I definitely believe this Legacy scamming Co. needs to be put my out of business. My Mom who has stage 4 cancer, excepted numerous collect calls from one of her sons with NO knowledge of the price per call, now has NO phone. When opening her phone bill from AT&T and seeing her $70 a month bill is NOW $1500.00. Living on a fixed income, needless to say CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY IT!. I can't believe that AT&T would affiliate their company with such a scam.. I feel a class action lawsuit should be filed A.S.A.P.. I too believe that the media should be involved.. I am going to take the necessary measures to get to the bottom of this!

I just got this phone number from cricket and people are calling me asking about it I keep saying you got the wrong number this guy said he was calling the cops on me I was like umm you have the wrong number I just got this phone number 2 months ago he got mad and said i was scamming people so mad at the CRICKET company for giving this phone number to me its not a landline its a cell phone now I dont know when all this happened but it wasnt me please stop calling my phone

This Company is a joke I use my Debit card to make a call twice and both times no one pick up they dont have an answering machine and these people still charge me 56 cents the first time and 18.84 the second time . this is not wright I need my money so I call them they to me to wright them a letter and they will get back to me in 30 days. Yea wright

I was charged $60.00 for a 5 minute phone call to my husband in Kentucky from a payphone in California. I'm flabbergasted. If anyone is filing a class action lawsuit, I hope I get included.

Legacy should be prosecuted for ripping people of! Nothing like kicking someone when they're down!

I recieved a all from a friend in a texas prison faciliy for 4 minutes and 45 seconds and i was charged $15.01! This is outrageous and ths company is a rip-off. I will be reporting them to the BBB and i suggest everyone else do the same. They should be shut down.

Two collect calls i accepted and wad billrd $23.07 this is outragous

My husband was admitted into Episcopal Hospital he had to make a collect call to let us know where he was and what happen 24hrs after the collect call $23.07 was charged to my bank acct. He is less than 8mins away from our home. We didn't have.long conversation... I don't understand why it cost so darn much it's unfair!

This company is a scam that takes advantage of people in unforeseeable situations. My son used a pay phone in Las Angeles and we spoke less than 10 minutes on each occasion and my card was hit for $23+ each time. This is a Rip-OFF company that should be ashamed of themselves. We could go buy a prepaid phone with a free 10 minutes cheaper than making a call through this company.

I received a collect call from a friend who was calling from a payphone since her phone was dead. We spoke for about 3 minutes and my credit card got charged $35. If they think they're entitled to charge any amount of money, they should atleast inform the customer upfront on what the rates are

I have the same complaint, I received a call from my daughter in the hospital, and nothing was mentioned as far as connection fees or anything. The call lasted less than 10 minutes, and I was charged $35.00. I called Legacy to complain, and they took 15 percent off, big deal. I said whoever runs this company is nothing but a money hungry ###, , taking advantage of people who are down and out. Rip off artists!

My wife used the card at the airport to use the phone service. The phone device shows the rate of 50 cents.As she did not have any change, she used the card assuming the charge will be 50Cents. Howevr they charge 7.84USD+1USD is a pending charge for a call she made and talked for less than a minute. I looked up online for this vendor and found lot of people complaining about this service provider. Therefore i decided to dispute these charge. Hope someone takes action againt this company who does not have any transperancy in charges

I just had the same thing happened to me. I called them and advised that there was no way that I accepted the calls because it is just me and my 3 year old son and we werent even home. The person I spoke to was not helpful so I told him I wasn't going to pay them and have sent in my dispute.

I was charged for collect calls from payphones even though I didn't accept the calls and in a few cases I'm pretty sure nobody even picked up the phone.
Automatic minimum 5 minutes they told me. 4.25 each and later the next month it was 8.70 each. Total about $80 in charges to my AT&T bill.

Sent emails to reps etc, no word back from them. Thinking about dropping AT&T altogether.

Legacy has charged me $242.66 for five 3rd party calls made from a NC coin phone to a Fl. unknown cell phone owner. My wife and I are the only occupants of my home, neither of us made the calls, receive the calls nor give permission for the calls to be charged to my phone and we have not been in NC for years. Calls to Legacy, Verizon and ZPDI were exasperating. No one can do anything, requests to speak to supervisors resulted in being cut off or not receiving call back cards. Numerous phone calls, faxes have given me the impression, they do not care, are in business to rip off (up to $11.03 per minute in my case) and have quite frankly told me that due to deregulation, they can charge anything they want. In my case, I believe fraud has been commited. I have already written the President of the U.S., my two Senators and Representative and will continue working down. I have only just begun...
