Dr. Lam deformed my face, uneven eyes with one eye being more slanted the the other, lumps of scar tissue irregularly permanently embedded in my skin. There was so much inflammation and scarring it restricted my facial movements and in fact causes bruising/pain from the jagged edges of the scar tissue when you try to move. He then tries to cover up his mistake by using a gag order so that the public does not find out what he has done to me. Dr. Lam destroyed my face, took away quality years of my life, and now I had to see various top specialists and also had to go overseas to get his work fixed. I'm still not back to what I used to be, and seeing Dr. Lam turned out to be big burden on my bank account. This fees are high but not nearly as he cost to fix his mistakes. I would love to post photographs of complications of his procedures but then I am no longer anonymous and would be in a legal scuffle for not abiding by Dr. Lam's gag order. He has not made any attempts to fix his error by referring me to specialists experienced in fixing botched surgeries but instead he wanted to put in MORE in the eye sockets that after seeing more experienced doctors would have been an egregious mistake and would have affected my eye movements if he had done this. He should have paid for my visits to get his work repaired for more experienced doctors who deal with corrective surgeries, not make the PROBLEM WORSE AND AFFECT MY VISION/EYE MOVEMENT by putting in more filler that caused this problem in the first place with all the fibrosis/stiffness/pain. He never makes appropriate amends but covers up his mistakes and scares his patients from coming public. A competent, responsible physician might offer an apology and financial compensation to get this fixed, if not then appropriate referrals to the best surgeons to correct his mistakes, not silence you with a gag order to keep what he did to me a secret.

Dr. Sam Lam is irresponsible and unfit to practice medicine. He left the practice while I was still unconscious under general anesthesia and I was left alone with a couple of nurses. It took time for the anesthesia to wear off and I nearly passed out as I walked to the restroom by myself with no assistance because the nurses were too busy prepping for the next patient. Where was he? Where were the anesthesiologists he hired? If he had an emergency to tend to while I was still unconscious why could he not make sure an anesthesiologist was present at the facilities to make sure that I recovered. I blacked out a few times on the way to the restroom to get changed from the gown and nearly hit my head on the toilet. I was so uncoordinated and the room was practically spinning. I never received an apology for him running out on me while I was unconscious. Cosmetic surgeons who are self employed need to be held just as accountable as doctors in hospitals. My hope is that this is relayed to the appropriate authorities because Dr. Lam needs to be brought before them and warned and investigated for negligence before the American Medical Association or the Medical Board in Plano, Texas.

Cosmetic surgery doesn't make you look younger, it makes you look like an older woman who had cosmetic surgery. He has a warped sense of what is pretty and some of the videos hes showing online show women who look very plastic and pretty obvious they had something done that many people have commented. Some of these women look worse if not exactly the same and hes raving on about how much more younger and different they look. If you want to see what he did to me, take a look at Lara Flynn Boyle's before and afters. Her afters are too similar to what he did to my face. He told me how great it looked and how it took years off of me. Man is out of his mind.

And to answer your question, I did sit on the floor in the bathroom to get steady and there were NO NURSES who helped me. They were too busy in the operating room cleaning up getting ready for the next patient. No doctor stays in the recovery room, but doctors are obliged to make sure a trained medical professional remains with the patient until he or she recovers from anesthesia before sending them off to the recovery. That person could be the surgeon or could be the anesthesiologist. You can not leave a patient while they are still under general anesthesia, what if they stop breathing? Whos going to revive them, the nurses?

Mr. Lam said he just wanted to make my face “Look Beautiful” with fat grafting but he made me look like I have Cushings and one eye looks more lopsided than the other. He injected fat into my brows and now I permanently like an angry man. He tells people what they want to hear and told me it would get better, it didn’t it got worse and more lopsided over the years. I’m an adult, least he could have done was be honest instead of telling me nonsense to make himself sound knowledgeable. He is very eloquent and so confident you can’t help but believe him and not realize he has atrocious technical ability. He charged just under 9000 which is the biggest ripoff in the history of mankind. What enfuriates me is that he’s had failed surgeries before and he had all those removed. Those POSTINGS COULD HAVE SAVED MY LIFE from this person and I wish more than anything that I need not be writing this right now.

Dr. Lam isn't even a real plastic surgeon but he is just an Ear-Nose-Throat doctor with misleading websites. Doing a couple of worships or fellowships is nothing compared to real plastic surgeons who did their full residency in plastic surgery and are TRAINED AS SURGEONS. Know the difference before he leaves you with poor results, inflammation from what may be infection, and short of $$$. Take it from me, the best plastic surgeons in hair transplants are real plastic surgeons and not just an ENT doctor who did a few fellowships. It took a real plastic surgeon to fix Dr. Lam's mess and now I have an improved hairline.
