like this. I wanted to do business with Lexus because I always had good experiences but I notice your customer service has fallen way behind the curve. Very Disappointing experience. Daily I deal with correspondences with the White House and customer service is always our one number one concern but clearly Lexus of Rockville does not believe in customer I'm requesting that this transaction be cancelled before Friday. Lexus is purchasing defective cars from auto auctions and is selling defective cars and making a profit. This is considered deceptive practices and fraudulent. Dealer is selling faulty vehicles and I'm requesting a refund

Lexus Interior (see attached pictures) of lexus is250

I just bought the car on Jan this year and the car is slightly more than 10 years now (i.e. 10 years 3 months). The car is working fine except for the interior which I noted the rubber is pealing/dropping off. I'm quite surprise with the poor quality of it as I had drove other cars that are more than 10 years but no such problem at all. This is my first time buying a Lexus and I'm not sure if I will still go for this brand as I was told by the service engineer that this is common for a 10 years car. As such, I would like to hear from the management on this and since I'm going to drive this car for at least another 5 years, please let me know what can I do to rectify the interior condition.

Lexus Warranty coverage for known issue dealership will not cover

2015 Lexus RX350 VIN #: 2T2BK1BA2FC342817

I purchased my RX350 on 11/24/18, however the one I purchased was not the vehicle I was told was available. The one I wanted was sold two days prior and I was never told that till I was at the dealership. Anyways, I purchased a 2015 Lexus RX350 similar to the one I wanted. The vehicle had been a lease, owned by Lexus till we purchased it on 11/24 and it had ~27-8k miles, it also came with a Lexus Certification and 161 point inspection. This made me feel confident in the condition of the vehicle.

I had the 30k mile service done on 2/20/19, just prior to us heading to FL to visit my wife father. This was more to confirm my confidence in the vehicle prior to driving it to FL. Service was completed, vehicle was good to go for the trip.
In FL, we had a few days of hot humid weather and accordingly ran the AC. A couple days later, we had a book fall between the seat and the console and when we removed it we found it soaked with water and wet. When we checked the carpet under the front seats, they were soaked to the touch.

When we got home, I scheduled it for warranty repair on March 6th, since I was told my warranty was good to 2021. It was determined that the heat exchanger drain tube for the AC had been clogged with spider webs causing the water to back up and overflow onto the carpet. I also found out that there is a filter that can and probably should have been placed on the bottom of this tube to prevent the spider webs to begin with.

After confronting the Service Consultant and General Manager, I have basically been told that this is not covered by warranty, even though it is a design issue. Based on this, I facing an ~$2, 200 service cost for a vehicle I purchased in November which had a 161 point inspection and was Lexus Certified..

Several points for consideration regarding the repair and who should cover it:
> The vehicle was a lease, owned by Lexus prior to my purchase
> Vehicle was LEXUS CERTIFIED
> Vehicle had a 161 point inspection, which included the cabin filter and AC

Statements:
> I do not believe this issue only occurred since my purchased on 11/24/18
> The 161 point inspection specifically calls outs inspection the Cabin Filter (which was soaked in our vehicle) and the AC
> The vehicle was technically owned by Lexus till we purchased.

I think Lexus and/or the dealership should cover some if not all the repair costs and not pass it on to the consumer! This is supported by the fact that there is a filter that can and should be applied to stop this issue!

I am looking for some assistance to rectify the issue, make my vehicle whole again and restore my fair in Lexus/Toyota.

Please let me know your thoughts,

Lexus Deceptive car advertising

Long story short.

Do not buy a 2019 lexus es350 f sport from this dealership or any other in the united states. Their much advertised lexus safety system+ 2.0 is a fraud on this car model. ("consumer fraud occurs when a product or service does not perform as advertised".)
The "road sign assist" does not work no matter what you do.
Lexus so called "technology specialist" and lexus engineers are unable to fix the problem as of january 9, 2019.
I bought a 2019 brand new one for over $50, 000 on november 14. 2018 and the system has not worked from day one, even that lexus advertisement shows a photo showing a red stop sign on the head up. Nice photo shop lexus.

I have been in contact with the lexus dealership and lexus head quarters since I found out the system just does not work, and all I have gotten is a run around.

If you want further information feel free to call me

Peter desser
[protected]

Up-date:
On january 10, 2019 at 11:12 am I received a call from lexus escondido technology specialist rick barnicort telling me that the 2019 es350 f sport they sold me does not have the "road sign assist" I paid for even that lexus advertise it does and all my paper work on the car says it does. If this is not fraud, I don't know what is.

I will now file a complaint with the california consumer protection agency and the federal trade commission about the deceptive car advertising lexus is doing.

Lexus Door lock actuator failure on 3 out of 4 doors on a 2014 lexus gx460

I have had 3 out of 4 door lock actuators fail on a 2014 lexus gx460 with 65000 miles. Each replacement is $633 at the dealer. I complained to lexus customer service and was told that since there was no current recall in force or since the car was out of warranty, lexus was unable to refund any repair costs. The first lock failure was at 52000 miles, 2000 miles over the alleged warranty. I would urge any prospective lexus purchaser to heed the warning of inferior door lock actuators.

Lexus My gas tank won't open

I went by pembroke pines lexus on sunday nov 11, 2018 and had the worst experience with service advisor ed. Who told me the could not take care of the issue only monday through friday and when I asked if they would give me a loaner they stated yes. I showed up the following date nov 12th at 7:45am to be told they can not give me a loaner and instead they gave me a ride to my work. Within an hour and a half they told me by service advisor andre that car was ready and they would send a drive to come pick me up. I can not be leaving my job due to meetings and asked why couldn't they just bring me my car and he told me that for deliveries and pick up it needs to be scheduled. I have been a customer for over 7 years and am disgusted with this service especially since the day before the sales manager frank and richard both assured me that if I showed up on monday like I did I would have a loaner car to avoid this inconvenience. This is the worst service ever!
