KitchenAid Kettle

Hi, I've been using a Kitchen Aid electric for over a year now without difficulty or issue. Purchased at Debenhams. Today the kettle would not work. There is power going to the unit. The indicator lights are on. The temp lights are on. The kettle just pings non stop and does not heat. The temp is set at 100oC as usual. I'm disappointed that a kettle of this quality and cost should not function.

KitchenAid Side-by-side refrigerator (krsc500ess01)

We have a 2 and a half year old Kitchenaid side-by-side refrigerator that we have been very happy with. Recently, the ice maker stopped making ice. We had a repairman come to evaluate the issue, and he discovered severed wires at the bottom of the freezer door as the origin of the issue. He commented that this was a known design flaw of our type of Kitchenaid refrigerator, and that the problem can only be corrected by a replacement freezer door. And if replaced, the same problem may well reoccur. And, if additional wires are severed, the entire refrigerator will stop working.

He was quoted $1, 313 for a replacement door part that would also require substantial repair time as only part of the door gets replaced, and the older parts need to be removed from the door and placed in the new door. It apparently is not a simple process.

Totally disappointed that we purchased a Kitchenaid based upon our belief in their quality only to find a known design flaw that costs well over $1, 000 to repair, and after having the refrigerator for only 2 1/2 years.

Originally filed compliant under Whirlpool (that owns KitchenAid), but no response. Chat function on their website doesn't work, and over 30 minutes on the "help" line without an agent.

Exactly same issue here. Took it all the way up to the CEO They could care less It should not be a crime to open and close a freezer door If wires break they should be easily repaired #Designflaw Reported to BBB and Consumers Affairs Next step looking to file a class action suit

I have the same issue. Just called KitchenAid, and will have service come out this week. Also discovered that the door will need to be replaced... not looking forward to this. Did find a youtube video on how to splice the wires to correct the problem...

Will be writing to Resource@whirlpool.com regarding this issue with their design flaw... So dissappointed.

And, this is the ONLY fridge that will fit in the existing space of my kitchen without major work to cabinets above.

Model KDPE234GPS

November 2020 the machine stopped working

The Warranty Valid until 12/03/2023 (we bought extra warranty for 5 Years)

We called the company to repair the machine
After TWo weeks the technician came to check it he found the MOTOR was broken ؟and it need to replace it
Just Two years with little used and the Motor broken
We ask Kitchenaid to replace the dishwasher because is not good for reputation of the company

KitchenAid Dishwasher

Bought a brand new Kitchenaid dishwasher from Sears in Ontario, OR. Paid $990 on Nov 17th. Didn't get it in until Nov 25th and we finally got someone to install Nov 30th,. It leaks down at the bottom the same day it was installed. Never did work right. Called the manager at Sears and he said he couldn't help us because we didn't buy the warranty. I thought local stores would take care of problems that happened immediately. Everybody else that I have bought appliances from have covered it locally. We need a response or we are going to dispute on our card and tell Sears to pick it up.

KitchenAid Kitchenaid refrigerator/warranty issue

Issue ref no: [protected]
On 10/7/20 I noticed my refrigerator was not cooling and my food items started to thaw.
10/12/20: Called appliance technician to check, and diagnosed the Seal System was broken and still under warranty.
10/13/20: Called KitchenAid/Whirlpool for warranty service (1hr hold). The fridge is 4yrs old, and Warranty covers the Seal System for up to 10yrs.
10/14/20: KitchenAid tech came to see the fridge and confirmed it was the Seal system and was ordering parts, parts would be shipped to me, and to call after receipt to schedule installation. Parts would be delivered on or before 10/28/20 and he gave a follow-up appoint.
10/26/20: Called to check on the status of the ordered part, only to be told its on back order, not sure when it'll be received and shipped out, if nothing happens by end of next week, then they'll decide on what the following course of action would be, without any definitive timeline for resolution.
The Resolution agent I spoke with could not understand the fact that I have been without a refrigerator for over 2wks, and did not show any compassion or offer alternative.

KitchenAid Refrigerator model #krsc703hps00

Purchased and installed new refrigerator 11/13/19. The freezer stopped working and a few days later the refrigerator stopped working in early January 2020. Called and they came out to repair 1/13/20. They replaced two parts that control the temps in each of the compartments. On 10/20/20 the refrigerator stopped cooling and when I called for service was told the earliest someone could come for repair was 10/30/20 (9 days). This is twice in less than a year the refrigerator is not working. I asked about reimbursement for the approximately $300 of perishable items we have lost during these outages and was told the warranty does not cover those items. I also asked about replacing with a new refrigerator and was told they only replace if they perform three repairs for the same issue within a year.
I am very concerned the warranty ends next month and based on the previous track record this refrigerator is going to cost me significant money to keep it operational going forward.
I am very disappointed the company is not concerned how this is costing me money by having to throw out perishable items along with the the inconvenience of having to live with a nonoperational refrigerator for almost 20 days this year.

