La Quinta Inns & Suites poor quality and deplorable customer service

I've never written a review on a hotel before, but this experience was so awful that it would be a disservice not to let other people know about it. Please don't waste your money. It took 30 minutes yesterday to get checked-in. When we got to the room, it was dusty and smelled. The alarm clock was blaring. We called the front desk in the morning for extra coffee and cups since we ran out. The woman at the front desk literally interrupted me, cut me off, and directed me to actually leave my room and FIND a housekeeper to help me. The front desk couldn't be bothered to even hear from a guest or help. The level of unprofessionalism and overt rudeness here is just shocking. Maybe don't be in the hospitality business. Also, the room next to us was loud all night with dogs barking, so we got no sleep. Pay more to go somewhere else is our advice. Really poor customer service here. We left to go find a housekeeper, couldn't find anyone, and have been waiting over an hour for help becuase we can't find a housekeeper and the front desk won't help. We are staying at the Carter Lake, Iowa location. We are disgusted.

Forgot bank card at work. It was after midnight when I got back after work.
Told desk person what happened
She had to call the assistant general manager if I could get in the room and pay first thing tomorrow. I have always paid before noon.
Exception to stay of course not.

She said no even though I have a service dog. So I walked the streets. But did tell her I was not taking the dog out the room.
All my clothes were still in there.

La Quinta Inns & Suites a worker

I went downstairs at 7:26pm on the 25th of August to get some towels from the desk attendant but she was dealing with her kids running around the room and a man yelling at her about their daughter. It was highly unprofessional and I didn't appreciate it. I did not get a name however, but she seemed to be the only one working. She had brown curly hair and at least 3 of her kids were running around.

La Quinta Inns & Suites staff, cleanliness of room

I have always used La Quinta for business travel. I had my son and daughter n law stay in one in Oakland for my son's birthday. He was there to watch a Raider' s game on [protected]. First time ever. After driving for 12 hrs, they arrived to their room. They told me it smelled and the sheets had hair on them. They called the desk to report this and requested new sheets and blankets the person that provided the stuff was very rude. I called first thing in the morning. I was told that there was no type of management available until Monday. I told "Stephanie" I'm sure you have a number for any urgent matters. She said yes, but could not give me the number. It's basically employee run! So we have to deal with being unsatisfied for the weekend. This ruins the trip! I will never stay, much less reserve rooms for my employees or clients again. I expect issues resolved immediately and that a managerial person be available at all hours, on all days. I am a Director and if my client has a concern, then I'm readily available. La Quinta Inns & Suites management, quality,

Very disappointed in manager (Rosemary) a person slips into one of your elevators and you don't contact the person to make sure they are ok. Instead you tell them that you were expecting them to talk to the manager. That was after I had informed the staff member at the time what happened. That's poor customer service. They are using a eco solution that has some sort of oil base on ceramic, That doesn't dry quickly instead of something that would dry quickly. Another person slipped going out the door this morning.
On another subject the quality the halls smelt so did the room . I understand it's pet friendly but we smelt pee in the room . The Faucets are not properly installed.on a good note the pool was very clean and the breakfast was good. Two of the staff there were very personable Rob and Amber.

La Quinta Inns & Suites service

They assigned me a wrong room, without frigerator or microwave, instead was assigned to a disability accommodation room which I don't need, the room got a big gap under the door you can hear all the noise from the next door room and hall i could not sleep well, I went to the breakfast area 5 minutes before 9:00 am and the front desk lady was picking up the table I ask her for a bottle of water and she say they don't serve that, later I went to Denny's buy my own breakfast came back take a shower and get ready to leave, I was planning on re-heat my food at the dining are because I didn't have a microwave at my room and the lady that refuse to provide a bottle of water say she can't open the door anymore and she don't have the key only the maintenance manager, how can I front desk personnel don't have access to the whole hotel? She was so rude, unprofessional, not willing to help a customer already frustrated about the service, make this last visit beyond unpleasant, this was the worst horrible stay experience ever.

I had the pleasure to stay in the la qunita in buckhead Atlanta the rooms where very nice but there where some things that concerned me. The elevator was out for two days so we walked up and down with our stuff and child from the third floor for three days that was a complete headache. Then one morning on our way to breakfast there was a note the water was going off at 11am it was already 9 am so we had to change our plans from going to breakfast and shower, what happens if we didn't get up until 11 am and then the water didn't get hot again to the next day. Also I'm not sure how the room service goes but no one ever knocked on the door to clean the room after 3 days we had to request for some one to come and at least sweep the floor, we took the trash out our selves and bought our own laundry bags. But I can't forget the staff was friendly.

