Leader Relocations Motorcycle shipping

Motorcycle shipped by Leader to uk. Long delays. Poor communication . Motorcycle arrived damaged . Claimed under insurance policy which they sold as "all risks". Insurance company Travel Guard International avoided paying claim in full claiming policy was just all risks. Long complaint process to TGI who offered a small percentage of claim as goodwill whilst admitting Leader had clearly caused damage. Asked Leader to pay balance of claim as they were clearly responsible and had sold me an "all risks" policy which was not fit for purpose . To date Leader have ignored my request to settle . Clearly a dishonest and evasive company . All e mails on file to validate claim.

Desired outcome: Payment of goodwill claim by Leader equivalent to remainder of claim .

Leader Relocations relocation services - international

I used this company to help me with relocation to France. I requested them two quotes (The details are available in the attached documents)

1). A comprehensive quotation for everything (furniture, electronic items, personal goods, utensils etc)
2). A quote covering selected houshold items and personal goods (including utensils etc).

The surveyor visited us and after doing a complete inventory check (and taking pics) provided quotation for both. Given the cost, we decided to move forward with the selected item quotes and not for a comprehensive one (since it was cheaper to buy many things in France than paying the shipping cost). The quoted volume was 3 CBM.

However, to our surpise on the day of removal and packing, it appeared that the quotation by the surveyor was wrong and actual volume came up to be around 7CBM. It is strange that a company which is in daily business of moving/packing can miscalculate the volume to an extent of 100%. It seems that this is a trick to lure the customers with low quotes and thereafter charge them high when all the packing etc is done. Since the packing was already done, I had little option but to negotiate a new rate for the shippment. If i would have known from the beggining the actual cost, I would have discarded many things. It is understandable that there is a variance of 20% but a difference of 100% can be ony deliberate.

The story does not end here. Once the goods have arrived in England (point of clearance before being transferred to France), the local agents contacted me to pay the border clearance charge. This was something new because as per the quotation of Leader Relocation, everything is included in the price that they were charging (door to door) unless there are some incidental charges by the local authorities. However, these clearning charges were not by local authorities but by the clearning agent. I tried to contact and discuss with leader relocation but no satisfactory answer was provided (i had to write multiple emails and calls to get vague replies). Anyways being in a ransome kind of situation, to get my shippment, I paid these charges to the local agent.

However, the worst part is that despite going all through this, I have no confirmed date of receiving my shipmment. On the initial contact with Leaders Relocation, it was mentioned that I should be getting my shippment in France within 45 to 60 days. However, even after 3 months, the local agent is not able to give me any date on which they will arrange for a transfer (The relocation was done on 8th December). I have very serious concerns here. If i had to pay for the charges to the local agent, I should have the right to select the one which can deliever to me at an earliest. I was never provided that right and Leader Relocation selected their agent (of course i would have not objected if i did not have to pay extra). The standard answer I am getting from local agent is that "We do not have vehicles available in your area and will be advised when routed". How can leader relocation get me an agent which do not have frequent delieveries to France (while the shipment is for France)? More so when I am the one who is paying for local agent clearning.

I would advise all to stay away from this company. The matter has been formally reported to local authorities for appropriate action. I can see from this forum that the company is repeatedly doing this.

Leader Relocations moving service

I would not recommend this company. The initial contact with them in the UAE was good and the packing up of the house went well. However all our belongings had to be repacked in Oman and when unpacking at final destination it was a disaster. Items appeared to have been thrown into boxes with no consideration of keeping to the packing procedure followed during the initial packing. As a result items were broken or damaged. Clothes which had been placed in hanging boxes were just dumped into normal boxes (suits were crumpled and unwearable). Posters were crushed (these may be low value but have sentimental value to the children). Boxes of documents were placed inside upside down with no lid. Items from inside the house were placed in boxes with garden items. These are just examples. We had to pay a significant amount of money in addition to the original quotation for this second packing which was conducted in the most unprofessional and negligent manner. A full report was sent to the company with images and we are still waiting three months later for an apology or even just an acknowledgement.

I have attached a few images giving some examples of what was found when boxes were opened. This is NOT professional packing. These items may be of low monetary value but do have sentimental value and should not just be dumped into boxes.

Our move to the UAE was unavoidable and hence we contacted what we thought was a professional moving company to help us overcome the restrictions. I strongly disagree with your assessment above. Storage and physical shipment of the items did not cause the damage. We paid additional money for what we thought would be a professional repacking of our possessions in Oman. The service we got was a disgrace as I have demonstrated in the images sent to you in a report. We did not get what we paid the extra money for.

Leader Relocations international shipping

Bad service and unprofessional people I've shipped my household (25 cartons and bike) from Abu Dhabi to Germany against a hefty amount. they promised to ship in 50 days, I received after 100 days, more than three months after chasing through phone and many emails with a missing carton. Their agent in UK Greens Movers are also the same, they sent the shipment with a driver without any helpers! He reached late at night and he has to carry everything alone from his truck to my place. The bike was inside a wooden crater and he doesn't have any idea how to download it, I had to help him while suffering from back pain, it took us Around two hours to break the wooden crater using some house tools and download the bike, then noticed that they have left the front light on so battery died and I had to push it it up the slope to reach the garage while it's too heavy. the whole process since removing until delivery was a nightmare, I had to buy almost half of the shipped items which costed me a lot. Since last Monday I sent them three emails asking about carton no..14 but no answer!,

Leader Relocations shipping

This company shipped my belongings from Dubai to Shanghai in June. The shipment arrived in port September 19, but I am unable to get it out of customs because they shipped it in the name of the person I was sharing the container with -- a complete stranger-- instead of waiting for my visa to come through and shipping my things in my name. Now my belongings are stuck in customs -- for two months now -- and no hope of getting them out anytime soon. Usually, in China customs is 7 to 10 days. They don't return calls. They don't answer emails. They've offered no help whatsoever. I've traveled all over the world with my shipments, and I've never heard of such a terrible shipper. I've quite possibly lost everything I own. Now I have to invest in an attorney to investigate if I can sue them or have them prosecuted for theft.

Leader Relocations terrible service-threw my furniture - impolite - ignored my emails

I was shipping my furniture to Australia.
1- I felt that my furniture was hijacked. Their 2 Australian partner companies who should deliver the furniture, wanted to extort me and tried to make me pay more money, otherwise they will not make the delivery or delay it.

One time a man who sounded like he was drunk called me and talked to me in a vary rude and threatening way.

At the end they threw my goods inside my house and left.
And of course when I tried to email them, they didn't respond.

Leader Relocations - shipping company - poor standards and dishonest

This company handled our relocation from Dubai to the US. Worst packing job ever, half of our furniture arrived shattered to pieces. They took apart furniture pieces and rolled up the screws altogether into once piece of paper and labeled them "screws", we didn't know what screws went with what piece, a total mess and loss. Leader Relocations dishonest, terrible customer service, shipment poorly packed, goods arrives completely damaged and irreparable

I used this company in July. They told me US Customs might charge 500 USD IF shipment was inspected, turned out to be 1200 USD. Also, They didn't inform the company here in the US that my furniture that was taken apart would need to be assembled. 5 pieces of furniture arrives completely shattered and not fixable. Other furniture was scratched, rubbed and stained. Several glass items broken to bits and pieces because they had been packed as a bundle with just paper around them. Screws for furniture that was taken apart were simply packed and taped in a rolled piece of paper labeled 'screws", the guys putting the furniture back together in the US couldn't figure out what screws went to what furniture piece. Company is unresponsive and ignores any communication or correspondence. Stay away from them! I can't believe they are even able to operate as a moving company with this poor workmanship.
