La Quinta Inns & Suites poor management and service

I went to see a room at the LaQuinta on Causeway Blvd in Metairie, LA. There was housekeeper hanging over the desk who didn't acknowledge us until we spoke to her.
We asked to speak to a manager and she went behind the desk and came back to tell us that the manager could not show us a room because she was training an employee.
The housekeeper told us that there was no one to show us a room. We then proceeded to walk around and found an open room to look at. So very unprofessional!

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with one of your establishmets. My husband Andre Harrison and I recently stayed at the La Quinta Inn, located at 3501 NW LeJuene Rd., Miami, FL 33142. We checked in on Thursday, September 27 and checked out on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

The only reason we stayed is because we booked months in advance and it was too short of a notice to go somewhere else prior to our cruise vacation after traveling all the way to Miami from Arizona. I have video of the bugs that were in the room that I would like to submit to you along with this formal complaint as evidence. I also believe the health department should immediately be made aware of these horrible conditions that people are being placed in AND are being charged money for! Potential and/or even current customers would be interested to know about the bugs so they can at least make an informed decision about patronizing your organization; I may also pay social media a visit to share my horrible experience and video there as well. The very least that should have been done for us is a FULL REFUND, not just spraying the bugs and changing our room only after we INSISTED. As a matter of fact, our room was changed a total of 3 times! Water started leaking into the 2nd room almost ruining our electronic devices and we had to hurriedly transfer rooms after being moved from the bug-infested room. One of your housekeepers whose name tag read Grice also entered our room WITHOUT KNOCKING OR FIRST ANNOUNCING HERSELF! When I got up to confront her, she denied that it was her and pretended that she could not understand English but she knew EXACTLY what I was saying! Our privacy was totally violated! I eventually received a half-baked, generic apology email from someone named Erika Diaz. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE LAQUINTA MIAMI AIRPORT EAST! I am still asking that a full refund be issued immediately for the abhorrent conditions to which we were subjected. I respectfully request a reply within two business days upon receipt of this correspondence. I may be reached by email at [protected]@gmail.com.

Reyna, the manager refused to honor my rate given and had proof of my confirmation. They said since privately owned they have the right to not honor my rate given. She also had her assistant call me 2 min prior to checking in and advise me if I wanted to stay there they would need to increase rate by $80.00. DO NOT STAY HERE! Unprofessional! They carry La Quinta name but don't HONOR or respect the brand name!.

La Quinta Inns & Suites hotel room cleanliness, grout mold, disgusting smell and breakfast products

Recent hotel experience during our 6 state/high school reunion vacation trip!

During our trip we stayed in three different La Quinta Inns and Suites in 3 different states, along with some other hotel chains as well. One of the reasons we chose that hotel chain was their accepting pet policy and the fact their rooms include a refrigerator and microwave. I premake and package the dog's food, which is heated slightly prior to serving. We have a plug-in adaptable travel refrigerator for our car too.

We had a 3 day reservation in the Reno, NV location, which was made several months prior to our road trip. We arrived late afternoon and checked in. As soon as we opened the hotel room door, a foul disgusting odor hit us in the face. We quickly turned on the air conditioning. I surveyed the rest of the room including the bathroom/dressing area. Made my way back to the front desk and ask for a room change!

Well that wasn't going to happen, the hotel was booked solid...no room at the Inn (per se). Seems Reno was also hosting 50, 000 motorcyclist participating in the 2018 Street Vibrations Fall Rally! Oh dear! And about 200 riders were staying in our hotel. Just swell being vibrated up by the loud, rumbling motors early morning and all throughout the day and night!

We tried calling everywhere to switch hotels, all pet friendly ones were booked. Nothing was available. If we hadn't already bought Harrah's Automobile Museum and 2 Live Show tickets we would have left the city.