La Quinta Inns & Suites la quinta hotel 3500 park ave. west denver

Worst 3 nights of my life staying here. Unfortunately our finances didn't allow us to leave this hotel and find another while we were on vacation in Denver. No room service entire stay, I had to go to front desk to get clean linens daily. I also had to empty trash daily. Shower had so much standing water in it. The pool was unusable because of the filth in the pool. Floating hair and napkins throughout the pool. Dirty towels laying everywhere and bare electrical wires on exposed . I called the front desk and complainEd about these items but nothing was done entire stay. Will not be back to your hotels and definitely letting others know of our stay

La Quinta Inns & Suites sewer leaking in room

I stayed at the LaQuinta in Kansas City, MO on Taney Street in room 135. Upon entering the room I noticed a smell. I went into the bathroom and saw water all over the toilet seat. At first I just took a towel and wiped it off. I had just arrived and needed to urinate. I sat down on the toilet and felt water dripping on my head. It was leakage from the room above me. The smell tells me this was from the toilet above me. I went to the front desk and was told that they were aware of the problem. They stated that this room should never have been rented out, but that they were full. I could not get another room. How in anyone's mind is this acceptable? You are putting my health at risk. And, you don't seem to care. I reported this over a week ago with your customer service department and have received no follow up. Is La Quinta new motto: Screw the customer cause we don't give. F***.

La Quinta Inns & Suites hotel room

Before my arrival, I called the number provided on the site. They checked and said the pool was open as of July 31. Upon my arrival I learned the pool was on fact still closed. So I was told wrong. The fact that it is a pet friendly place is great but also causes a major issue that should be addressed. When we got into our room my legs were immediately covered in fleas to the point where I am now covered in bites. I had to reserve a room for the night for the purpose of I have a very ill child and a plug blew on my power pole causing me to have no water. So, I just needed a place for a night to keep my child. The whole experience was not good whatsoever. I am highly disappointed that I spent my money, that I did not currently have, on a room that has been a total disaster. I did not ask to change rooms just kept myself and child on the bed bc as long as we did not have to walk around the room we were not getting bit. I couldn't handle the hassle of changing rooms around with him after everything going on.

La Quinta Inns & Suites service and dirty linens.

We arrived late to check in. I has called to book a suite king with seperate room they told me it was a suite I had to book so I did. Upon entering room they said I had booked a king bed room. I had stayed there in the past we were super excited to go back. But they renevated. I went back and manager was on phone with front desk and told me if I was not happy to go rent at another la quinta. Very rude. We decided to stay it was late we asked for pillows. There was a foul smell in room we came to realize it was a pillow that smelled like [censor]. Actual [censor]. I can go on explaining how horrible it was to stay there even when I was moved to anotber room that I had to book online. We checked out a day early and they told me it was late to check out and would send me a receipt by email. I will never step foot in that la quinta again.

La Quinta Inns & Suites customer service, drugs, and sunken beds

Location at 8504 Universal in Orlando, FL, room 212. Upon Check-in was notified NO shuttle service. Our room was part of SeaWorld package. While still in the lobby the pot smell was overwhelming. Definitely NOT a family friendly environment. When we got to our room both beds were sunken in and extremely uncomfortable. The carpet was disgusting. We checked out two days early due to horrible hotel conditions and spoke to Rebecca a manager. Rebecca apologized for the conditions and hopes to maybe get new beds. Emailed my travel agent asking never to recommend this location again.

I have 70 photos in my phone of different things going on at this location. They have a lot of drugs & prostitution going on at this location., housekeepers work 9.25-10 hours with only a 30 minute lunch not sure but doesn't seem fair.. She gives 20-22 rooms a day and threatens housekeepers to do them all or not show up to work.. I went to clean a room & and began scratching like crazy from fleas have pictures in my phone. And the next day it was on my board to clean and was never bombed.. The first change should be the gm..

La Quinta Inns & Suites room

My name is Kimberly Williams. I reserved a room in Myrtle Beach back in March 2017 for July 23rd 2017. Upon arrival the price that was told was almost $100 more than when I made the reservations. I then called the call center to "fix" everything. After being on the phone with 3 different supervisors and one call center representative nothing was fixed. I then call ed for the 5th time and talked to a lady about needing the address to another location because the room that I needed was no longer available so they were going to discount the next room at a different location. She said she fixed it all and gave me an address to a place that was abandoned and not even a la quinta inn and that location was 30 mins away from where my original reservation was supposed to be. So i called back then I talked to a gentleman and he told me there was no reservation made in my name at all. I waited for 40 mins on the phone for another supervisor and no one ever came to the phone. I ended up getting to stat at 4709 location and it turns out the other location that got canceled actually didn't get cancelled and I was charged for that room as well. The 4709 location is where I stayed at and will be leaving on Wed, the other location charged me a total of $363 that i want a refund for. And on top of all this the room we got was covered in ants. Ants on the walls, ants coming from the window ants in our bed and now we have ants in our clothes that we brought. Something needs to be done asap about all of this.

