Krugman Roofingmisled estimate

Krugman roofing might be a rip off company. A man came out to give an estimate for the roof and gutters
He said that it would take one day and would costs 3.200.00. He would not leave the estimate paper.
When he returned with the contract. He said that he did not exclude the cost of gutters. He said the
the total would be 4, 000.00

This is how roofers work: they tear off ur roof for the downpayment u gave them or about 33 %. Then they want another 33% when they deliver the tiles or shingles. When finished they collect the remaining.
U should always get more than one (written) estimate. Ask to mark down the entire size of the roof and when u have that u can get more estimates over the phone.

That's a douche bag move! What if the guy who took the measurements is off; are you going to hold the poor guy on the phone to his numbers? There are also so many other factors that affect the price: roof pitch, feet of valleys, number of stack boots, Type of ventilation required, etc. Also, the first guy coming out has given his time, gas, risked his safety, ... so why does everyone else get to price the job with out putter in the effort. Why would you slight all these people and yourself with this move.

The collection method you describe above is NOT going to be the same for every company as they are going to set their own policies.

Don't think you're so smart that you outsmart yourself.