So a trip to the grocery store for bleach, Febreze fabric and air sanitation spray was in order. It was so bad I actually checked the mattress for BED BUGS! I have never in my life done that! There weren't any, thank God. The bathroom grout had mold growing, the floor tile grout was black as well, the lamp fixtures and shades had a thick layer of undisturbed dust buildup, the popcorn ceiling had water stains, and all corners were either dusty or plagued with moldy grout. We wore shoes the entire time we were in the room. Our clothes ultimately absorbed the same disgusting room smell because they hung in the clothes closet.

Their 'full breakfast' was a prepackaged, cellophane wrapped egg, sausage and potato burrito to heat in the microwave. Think convenience store type food. Fruit offering was a packaged lunch box style fruit cup medley in heavy sugar syrup. Something quite different from the other two locations fabulous breakfast experiences.

I believe the hotel chain's franchise management and local health inspectors need to converge on this disgusting establish. It needs to be closed until these issues can be remedied.

La Quinta Inns & Suites cleanliness, black mold!

We arrived Sept 24th 2018 and there was mold in the shower and on the air conditioner! I contacted the front desk and they told me to email the gm. I emailed him and NEVER EVEN GOT A RESPONSE! Ridiculous. Will NEVER stay at a La Quinta in again. We have always stayed at La Quinta over the years but now having a baby I won't take a chance if they can't even clean the showers. Gross.

Hi,
It's the most unpleasant experience I have at La Quinta in Albuquerque on llill road. I wanted to take hot shower and there is no hot water. I called front desk and they said they can't nothing about it. Room is not also very well maintained. This is not acceptable at The price your are charging me for the rooms.i would not recommend to stay at this place. Even the breakfast they served here was horrible.

Too many pets in the facility Many guests had at least two or more pets. Checked in Tuesday October 2nd checked out October 6th. Throughout my stay had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. Yesterday, Friday October 5th was the worse. Left the room around 8:30 am returned about 4 pm. Bed was not made, trash was overflowing, no fresh towels, and needed toilet paper again. I called the Desk Clerk and inspect my room. Problems were corrected but the Collinsville location is lacking housekeeping supervision.

"Bad place and expensive. We arrived very late and tired around, 1:00 am. All we wanted was to rest and sleep in since they told us that the check out was until noon. A couple of hours after, these people woke us up at 6:00 am. All of the loud alarm clocks went off in all of the rooms, you would say somebody set it up in your bedroom on purpose. Well, that was not the case. I heard it in other rooms and people were slamming doors. These kind of owners use this technique to get rid of you as soon as possible, and not to hold the cleaning ladies after 12. The other technique that these kind of people use is that they give you a call at 8:00 am asking you if you would like to stay for another night, even though you informed them the day before that you clearly said 'one night.'

I DO NOT recommend this hotel location. The owner will not change. They did not please us as customers."

On September 29, 2018 Were arrived at 1:30pm to check in to room and was told due to the sell out of rooms the night before they were behind in cleaning and it would be after 3pm. I told the clerk that we were in town for the LSU and was going to eat and then go the game were not going to drive back for check. He then told me that would be ok they would have a room when we got back. I then call at 5:30 to see if i could check in reservation over phone and was told they do not do that. That he would make a note we were at the game. Arrrived to hotel around 11:45pm to check in. Got our room and walked into destroyed messy room. Went down to get another room the clerk left to check for other rooms and make sure they were cleaned. Finally found one and told us that someone left the heater on and he turned the AC on. Got into the room and it was unbearable. Went down to check out because i did not think $188 a night to sleep at this hotel was appropiate. I was very upset about the room situtation and I never got an apoligze for the inconveniece. So my family and I left the hotel around 1230-1am to find another hotel to sleep at. The rooms needed to be updated. The staff was not prepared for the influx of people coming for this game weekend.