KitchenAid Any kitchen aid appliance

Don't buy kitchenaid, if you do go ahead and bend over because you are screwed. I bought a set of top of the line kitchen aid ovens. Almost 4000.00 dollars. Within a few months they had to replace the main control board and the sensors. Well guess what the service man just left and he is ordering the very same parts again. Kitchen aid will not replace this product even though it is defective to the point that the same thing goes wrong again. They basically laugh at you while they are saying so sorry nothing we can do for you but hey you bought the extended warranty. So I ask and what happens when it happens again and again. After all it has already happened twice. They say buy another extended warranty. Sure what do they care that these things cost big bucks. I had to save up to buy these ovens, they were supposed to last the rest of my life, I am 72 but now I will be buying another set after I run thru the extended these are going to the dump.

Trust me don't fall for the pretty like I did, granted they are beautiful too bad that they are junk.

Don't know if this will help, but Kitchenaid is really a decent company. They do some pretty impressive appliances.

It sounds like you're concerned about this problem replicating itself. Might I suggest getting an electrician to check out your power lines and fuse box. Where you're trying to run more than one oven, it could be the cause of everything.

KitchenAid Built in refrigerator/freezer

We have been trying to get our built In refrigerator/freezer fixed since April. After 5 service technician visits and replacing a seal 3 times, still no luck! I will never buy another product again from Kitchen Aid simply off of customer service. No reason we should be getting the run around. We've thrown away our food in our freezer three times now going on number 4.

KitchenAid krsf505ess01

Wires in harness coming out of bottom of freezer door are broken. Ice maker not working, ice dispenser not working. Purchased this refrig. from Allentown Appliance along with a dishwasher, oven and wall oven on 3/22/18 and had it delivered and installed on 4/19/18. This is the second problem I have had in 2yrs. 5 mo. The design of harness at bottom of freezer door is poor to say the least. I have seen some bad designs in my day but this one takes the cake. I will not buy another freezer door for $1000.00 as there is no longer a harness available to repair. This is the 3rd refrig. and kitchen package I have purchased from Kitchenaid. One in 1995 and second in 2008. Both refrigs. are still going strong. I see this failure all over the internet so you cannot tell me Kitchenaid is not aware of this problem. I am very disappointed to say the least and I will never purchase another Kitchenaid product or will I ever recommend one of you products. There should be a repair kit made available to repair the wires vs. having to replace the entire door. I would appreciate a response

KitchenAid KBFN502ESS02

The kitchenaid refrigerator we recently installed (1 week ago on 08/06/2020) model kbfn502ess02 - a built-in model (at about $9, 000.) does not hold -5 degrees f in the freezer. Some of the foods we use like that temperature. The documentation about the model in the user manual says the set point for the freezer is -5 degrees f to 3 degrees f. We set -5 f into the system. We today 8/12/2020 had a service tech (factory authorized) check the freezer and he found that the average temp in the freezer from the diagnostic panel showed 0 degrees f over the last 10 hours. The factory rep he talked to said that was within specs. There are no specs in any document other than the set point can be as stated above. Do not buy kitchenaid. There products look good but don't believe any documentation on specs.

KitchenAid Kitchenaid 6 quart stand mixer

I loved my first KitchenAid but after 20 years I passed the first one on and thought I was upgrading.
I was wrong. This mixer cannot even mix 5 cups of dough with the dough hook on low speed without the lock on the tilt mechanism shaking loose and the tilt head going up and down frantically. If I had wanted to stand with my hand on top of my mixer pushing the head down while holding onto the lock for ten minutes to knead dough I would rather do it by hand.
I have no idea why this is happening, but in its current state this machine is useless since its primary function in my kitchen is to assist with baking.
I wish I could steal back my old mixer which had a lift handle instead of a tilt mechanism!

KitchenAid Refrigerator

6 years ago they removed the biggest lemon from a box and called it a refrigerator. Since that day I've had nothing but problems with this machine. Day one the compressor broke down, then after that the computer board in the back, then it was evaporator fan. Fan and sensor inside machine to keep the cooling system going. Interior lights falling out of place, broken freezer drawers and tracks. Now after 6 years the cooling system again froze up and 3 O'clock in the morning the water line inside the back of the machine broke and flooded my kitchen. Kitchen aid will not stand by their fruit(refrigerator) and the quality of their products is terrible. At the time I bought 4 pieces for my new kitchen each one was repaired at least twice in the first year. This whole experience with kitchen aid has been a nightmare from the beginning.