La Quinta Inns & Suites la quinta at 190 n 10th street fowler, ca 93626 (rude assistant mgr-katie)

July 13, 2017 we arrived at the la quinta in fowler (We were warned not to check-in at this hellish hotel) at around 1:00 pm it was 110 degrees. We realized we were early (We were so used to being treated well at different hotels being a frequent flyer/frequent hotel stays as in marriott, holiday inn etc) we were told to come back in about in an hour. So, we went around the area... And came back at about 3:15 pm. Keys were handed by katie-assistant manager, was told the room was ready... To our surprise! The room was not ready! Messy, towels all over the place, bedsheets all over the place... Hell! So we went back to the front desk and this rude katie said it will be another hour to wait! With no apologies! She made us feel like it was our fault! The housekeeping personnel came to her making signs saying that there was no room! She did not offer to please have a seat offered us a cold glass of water etc. Nothing! And the lobby was so dirty! Newspapers all over the sofa! We asked to cancel and give us a refund. Rude katie said, she cannot refund us because she has run the credit card already! We told her that in black and white, cancellations before 6pm will be refunded! She finally refunded us with a note stating no show! She should write down... Keys were handed to guests but room was not done! I asked her about the corporate office and she said la quinta has no corporate office! She is very rude, the hotel is bad enough and plus the employee! Whoa! She should not be working in a public service environment. I tried to call the manager sylvia zuniga, but to no avail. It's been more than a week and no return call. Poor service overall. Will never come back to this place, recommend to anybody.

We recently stayed at LaQuinta @ 1561 21st ave North Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 from Sat July 15-Friday July 21. We are very dissatisfied with the whole stay. The first night, we found 2 big roaches crawling on the floor and a baby roach crawling up the wall. We informed management and changed to room 221 On Sunday. Our room wasn't cleaned on Tuesday. Wednesday, when we got back to hotel, the door was open and the change (5-10 dollars in coins) we had left on the desk was gone. We called front desk and reported that our room was left open and the theft. They took information and stated they would give to management in the am, on Thursday the 20th. We never received a call. We asked the front desk about the situation at checkout Friday July 21 and they said they would talk to the housekeeping about it and gave 25% off last night stay. I thought that was an insult. They never apologized or acted like they cared about what happened to us. We spent $1131.77 for 6 nights. This the worst experience I've had staying at a hotel. I think we are entitled to a full refund.

I do apologize regarding the palmetto bugs found in your first room. I will be honest, we are battling them as it has been so hot outside and with the high humidity and rain they are getting into the building. We actually just had our building power sprayed on the outside to try to combat these pests from trying to get inside our building.
I do also apologize regarding the change missing from your room, I was not aware that this happened. A note was probably left for the housekeeping supervisor. This is something we do take seriously, we have spoken with the housekeepers and reminded them to make sure all doors are shut when they finish cleaning a room.
I have comped a night due to the issues you had, I again apologize. We will be getting in contact with Expedia to ensure a credit it put onto your card. This will usually take a couple of business days. Thank you again for your comments.

This is my response back.

I know the difference between palmetto bugs and roaches. These were definitely roaches. We told you this but seems some deniability going on.
As for the change that was stolen, that wasn't the main issue. The door was not just unlocked but was open. Who knows who and how many people were in our room and went thru our things. Also, your security locks on your outside doors don't work on all doors. So, anyone could have walked off the street.
This was our first vacation in 4 years. I wonder how management would feel if they had this happen to them?
I will forward this to La Quinta's corporate office and see how they respond.

La Quinta Inns & Suites laundry out of order

Staying at a newer la Quinta and the laundry room is out of order. Called the front desk and told us they would not get a pair of pants clean for the next morning. Had to stay unexpectedly and my husband did not have clean pants for work the next day and they were not helpful at all. Would absolutely not stay at this hotel again due to lack of customer service.

I arrived at La Quinta Inn West Palm Beach Turnpike on July 14th. Before I could get in the door the clerk yelled "We're not taking any coupons." I was horrified with the lack of customer care skills shown. The coupon that I had was clearly for this location because that's how I found this hotel. If your location refuses to honor coupons clearly linked to their establishment this shows horrible customer service/public relations!

La Quinta Inns & Suites laquinta inn in waco

I stayed at this location June 12th and 13th. The condition of this Motel is deplorable and unacceptable. I talked to the person at the customer service desk in the morning and she said they were getting ready to tear it down and build a new one. I would like to request a refund of my stay. I contacted a 1-800 number and also emailed someone from your main website and have not heard anything regarding my stay. I have photographs on my camera but seem to be unable to attach them. Says the file is too large. The parking lot was full of giant potholes, trees or breaking down the fence causing the fence to go into the parking lot. The motel was very dirty outside, had some rot on the bathroom door trim, door falling off of the AC unit, ice machine was broken, among other things.

My husband booked us a room in Longview Texas on July [protected] . We had loud neighbors both night but I managed to deal with it friday but it got so bad Saturday that we had to tell front desk. The front desk clerk did call the room and ask the individuals to quite down but needless to say she told them what room called. When we checked out Sunday morning the guests had thrown eggs all over my car so I tried to talk to the manager. The manager was gone according to the clerk. The clerk said I had to call back because she was not there. My husband call back three times and the clerk stated the manager just left. I feel management was avoiding our call but I speak to corporate office regarding this matter.