So I needed a place to stay this seemed great at first then I leave for five mins to get my dog some food and I get called saying my dog is disrupting residents. Totally fine it's whatever I decide to go back to grab him and just get refunded because I literally just got there they said they had to charge me cuz he jumped on the bed and I wiped up urine off the floor with a rag. None of my rags were even touched but I blew it off. They eventually talked me into staying so I would get my money's worh so there would be no refund telling me to just not leave my dog unattended. I would just like to point out when I got back to my room the housekeeping made a comment to me about how loud he was being. Anyways it was all good and dandy. I call to ask what time early check out is to make sure someone will be down there for me to even be able to check out. The lady gets on the phone with me and is like what is early check out I'm like I mean if I check out before I'm supposed to... she goes it doesn't matter when you check out ur getting charged. I'm like I know that I was just trying to see if there was a certain time and she's like no it doesn't matter I still have to pay thanks and hung up. Extremely rude and annoyed because I've had a [censored]ty day as it is I already can't go anywhere because now I can't leave my dog unattended in a pet friendly hotel and then every time I ask a question they act like I'm trying to get something for free. This is ridiculous I don't appreciate being treated this way and I see the way they talk to others and maybe it's just cuz I'm young or don't have the nicest clothes Idk but they do not speak or treat me with the same respect and ever since I have gotten here I have felt like a burden. I'm currently still here but I'm pretty sure I'm about to say [censored] the 80 dollars and just go. When my husband took leave last year and got to come see me for Christmas we stayed at another location and it was great, but I will forever have a bad taste in my mouth for the la Quinta inn now. There was a Hispanic lady at the front counter earlier she was great but as for everyone else I'm done. Im Scared to speak to a manger because I don't feel like getting talked down to by these ladies and they also have my card on file lol. So sorry to send this minuscule problem on here but I am just upset.

When I checked out ... the receptionist did not inquire why I was checking out or did not seem to care that I was supposed to stay for 2 more nites.
I reported that my stay was terrible
When I checked, in the very nice front desk man
Isaac had to come fix frig that was not working. We noticed a strong cleaner type Oder in room 122 .
I noticed Stains on the bed and food crumbs on and under desk. Carpet was wet around the AC unit . The room smelled terrible. I ask to be moved. Room 118 was also very stinky . I noticed back door exit was unlocked all the time . I never had to use my key to get in plus cigarette butts all around back door.I had been driving for 15 hours prior to arriving at the hotel so I decided to hunker down for the nite. I woke up several times in the nite with a headache and watery eyes! Smell was like a musty old stinky sock. Did not feel safe here. Should not charge $87.00 for such a terrible hotel. I expect to be reimbursed for such poor service

hello my name is Donyae Molett I recently stayed at your la palma California location.. your customer service was nice.. now as for my room it smelled of urine and my tv did not work.. they were able to switch rooms for me I was willing to pay more . I got to the next room 327 from 326 and the toilet did not work and the tub was dirty inside heres a pic. There were lil bugs nats flyin around i was completely disgusted. My children and I were there . I paid almost 300.00 for these nights and it was the worst room ive been in ever .. please respond accordingly my email

La Quinta Inns & Suites hotel and room condition

I am retired and my wife and I stayed at LaQuinta located at 10555 Reiger Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 checking in around 8:30pm on September 28th and checking out at 11:50am on September 29th.

I am not one that normally complains, however, our experience and this facility was so deplorable, I feel I should bring it to your attention.

The front outside of hotel had cigarettes butts and trash near door and around benches.

Severe water leak in hallway which you HAD to walk through to get to our room.

Hallway carpet was dirty and had not been vacuumed.

Room was not clean.
Toilet had "grunt" on insides of toilet (not cleaned); shower/bath had scum on edges;
dirty used washrag was left hanging on shower curtain bar;
found a cigarette lighter on the floor by bed; dresser drawer had 2 unused ladies sanitary pads and an open box of KY jelly in it.

When brought to the attention of the night clerk, he was apologetic, but offered no remedy or took no action to rectify situation.

We had traveled and previously made the reservations to attend a wedding in the area the following morning, and unfortunately, there was a major college football game so the hotel and others in the vicinity were sold out.

