Ladies Premier Fitness Scam Artists

***Please watch out before you join this gym! They are definitely scam artists!

My friend *Charlie had won a membership to The Ladies Premier Fitness in Centerville near the Dayton mall, and over the phone, he was told he won 250 dollars and (I do believe) a free membership that extended to my friend *Jessie and I. In person, he had actually won only 200, and the con artist (I can't remember his name, so I'll call him Dave) said Charlie could use the 200 dollars towards the entrance fee of 250 dollars, and Jessie and I could pay the other 25, or all three of us could put in 20. I knew I was going to be moving 500 miles away for college but I figured I could join this gym and cancel, but maybe rejoin at a location nearby my college since Dave had insisted we could cancel whenever we wanted. And Dave said each month we had a locked fee of 25 dollars, but the first month was free. Charlie and I paid in 20 dollars, and Jessie said she was going to do the trial and see if she liked the gym or not before she paid in, so we only paid in 240 and she gave him no bank information for him to withdraw any money. And when we were lead around the gym, Dave kept making flirty passes at me that made me feel very uncomfortable, touching me unnecessarily (not in sexual places, but come on, he didn't need to be touching me at all) and complimenting my body while basically humiliating my friends (they are bigger people) in front of me, especially during our conference with him in regards to what we wanted to work on. And the one time we went to the location in Centerville, I felt very uncomfortable with Dave around, and according to Jessie he was trying to get a glimpse of my back side as I was walking around a corner. Professionalism, people! This gym sent Jessie a bill for 25 dollars, even though we never technically joined, especially her who didn't even pay a cent. I went into cancel today (it's been around a month, and it was before my stunning realization we didn't even completely pay the entrance fee) and the workers told me I could not cancel because there is only a three day gap before you can't cancel, and we are (unknowingly) locked into a three-year contract. So I called National Fitness (who runs Ladies Premier Fitness) and the woman that answered said "There is no way out of a legal contract." and that was about it. There is a lot wrong with that statement legally, but if I went into it then this would be a lot longer of a complaint. We are going in Monday to have a very serious discussion with Dave, this is not a joke and we are not going to simply let this die.

The gym is lovely but these people will say anything to get you join, even if it means to lie to you. Take it from me. I hope this helped!

Ladies Premier Fitness lack of security and safety for customers

My window was busted out and handbag stolen that was hidden under seat, this happend to 4 cars on this day, police officer informed me it happens on a regular basis as there are no cameras in parking lot, so far I have been deleted of 6000.00 from checking even though I closed it and followed all procedures, since ladies premier fitness are aware this happens on a regular basis something should have been done, it was not, and now I will not return there as I have to fear my safety and vehicle safety.

I am preparing a law suit and will get anyone else that htis happendd to involved.

I understand your anger and frustration, but how is it the fault of the facility that you chose to leave your valuables in a locked vehicle instead of a locker inside of the facility. I am not an employee of Premier Fitness; I am just a member who encourages everyone to protect themselves by not leaving your valuable in your vehicle while you work out at a gym. Gym parking lots are hot spots for vehicle break ins. They always have been and they always will be. And even when there are security cameras installed, the possibility of the recovery of your stolen items is very unlikely. Protect yourselves from becoming a victim.

I feel they do not care about the people just the money. The two people responding back on here are probably employees. If this is a repeat offense why can they not afford the camera's?

Ladies Premier Fitness Scam and rip off!

I signed with Premier Fitness in Huber Heights, Ohio on 3-21-04. Due to back injuries I was forced to put a freeze on my membership on 8-11-04. I had went in on that date 8-11-04 to speak with the manager she is the one in which explained on how to place the freeze and how it works. I explained to her that I would have to undergo a number of back surgeries to correct my injuries. She explained that it would be ok that my membership would still be ok for the freeze puts a hold on my membership and the time I didn't get to use would be there once I got a release from my doctor.

Well I paid my membership off 3-21-07, I got a release to do light workouts from my doctor the 3rd week of Feb,08. I called National Fitness to remove my freeze and Brooklynn told me that it was canceled and I would have to re-sign. I explained what took place and she told me to give her a few days and she would get it took care of. After 3 dayts no phone call. I have an answering machine on my house phone and I gave her my cell. So, I called her. It was now Thursday Feb,28,08.

She was rude and told me that I was not gonna get the 31 months in which I had left of un-used time. I asked to speak with her manager and she told me that she was the only one I could go thru. We had words. She refused me my membership number as well. I waited until the next day and I called back hoping to speak with a Superviser but, the ladie that answered put me back with Brooklyn.

On March 6,08 I recieved a letter in the mail dated 2-29-08 stating thank you for your recent inquiry about my membership with Premier Fitness Huber. It said' we have new information regarding my inquiry '. It then said ' We have been unable to reach you, Please call [protected] to resolve this issue '. I called ASAP. I spoke with Dwayne. I went over all of this with him. I was on hold back n forth with him for over 1 hr. He was trying to get me a Supervisor. He also explained that I had within 1 year after my membership was paid to to undo my freeze. I told him I was within the year and still had over a month left and I asked why is that not part of the contract and why I was not notified of this new rule? He said ' he did not know and he said his-self he didn't understand why I wasn't getting honored my time I paid for and was unable to use. He then put me on hold again and came back and he said ' They were all very busy and one would return my call within 24 hrs. I thanked him and I made sure I told him he was very polite. I had already told him what I had went through with Brooklynn.

Well it's 24 hrs later still no call. It's time for me to call The Attorney's General's Office, The BBB in both are and my own Attorney.