KitchenAid Refrigerator edr2rxd1 and dishwasher

I have a 25.8 cubic foot lemon. I have had nothing but problems. It powers off out of nowhere, it was beeping for because the door was reading that it was open when it was closed. They came from service to fix it and then forget it. Now there is no cold air. The light does not work. The drawers do not work. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am having paid over $4000 (with warranty) having had PC Richards come in to fix this garbage 4 times already and its still not fixed.
Now the dishwasher goes on but dos not run...I cant take much more. These are new appliances and they are horrendous
DO NOT BUY KITCHEN AID PRODUCTS...THEY ARE GARBAGE

Good afternoon,

I am very disappointed with the product as well as customer service that I received from whirlpool canada.
When I bought my house, I decided to purchase all my appliances from kitchen aid brand - fridge, gas range and dishwasher. This story is about my second kitchen aid dishwasher that I bought 5 years ago. The previous one lasted me 15 years and was amazingly good and reliable. I would love to keep an old one, but the upper arm broke and I decided it is time to buy a new one. Since I had such great experience with ka, I never considered another brand.in december 2015 I bought second ka dishwasher model kdfe104dbl0. Maybe after 1 year I noticed small dark spot at the base of my kitchen wooden cabinet where the dishwasher was installed. I didn't pay much attention until last months when I saw a puddle of water under the cabinet. Called technician who told me that the water is coming out from the motor. His price was $200 plus the part. I went online and found that this particular model had numerous issues, those issues were related to faulty water pump in the motor. I was upset and contacted whirlpool customer service line where they told me that they never heard about any issues with this particular model. Personally I am very dissapointed with the brand and most likely will never purchase ka again.

KitchenAid Bottom freezer kitchenaid refrigerator

Worst product I've purchased. I've had it 3 years and the bottom freezer has never not leaked. NoW the ice maker is throwing out broken plastic and eventually just stopped working. Don't waste your money thinking KA is a quality product. Never had such a head ache over a refrigerator. Poor product and big safety issue knowing a child could swallow broken plastic from the ice maker which is not visible. It's sealed inside and not even sure where or why plastic is able to be sheared off in to ice itself. Cheap product thinking KA wasn't cheap but it definetly is. Don't purchase!

KitchenAid kitchenaid 706ess

I bought a Kitchen Aid 706ESS just in may 2018. On Christmas Eve my daughter says there's something stinky in the fridge. It was a coolant leak. I called Kitchen Aid for service for which they sent out a service call for Dec.30th. This guy charged me for the service call- diagnostics- $125 and said he needs parts from the manufacturer. I called Kitchen-aid customer service after being notified my technician couldn't make the scheduled date. I requested a new fridge as this one is obviously a piece of junk leaking poisonous coolant in my house for the kids to breath in. They said they NEVER replace fridges, they just service them. A Lie. They sent out someone finally on Jan 13th! He did a repair job and said I'll contact you tomorrow to see if the fridge is working. This morning the fridge isn't working & it leaked all the poisonous gas once again into the house. This is day #21 with no fridge & no idea if it will EVER get fixed. All i do know is they won't replace the piece of cancer causing junk & the days pass bye...
I will NEVER NEVER order anything from this company or it's parent company again, and i suggest you don't either. This is a horror show worthy of Mike O'Shea & SOS.

KitchenAid gas range

Should have done this year's ago. After our home burned down we replaced our 2 oven Kitchenaid Range with a 1 oven one. The controls got EXTREMELY HOT when oven is on. Cannot touch! I called and has the door replaced a year or so ago, thinking it was a faulty seal! Nope! Same problem. The adhesive on the dial facing melted off..have to guess on flame temp. On stove. Why did you all let this happen..not check it out! Now we have to buy a New range so I CAN cook!

KitchenAid kitchenaid dishwasher superba eq series model 566kude48fxss

Dishwasher is one of the top of the line washers. Purchased in 2012. Quit working in May 2019. Control Panel went out. Replaced with new panel which did not even last 5 months before failing. Called KitchenAid and they did not offer any kind of reparation and only a half-hearted "sorry". Been loyal KitchenAid customer for years (Whirlpool before that). I will NEVER buy another KitchenAid product.

KitchenAid kitchenaid kmbs104ess

I ordered a 30 inch KitchenAid oven and this microwave. The oven has come in, however, you have failed to provide me with a paid for microwave. I get told it will be here in south Florida 11/4. I get called from Lowe's stating this microwave will not be available until 11/30.
This is absurd. I have contacted other appliance vendors and they all concur Whirpool is the worst for delivering on time. I don't know what we will do, but buying anything from Whirpool has left me with a bad taste. Your customer service tells me nothing except "our computers are Down!" This is totally absurd. Did you just stop making them until you feel ready to work on them ? Social media has you rated very poorly and I know why. All of you are just complacent people who do not care about consumers.