When I brought to the morning clerks attention upon checkout, she was apologetic and said she would "mention it to housekeeping".

I/we will NEVER, EVER stay at a LaQuinta again!

Absolute ridiculous and horrible experience!
We felt like we were staying at a hotel; where you could rent rooms by the hour.

I hope you can get it straight.

For the third day in a week my suite has not received any housekeeping services. No towels, bed not made, trash not emptied, no vacuuming, no replacement of soap/shampoo, etc. After the first two times my wife and I complained to the Manager. We thought the lack of service was rectified. Now we return from a long day trying to put our house together due to flooding to return to an evident lack of caring for the customer. The young lady at the desk just told me "I don't know what's going on with the housekeepers." Well we don't know either.

I had just started working there as a housekeeper well as soon as I started had no idea that I was going to be training in laundry for 2 weeks while the girl in there went on vacation, I had done laundry before in other hotels and knew what I was doing and how to do I did one week and got told by the manager on duty that I was too slow and they were pulling me out to do rooms which really affended me and hurt my feelings I ended up crying and should of walked out but stayed to gety hours in I ended up not coming back there again ! I think that manager should be fired cause he was a jerk for what he did to me and I am never ever working for laquinta inn again ! This is the laquinta inn in moon township by the airport ! Thanks !

La Quinta Inns & Suites hotel in missoula

I recently stayed in your Missoula hotel. We had 2 rooms. The reason for our stay was my Dad was having heart surgery the next day. One room was so he could rest. They are currently roofing the building, the noise was so loud, that there was no chance of rest. Between all the equipment and dumpsters, there was no parking. No mention of this when the reservation was made or we would have stayed elsewhere. Very dissatisfied!

La Quinta Inns & Suites co-worker

On Tuesday the 25th of September I was pushed by a coworker Aurora. I have been bullied the entire 3 months I have been at la Quinta in Reno NV. GM Erin acknowledges this but I have seen no action. I have been in her office more than once the bullying and twice in tears. Still I went to work and still was bullied by Aurora and Elena who has been there for 10 years. I understand Spanish which they thought I didn't during mine and Aurora confratations Elena cussing me out. I have told this Erin as well. Other coworkers have complained and Erin has told us to "stand our ground".The day Aurora pushed I texted Erin to let her know the problem. There was no call or text back from her as I thought if one of my employees got pushed IMMEDIATELY would I want to address the situation. She did not as to that is why I choose not to go back.The 24th Erin had allowed Elena to have her son at work. This is just another example of what Erin allows these woman to get away with. There have been days I did not show up for work because of the bullying. I truly loved working there and got along with EVERYBODY never have I had to deal with such at a workplace and I wish nobody else would have to go through that. This is why I am writing this. I don't wish to go back but that something is done for future employees. I thank you and appreciate for taking the time to read this.

This is a letter I send to your GM after she fill out an incident report, no one have done nothing. I want all my money back, this is terrible way to treat your custumers.

My name is Alejandra Risso, I'm currently staying in Quality Inn, 1505 Belvedere Rd, west palm beach. We arrived Thursday morning with my parents and my 2 daughters in law. I rented 2 rooms one for the girls and one for my parents and I. It is our first time in Florida, we just moved here after a long journey from NY. We needed to stay in a hotel until the moving company gets here. My dad is also going to start dyalisis a couple of days. To my surprise even though the rooms looked good, during my first night I felt bites as I was sleeping. When I woke up my right arm, left hand, right and left leg had multiple bites. I went downstairs and spoke to Karen who I believe is your manager. She had no life when speaking to me, no compasion or sympathy. She looked at me like I had three heads. I asked to switch our rooms which she did, but she did not offer to help me with medicine or show any concern that this happened to me. This is a serious matter. Tomorrow we will be checking out, and I want some kind of compensation. I have felt terrible these past few days, feverish, swollen and worrying about getring an infection. I could not go to the emergency room because I do not have insurance here yet. Attached below are pictures.