I am 21 years old and recently I won the 30 day free pass to Premeir Lady Fitness in Kettering, Ohio. I was told and it was to my understanding that within those 30 days if I wanted to cancel my membership I was able too. Brittany told me this. So within those 30 days I called Brittany, and told her I needed to cancel my membership because I can't afford it. She tells me I can't and the only way I can cancel is if I'm moving 25 miles away or more. Furious about this, I told her this is not what I understood and not what she had mentioned. She says forbadem, "well I most certainly do not deceive my customers." Please. Luckily, I am moving 25 miles away for school. So I went into Premeir Lady Fitness and spoke with Brittany "joy" on what I needed to cancel the membership. She told me a written statement and proof of me moving. After asking her "are you sure this is enough information needed to cancel" she says yes. So I fax the paperwork to national fitness and of course after numerous rude phone calls they say to me it's not enough information to show that I am moving. That I need two proofs of me moving. Did I mentioned I recorded this whole transaction between me and Brittany. I am taking legal action and hope to have a petition up online against this company and National Fitness. It's truly unfortunate what they do to their customers a company of deceit and greed. Save yourself a lot of headache do not step anywhere near this place.

I signed a 3 year contract and it has been 5 years and they are still taking out money from my account. When I called to try to cancel, they say its renewed every year. I never renewed it and never wanted it renewed. I don't see on my contract where it would be renewed. Very pissed off.

Personally I have been going to the Kettering one for a year now and have no complaints. None that I wouldnt have at any place. Yes, the people that work there can be rude, but I dont want them bothering me anyway. The one time I had a problem there is was with some teenagers not following pool rules. I got out of my class and told the people at the front desk and they went and took care of it. They are not the devil company you all are making them out to be. They have nice equipment, the ladie I have worked with has always been friendly, she tried pressuring my friend into a membership but my friend was smart enough to not be bullied. She took her 30 day free trial and gave no cc information. They cant make you give it up you know. They dont hold a gun to your head and force you to sign your soul away. Now yes, they are going to try to make a sale using any angle possible but they are sales people also. It is how they make extra money, commission. You women sound like you just need to be stronger with the NO and stop blaming the company because you didnt read your contracts well enough or because you didnt use it and decided you didnt wanna pay for it anymore. That isnt the companies fault.

Wow, I REALLY wish I had read these before going in to this place. I got a phone call a few days back telling me I won some giftcards, and to set up a time to pick them up. The lady on the phone said they were from PREMIER fitness, and to go to the Kettering Location; now, the only Kettering location I know is a LADIES premier, so I went to that one. When I told the ladies at the front about the phone call, they sort of just stared at me like I was an idiot, then one of them (Dove) motioned me over to her desk. I was confused, I was just there to pick up my giftcards! She immediately put a card in front of me to fill out, asking why I wanted to join and what parts of my body I wanted to work on. I had no interest in joining, I'm out of a job currently, and was there SIMPLY because of the phone call.

Well, I went along with it. Next Dove started chit-chatting with me about irrelevant things, often disappearing to help someone else or make a phone call. Before I knew it she was roping me into a contract, asking how much I could afford to pay monthly, etc. WTF. I came in for FREE GIFT CARDS. Somehow I thought this was apart of getting my 30 days free, so I signed what she put in front of me. Now I find out I've been scammed into a three year contract! I NEVER agreed to that - not once did it come up in conversation. She kept asking me when I thought I could make my first payment; I'm thinking, I don't want to talk about payments when this is a TRIAL 30 day deal. Luckily I'm within my 3 days, so I'm going in here shortly to get this canceled. They better not charge me for any months, I swear I can't stand people who stoop so low just to make a buck

I to was suckered into signing a contract at the Ladies Premier Fitness in Kettering.
After winning a two 30-day passes I was told I had three business days to cancel. I went back on the following day, which was a Friday, to cancel and I was told by Dove ( yes that is her name) that I would have to come back on Monday because no one was working in the office and the person I signed with would not be in until than. She told me she was only a trainer and did not have the auhtority to cancel the contract. Well I made some-what of a scene and she signed the contract cancellation. I knew she was lying about not being a CSR because when I walked in she was on the telephone trying to seal a deal and she motioned me over to her. When I told why I was there her whole attitude changed.
So as far as the actual cancellation of my contract goes'' We Will See''.

I had a bad experience with this gym too! All was fine...untill I got a call from my sister (who was listed as my emergency contact-she lives in another state) saying someone left a message for me on her phone from National Fitness to call a 800 number. I am thinking they need me to update my card info because I recently reported my debit card lost. When I call the 800 number it says "This is a debt collector"

My account was less than one week late AND the reason it was late, which they were aware, is because my card (which is auto billed) was reported as lost or stolen. They knew this and did not bother calling me first!

When I called my local gym in Longwood, FL to complain I was told my personal number was not on file. That is not correct because when I called the 1 800 number my second question after why did you call my sister was do you have my phone number. Needless to say, they did!

Reading the above post it seems it is their common practice to call and harrass whoever you list as your emergency contact for payment. I am really upset because it is not like I didn't pay...my card info needed to be updated. My advice: NEVER sign more than a one year contract...even if you have to pay a little more each month. In the long run...you can sign one once the first period is over and you decide the company is both reputable and fair. After reading all these reports about Lady of America (which I didn't read before) they seem to have some shady business practices (pressing for a 3 year contract, payment policies (calling emergency contacts), poor customer service, etc...)
